[Q] My new Lenovo A850+ Andro 4.4 Octa does not start :( - Lenovo A850

Hi guys,
1:
2 weeks ago I ordered this:
Original Lenovo A850+ s MTK6592 Octa Core 1.9Ghz 2GB RAM 5.5'' 1920x1080px 13MP dual SIM Android 4.4 mobile phone free shipping
aliexpress/snapshot/6095479197.html
My happiness was short.
After I connected the phone to USB and noticed battery at 78% I tried to start my phone.
So I pressed Power on, wait, wait...wait..nothing. Nothing for 4 hours of frustration.
I connected it to my PC and for a few seconds MT65xx preloader appeared. I managed to install USB drivers, hoping to
get my hands on this phone other way than by powering it on by a button.
Unfortunately nothing works beside short battery status on the screen of this phone after I connect it to PC or a charger.
The battery is at 100% but the phone never starts.
Has anyone seen something like this?
Is it possible to bring this phone to life or should I forget about it and throw it to the trash bin?
2:
When I connected my phone to charge it and it showed the percentage for a moment, it never reacted to any button to turn on the LCD again
and show battery status. Looks somehow to me like power on button is damaged/not connected internally or whatever.
3:
I also wonder if it is really 1080p ips screen. From battery status its hard to tell. They claim its 1080p. Possible?
Cheers

your phone is original phone or clone phone? A850+ has only 1gb ram http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/e3a02b7a

@ aroPL:
If you bought it from AliExpress with those specs, it is obviously a clone.
Genuine A850+ does not have these specs, not even 4.4, only 4.2.

It is a clone with upgraded specs.
I managed to get into "factory mode" but no key works to set some chinese test or reset it.
Held power for long on each item, but still without success.
Anyone has an idea what combination of buttons works in factory mode to select
menu item? Volume up/down works as item change. Where is "enter" ?

At this moment I am convinced that Power On button is faulty. Does not work at all.
I connect this phone to PC via USB, hold Volume Up or Down, different recovery/boot menus appear.
I can navigate through them, but confirmation with Power On does not work.
It seems the reason this phone does not work is trivial - power on button.

Sorry, but your phone is a clone, not is a original Lenovo a850+, the original have android 4.2, the processor is 1.4 or 1.7 not 1.9, sorry!

I have no experience with A850+, but surely I (may) know what you are facing.
I will try solving your prob via theory. Satisfaction not guaranteed.
FIRST THING FIRST...
-You stated that you charged your phone till 100%. I assume you saw a big blue battery icon on screen. Did you press the power button while it's plugged? If no reaction, probability of ONE that your hardware buttons dead and you have to go to the phone dealer...
...oh wait, you ordered it online.....uh
Sorry to say that you are officially a victim of mobile phone fraud. And I assume that site, or vendor, or host is CHINESE, the country that's nothing original.
If that's the case even Obama can't help you. I'm very sorry and I know your feelings.
Looking forward to your reply if something works.

[Completed] [HELP][BRICK] Jiayu S1

Well, this is the situation:
Recently bought a Jiayu S1 and G3C imported from China. Both arrived well and working, but then after a week, the S1 suddenly shutdown for no reason:
-Didn't fall, so no damage.
-No humidity, it has been stored always in a dry place with silicon cover.
-It has full battery in the moment it has suddenly shutdown.
-Didn't modified the ROM, stock ROM.
After the shutdown:
-Black screen, it doesn't show anything.
-Sometimes I plug the USB on the computer and it shows the LED indicator like it's charging, then 1 minute and it's off again. The LED only appears again when I plug it to the wall charger, but it happens the same, it switch off the LED again and then it only appear if I change it again to the computer. Is like it reacts only to the change of intensities between connections.
-It doens't make any sound while pushing the power button.
-Trying to enter recovery mode, "Vol.Up+Pwr" and "Vol.Down+Pwr" but nothing appears on the screen.
-Already tried with a JIG USB, but it doesn't works
NOTE: It has warranty, but I need to send it back to China, I tried to send it back, but there's a law of aduanas that we can't able to send something with batteries inside, this Jiayu S1 is unibody, so it has integrated battery, and it can't be disabled, so I can't send it even having warranty.
I have been asking for a solution with the after sale department, and they can't give me a solution for it, for now, it has been a great unit that has been working for a 1 week before turning into a brick and hey, 200€ spend for a 1 week phone and actually 1 month as a brick.. Im so mad with this, and the only thing I can do is to ask help here.

Soon I will post a video with the phone..
For more information, I connected the phone to my computer and it appears in the devide manager as a QHSUSB_DLOAD.. I found some link on google, but there are solutions for HTC and Mi2, but not for Jiayu S1, as it never appears anything about this phone sadly.

Z3 will not turn on no matter what

So this morning i unplugged my phone, fully charged, and used a flashlight app. Then all of the sudden my phone just went black and i have not been able to get it to do anything for over an hour and a half now. No matter what i do it will not turn on. Ive tried to power button/rockers combo to get it to turn on, nothing, Ive tried the little button in the sd card compartment, nothing.... Anyone else have this issue? I cannot find anything on the Z3 for this, only stuff for the older models... Thanks.
Hold volume up and power button until the phone vibrates. Then connect a USB cable to your computer while holding volume down on the phone. If the phone is recognised by the pc you should be able to flash your phone using flash tool and hopefully that will get you back up and running. That's the only solution I can think of. Maybe some other members might be able to help if this don't work.

Nothing... I cant get the phone to do anything at all. I really do not understand.
I can't help then mate other than suggesting taking it back to where you got it from or sending it to Sony. Hopefully somebody else can help you out to save you the hassle

Hello, my girlfriend have the same problem in his Xperia Z3. When she works his phone lying on the desk. She want call to me and the power/lock button don't work. She call to me from other mobile phone and she describe problem. After 10 seconds search in google I find a way to restart phone. She pressed little yellow switch under nano Sim/micro SD plug. Phone power down and never give up. Power button is dead, combinations : vol+ and power , vol- and power, vol+ and vol- and power also didn't work. When I plug the USB cable the charging will start normally. In screen I have a big battery icon with animation.
Maybe someone have similar problem with Z3 and know a solution??
Well if its the button, tap to wake could solve the problem till you decide to get it repaired.
It could also be a battery issue. Try charging for a few hours on a charger and then try turning on after connecting to a PC with phone drivers by holding the power button for like 10secs. That is the method used for HTC phones with similar issues.
The HTC One X had battery issues for some where it would not turn on until it was connected to thr charger for a few hours. I had, had the same issue you mentioned and tried the method mentioned above but never turned on. Repair shop tested the battery and eventually had to replace a bad mothetboard.
That is not normal and even if you could get it back from that sort of failure, you don't want this device unless it is fixed or replaced.

Still nothing. Power/unlock button is dead. Today I go to sell point (T-mobile Poland ) and leave for warranty repair. I used Xperia Z3 for 2 weeks
If you are within 14 days TMO should give you a brand new device.
I'm having the same problem too. I tried to use the flashlight app for the first time and it just completely bricked my Z3.

Hello,
Xperia Z3 back from repair few days ago. Message from service: hardware repair, updated soft, phone is 100% functionality and compatible with specification from producer.
Ive just received my z3 as replacement for g flex and its from Plus poland lol.
Sent from my Xperia Z3 using XDA Free mobile app
Just happened to me today- Xperia Z3 Compact
So last night, i left my phone to charge after reaching 5%. When I woke up, my phone won't start and it won't charge either. The LED indicator was not lighting when it is plugged.
I tried every trick:
1. Pressed down the power button in different lengths.
2. No. 1 but with the volume down key
3. Pressed down the yellow button on the sim card tray
4. Tested 5 different charger heads and different wires
5. Tried connecting to 2 different laptops to see if my phone will be recognized
I work close by a Sony Center so I was planning on passing by after work. I was already having a really bad day and my phone is not under warranty. Throughout the morning, I'd randomly check the power button if it will finally work. FORTUNATELY, during lunch, the LED indicator finally lit up! The batt was drained so I had to charge it and wait a few minutes before turning it on. Finally it's on. I don't know what the eff happened or if it is really resolved.
I'd still want to know what the hell is wrong with Xperia Z phones??
Mines 'died' twice, both times the only way I could get it to turn back on was to connect to magnetic charger dock/cable
this is really works on me.. !!! try this one.....

just do the no .3 ... and it works to me... thank u for posting this .. it helps me a lot.......
It's called the 'sudden death' bug and a small number of sony xperia phones die from it., including the Z3. It is more common in the Z3 Compact (I suffered from it and had to get it replaced). Just google sony Z3 sudden death.
Did the OP use a quick charger on his Z3? The reason I ask is that the repairer I sent my Z3C to originally said the motherboard was gone and needed to be replaced, possibly cased by current. I used to use a quick charger on my Z3C and wonder if it caused it as the phone worked perfectly for 6 weeks before dying.
There are several so called fixes and workarounds that work for some people, not all. Only a motherboard replacement fixes it properly.
Fix for Z3 not powering up / no charge LED
My Z3 would not power up and no charge LED when cable plugged in. Finally found this solution on Sonymobile support website which fixed my phone!
To force the device to restart
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") until the device has emitted three vibrations, and then release the OFF button. The device turns off automatically.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
If a forced restart procedure as described above doesn't succeed in turning on your device, you should try another kind of forced restart - the 2-minute restart procedure.
To force a 2-minute restart
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") for 120 seconds (ignoring any vibrations), and then release the OFF button.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
I had to hold the 'off' button for about 60 seconds before the phone vibrated and sprung into life - phew!
I bought mine with the broken screen so I don't know for sure what happened. Bid won for $37
The led light came on when plugged in, but no vibrations. The computer recognized it and installed as the D6633. Properties show the battery had charged to 29%, 60%, 99%.
But clicking into it just shows a blank page. No folders, drive volumes, or anything.
However if it is not hooked up to a charger or computer then as well as no vibration there is no lights either. Does get a little warm though.
Bought the new display and powerflex. Still wont turn on, no vibrations, and only shows led when plugged in.
Tried the volume up, down, power, all three, reset button in sim tray.
PC Companion can't work with it. It almost worked once but said if there was a google account and I did not have the info I would be facing the whole account lock fiasco....No thank you. Can't even get it to recognize it for that option properly anymore anyway.
Could easily connect it into fastboot mode, but getting it into flash mode took much much much more effort. But eventually I did and flashed an image with flash tool. Went fine. Flashed everything......NO CHANGE......
I'm guessing at this point maybe the board was more damaged than seems....Though it's weird how the computer recognizes it and can flash everything.
Or there is a damaged power IC, transistor, capacitor, or something.
I really hope Sony took care of this in the Z5 and it is no longer an issue in future devices. It was said in a few comments above that only a few people are affected....Yet there are endless searches and pages with a dramatic number of users facing it.

No response or any indication from my Z5 after a black screen

Here is what happened. I was playing Crashlands when I noticed that my battery is at 3%. So ran to get my Quick charger to get some power fast. After connecting it, I tried to unlock the screen and it went black after a second. So I was thinking that it just shutdown because of low battery. I pressed the power button and noting happens, just the red light showing it was charging. Then I tried soft restart (power + volume up) and it vibrated 3 time and probably shutdown. From that point noting I did started the phone. Even using the off button next to the Sim tray. When I connected it to my PC is ether recognized as Unknown USB device or SOMC Flash Device. I should probably mention that the phone was hot from the game before connected it the charger.
I had the phone for one year and a bit. It is not rooted and i just recently installed the lattes update from Sony. Currently I have it put to charge, at least it looks like it is charging (gets little hot).
Is my phone bricked or something else? What should I do?
I have same problem like this.
Hope someone can help us.
QHSUSB_DLOAD device will show when Connected PC.You can use Flashtool to install the driver.
Unknown divices : because you should complete shut down the power (Disconnect the buttery ).
flash tool will find the phone ,but can't flash.
seems Z1 have a way that find the test point to recovery boot file.hope z5 have the same way.
Sorry for my Poooor English ,hope you can understand what i say and have someone Help US.
