[Completed] [HELP][BRICK] Jiayu S1 - XDA Assist

Well, this is the situation:
Recently bought a Jiayu S1 and G3C imported from China. Both arrived well and working, but then after a week, the S1 suddenly shutdown for no reason:
-Didn't fall, so no damage.
-No humidity, it has been stored always in a dry place with silicon cover.
-It has full battery in the moment it has suddenly shutdown.
-Didn't modified the ROM, stock ROM.
After the shutdown:
-Black screen, it doesn't show anything.
-Sometimes I plug the USB on the computer and it shows the LED indicator like it's charging, then 1 minute and it's off again. The LED only appears again when I plug it to the wall charger, but it happens the same, it switch off the LED again and then it only appear if I change it again to the computer. Is like it reacts only to the change of intensities between connections.
-It doens't make any sound while pushing the power button.
-Trying to enter recovery mode, "Vol.Up+Pwr" and "Vol.Down+Pwr" but nothing appears on the screen.
-Already tried with a JIG USB, but it doesn't works
NOTE: It has warranty, but I need to send it back to China, I tried to send it back, but there's a law of aduanas that we can't able to send something with batteries inside, this Jiayu S1 is unibody, so it has integrated battery, and it can't be disabled, so I can't send it even having warranty.
I have been asking for a solution with the after sale department, and they can't give me a solution for it, for now, it has been a great unit that has been working for a 1 week before turning into a brick and hey, 200€ spend for a 1 week phone and actually 1 month as a brick.. Im so mad with this, and the only thing I can do is to ask help here.
Here a video with my bricked Jiayu S1

Soon I will post a video with the phone..
For more information, I connected the phone to my computer and it appears in the devide manager as a QHSUSB_DLOAD.. I found some link on google, but there are solutions for HTC and Mi2, but not for Jiayu S1, as it never appears anything about this phone sadly.

[Completed] Xperia Z2 Brick

Hello, I bought a Z2 back in November, but it completely stopped working after 6 weeks. No customs ROMs, no root access, nothing. It started lagging, so I was going to restart and it just wouldn't turn on (I turned it off at 32% battery). I plugged it in, and no charging light o anything. I was away from my house for the weekend, so when I got back home I tried seeing if I could fix the issue. Luckily, I still had my old LG Optimus G Pro (that i'm still using). I bought the phone new (sealed in factory packaging) from eBay (never buy from seller "never-msrp") and their return policy is 28 days. They woudn't take it back, and after calling whoever I could to get my money back ($439.99) the bank finally gave it back (they might not let me keep it, I had to send a letter explaining what happened. Still waiting to hear back). So, 2 months after it stopped working, I'm stuck with a broken Z2. To explain what it does: at first, nothing. No lights, vibrations, nothing. Now, if I plug it in, the red light comes on, but if i unplug, it still does nothing. When plugged in, the phone will have a red light, but if I push the power button, it starts to blink very slowly. Like on for a few seconds, off for a few seconds. Different combinations of power and volume keys yield the same result. Pushing the red reset button when plugged in makes the phone vibrate 3 times, and nothing else. not a thing. Pushing it while unplugged does nothing. The computer does not recognize the phone, and the PC Companion won't install correctly (I get an error saying the program did not install properly). So at this point, I don't care what I do with it, I just want to make it run something. Android, Windows, I don't care what. Is there any way I can get this phone to boot up into any OS or is my poor phone done for good?
PS: I called Sony and asked if I could get a replacement, but when I provided my IMEI, they said my phone was from Hong Kong, was never meant to be sold (whatever that means), and has no warranty. So that's no use.

[Completed] Troubleshooting for Galaxy s5

Hi!
I don't know if this is the right place to post this; if it isn't where else could I get help?
For the past 3 days, my s5 has been doing this thing, where it has massive lag for a couple minutes, then completely freezes before I can do anything else, and nothing works except the power button to put it into sleep mode. When I turn it on, each time I don't get a lock screen or anything, just a black screen with the little black notification bar at the top, (this is also totally frozen. For example, if I plug my phone in, it doesn't show up on the battery icon). Nothing works, except the power button to put it back into sleep mode. The only way I could figure out to turn it off, was to take out the battery, then put it back in, an turn the phone back on. This cycle happened 4 or 5 times each day, today, yesterday, and Tuesday. It was obnoxious, but I figured it was just an android quirk, and it would eventually 'go away'. It did not. This afternoon, after removing the battery, the phone would not turn on, or vibrate, or do anything else. It has been charging for six hours. What caused this, and can I fix it?
I do not have any form of warranty on the phone.
This is a standard Galaxy s5, except:
-broken microUSB flap thing, (Yes, I know. The phone isn't waterproof anymore. It has been broken for ~a month, I was going to replace it eventually. The phone has not been near water, although it might have been affected by humidity.)
-3rd party battery from ebay. I've had this for about 6 months. I don't know if it could be affecting the problem.
-32 gig sd card, bought from Samsung, (2-3 months old)
PLEASE HELP! I can't afford to get a new phone. Thank you so much!

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
Do you have a custom ROM on your device?
If not, try to make a factory reset, it will help for sure .
Good luck!

[Completed] HTC Desire 826 Screen Blackout

My friend got his new HTC Desire 826 in July 2015. He is having issue with his phone, the screen totally blackouts. He doesn't want to repair the phone because it has no more warranty and will cost much to repair. He asked my help to recover any data possible from his phone.
This was the info I got from him: The phone would restart itself once in a while in the recent few months of use (almost the time that the warranty ended). The screen would black out sometimes, a physical hit on the phone helped to recover it. At the last few moments before the screen totally blackout, the screen showed the mirror image of what it's suppose to show (he had to put it in front of a mirror to read the message). And then it just died and never come alive again. He can't remember whether he set the phone to silent mode.
What I did: Removed and put in the battery, pressing power button gives me a short vibration (I assume that means it can be turned on). Dissemble and reassembled the boards, flex cables etc. No burn mark or broken connection seen. Connect to TV using MHL cable, no signal detected. Soft reset by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP button, it vibrated and screen was still black. Since then, charging after turn on doesn't shows red light below the front camera. The metal cover above the motherboard was usually very hot whenever the phone is on. I'm working like I'm blind, omg >_<.
What's wrong with the phone? What should I do? Possible to repair? Some questions I'd like to ask.
1) Using MHL, does the phone screen need to be working then the TV will show what's on the phone screen?
2) Is there anyway I can connect the phone to other external screen and control externally?
3) I'm hesitant to repair the phone, the heating up of the motherboard scares me that the phone won't last long even after repair. Anyone has this phone and how do u go about this heating issue?

Help with galaxy s7

I posted this on the tmobile site but can't seem to get an answer. I have no idea what to do.
So I've had my phone on for at least 7 days. A notification from Samsung's plus app told me to reboot it because blah blah it helps or something.
So I turned it off.
Now it wont turn back on. Tired holding power plus volume down. Tried booting into recovery. Don't have a Windows PC irght now to plug into and try things , but will install windows on a mac via bootcamp.
When I plug it into any charger. Nothing.
When I set it atop a wireless charger. The wireless charger detects it, meaning it lights up. But the phone itself doesn't give any LED notification.
Phone gets warm while on wireless charging pad also. So it may be charging.
What is going on? Any advice?
Plug it into a charger, hold the vol down and power button for like 30 seconds then the screen should turn on saying its charging, then just power it it on.
Nothing. It gets warm when charging. But nothing.
Am I pressing it wrong maybe?
Strange that usually worked for me when i couldn't turn on my phone normally, can you get into download mode? Vol up + home + power.
Well this sucks i can't turn my phone on now, the battery was depleting somewhat rapidly so i rebooted the phone, once it got to the unlock screen it froze. Now no matter what i try i can't get it to turn on.
Today it managed to start charging, but when I turn it on when it's charging the screen freezes into a garbled mess, without charging it manages to boot.

Same charging from PC?
Tried a different cable?
I have a Lumia 535 that messes up touch if I use my Sammy charger, same if I use my Raspberry Pi charger on my Windows tablet, the touch screen goes mental
Try a different charger / USB lead
I used various cables/chargers so that wasn't it. I went to a Samsung repair center and they suggested that... I have too many apps installed and that's causing the issue? Oooooook, granted this was just a rep and not someone doing the actual repairs.
Again my battery was low and I decided to reboot it and I can't start it again, very strange. If I get it working again it seems easy to duplicate if I goto Samsung again.
Called my credit card company and they have extended warranty on all purchases so i'm safe, the samsung store suggested to bring it in if happens again and they'll extend my warranty 3 months too.

Too many apps installed... how do these guys get the job in the first place, even as a rep?
It does sound hardware related, I'd probably use your 3 months ext warranty before it expires and the S7 finally commits suicide
Don't think knowledge is a requirement for these types of jobs, phone died again after a reboot and I can't start it anymore, going to the repair center after work.
It would seem not
Hopefully you get someone with at least some knowledge to help this time, likely you'll be needing a new motherboard / phone, unless it's something a bit less drastic like a dodge USB port
I thought it would be the usb port too but i tried using my wireless charger and the light on the charger was on meaning it was charging but it still wouldn't power up, i had it plugged in the whole day today and its completely dead.
Anyway it seems samsung warranty goes by build date + 1 year + 3 months leeway, unless you give them a receipt and then its just one year, so mine was built in feb 2016 so it has warranty till the end of may without a receipt.
Ah well, I suppose at least you get a new phone / board out of it, even thought it's a PITA RMAing your phone
Mine was manufactured 2016.08.16, just two weeks before I got it, so I guess that means November this year without a receipt, but pretty sure I still have the receipt anyway
They replaced the board and all is well now, first time any of my phones failed like this, and it had to be the pricey one.
They did it there and then for you? Was expecting a few days at least, nice job
Yea I've not had any failed phones to date either, hopefully not this one either
I dropped it off at 4 yesterday and it was ready by 7, i was a bit surprised by the speed too, seems they got all the parts in stock.
Can't complain about that service, makes you wonder if they have them in stock and can replace them in such a short time for a reason though... hope it's not a common fault
