Mesh Case Review

Hey all,
I ordered 2 of these last week from Hong Kong for me and my girlfriend.
This case is very nice looking and has several colours available.
It feels very well built and feels nice when holding it in your hand also adds a little more grip.
However this case is simply for style and will not protect your phone, it would maybe protect it from very light drops but your phone will not be protected from very high drops.
On the back of the phone there is a very nice gold Galaxy S logo which also looks great.
So guys don't buy this if you look for protection, instead only for style like me lol

The green and the red ones are so sexy xD Too bad i'm too stingy to shell out for one, but i should have a cheaper case coming in the mail (taking it's time dammit...)

I had one of those gel cases before as thats what I used on my HD2 and it was great on that phone but I really struggled with the side buttons on the Galaxy

Are these cases hard or soft? And how well do they fit? Will the phone fall out if I flip it upside down and hold onto the case only? Is it tight enough to where the plastics don't rub against each other and scratch the phone? Also, it looks like it stays put by gripping down on the chrome edges, like most cases for the Galaxy S. Is it safe to use the chrome edges as a latch for the case? Because my chrome edges squeak and feel loose in certain spots and I think they are simply just glued on and not adhered to the phone strongly. Also, how much better of a grip does it give the phone? Because the phone is quit slippery/oily as it is without a case.

Totally agree that this Mess case in very nice... and slim fit(perfect fit), I have a black one i ordered from Korea Im very satisfied with the case= just what i was looking for, a case that protect my phone from scratches and its very stylish.

1. Case is medium hard
2. Perfect fit
3. Phone will not fall out and i think you can get the scratch from something else not the case.. its tight
4. Offcourse it "can" scratch the chrome edges if you take it off all the time, but the case isnt so hard (kind of medium hard "rubberish" material

Have to agree with this, tbh this is the best case I have had on any phones that I have owned.
Oh and btw it takes about 5-7 days for it to arrive from HK to the UK incase anyone wanted to know

It's exactly 7days now.. and it's not arrived yet. I ordered the white one and I'm patiently waiting. And I'm in Asia...

I ordered the same one in red, so I am thankful, that it seems to be very decent!
I didn't order it for protection though... or against scratches... I ordered it because I hate the plasticy feel of the normal backcover :/

yes there is,Otterbox Commuter for galaxy s.
got it some time ago,i'm very satisfied with it,it has a double protection layer (hard plastic+gel) and it still looks slim. i like it 'cause it gives a nice rugged look to the sgs. tried a lot of other cases,hard cases,silicone gel,TPU..this one brings the best from all worlds imo.

for me.. little more grip it's good.. because with more grip, the pure silicone for example, it's annoying whe to put into the pocket...

I had that for the LG G3. I really liked it.

I always use bumper cases because it does not press on the back cover when I put Qi receivers, and also allow heat to escape from the back.
Is there anyone in here who used this Nillkin bumper case? Please tell us how it is...
I can't find it yet available in US, but it's all over ebay and amazon but coming from china...

I've got one on my phone right now, the grey one to be exact.
its nor what i'd call excessively bulky, but some people might complain over that, the screen is protected with the regular bump on the front part, its quite grippy as the back side remains accessible, the feel of the case is amazing, cutouts are perfect, materials are good, uses bumpy tpu-ish gel-ish plastic on the back and front size for the shock apsorbing, sides are made from strong plastic aswell. Buttons are easily accessible, very easy to press, but doesnt press when putting the phone in the pockets, didnt scratch the phone sides (yet) and its easy to remove even tho its a quite tight fit case.
the little backside rubber part make the phone stable on a flat surface, makes it stick a bit from the ground so the camera is protected. If you drop your phone directly on the back part on a non flat ground your camera will prolly be shattered.
Its my everyday case, would for sure recommend it (got it for about 8$ from ebay)

Its very tight, it wont loosen as the side plastic holds it at place, its an unibody case tho, so the rubber wont separate from the plastic bit. But its quite good, disallows the specs of dust and sand to get in between the case and the metal bezels of the phone, overall i'm very satisfied with it on that area.

The grip is great, buttons work very well and it lets heat escape.
I own two spigen, uag and many cheap ones.
I prefer this one any day.
I bought the gray first. Loved it except the front part is gray.. I thought it was black like all the others with the colors on the back.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I bought the orange and I absolutely love it.
I like it so much. That I already bought the other two colors, red and blue.. ?

I think it was aliexpress, not sure.
It's probably the same thing from ebay.
Many vendors selling the same thing.. Just pick one with good reviews

About 8.27$ on ebay, got mine for the aprox same price

Anyone using this phone naked?

I really want to use the phone without a case and just a tgsp.. But I am unsure how scratch resistant it is. I am about to receive a replacement phone from Google as my first had issues. What do you guys use?

Definitely get a screen protector. Just having it in my pockets caused many small screen scratches over time.
As for the phone itself, the beveled metal edges around the screen scratch and dent VERY easily. A slight accidental bump can permanently mess it up pretty badly. The back metal of the phone seems to hold up very nicely, though.

i have no screen protector or case and I wouldnt have it any other way. That being said the edges are a thinner metal then a coke can so it will nick easily

This phone is too slippery to use without a case imo. I use a Spigen Thin Fit to help with grip and I'm happy.

Always wrap your thing!

Using a slickwraps skin. It's much easier to hold without a case because it's less heavy and thinner (due to how long the phone is)

I'm using my phone absolutely naked, have insurance in case something happens to it in lieu of a case.

I feel the same way however I'd like to keep this phone looking good.. I've gone with the Rhino bumper which is thin, discreet and you can still feel the back of the phone..plus the protection is supposed to be amazing.
The only problem I have now is that the case looks good too so I want to protect that now lol.
30 dollars with shipping, I'm in the UK and it came in under a week. A great case.

All I have on my phone is a dbrand skin. Unfortunately, I had an issue where it dropped a short distance (6 to 12 inches) and landed on a corner and it knicked up that corner near the screen pretty good, but not enough to convince me to buy a case yet... lol Haven't had any problems with any screen scratches or any other cosmetic damages yet.

Straight from the evo labs website. No restrictions. Here within a week. I did pay p&p but that's expected. About 4 quid I think.
One thing id like to say though, the rear clearance is not 100% the very centre of the back is slightly exposed, the bumper does not offer complete clearance when you push it against a flat surface.
If you don't know what I mean.
Take your phone and slide the back of it along the edge of a surface, say a mantelpiece or a shelf and whilst the start of the case is covered, towards the middle is not..
Not the end of the world but I'd have liked the clearance, ironically, tech 21 always offers this , something to consider.

Unfortunately, my N6P is my only camera at the moment. I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice the ding from a distance, but every time I run my finger along it, I cry a little inside.

I have a glass screen protector, a Dbrand black carbon fiber skin for the glass panel on the back, and carry the phone around in a FitBag pouch.

This phone is the first where i must have a case for traction, its soo slippery and i want to hold it casually and treat it like a normal phone. I bet if i had it in my pocket it will just defy gravity and just fly out, would get a skin but seeing how easy it was to bend the bezel with my finger nail, i dont want break it in the first year,

I've always rocked my phones naked. This time around I'm using a skin. Had a front back skin. Did drop it once too >_<. Thankfully it's just a small dent right above the camera visor. The skin on my phone is slippery so I ordered a more grippier one and took off the front skin because ambient display works better without it.

I have only a d brand frame for the camera.

I have glass screen protector and tried a clear thin case, but am back to no case..just the glass. No problems. I did add a little non-slip round piece to the back..it stays in my pocket just a little better, and totally stops it from sliding off a flat surface.
In and out of pocket all day, I am not real careful about keys or coins and no issues. I have done this with HTC M7,8,9 also with no problems. I hate hiding a good looking phone with an ugly case...and no case I have ever seen enhances the look.

Any one know of a transparant case that is compatible with slickwraps? Bought the galactic series but want some extra protection...

I'm thinking of buying one of these, but I'm afraid of the thickness.
I really like the shape of the phone and the feeling when I touch it.
I think with these case it's very thick.
Has somebody seen these case? I don't have a shop nearby, where I could see the case.

I have it and I like it. It is light but feels solid, the transparent front panel is very stylish and practical, in fact you can do almost everything with the case closed as it only makes the screen slightly darker and blurry.
I think it is a good compromise if you don't get a screen protector, which is what I did since the rounded borders are a pain in the ass with glass protectors.
However it does make the phone bulkier, it still fits in my pocket without problem but the thickness is for sure increased, it is now about 16 mm in total with the case on.

I usually doesn't like this kind of covers at all, but I just ordered this one to give it a try because of it's transparent front. Hope to get within this week.
As stated before, the design of the phone doesn't seem to be very good with normal screen protectors and silicone covers as I used om my Z5 Compact. And those still didn't protect it enough when I dropped it unfortunately, the speaker broke ? But it gave me a reason to by this little baby hehe

I've had the original cases at the Z5C and at the XZP.
It was ok, but everytime I took out the phone it felt so good and handy.

Update after over a month of use: don't think that because your phone is waterproof, so will the official case! After just a couple of strong rain sessions, the two layers of the transparent front flap are starting to separate, and the paper holding the case ID strip is flaking off. Nothing too ugly for the moment, but I'm not very hopeful that this case will last.

My case is also starting to fall apart. What a shame for such a pricey original accessory.

Currently I am using a roxfit transparent cover and a protective film on the front.

And after four months, it looks like utter garbage.
Such a shame, the idea was good but it is absolutely not worth the price.

I would 100% second this review. Having this case on my phone for each interation of new Samsung phone has been a must for the last 3 years. The best part about these cases is the fact i've only bought one case for each of my phones. They just last. I used to have 3 or 4 cases by the time i was on to the next model. Since, the Note wasn't updated last summer i kept my note 20 and the case is still good as new 18 months later (kickstand included).
Oh and for anyone wondering about screen protectors, I have had the whitestone dome on my phones as well with these cases and they fit perfectly.
I have the orange color combo seen in the last picture above on my note 20 and its still my favorite.

To start I have been using Armadillotek, now known as Caseborne for a couple years now on every phone I have had since I first tried their cases out. Being a person who is very clumsy and drops their phone quite a bit, this case has been a life saver. It is a heavy duty case without the bulkiness you get from an OtterBox. The case has allowed me to use any standard tempered glass screen protector that are compatible with cases as well. If you are looking for an amazing case that will protect your phone and last this is the case to go with. Some of my other favorite features of the case is definitely the kickstand when I'm sitting there and I want to watch YouTube or movies. And the fact it it also covers the charging port from any dust or moisture is a huge plus. Also you can't beat the price! To buy a case under $25 that has features like the kickstand and charging port cover all while giving you drop protection to protect your phone you spent well over $1000 on speaks for itself. You won't regret buying this case. I'm not big on leaving reviews but for this case I definitely have to speak the truth about how well it works.

Over all good phone case with few downsides. I’ve used this since the first day to now . And I must say my phone looks brand new under the case. I’ve dropped it on every hard surface you’ll see from day to day work. Day one I threw my phone into the stone tile at work for a co-worker with enough force to bounce the phone, again it looks brand new.

I've been very happy with mine. ArmadilloTek has been very consistent as far as the fit and finish. The buttons have a very tactile response, vs some other cases I've used that sacrificed the clicky feeling for protection. This case has managed to be very protective, while still having perfect access to the buttons. My phone feels indestructible in this. Two thumbs up!

I am glad you like it. Did you try the R series?

I've been using the V series for a few days now, and it's such a nice case. The kickstand is a little tough to get out sometimes, but once it wears in it's easier to work with. It def will protect the phone against drops and damage. I think between the R and the V, I am keeping the V on the phone.

The tank of cases. This beats other similar brands for durability and design. It even has a stand on it and screen protector. Throw this off a cliff, it will survive! Buttons are great, and have good feedback. Has a cover for the lighting port and wireless charging works fine through this case.

Where does it say it has a screen protector? Not seeing that..

Loving mine even though I don't do the kickstand, it is a durable and protective case for sure. Well worth the money! I like the black the best.

I have there Orange/grey case and I like it a lot, I tried the clear case with the rainbow frame but I found to slick to keep ahold of it, especially with wet hands and the car wash I work at you get wet hands often.
