V10 vs View 10 LTE bands? - Honor View 10 Questions & Answers

I think the main difference between Chinese V10 and European/US View 10 is the LTE bands. Do you know if it's possible to unlock band 20 on the Chinese version?

Can the CMDA be used on verizon?

No. No Verizon or Sprint.

Must have t-mobile or at&t correct?

Yes, and any smaller carrier that depends on their bands.

Before buying an unlocked phone to use on a US GSM network, you need to research the 4G FDD radio bands used by the carrier and make sure the phone you want supports those FDD radio bands. (Verizon users, even when Verizon abandons CDMA in 2019, you won't be able to go out and buy any phone with the correct FDD bands and that supports VoLTE to use on their network. Verizon has made it clear that it will only provision phones that it has tested and certified.) Here's a link with US and Canadian carrier bands. https://www.signalbooster.com/pages/what-are-the-cellular-frequencies-of-cell-phone-carriers-in-usa-canada

Best I can do is recommend you search this page by the carrier in India that you use, it will tell you if you'll get 2G, 3G and LTE with the Honor View 10, TD-LTE BLN-AL10. https://www.frequencycheck.com/compatibility/QePYuJz/huawei-honor-6x-dual-sim-td-lte-bln-al10/india

With the exception of DirectTV network, you should be fine. Columbia uses bands 4, 7, 38 (DirectTV only) for LTE and the H830 supports 1,2,3,4,5,7,12,20, 29, and 30.

Thanks for the reply. I currently use Claro but could not find what bands they use. Is there a site that lists bands used by carriers in other countries? I googled and I only get area coverage maps but could not find anything on bands used...

There is a great wiki reference page which outlines bands by carrier and country: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks#Americas
Hope this helps

FRD-L04 - Which LTE Bands?

Hi all,
Looking at replacing my Nexus 5X with an Honor 8 from the US (FRD-L04). I split my time between the USA and Australia, and as such I need good band support in both countries.
In the USA, I use T-Mobile which looks as though it'll be fine.
In Australia, I use Telstra. They use the following frequencies:
LTE
Name Interface
B1 (2100) LTE
B3 (1800 +) LTE
B28 (700 APT) LTE
Supported LTE Protocols
Name Generation
LTE 4G
LTE-A 4G

As well as:

I am a bit confused, because in some places it indicates that the phone does not support the LTE bands in Australia. But according to the HiHonor website, it supports all but one of them.
Any guidance on this? Thanks.
I've posted there details within the forum before, but here you go.

Hmm, see here is the problem.
According to frequencycheck, L14 supports B1 and 3, but not 28 and L04 supports neither.
But yet according to Honor themselves and even BestBuy, the phone should support everything I need for both Telstra and T-Mobile (except Band 28 which is no big deal for me).
So, which is correct? I'm sure you can see my confusion.

Trust the manufacturer. Honor official site will have correct info
I can confirm FrequencyCheck is incorrect. I can also, however, say I wouldn't want a phone without band 28 in your situation. The lower frequency should have much better coverage.

Band 30 LTE (AT&T) and Band 71 LTE (T-Mobile) missing.

Oneplus 7 Pro's LTE bands are "B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,32,66".
Is it just a small problem?
edit :
AT&T : 2/4/5/12/17/29/66
T-Mobile : 2/4/5/12/46/48/66/71
Verizon Wireless : 2/4/5/13/46/48/66
Band 71 is present, but just contradicts with their other info where band 71 isn't present.
FDD LTE: B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,32,66
TDD-LTE: B34,38,39,40,41
TDS: B34,39
UMTS: B1,2,4,5,8,9,19
CDMA: BC0,BC1
GSM: B2,3,5,8
I checked https://www.cellmapper.net/ to check on the bands, but seems like it shouldnt be that big of an impact for me since it's not that many in my area. Or am I wrong ? I think it'll impact rural areas more with less towers.

T-Mobile will sell the OnePlus 7 Pro with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage for $0 down and $29.17 per month for 24 months on an Equipment Installment Plan. T-Mobile will also offer the OnePlus 7 Pro through JUMP! On Demand, with JOD pricing set at $0 down and $31 per month for an 18-month lease. T-Mo will sell the OnePlus 7 Pro in Nebula Blue and Mirror Grey.
As you’d expect from a brand new flagship phone on T-Mobile, the OnePlus 7 Pro supports all of T-Mo’s LTE network features. That includes 600MHz (LTE band 71) as well as 4×4 MIMO, 256 QAM, License Assisted Access (LAA), and carrier aggregation.

I don't want the T-Mo version, the unlocked one on their site has all of the bands including 66, and 71.
My main question I need answered before buying this phone is whether RCS will work on the unlocked one. Otherwise I'll wait and pay more for the Note 10
My Telco uses band 3 and 40. I purchased my op 7p from the US site, as per the site, the American op store version has band 3 but not 40. Do u guys know if this can be changed via software or is it the hardware?
The version in India has both band 3 and 40.

Frequency bands on Chinese Vs European OP8

Hi team,
It seems OnePlus is showing different frequencies on the 5G band for phones sold in China (IN2010) and Europe (IN2013).
IN2010: Bands 41, 78 & 79
IN2013: Bands 1, 3, 7, 28, 78.
Does anyone who if a Chinese phone originally intended for IN2010 bands are flashed the international ROM IN21BA, are the other bands accessible in Europe . Other bands being, 1,3,7,28 ect.
Or is there a hardware lock?
It's technically programmed into NVRAM, but the publicly found version of QPST doesn't support this device, so I don't know of a way to modify the bands.
1,3,7,28 and 20 are 4g LTE bands in France, so Europe. It's not 5g bands
These bands are presents on the IN2010 model too

Shame, when Europe starts using band 28 on 5G, the Chinese imported phone won't support this band then.
Also i recommend compare 4G and 5G Combinations between China and Europe variant:

In France B28 used for 4G LTE for now but i think they will transfer it to 5G like other countries. That will be low band 5G for many countries to build coverage.

Question US version works in India?

Thinking of importing the Pixel 7 Pro from the US to India since India doesn't have a 256GB or 512GB version.
Will I be able to use dual sim in India with VoLTE?
And will I get 5G to work in India?
Please help!

So VoLTE and 5G won't work and neither will dual sim?
Will installing the Indian ROM work?
According to youtube link, it may work but u need to buy unlock phone only and it should be bought with full payment with no emis
And regarding warranty only Google support would answer best.
5g update will be included in December with feature update
The model sold in India is GP4BC, and the one in the US is GE2AE. The main difference is the radio bands, but I believe it should work fine.
For example, the GP4BC model supports LTE band 32, but GE2AE does not. However, from what I see, LTE band 32 isn't used in India. In any case, carriers support multiple LTE bands, so you should be fine for LTE coverage with the US model GE2AE.
For 5G, GP4BC supports two additional sub-6 bands (75 & 76). From what I see online, these 5G sub-6 bands aren't used by any carriers in India as well, so 5G sub-6 should also work fine if you buy the US GE2AE model.
