[Q] Xiaomi Redmi Note - Can I unlock the WCDMA band frequency?

Hi, I bought a xiaomi redmi note from china and I didn't realise that I'd bought the chinese TD-SCDMA version, the UK network frequency works on WCDMA. The seller gave me a full refund but didnt take the phones back so I'm trying to see if this can work or else iI'm just going to sell them.
Now the network does work but can only got up to 2G.
I've heard that the MediTek hardware supports both TD-SCDMA and WCDMA however the WCDMA may have been locked.
Is there any way of unlocking it?
Hi, I am in the same boat too... please share if you find out.
Thanks
Neat Rom in Redmi note
Is it possible to use Neatrom in Redmi Note?
I have the same problem but with Lenovo A808t. This is not compatible with 3G & LTE bands in Spain but, I think, It has the same modem that Lenovo A806.
Can I open that bands?

Xiaomi MI4 usage in the USA. Which to buy. What works.

Good day!
I have looked to try and find some answers about the Xiaomi MI 4 device for usage here in the united states, but can't seem to get clearcut answers.
1.) Which carriers will the MI4 work with? I have heard Tmobile and At&T. IS this true? How about prepaid carriers? Are the specific plans that work?
2.) Which phone variants work here in the US? I have seen an international version, Regular, FDD-LTE, TDD LTE, overseas edition and I can't really piecxe together which is which since i don't see actual model numbers anywhere.
3.) I have read that 4g will not work on any carrier in the US. Is this true?
4.) Is there any reason to get the 4g variant at all if not traveling?
5.) If you have an MI 4 on a US carrier, was it difficult to setup?

I am currently in USA will be traveling to India and vice versa.Planned to buy xiaomi redmi note 3 pro international unlocked want to know whether the network will be supported for 3g/4g in India and USA.

can't receive sms

Hey there everyone!
I just got an unlocked Sprint OnePlus 7 pro 5g and everything works great. However, I can't receive sms messages. I can send but that's it.
I'm on Verizon prepaid lte and transitioning from a xiaomi mi mix 3. Everything works great on the mix 3 and all the lte bands check out for the op7pro.
Any help would be great!
Call and have CDMA-less provisioned on your account.

I had the same problem on Page Plus. You have to ask for level 2 tech support, as the call center techs don't know what CDMAless is.

Anyone know if hongkong variant of any samsung device compatible with Usa 4g and 5g

I pre-ordered a Us note 20 ultra a couple days ago and its coming in a couple of hours and im just now reading there is no oem unlocking option for who knows why. But anyway im gonna return it and preorder a hongkong variant of the note 20 ultra on wandamobile. Its snapdragon and allows the bootloader to be unlocked and i was just wondering if anyone from the Us used a hongkong device before and hows the 4g support? Also i dont know if im ever going to use 5g but does it support 5g bands in the Us? Please let me know because im about to go thru a lot of trouble just to get it haha
Hong Kong variant doesn't support 5G bands used in US.
I use this in usa with t-mobile and att sim. 4g works without issue

The AWS band 4 3G is missing on the Hong Kong variant but it’s present on the SM-N985F variant same with LTE band 66.
Would that matter too much ? I’m thinking if you’re using Ting maybe.
