can't receive sms - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey there everyone!
I just got an unlocked Sprint OnePlus 7 pro 5g and everything works great. However, I can't receive sms messages. I can send but that's it.
I'm on Verizon prepaid lte and transitioning from a xiaomi mi mix 3. Everything works great on the mix 3 and all the lte bands check out for the op7pro.
Any help would be great!

Call and have CDMA-less provisioned on your account.

I had the same problem on Page Plus. You have to ask for level 2 tech support, as the call center techs don't know what CDMAless is.

Mi Mix 2s on AT&T

Finally was able to get full LTE working on my Mi Mix 2s.
The problem is when that updated the IMEI on my account, the AT&T system didn't recognize the manufacturer and device so it only provisioned HSPA assuming it was a flip phone.
When they reverted to my Pixel IMEI but with the sim in my Mi Mix 2s full LTE came up after reboot.
A request was added to include the XIaomi on their list of acceptable devices, but was told that it could take 10 days or more.
So if you are switching from another nexgenphone don't update the IMEI until you can confirm that they recognize the device as an LTE capable device. Curious if I had the IMEI of a VoLTE device if that would also get provisioned.
Cheers,

Hey, are you on the Chinese miui or another rom? Does it show 4G for you or it actually says LTE? Can't get it beyond 4g

For you it shows Lte on the top? For me it shows 4g if I'm on Lte and 4g HD if I'm on Lte and VoLTE is enabled. On previous phones I had the option to decide if I want 4g or Lte shown on the top if I'm on Lte

Which phone does AT&T think you have? VoLTE is not provisioned for me so I don't see 4g HD. or VoLTE. From what I have experienced, the level of service provisioned is based on At&t recognizing the device from the IMEI.
Prior to my Mix 2s I had a Pixel, when I originally provided my 2S IMEI number to At&t the service fell from LTE to HSPA. took a few days with them on the phone and emails to rollback to the IMEI on the Pixel for LTE to be restored.
Don't know if they can custom provision service or if the options are driven by the IMEI selection off of some pre-defined menu.

Is Axon 10 pro Can be Used in USA

Any one Using Axon 10 pro in USA . When I check I see missing US bands on the phone so want to know that it will work or not
it supports enough bands for LTE with AT&T/T-mobile so it should work perfectly fine in the usa
Showing 10 out of 16 LTE bands for US, not bad.

I live in San Diego and on T-Mobile at it works fine.

My brother brought note 9 international version and he is having so much trouble getting calls, most of the calls goes to voicemail because range issues. When i check Band 66, 71 Lte bands are missing. Is that okay?

Lyca, they use Tmobile network
I'm using an EU model with a Fi sim, works fine.
I'm using the Chinese 8/256 version and it works fine in terms of calls and data but messaging is iffy. Looks like about a third of the SMS people send me is not getting through to me. It appears T-Mobile is using several bands for texting and one or two of those are not supported by this phone. I am now looking at switching carriers but still haven't figured out which one is using all the bands this phone has.
I have imported this phone from China as well. I have the 128GB version. I am on T-MOBILE and everything works fine. There are a couple of issues with the Chinese OS shutting down Google Assistant and the Google news feed, as well as, not being able to access backups on Google, but other than those minor issues, the phone works fine.
The ZTE website for the US shows the Axon 10 Pro has more bands than the kimovil states. I'll believe the manufacturer. Therefore, purchasing the US version of the phone should allow you to use it on many carriers. I've even heard that users on Verizon could use it if they have the phone provisioned for CDMA-less service. (Verizon does this with many other phones, like the Razer Phone 2)
If your planning on using it with a tmobile mvno, the US model has full tmobile band support both 66/71 bands, wifi calling and VoLTE

Haven't tried it yet. First thing I did was unlock the bootloader, rooted with magisk. When I checked the widevine drm, shows it as L3. Won't play Netflix in HD. Someone will have to check their widevine level before unlocking bootloader to verify.

USA att and tmo bands? will those be supported?

hi all,
will be another OP7 with modem that support all needed bands for USA att and tmo?
I know that PRO supports it, but I'm interesting in OP7 none PRO.
in a way I'd like to have 60hz display which isn't curved that OP7 has
however, without all needed bands it will be no go for me in USA
anyone know if there will be USA specific OP7? and when?
I just ordered a OnePlus 7 global from banggood. As far as I can tell it should support all the att bands fine. Does it not support the tmob? I'd be a little upset if that were the case but even the official OnePlus Twitter said the op7 will work on usa lte bands.

Sure. But as it is banggood shipping it's likely to be a few weeks.
I am using Oneplus 7(GM1900 china version) with T-Mobile. I am very happy with the phone. It supports almost all the bands except the newest ones (66 and 71). I am getting VoWifi and VoLTE on this phone. Wifi calling from T-mobile also works like a charm.
I think, it supports all ATT LTE bands. I tried H20 sim in it and I am getting LTE. I do not have a att sim to try it out. But H20 runs on ATT and I think ATT also will be working perfect.

OnePlus 8 US unlocked version NO wifi calling option/ no DUAL SIM SUPPORT yet

Just got 10.5.7 on my OnePlus 8. No DUAL SIM SUPPORT yet. Still no WiFi calling feature is showing up with VERIZON WIRELESS sim.
Any one has same issues?
All I know when I had my unlocked OP 8 Pro on T-Mobile wifi calling absolutely was there and worked. Sounds like Verizon isn't provisioning that with the SIM to me..

T-Mobile US

Anyone using the Poco F2 Pro on T-Mobile in the US?
I am. Reception is no different than my T-mobile OP 7pro. The F2pro also don't have tmobile 5g bands.
I tried to reply on Reddit to your question, but guess it didnt show due to low post count. I'm using a Xiaomi Mi 10 Global in the USA and I have VoLTE enabled over a Tmobile MVNO. Wifi calling does not really work properly, at least with the provided IMS settings. As stated above, 5G will NOT work in the USA due to Xiaomi missing necessary USA 5G bands; and 4G LTE may be a hit or miss depending on your area. As long as you're not getting the phone for 5G, it's an excellent purchase! It's not going to be necessary to have a 5G enabled phone for many years anyways, 4G is really fast enough. Hope this helps

Are you getting voLTE on T-Mobile? If so, did you have to use the dialer code to enable it?

Thanks for the info. I currently have a Mi 9 and have voLTE on T-Mobile and Fi (I did have to use the dialer code). I was just wondering if it's different for the F2 considering it lacks band 12 that the Mi 9 has. Looks like the Mi 10 global has the same bands as the F2, and you're getting voLTE, so I should be good. I also had a Mi A2 in the past, which had bands 2 and 4, which was fine, but voLTE wouldn't work, even with the dialer code. So calls defaulted to 3G, and I would constantly miss calls because it wouldn't ring. I just want to make 100% sure I can get voLTE with the F2 before buying.

Yes I'm getting voLTE and voWifi. I used the dialer code but the funny thing is to enable both I actually had to disable them. Even though after the code I get a prompt that the they're disable they are actually enabled.

No problem. I had Google Fi on my Pixel, then got the SIM to use for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Global and everything worked, but I just ended up going with another cheaper MVNO for Tmobile. The only complaint I have is generally I receive like 1-2 bars of reception in my house, when I go about 2 miles out it will jump up to 4+ bars. So when you receive your F2 Pro after setting up the APN settings, ensure in "preferred network type" it is 5G and not LTE! It will obviously not connect with 5G and default back to 4G LTE, but I had a random bug when setting it manually to 4G without voLTE, my phone calls would cut out at exactly 8minutes on the dot, NO Idea why that would happen, just giving you a warning lol. You don't need to use the dialer code by the way, you can set the "Use VoLTE" in the Mobile Network Settings and you will see a VoLTE button ontop. Have fun with your future F2, it's a great purchase .
