[Q] LG G PRO 2 (D838) International Version - LTE CONNECTIVITY issues with AT&T

I am not able to connect to LTE Network in AT&T, I Have tried resetting the LTE settings and explored possible setups in Secret Menu. Still No luck.
If anyone has faced the similar issue, then please post the Step by step procedure, I have rooted and also flashed latest Stock ROM. Still no Luck.
if anyone has successfully connected to the LTE Network on AT&T using a custom ROM also, please let me know
Regards
John
I will owe you a beer if this can be cracked. :victory::highfive:
D838 does not have LTE Band 17 for AT&T only the F350 models have the correct 700Mhz support

is there anything at all that can be done?
I tried flashing the ROM and updating it to the Taiwanese edition, even though I'm able to see the band 17 in the hidden menu, I'm not able to choose it. When I try to choose Band 17 from the Hidden Menu, it displays a different band number.
Is there a way to get it to work?
John
According to pdadb.net, none of the F350 variants support NA 3G or LTE bands. The only G Pro 2 that support NA 3G and LTE bands is the D830. I can't find any retailers that sells it.
My F350L begs to differ. All F350x supports most North American HSPA and LTE band, with a notable exception of LTE band 4.
Here is a screen cap with Band 17 and phone model.

AT&T GSM Band Missing

Hello,
I have a question maybe someone has the answer. I live in the united states and my phone carrier is AT&T. I recently purchased the Huawei Mate 7 Model # MT7-L09. Its a great phone but is missing band 17 (700mhz) This seems to be the primary band for AT&T GSM. Is it possible to add this in order to use GSM on AT&T? Rom update? Radio update?
Thanks !!

V10 vs View 10 LTE bands?

I think the main difference between Chinese V10 and European/US View 10 is the LTE bands. Do you know if it's possible to unlock band 20 on the Chinese version?
Can the CMDA be used on verizon?
No. No Verizon or Sprint.
Must have t-mobile or at&t correct?
Yes, and any smaller carrier that depends on their bands.

Before buying an unlocked phone to use on a US GSM network, you need to research the 4G FDD radio bands used by the carrier and make sure the phone you want supports those FDD radio bands. (Verizon users, even when Verizon abandons CDMA in 2019, you won't be able to go out and buy any phone with the correct FDD bands and that supports VoLTE to use on their network. Verizon has made it clear that it will only provision phones that it has tested and certified.) Here's a link with US and Canadian carrier bands. https://www.signalbooster.com/pages/what-are-the-cellular-frequencies-of-cell-phone-carriers-in-usa-canada

Best I can do is recommend you search this page by the carrier in India that you use, it will tell you if you'll get 2G, 3G and LTE with the Honor View 10, TD-LTE BLN-AL10. https://www.frequencycheck.com/compatibility/QePYuJz/huawei-honor-6x-dual-sim-td-lte-bln-al10/india

Changing LTE bands

I purchased a Honor View 10 from Alibaba a couple months back with the international build (BKL-L09 8.0.0.131 C636) installed on it. I however live in Canada and the LTE bands installed in this version don't work in Canada. I just saw they finally released the View 10 a couple of days ago in the US and the band's will on the US version will have the LTE bands that will also work in Canada. My question is what is the US model of the View 10 and is it possible to unlock the other LTE bands?

I think you need rebrand your device to a US variant
I emailed Funky Huawei and they said rebranding will not change LTE bands. Unless of course they are wrong...
really? It's bad news for me. I have Chinese version view 10 already.

I was hoping it will be possible to switch bands with rebranding, I have US version and I'm in Europe
Rebranding will not change LTE bands!
A phone's bands are physical. Just take a look at one of jerryrigeverything's phone teardown videos and try to spot a long wire(s) going around the inside of the device.

Actually the LTE bands can be unlocked but not via rebranding but changing (or updating) the kernel. The bands are only locked to a specific region via software which is related to the kernel of the device. Rebranding only helps with receiving updates for a certain region but you gotta change the kernel.

I really don't know if it would be just something in kernel, but until EU version isn't on 8.1 we cant test or propperly compare kernel source.
We know Kirin 970 is capable for all frequency, because P20 is out only as one version for all markets,or at least for EU/US
Maybe with this way it is possible to rebrand from US to EU and get LTE bands

Did you solve the problem? I am in the same situation but with a P20 Lite
Actually.. You don't need the kernel
It's in the modem.. That's what dictates what bands your radio received.
It's that easy on Samsung.. It's that way here.
Wee used to flash different modems from different regions on the same model.
Trying to figure out a way for a universal flashing technique in these phones as most of them are the same with only the region lock and recovery check.
Since most of these phones contain the same modem, that's what needs to be done.
Trying to see if I can switch identifier in modems.. If I can fool the checks into thinking one modem is the same region for another
I have an Honor View 10 (global) that isn't working on the LTE bands in the US either. Is it possible to use the North American firmware and flash the global phone? Would that gain access to the LTE bands? Thanks.

I have a US Verson of V10 and not working LTE with some carries in Brazil... Works only on band 3, but here, the carries use 3, 7 and 28. Can you want to change your phone with me ? Rs [email protected]
So, did we figure out how to change bands on View 10 ?
I'm in Canada and using Rogers network. My device is bought from India BKL-L09
I have set the region to Canada
The LTE is working and showing
My problem is that the download speed is horrible (will never exceed 8 mbps).
I've switched my SIM in other devices and I'm getting up to 100mbps.
Any advice?

Frequency bands on Chinese Vs European OP8

Hi team,
It seems OnePlus is showing different frequencies on the 5G band for phones sold in China (IN2010) and Europe (IN2013).
IN2010: Bands 41, 78 & 79
IN2013: Bands 1, 3, 7, 28, 78.
Does anyone who if a Chinese phone originally intended for IN2010 bands are flashed the international ROM IN21BA, are the other bands accessible in Europe . Other bands being, 1,3,7,28 ect.
Or is there a hardware lock?
It's technically programmed into NVRAM, but the publicly found version of QPST doesn't support this device, so I don't know of a way to modify the bands.
1,3,7,28 and 20 are 4g LTE bands in France, so Europe. It's not 5g bands
These bands are presents on the IN2010 model too

Shame, when Europe starts using band 28 on 5G, the Chinese imported phone won't support this band then.
Also i recommend compare 4G and 5G Combinations between China and Europe variant:

Europe: https://cacombos.com/device?model=IN2013

In France B28 used for 4G LTE for now but i think they will transfer it to 5G like other countries. That will be low band 5G for many countries to build coverage.
