Anyone using this phone naked? - Nexus 6P Accessories

I really want to use the phone without a case and just a tgsp.. But I am unsure how scratch resistant it is. I am about to receive a replacement phone from Google as my first had issues. What do you guys use?

Definitely get a screen protector. Just having it in my pockets caused many small screen scratches over time.
As for the phone itself, the beveled metal edges around the screen scratch and dent VERY easily. A slight accidental bump can permanently mess it up pretty badly. The back metal of the phone seems to hold up very nicely, though.

i have no screen protector or case and I wouldnt have it any other way. That being said the edges are a thinner metal then a coke can so it will nick easily

This phone is too slippery to use without a case imo. I use a Spigen Thin Fit to help with grip and I'm happy.

Always wrap your thing!

Using a slickwraps skin. It's much easier to hold without a case because it's less heavy and thinner (due to how long the phone is)

I'm using my phone absolutely naked, have insurance in case something happens to it in lieu of a case.

I feel the same way however I'd like to keep this phone looking good.. I've gone with the Rhino bumper which is thin, discreet and you can still feel the back of the phone..plus the protection is supposed to be amazing.
The only problem I have now is that the case looks good too so I want to protect that now lol.
30 dollars with shipping, I'm in the UK and it came in under a week. A great case.

All I have on my phone is a dbrand skin. Unfortunately, I had an issue where it dropped a short distance (6 to 12 inches) and landed on a corner and it knicked up that corner near the screen pretty good, but not enough to convince me to buy a case yet... lol Haven't had any problems with any screen scratches or any other cosmetic damages yet.

I'm in the UK too. Did you get any customs charges or anything? Was it straight from Rhino shields website? Cheers

Straight from the evo labs website. No restrictions. Here within a week. I did pay p&p but that's expected. About 4 quid I think.
One thing id like to say though, the rear clearance is not 100% the very centre of the back is slightly exposed, the bumper does not offer complete clearance when you push it against a flat surface.
If you don't know what I mean.
Take your phone and slide the back of it along the edge of a surface, say a mantelpiece or a shelf and whilst the start of the case is covered, towards the middle is not..
Not the end of the world but I'd have liked the clearance, ironically, tech 21 always offers this , something to consider.

Unfortunately, my N6P is my only camera at the moment. I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice the ding from a distance, but every time I run my finger along it, I cry a little inside.
Have a good one!

I have a glass screen protector, a Dbrand black carbon fiber skin for the glass panel on the back, and carry the phone around in a FitBag pouch.

This phone is the first where i must have a case for traction, its soo slippery and i want to hold it casually and treat it like a normal phone. I bet if i had it in my pocket it will just defy gravity and just fly out, would get a skin but seeing how easy it was to bend the bezel with my finger nail, i dont want break it in the first year,
I got one of these, the thinnest case i could find.i know it wont help in a fall but it will help against wear and tear

I've always rocked my phones naked. This time around I'm using a skin. Had a front back skin. Did drop it once too >_<. Thankfully it's just a small dent right above the camera visor. The skin on my phone is slippery so I ordered a more grippier one and took off the front skin because ambient display works better without it.

I have only a d brand frame for the camera.

I have glass screen protector and tried a clear thin case, but am back to no case..just the glass. No problems. I did add a little non-slip round piece to the back..it stays in my pocket just a little better, and totally stops it from sliding off a flat surface.
In and out of pocket all day, I am not real careful about keys or coins and no issues. I have done this with HTC M7,8,9 also with no problems. I hate hiding a good looking phone with an ugly case...and no case I have ever seen enhances the look.

Any one know of a transparant case that is compatible with slickwraps? Bought the galactic series but want some extra protection...
Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

I think it needs no protector. However,my wife bought an iPely screen protector from Amazon for me.I think it feels perfect. That's great.

Solution for battery cover?

I am absolutely loving my Fascinate (rooted, lag fixed, and de-Binged of course). Awesome upgrade from my Droid Eris! However, I have one major gripe with it so far, and that's the battery cover, or back plate, whatever you wanna call it. I am definitely not a fan of the glossy finish on it. If my fingers are the least bit wet or greasy, it makes it very hard to hold onto. The battery cover on my Eris had some kind of slightly rubberized matte finish, and I never, ever had trouble holding onto that phone.
So, I'm looking for a solution. Ideally, it would be in the form of a direct replacement for the OEM battery cover that is made of the grippy material like the Eris had, but I might settle for some kind of stick-on skin, if there's a good one that will eliminate the slipperiness. I've searched a bit, but haven't found any good solutions yet. Anyone suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, but please don't suggest cases of any kind. I have a good leather belt holster already that the phone fits in perfectly, and adding a wraparound case of any kind would be redundant, and also would prevent the phone from fitting in my current case.
Actually, I think I found a solution, thanks to a thread on the Android Central forums. Stealth Guards is apparently giving away all their screen protectors away for free for a limited time. You pay only the cost of shipping, which for me was $2.85, and the protector was originally $14.99. It's actually a full body protection skin, not just a basic screen protector. I'll probably just use the part for the back, and not mess with the front screen protector part at all. Here's the link:
http://www.stealthguards.com/index.php/cellphones/samsung-fascinate-full-body-protection.html
Note that they have free protector kits for most all the popular phones available right now, and if you like their Facebook page, you could win prizes (such as iTunes or Best Buy gift cards) on the way to 1000 likes, and after they top 1000, they'll hold a drawing to give away a new 6th-gen iPod Nano.

THANKS!!! Just ordered one for me and one for my girlfriend... I didn't want to add a case, but this will keep our phones looking fancy!
hey this looks really cool. can you let us know how this works out after you get it? i was just at the bar the other day (you know how when ur holdin a cold beer and ur hands get wet) i was like god this phone is slippery
I got full body invisible shield.
I removed the SP and got realook because i didn't like the rubber feel on the screen.
But i left the back piece on it makes the back feel allot better and gives it a kind of rubbery feel and reduces finger prints and also helps protect from scratches
It and makes the over all phone feel solid.
Thanks for the link. Picked up 2 of these for my phone.
Thanks for the link too, got one for me and two coworkers. Hell of a deal even if it's mostly crap. I just want it forthe back cover too. Way too slippery.
I'd like it if Seidio's innocase for this phone just protected the back/sides and left the front alone. I like the soft touch on those...
Even my HTC TP2 had a soft tough battery door stock.
Oh dang, I forgot to reply back to this. I got my Stealth Guard as expected (just an envelope in the mail, almost thought it was junk mail at first). Sadly, there NO instructions (except for a YouTube video on their website, which was a joke), but after digging up some info online, I washed and dried the battery cover, sprayed it with some slightly soapy water, and applied the skin. I rubbed out most of the bubbles fairly easily, and as others have said, after 2-3 days, all remaining bubbles and odd-looking film went away, and if not for the ridge at the edge of the skin, you wouldn't know it was on there. Oh, I did have a bit of trouble getting the corners to stick down to the curved corners of the battery cover, but I kept working on them, and they did eventually stick as the water started to dry up a little. So far there's no evidence of peeling or anything.
I do have to admit that it's not as grippy as I expected, but it is some better than the bare surface, and should prevent the back from getting scratched up, which I was starting to see evidence of, even with careful treatment of the device. I'm undecided if I'll ever apply the front piece or not at this point, but seeing how clearly the back piece applied, I wouldn't expect it to affect visibility at all.
I ordered another one of these for my brother-in-law's Droid Incredible, and would recommend them to anyone else as well, unless you want to try a different brand, in the hopes of getting an even grippier surface for the back side. But I think that for a mere $2.85, you really can't find a better deal anywhere.

Well, I ordered the Verizon / OEM, "kickstand" hard case in hopes of a good solution for the slippery back. Looks like this case only covers the back and sides of the phone and leaves the front untouched which is what I wanted as far as a case, and it looks quite thin too. Plus, it has a kickstand built in which I really wanted since my TP2 had a sliding/tilting screen. The back of this case is grooved with like a patchwork pattern so I'm sure it's a lot grippier.
Verizon wants $20 for them, but I got it for $10 including shipping on eBay! I'll post back how it is when I get it, but I think it's the best solution i've seen.
Have the kickstand case & it's pretty good. It also has 4 raised "feet" at the corners on the back which give it some speaker clearence when flat & act as friction points for your hand or loose pocket. The kickstand is a good alternative for a desk cradle & makes utilizing the alarm clock easier.

Bulky cases like that don't work for me. I use a belt holster case that I picked up from Best Buy, and any other protector case would make it bulky to put into the holster. That's why this stick-on protector was attractive to me, as it adds no unnecessary bulk. But that's just my preference. If you prefer a hard case, you'll get no argument from me.

Maybe with the white fascinate coming out at best buy I can buy the white back. Looks nice.
Ok, got the OEM/Verizon Kickstand case in and the $2 Stealth Guards films. The kickstand case is THE solution for the battery door IMHO, but I got both mainly for this reason. Mini review of each:
The Kickstand case, I got from eBay, for $11 shipped w/ tax (just search for "fascinate kickstand"), which is half off the in store price you'll find. It is THE solution to the slippery battery door IMHO, and the best case out there right now. The case has a slight rubberized / soft touch finish, and has a grip pattern in it, which makes it much easier to hold onto. It's quite thin, except for a bump caused by the kickstand, which is leveled so the phone lays flat, by some "feet" on the back. That slight bump I actually like, because I can easily tell which way the phone is oriented in my hand without looking at it. It provides nice protection to the sides and corners and back, so I think it will provide added drop protection. It fits very tight, I wouldn't expect it to come off ever. What I really like, is that it barely protrudes above the front of the phone at all, it adds a very slight lip at the sides, and that's it. This keeps the phone quite flat/thin still and doesn't change how you'd interact with the screen at all. The slight lip should help protect the screen though. All the cutouts are excellent in positioning, and provide nice "cover" for the side buttons against accidental actuation.
Probably the nicest thing of all which I didn't expect, is that the Kickstand works in both Portrait with the phone vertical, and horizontal in landscape, due to the way they positioned the kickstand on the back. It works great - this takes care of one of the things I missed from my Touch Pro2 (the tilting screen). It also has a tensioner, which allows you to tweak the angle in horizontal/landscape a bit because it's "stiff". For the $11 I paid for it, it's worth every penny and seems quite solid/well engineered for the price.
Only downside I see is that it's a bit tougher to take the battery out of course..
The Stealth Guards films are better than nothing, but not much grippier than stock. They come with just two films, front and back. Application and clarity is similar to other "invisible shield" type products. Not a very good screen protector (orange peel, tiny bubbles, not crystal clear), Steinheil is WAY better, but they don't have them yet for our phones so I'll use this in the mean time. Also, they cover the light/prox sensor at the top of the phone, which I found made the automatic backlight adjustment sorta freak out and switch more often than it should (probably because the protector is relatively thick and not crystal clear) - I cut a tiny window out around them with a razor blade and that fixed the issue. They shipped in an envelope, inside another envelope, I ordered 3 sets for myself and friends, and every one came with wrinkling/damage. Fortunately the films are very durable so the films themselves were unharmed - it was the paper backing that was wrinkled. Still, they could of reinforced the envelope with a little cardboard.... Also they come with no instructions or packing at all, just bulk/oem packed. Still, for $2 they were worth it, but not worth much more than that.

My $0.02 comparison of Skinomi and XtremeGuard

So, I've had my N4 since the beginning of December and since then I've gone back and forth between the two skins. I've been using the XtremeGuard skin for about a month now. Before that I was using the Skinomi full body protector, even the sides. Both were wet applications, but the Skinomi came with its own spray bottle and applicator tools. The XtremeGuard came came in an envelope and instructions only: Basically, put drop of dishwashing soap in a small bowl of water, then dunk the skin and apply on the phone. The end result was a great fit, but.... the skin ended up being too sticky for my own taste. The price was unbelievable cheap. I just couldn't get away from the stickyness and of course the extreme orange-peel effect. But, I had already purchased a second set as a "backup" just in case I needed a set. Like I said, it was very cheap, like almost $9, shipped.
Now, the Skinomi was much more pricier, but I'm sure it was worth it. Like I said, a spray bottle, squeege, and large black felt wipe with the Skinomi logo. The front and back application was a breeze, like most front and back screen protector applications. The little trick to get the skin to stay down over the edges, or curved corners for that matter is the same: to get the curved sides and corners to stick down you have to wait a few minutes for the skin that is going to touch the screen/phone to dry up a bit. It needs to become sticky in order to stay down. I wait another minute or two and keep trying to keep the edges down. Eventually the skin stays down on the curved edges. For the front skin, I lined up the top perfectly, and the bottom is a little over 1 mm from completely covering the front. The back is even a better fit, less than 1 mm missing from all four edges. Really great coverage. Now the sides, eh, it's a ***** to get the curved corners. The pieces are long to apply and keep slipping. Eventually I got the corners to stay down, but over time from using the phone the corners would start to come up and then collect lint. I think I've given up on protecting the sides and corners that I just ordered the stock bumper and will use that to protect the edges before they get more dinged. Now that it's been 24 hours, WOW! I am very impressed. I can barely feel that there is a skin on top. Yes, it feels a little stick, but I have to put emphasis on "little". It's nowhere near sticky as the Xtreme. And the finish! WOW! The only problem is my oily fingers. I guess that's what the skinomi wipe is for?
That just my 2 cents. oh, btw, the Skinomi was very very little orange-peel look, and it's almost like a mirror. The best skin I've ever used so far (Xtreme, Skinomi, and Zagg).
Had an extreme guard on my s3, didn't like it just like you mentioned, it felt "sticky".... But it is very durable. Also don't like the wet application.

I personally thought xtreme guard was garbage. There's a night and day quality difference between skinomi and xtreme guard. You really do get what you pay for here. You can even see it in the packaging.

I didn't know. Please forgive me. I didn't know. I was lured in by the cheap price, but I've seen the light!
Just ordered the skinomi one.. I also debated to order XtremeGuard but saw the reviews weren't so good.
I'm going to try and take a different approach and try to let the sides heal and for all the bubbling and haze to subside, then I will put my bumper on, hopefully that should eliminate the issue of the edges raising up?
I bought a Skintomi way back for my Galaxy Nexus just randomly because I was having so much trouble sorting out which brand was worth anything from all the conflicting reviews, and boy am I glad I did. It is still awesome. I liked it so much I ordered the full body model for my Nexus 4. I got a great deal from a guy on ebay, I think the front cover model was like 8 bucks and the full body Nexus 4 model was less than 17.
I have to agree with the stickiness of wet applied screen protectors.
I've only used xtremeguard for for my N4 cuz I didn't really see a need to buy another/ different screen protector afterwards, so can't say anything about the others. For the first couple of days after application (like a week or so), it was almost impossible to push your thumb across the screen (dragging thumb across the screen fared a little better). After a while however it became significantly easier to use the touchscreen because the oil on my finger started to make the screen more slippery, but no where near the slipperiness of a dry install. I can easily swipe on the default keyboard but it could be better.
Right now I'm contemplating whether to spray some dust repellent on the screen protector; playing air hockey on the kitchen table is a breeze after spraying some.
Just my $0.02
N4 skinomi are hit and miss. The sides do not stick very well and lift up easy. The solutions tends to leave large bubble markings between the screen and the skin. After a month, the skin has lots of scar indentations, like worms or ants traveling in sand leaving trails. Much like those you create when pressing down too hard when applying the skin with the squeegee. Any cover or case that touches the top will lift push or cause the skin to bubble.
I've use skinomi on several devices, first one that's not "good". Same results on 3 replacements. Gonna try another brand.
I've used xtremeguard on other devices and they've worked well too. Loved it on my s3 . After some cure time it's not as sticky as when applied. But black specs in envelope and lately the material of the skin has changed. So it's quality has been randomly lacking.

Anti static spray? Wonder how that will affect the touch screen.
Do people really care this much about screen protector brands? I bought one generic one from eBay and it does all I want it to: keep my screen clean.

No, brand should not matter, but quality does. There is a list of personal requirements that I have and Skinomi (so far) meets those requirements, whereas others do not. That's not to say a cheaper cost product is better or as good. I have yet to try Zagg for my N4, but I have used the Zagg HD in the past. I want to try out BSE see how well that works.

Yeah of course we do. Different brands make a huge difference. Spend the 8 bucks on a Skintomi from ebay and try it for a few weeks and you'll see what we mean.
I ordered some skins from xtreme guard, the lower prices got me too, shipping to canada was around $3 which is awesome . Still waiting to get them so I have no reviews yet. Used BSE before, I think they are great, but getting so expensive. now buying for a 3rd phone (waiting for 2nd rma).

If I decide on not wearing a case...

So as everyone else in this forum, we all like the design and feel of the new HTC... Im an adict for feeling the metal in my hands and keeping the device as sleek as possible...
I have the silver grey edition, was wondering how sensitive is the phone to scratches if i decide on not wearing a case...
each time I put the phone nakud on a table of some sort, I hear that terrible metal sound scratching the surface of the table...
Am I just having a bad OCD or in the long run i will start seeing some heavy blemishes on the phone's body ?

It's aluminum - a pretty soft metal; there probably will be scratches after a time, its just inevitable. But the finish is pretty strong. I've had mine for about 2 weeks and only have one barely noticeable scratch and I'm pretty rough on phones. I'd recommend one eventually. Maybe get a skin if you don't want to add to the bulk.

I had the M7 for a year, and never put a screen protector or body case/skin on it. I used the Seidio Spring Clip Holster for it, and there is just one, barely perceptible, dent in the back. You have to hold it JUST right in low light to even see it. No scratches, and I've even dropped it on the sidewalk (which left a teeny-tiny nick in the beveled edge, again you have to bee looking really hard to see it.)
I have the Spring Clip Holster on order for my just received M8, I plan on running it caseless/skinless as well. I have the dark grey version, and I just can't bear to cover this pretty thing up.
Admittedly, I'm not hard on devices. Were I to take it out in rough conditions (say, camping/hunting/shooting/hiking), I'd probably use a leather belt clip case. As it is, I work in an office. My husband used the Seidio Surface case and holster on his M7, and I have the Seidio Dilex case on the way for his new M8.
If you're a pocket carrier, though, I'd think long and hard about what you tend to keep in the pocket with it. Keys, loose change, pocket knife - no-go. Skin it, or change the way you carry it.
edit: Ok, this thing looks pretty damn tough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fzr7ULAiEk and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhwvXTVQoPM

I noticed from videos that the gun metal version is more vaunrable the scratches and small cracks if the device hits the groud.. im guessing its due to the color of the handset...

Mine is gunmetal, and will be caseless carried in a holster. My husband's is silver, and will be cased in a holster. If I do end up scratching it, I'll probably get a skin for it, like this one: http://www.slickwraps.com/HTC-One-M8-Brushed-Onyx-p/sw-one8-onyx.htm
Like all materials, it will scratch if brushed against something harder than it is. Aluminium is not the strongest of metals and is more easily scratched. Mine has some small scratches on the edges where my car mount holds it. I've since added some felt to the mount to prevent any more marks. In the grand scheme of things they're nothing and I'm sure it will get more as I use it. I feel the phone looks worse with a case of some sort stuck on it than it would with a few superficial scratches. I did get a case for when I know I'll be using it in a more active environment but most of the time I go without a case.

I love my Slim Armor. It is slim and keeps the design aesthetics of the phone. My grip on the phone is better. A picture is below for those that haven't seen the cases. And they come in different colors that mirror the phone if you want.
I only went a few days without a case and dicked up my gun metal gray phone on two corners with a small drop onto concrete. My case arrived the next day. It still pisses me off.

She loves the phone but she said the case makes the phone taller. I don't want her to drop the phone because all it takes is one drop. I was thinking of putting a temper glass protector.
I have a fairly large scratch on the rear aluminum on my HTC One M8. I believe it got scratched from my retractable badge lanyard clip as I attach it on to my left pocket where my phone resides. It probably rubbed against the clip, introducing the scratch :/
FWIW, This is my first aluminum unibody phone. All of my past phones (EVO, EVO-3D, SGS3, SGS4) never had a single scratch and never had any protection (cases or screenguards) and still look mint. All of them were plastic however.

surprisingly I went and bought the cheap orignal HTC case that comes with some of the HTC's retailers, its pretty good... i mean its not like otterbox protection or spigen... but it keeps the case very slim and gives u a very good grip in the hand.

I always dress my phone with good cases. Same as you, I don't want seeing my phone having scratches, dents and blemishes in the future.
case-mate barely there case is great for minimal, the aluminum was too slipery for myself.
This has a nice matte finish to it and add practically no bulk, won't do a whole lot in terms of protection against large drops/bumps, but for small scratches to the back and sides this is great.
I didn't want to put my M8 in a case, but that thing felt like a wet bar of soap in my hand. So I went with this case so I could still see that beautiful brushed aluminum.

Always use hard case. It'll prevent your phone from scratches and all. For sweaty hands. And in case it fell, you have an extra protection. That's why I keep my phone with case all the time.

Query about scratches on the glass back of the U11.

Anyone been using this phone "naked" ie. no case? How has the back of the phone held up? Is it scratch prone? And I mean in a hoodie or pants pocket not letting it slide across the floor or be in a pocket with coin/keys.
Any opinions? News?

I do. Naked for the last month (on Sapphire Blue that I am selling now because I got Solar Red). No scratches at all.. But it is always in pocket alone (no coins/keys) and pretty careful about where I place it.
Gorilla Glass 5 is pretty scratch resistant, but I'd suggest to prepare your heart for some unexpected scratches even if you take good care of your device if you plan to use it naked. Micro scratches are somewhat inevitable from day to day usage.. its not the big item (keys, coins) that cause scratches, its the tiny ones (sand) and hard particles. IMO, the best bet for a naked phone to remain scratch free is to use it with a dedicated pouch.
I will be going naked soon once my skinomi full skin arrives
I received a review unit last month, and it's definitely can be scratched. By judging the scratches, I can tell it's because of the camera bump, so that on the back, there's a tiny area touches the surface (on a desk or some furnitures). Make sure the surface is clean, otherwise some dust/sand will scratch it pretty hard.
My own unit I always put a case on.

Oh. I'm sure can be scratched. It's been naked for the last 3 days since every case seems to take the red shine away and make it appear pinkish. I've been investigating clear skins but I'm not sure it won't have the same effect AND be stuck to it and hard to remove. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks! :good:

Agreed, any case will make it looks much less impressive.
Good luck for hunting the protection! If you find a good one let us know!
Thanks

Got the Seidio Optik today in the mail and it screws with the colors/coating and again makes it look like its painted with Pepto Bismol. I was thinking about trying the Ultra Clear Phantom skin but I'm seriously apprehensive about it doing the same thing and it would be stuck to the phone. It would be a one shot maybe. I guess I'll just keep looking. :/

Did you take a look at the ultra clear case from Spigen?
You must like it, I don't have it but there are hydrofilms for the back.

Yes. It was the first case I bought. It's not bad but dulls the color effect in the same way.

This looks promising. Thanks!
Received my Skinomi skin yesterday. It takes time to apply and need patience. Bubbles disappeared overnight (i installed late evening). It doesn't hide the shine of Solar red at all plus the skin on sides make the phone non-slippery. But with greasy fingers, you will be constantly wiping the skin with a cloth or your shirt I will give it 4 out of 5.

Excellent. The folks at Phantom Skins said the same thing about their Ultra Clear skin. So now we have 2 choices.
I just want something to prevent scratching. I'm not in the habit of dropping my phones so the uber protection from a case isn't foremost on my mind. I just don't want to scratch the shiny surface.
Thanks!
Can a sleeve like this one https://smile.amazon.com/fitBAG-tai...qid=1500675015&sr=8-10&keywords=HTC+U11+pouch be enough to prevent scratches? What do you guys think? Should I use a full body coverage instead? And what's this hydrogel films, is it some kind of poly-carbonate? I'm saving right now to get the U11, and this is one of my main concerns after using metal phones for years

I think the sleeve would work fine. I'm probably going with the ultra clear skin as I'm really only worried about scratches. I've had a lot of phones and not one have I caused the screen to crack on. This could be a first but I'm going to try to keep up my streak.
I got the Lightning Knight clear case today in the mail. It's the best of the 4. It doesn't totally make the red into pink and there is still some red to gold in sunlight. It's a TPU case so the same drill.
I'm satisfied with this for now. I'll probably end up with a skin sooner than later but this will do for now .. for $7. Why not.

My thoughts on Dbrand Grip Case

I am not a big fan of phone cases and never actually used one on my Pixel devices but this frosted glass on Pixel 4 is soo slippery so I decided to go with a dbrand case because of case customization. I can tell that the case really is super grippy and my phone doesn´t slide out of my pocket like before.
Only problem for me is the main selling point of this case, skins. Installation is super easy and you really can´t mess it up like regular skins but after a day of using it with a skin I noticed that dust collects like crazy around the edges of the skin and it doesn´t look really nice. Now I am using it without a skin and there is no dust at all on the back or edges. It´s still a nice solid case with a lot of protection and I´ll keep using it for sure but without skin. Did anyone else noticed this?
I have a skin on mine and no dust gets stuck on the back. The front however, quite a bit of dust accumulates. I'd say that's the only downside of the case though. The level of grip on the case has ruined all other cases for me.

So how do I get so much dust on the back? I ordered limited teardown skin. Maybe the fit is not 100% so dust can come in.

Yeah the only thing I can think of is the fit. I used to have the teardown and now I have robot camo. Both have been dust free for me.

I'll just order another skin and see how it fits. Kinda like it without skin. It looks sleek.
I've been wanting to get the grip case for my Pixel 4 XL but need to know one thing if you can tell me. does wireless charging still work with the case, if not that's a deal breaker for me since I charge my phone at night

Yeah it still works
I am also a big fan of the grip case. I have the swarm skin installed, and it just looks and feels awesome. I have a few cases lying around, which are just obsolete at this point. No problem charging wirelessly, but then again i never had any problem with any case regarding qi charging.
I ordered the case and a carbon fiber skin for my Pixel 4 XL. I just hope the skin is easy to install with no bubbles. I don't wanna mess it up and have it wasted.
Just to update everyone. Got the new case and skin yesterday and everything looks good now,no dust at the edges. I don't know what was wrong with the first skin and dust collecting,it's weird.
Does the squeeze feature still able work with the case? I'm thinking to buy it and honestly this is a big selling point for me?
Thanks.

Yes it still works
One of the best cases for pixel. Nice grip & protection, very very tactile buttons. Love it.
Agree
I've bought it almost two months ago and honestly I'm really disappointed. The case itself is good looking and the feeling is good however it literally unglued itself around the edges from the whole bottom part of the case.
I haven't dropped it or abused it in anyway (just cleaned it with soapy water twice) and now literry it not usable since it all over my hands when I hold it. I can't glue it back since the rubber part is a little too big and just can't hold it perfectly enough so that the glue sticks.

I also bought the prism screen protector and the experience is even worse. Because of the sensors the pixel 4 has it is literally cut off from the top and aligning it correctly is a nightmare(because there is nothing to actually have a reference point to). Even if you manage to apply it, the sides won't stick perfectly to the glass of the phone and you have awful edges (the gestures are hell to execute and in time painfull for fingers). On top of the the protector is pretty thick (which is good and bad).

It seems that's a know issue and acknowledged by them: https://www.reddit.com/r/dbrand/comments/irmpup/the_truth_about_the_dbrand_grip/

Where in the world do you find more skins for this case? I ordered regular skins and they're to big. Can't find skins for case without ordering the case with it.
