We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:

Nice

Thank you very much, Sir!
This is awesome news : )

Woo hell yeah

If you before install flash stock oreo rom (and you dont use hex kernel) dt2w works well but camera has issues (back cam =12mbpx front cam =5mbpx)
And if you install mi a2 camera magisk module, Fingerprint works well.
I think mi a2 doesnt have fm radio

Which twrp should I use
I am switching back from 6x to A2

Resurrection Remix G+
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm building Resurrection Remix for myself now and thought I'd share it for those flashaholics that just need that 'one more' ROM
Now that I've been building this for a little while, I'm in the process of trying to get approved as the new official maintainer for this device. I'm now tha guy.
This is intended to be a vanilla build without any changes from the default though I do have intentions of making my own minor tweaks down the track.
I hope to provide fairly regular updates to builds with the latest repos.
ROM includes Magisk Manager & root so if you want to flash an alternative, you'll need to flash the magisk remove tools beforehand.
OTA has also been implemented but the first Official build will need to be flashed to be able to be notified of future OTA updates.
As usual, any bad flashes are not my responsibility if anything goes wrong with your device.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Install instructions coming from a different ROM (ie. TouchWiz\LineageOS\MIUI etc...):
1. Download ROM, GApps & favoured root method (Magisk / SuperSU)
2. Do full backup in recovery and Internal\SD Card data (at your own risk if you don't)
3. Full Wipe (Caches (Dalvik & Cache), System, Data(Wiping DATA will clear your Apps & App Data - BEWARE!))
4. Install ROM followed by GAPPS & ROOT method.
5. REBOOT!!
Install instructions for updating from an earlier version of this ROM:
1. Download ROM & GApps(if flashing newer gapps).
2. Do full backup in recovery (at your own risk if you don't)
3. Dirty Wipe (Caches (Dalvik & Cache), System)
4. Install ROM followed by GAPPS. (Root should be retained but reflash root zip if necessary)
5. REBOOT!!
Links:
UPDATE: I've made the ROM rootless despite the poll numbers. Found that users were experiencing issues. It should be easier if people flash Magisk/SuperSU separately.
AFH - HLTE - 13/03/2018
AFH - HLTETMO (SM-N900T, SM-N900V, SM-N900W8) - 13/03/2018
AFH - HLTECHN (SM-N9008V etc...) - 13/03/2018
(I only have the HLTE variant so I cannot test HLTETMO or HLTECHN builds. Any attempted fixes will also only be purely speculative until confirmed by users)
(Also, Sprint users should be able to flash the HLTE build going by some reports from users)
Sprint support has officially been removed from the device trees (Sorry!)
GAPPS
Magisk / SuperSU
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known device specific issues:
* Night Light feature not working due to supporting Live Display
* Camera Panorama mode crash when processing image - should be fixed in build 17-09-2017
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Confirmed working on my n9005:
*WiFi (possibly not the wifi disconnect when asleep issue)
*GPS (works personally, others reporting different)
*Ext sd card
*Rotation (not sure of weird glitch with some apps - I haven't experienced this for a fair while)
*Auto brightness/brightness adjust
*Bluetooth
*Infrared
*Camera switch rear to front - no delay
UPDATED INSTRUCTIONS:
If you experience your SIM not being detected from build 9/7 & onwards it will be because of changes to the HLTE repo device trees in Github and you WILL need to update your Bootloader/Modem to correct it.
Follow @StockholmSyndrome's instructions below. Thanks @StockholmSyndrome
Updated: Specifically for N9005\HLTE models, use the Nordic baseband uploaded by @svbarbosa
to get a very good GPS lock speed instead of the one linked in the below instructions.
His thread is HERE if you would like to also read about other ways to improve your experience or:
Click the link to go directly to the Nordic Bootloader\Baseband AFH download.
StockholmSyndrome said:
Once again, I updated and clarified the instructions.
Thing is, only with baseband update the SIM card will work.
Here are my instructions, feel free to copy&paste them as you like:
1.) Download the latest baseband that matches your phone (duh):
for N9005: vidwhal: Recommended links are in the above text for n9005\hlte
for N900W8: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298969743
for N900T: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298969970
2.) Download a copy of Odin (3.12.x): http://dl.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.12.7.zip
3.) Power down your phone completely, take out the battery for a few seconds
4.) Go into download mode by pressing Volume-Down + Home + Power simultaneously for several seconds
5.) Connect phone via USB cable until Odin says "Added"
6.) Click on "Options" and uncheck "Auto-Reboot", then load your Baseband file (_Baseband_Firmware.tar .md5) into the "AP" slot
7.) "Start"
8.) Wait for success and green light
9.) Unplug USB cable, reboot phone by holding down Power button
You are now clear to install the latest official LineageOS\RR for your Note 3!

would you like to build RR roms for hltespr?
I cannot find much hltespr lineage/RR rom.
thanks for the ROM mate, but can you try to port paranoid that was released yesterday for our device ?

@vidwhal will download today and give a try for sure.
Thanks for your efforts.

Biggest difference would be Trader is using their kernel sources. I'm building directly from RR\Lineage repos but since Trader is now official, there may not be much difference at all with the kernel after all
I'm hoping to do fairly regular builds though so it may (or may not) be more frequent than what either Trader (or Lord Eko for that matter) is willing to output.
This is also for my benefit to understand the process more thoroughly with regards to building, and possibly later with actual development.

1, Its very easy to comment on any dev, but its far more difficult to fold your sleeves and build one yourself.
2, Android is an open source community. If one dev picks-up any rom and develop/maintains it, whats wrong? If you dont know thats what open source community philosophy is based on and thats keep development non-stop! What is the point of reinventing the wheel?

Dude, again, wasn't having a go ?? but those code bases have been around for a while, Trader wasn't the lone dev involved with those projects (though I'm sure they've made their valuable contributions themselves), but way to go for misinterpreting my intention with my post *sigh*

- WiFi desappear after start or reboot (I would like to keep it at start)
- No need SMS/MMS app
- dark theme is not working
That is my first feedback. I haven't test radio yet.
Nice job, thank you !
So now everyone will copy @GuaiYiHU work just building more and more custom roms but all with the same working/notworking list. Nice spam

Thats not right i created a complete New tree for clover only some commits are from him. Most of the work i did on my own. I see no reason to use him as i use a common sdm660 for Wayne clover and jasmine with a device tree to support all device releated Stuff

I see zero problems with this. Good work gets credit and is used by others. Why would you want to force GuaiYiHU to maintain dozens of roms?
Sad to see so much hate for Xiaomi's decisions to finally open source their code for developement and sharing excitement with development of different user experiences.
I unable to test this rom, every time it get problem on password screen...... I try to use the step in the guide, flash with miui 10 or mokee rom, but the same problem, encryption from data corrupt

You have to Format data (including internal storage)
Any chance of having real full-screen gesture like OxygenOS, MIUI?
I like AOSP but on-screen button doesn't make sense with tablets.

this didn't fix it for me. i went into root explorer and replaced the file that existed already. I pair with bluetooth and the problem is it just won't output the sound to the speaker or headphones. when you go to sound output the speaker or headphones are listed but it won't let you select either one. the sound comes out of the tablet speakers no matter what.

I think he and I were referring to a sudden influx of ROMs in development section, it happens to many devices with only couple of people actually working on a code and all others copying their code. It was always like that, nothing new under the sun.
There's no hate here and this ROM is good

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.
*

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-custom-roms-stuff-t3876375
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Awesome work! Installed it last night and no issues so far, really fluid and smooth rom. Lost 1% battery over night with wifi on. Thanks Dev ?
Well played @Nebrassy,
Nice to see you maintaining ROMs for our device.

To God be the glory, my AOKP Pie project finally works!
This is not a dirty unicorn. This is the original unicorn, the AOKP.
WARNING: This is for phones that are still using the 50.1 firmware base! Not for phones that have upgraded to the 50.2 firmware!
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****
A huge thanks to the Android Open Kang Project team!
Another huge thanks goes out to @LuK1337 for all of the great development that he did on the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra! He did most of the heavy lifting by making a great LineageOS build, upon which this AOKP is based. Please note, this is an UNOFFICIAL ROM.
Disclaimer: AOKP is not responsible for any damages to your device.
All of my work is completely available for any who wish to use or modify it. I didn't make AOKP, the device trees, or vendor blobs. I simply used and edited existing material. A huge thanks should go to those who actually created this stuff.
This Unofficial AOKP ROM was built for H3223 (discovery), but may work on some of the other variants, please try at your own risk. However, if you do try it on another variant, please be sure to let me know in the comments how it worked (or if it didn't).

WARNING: This is only for those on firmware versions 50.1.xxxxxx, not for those who are on firmware versions 50.2.xxxx and up. I plan on working on updated firmware versions later.

There is an ENG and USERDEBUG build. The ENG build is marked "ENG" for testing purposes only. You can install anything you want, but I recommend not installing the ENG build.
Gapps link:
http://opengapps.org/
If desired. Personally, I've gone Gapp-less.
Installation instructions:
-Download ROM and gapps, and put them on your removable sdcard storage. (Or leave on your computer and flash with adb sideload.)
-Reboot into the bootloader.
-Fastboot boot your TWRP.
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe everything and format data.
-Install Rom. (Either from adb sideload or from your removable sdcard storage.)
-Reboot to system and enjoy!
If you also want Gapps:
-Reboot again into the bootloader.
-Fastboot boot your TWRP.
-Install Gapps. - Optional
If you plan to install magisk (good idea), then let the rom boot the first time, then go back to TWRP and flash magisk. This is optional, of course.
What works:
Code:
So far everything that I have tried works, such as
- Camera for pictures and video!
- Phone calls
- Data 3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- MTP
etc....
What doesn't:
Code:
- Nothing else that I know of, but if you find something, please let me know so we can try to fix it!

Change log:
2019-08-22
-Stable userdebug build.
2019-08-21
-Stable ENG build. Fixed previous issues.
Had to edit a lot of components within AOKP rom source to make this work, which makes a repo sync difficult.
2019-08-20
-Booting ENG build, unstable. Issues with Bluetooth stack and encryption key sizes, as well as issues with gestures.
Rom notes:
As @Ultramanoid pointed out in LineageOS https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80053444&postcount=219 You can use Open Camera to allow you to switch between all three cameras (one rear, two front).

I'm staying on RR probably, I was a fan of it when I had my z ultra, back when I used to port
Just a side note, I noticed that someone else is downloading my test kernels, and I have absolutely no problem with that. But do be aware, some of these test kernels may not work. I'm in the process of testing them. So flash these kernels at your own risk. When I have a good working kernel, I'll put it out for the whole group.
Just a teaser video.... Booting built in TWRP:
https://www.mediafire.com/download/pqdldlzikokodw4
Plan is to add it to all the ROMs that I make for this phone.
Good morning everyone!

I was planning monthly updates to this rom for security purposes, which I am also doing for RR. However, the AOKP source code still has quite a few issues that makes building very difficult. I have to hand edit a lot of fixes to get a working build. So unfortunately I am waiting for AOKP to build without issue first before building another update for this rom. I'll check back periodically to see if they fix the repo. If you need the monthly security updates, I'd recommend LineageOS or my other rom, RR.
Thanks,
