Would be very happy if we can have the 636. This particular variant firmware is very difficult to find.

Any new fixes mate?

Anyone got info on the varsioning/naming scheme used? I guess 8.1.0.108 corresponds with AOSP versioning, and Cxxx is Huaweis build? How does Huawei number their builds? What about the first code "CLT-L29"?

8.1.0.xxx is build number
Cxxx is country/carrier code
CLT-L29 is model number

When do you expect that patch to come out officially? In Europe?

Both of them are supported.
If you currently with custom recovery want to back to stock firmware, or can't boot into system correctly, Computer is required to restore your phone, the only requirement is the phone can boot into bootloader (Power off, hold Volume Down + Power button).
OR
If you currently with official system with official recovery, but facing some issue like theme or icon incorrect, you can simply using OTA method to fully refurbish your phone.

OK, If your phone currently with official EVA-L09C636BXXX firmware, you can directly select EVA-L09C636B168 in my tool, and set the proxy in your phone. But you need select download full package in [Settings -> Updater -> Menu -> Download latest full package], because this tool only support push full package. In OTA mode, It would not clear your data to do this upgrade. BUT a backup is still recommended.
Glad to know that "it would not clear my data" ,lol ..thanks for your help! ..ill adjust the settings too.
For VIE-L29C636 u only have B130 but B170 is the latest firmware?

This looks awesome, might use it to update my phone seeing as Huawei are not interested in updating it!!!
I have used this tool to update. Current version on the phone states L09c432b170. But no sign of Nougat as far as I can see. I was expecting split view, a new launcher and a new status view. But neither of these seem to have changed from b166. What am i missing here...? Any ideas?

that would be because this is not an update to android 7. update B170 is no difference in anyway at all to B166 - it's a pointless update as the changelogs of both these two updates are the exact same as each other. if you wanted Nougat then you have to install the beta version for your phone or go to candy/rock shop.

As far as I know, If that is a operator customized edition, I'm not recommended for cross region flashing (like flashing European version in Australia).
Based on the information from official website, supported bands for each region are same. However, the differences are some advanced functions, like VoLTE and Carrier aggregation.
I've checked the relationship of B (Build) version across different C (Customized) version, seems that is not strictly related to each other.
That means, the basic system version of B138 in Australia and B161 in Europe might be the same.
Thus, I suggest you flash to a nearest C version for fast update with better compatibility.
As far as I know, the C432 is the general version for Europe. The C636 is for Asia Pacific.
Cheers

.. well, for downgrade you should use this official tool http://www.hihonor.com/uk/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=84943, and you will have 5.1.1 .. but, this yours marshmallow build number is not latest, maybe you should try 860 first .. install firmware finder by Team MT from playstore .. for now I only have problem with sd card unexpectedly removed, still I'm not sure this is software related
i confused what i should i use first? firmware finder by Team MT from playstore OR the tool from hihonor ?

Download Firmware Finder on your device. Open it, and change your model to FRD. In the list of updates, updates like FRD-B391 are for your device.
(I cannot however guarantee it but it has to be it because updates like these included C00 region just like your device has. Still, I will download the firmware for you and will confirm if it's indeed for your device)

probably about this :
"owners of devices with EMUI 8.1+ out of the box, the functions of sending the firmware to the System update will not work on your devices.Owners of other devices on EMUI8 and EMUI5, if you have an update with the May security patch andabove, you probably also have this feature stopped working. This is due to Huawei's transition to a new update distribution server using SSL encryption. At this time, there is no way to make the function work."

Hello, what about 9.1.0.237 or 9.1.0.238. It is shown in firmware finder for PCT-L29C432.
Is it not compatible or just not yet added to this list.
The versions from this list, is it original version from Honor or any change to make it working with HSTool ?
Would it be a good idea to download 9.1.0.238 via firmware finder and flash with HSTool method?
can anybody add the 9.1.0.237 for download??

9.1.0.237 or 9.1.0.238 are just fine i'm moving from apartment and haden't any time adding them yet.
UK user on the Three network here, just received the update to 9.1.0.237(C432E1R2P1), was previously on 9.1.0.229.
Not sure why there's a week's difference from other European countries, but I'm just glad I have the latest security patches.
Is there any changelog for .238? Is it just android security patch or are there some changes in software?
Can i
1. extract UPDATE.APP and copy it to dload folder of my usb drive.
2. start force upgrade.
Added latest 244 firmware.
