Check that the micro-SD card has space is larger than 8 GB.
Decompress the SDupdate_Package_Compress.tar.gz file and the directory structure will be displayed as follows (check that the directory files are intact):
Main package and customized data package:

There arev2 Methods to Update
1. Normal upgrade can be used by users to upgrade the version or for other situations.
2. Forcible upgrade can be used on phones that have power-on failure and need restoration, or for other situations.
Normal Upgrade
Step 1: Prepare a micro-SD card
Step 2: Copy the dload document to the root directory in the microSD card.
Step 3: Insert the micro-SD card to the phone and then power on the phone. In the home screen dialer, enter *#*#2846579#*#* -, and the Project Menu page will be displayed. Go to 4. Software Upgrade > 1. SDCard Upgrade > OK.
Forcible Upgrade
Step 1: Prepare a micro-SD card
Step 2: Copy the dload document to the root directory in the microSD card.
Step 3: Insert the micro-SD card and press the volume and power buttons at the same time. The phone enters the automatic upgrade mode, and the upgrade is started.

Any update on the selfie camera? With the new update can the beauty mode really be disabled ?
It's a good phone but the selfie camera it's a shame

What's new in this fw and how are you ment to do it when. The phone does not have a micro SD slot?

Anyone got info on the varsioning/naming scheme used? I guess 8.1.0.108 corresponds with AOSP versioning, and Cxxx is Huaweis build? How does Huawei number their builds? What about the first code "CLT-L29"?

8.1.0.xxx is build number
Cxxx is country/carrier code
CLT-L29 is model number

When do you expect that patch to come out officially? In Europe?

ALI12 I can confirm that this ROM works normal for both the Boost Mobile & Virgin Mobile xt1766 variants as well. Good find by the way. You always amaze me with your resourcefulness. I work for Motorola Mobility and you find stock firmware faster than I can get it.
Anyway, I am uploading this to my file host cloud now and would love to use it to update my stock firmware thread to this latest version. Of course, I would like your approval first. You will be given due credit in the OP if you approve. Thanks as always.

It's a Windows program for flashing Moto firmware. It essentially runs the fastboot commands for you.
So, no not TWRP flashable.

It works with windows 10 also.
Phone in fastboot mode.
Point and click. Easy peasy

Anyone have link firmware for China Mobile (CMDC 中国移动) A2 (M636) to flash on qpst ? I found only dumped firmware from cm2qlm but I have not any dongle or box.

as my tittle says , how can i downgrade my new installed firmware to old one ? is there any tutorial ?

Do a RAW flash of the firmware you want to move to OR do a RAW flash to any lower versions that you can find here, then upgrade to the version you like using the official ASUS firmware file.
