I... Can't... Even....

Rumors are claiming no Plus version this year, unless they're released at a later date.

Judging by the s7 edges size and specs can't imagine why they'd bother making a plus. A new note will probably be the next release
Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there wont be a s7 edge plus. Unless they make it with a 6" which is highly unlikely.
Seems by making a 5.5" screen, they are attracting users from both s6 edge plus and the s6 edge.

I disagree.
Samsung official said in an interview just one day ago that they want to shorten the cycle of their flag-ship releases to twice a year.
Either this means that they will bring the + versions in 6 months, or they will start offering Note series as another flagship to a larger audience (of Galaxy S series buyers).
It's so easy to just interim update existing models. It's the cheapest option for manufacturers and requires very little expensive re-tooling changes.
Also, it's a way for them to keep the prices and margins high throughout the whole sales year.
So yes, I think there'll probably be + versions towards late summer, early fall.
As to what the changes/differences will be, I don't know, but I doubt it'll be anything that big.

Eagerly waiting to replace my htc one with note 3
Though htc one was a good phone I still find samsung phones better in terms of usability

What do you think the price will be?
I am interested in this phone but only at a price of around 35k. Unfortunately I am guessing the opening price will be more like 45k and it will take at least six months to fall to 35.

This is all rumors every Google search about the "Note 3 Price In India" info i got from the web. So take this post with a grain of salt.
Well it's gonna be over 45k not less than 60k at official launch because of high end specs,32\64GB Variants.
When will we see the official update well rumor has it that there might be an Note 3 launch event taking place in New Delhi on 17th September
after that we might see the exact pricing and pre-ordering. For more check this out -->http://www.igyaan.in/58585/exclusive...7th-september/
If your thinking about getting the Note 3 under 45 think be sure to read this: http://www.ibtimes.com/samsung-gala...y-8mp-camera-variant-release-emerging-markets
According to them "Samsung would release LCD and AMLOED display variants of the Galaxy Note 3 in order to avoid supply shortages of its AMLOED displays the ET News article indicates that this LCD/8-megapixel camera variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would likely account for 30 percent of the device’s initial production volume. There's no word on exactly which countries would receive this variant, but China, India and Brazil all qualify as emerging markets. Perhaps we may see Samsung orchestrate this component breakdown similarly to how it does with its processor variants, in which case more Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries would receive the LCD display and 8-megapixel camera variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. And European and North American countries would receive a variant with a different type of display, likely an AMLOED screen of some sort and a 13-megapixel camera."
So i guess the Note 3 16GB mini variant with 8 MP and LCD will be priced under 50k which of course is meant to target the Indian market. I mean come on do you think people in India would shell out 50 k for a phone excluding the super rich.
Again these are all rumored so don't be disappointed just yet.
Most likely by marketing strategy price would be somewhere between 45k to 50k
Galaxy s4 is already trading at 36 37k so the price at the most will be 50k and with the rupee easing now they should comprehensively price it at around 50k
IPhone 5s an epic fail.same as iPhone 5 with a finger print scanner which the whole world can get access to.
Hardly an app to make use of 64 bit architecture
But what does note 3 has to do with iFail

I have already putted in Note 2 Forum that Box MRP is 54999 in India. No more details given by insider. Hopefully the darkness will get away at launch event on 17th.
iFail will never be able to make #Notefail.
I am impressed with note 3 after being a note 1 user for like 8 months... so yeah Note 3 for me on Diwali, which will complement my s4, and iPhone too
Lauch date is 17th and availability date is 25th?:what:
I think, it will be launched in price range near 42k - 43k. As all samsungs phones are launched at this price.

Rumors of the price such high(45k above) are utter crap...
The device will carry an MRP of rs 42500 or 43200 and nothing else after a week or so...
All the blog posts are stating that price because they think the minimum storage of the device is 32gb(high price)... That's crap... They don't realize that 32gb is becoming a norm.
Plus, the price of dollar doesn't even have a say in the price of the device. Dollar is not responsible for the imports from an Asian country. :silly:
Its not the Indian rupee that has fallen against dollar, its the whole Asian currency that's falling.
after using n7000 and flashing many roms, i am hell sure that i am gonna buy N3.
damn look at those spec. heavenly.
if the battery gave me 4-6 hrs of onscreen time, then it is enough for me.

:fingers-crossed:
i agree..it will probably be priced in the 42-45K range.
very impressive device, and was on my wishlist as soon as i heard about it...however, one of the major selling points for me...the fact that it could shoot 4K...is not going to be on the model released in india (4K is a feature of the snapdragon chip which is not being offered here). So it'll be just a speed and screen size upgrade over the note1 which i own currently...so i'll wait for 6 months rather than jump in immediately

otherwise waiting for 6 -7 months is the only appropriate thing we could do. and also the plus point is that the prices will be reduced too

I think new octa would be better than snapdragon.
with 2.5x gpu and 20-30% increase in cpu power from the previous version.

I think that it will be minimum 45k..this it because there was an increase of 5k from note 1 to note 2..and note 2 was available for 40k when it came out

I don't think that will be the case... Samsung is not gonna increase 5k on every iteration of the note series.
increasing 5k on every new device means we will be buying it in 1L some day. That's not gonna happen
S3 was also inflated in price according to S2, but S4 was launched with the same price as S3.
Same will be the case with Note 2 to Note 3 :good:
Tip: Don't buy the device in the first week of launch.

haha...Samsung S6 is losing steam. Unlocked for 430$

Looks like nobody is buying Samsung S6. In the face of pressure from MXPE for sure:

I almost bought the note 5 international version for 589 on eBay the other day. Figured I'd stick with my pure order though but those flagship prices dropping rapidly is great news for consumers.
Big reason I such with the pure is the sd card and non glass black.

Yeah, very much the same reasons except may be I need to add, unlocked bootloader...custom leather back..front speakers...works on all 4 carriers...and may be, just may be, NO BLOAT!...
Or maybe it has nothing to do with the Pure. Maybe it's because more people like and prefer the S6 Edge rather than the regular S6, and they're trying to offload the less popular of the two by putting it on sale.
Just a thought.

Yeah, that's a possibility. But I think Edge is going down too.... MXPE is bringing the house down....
Sales for the S6 have been way down.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/05/20/samsung-galaxy-s6-bad-sales/
I dont think it has to do something with the Pure... I can see huge pricedrops on all Early/Mid 2015 Flashship Phones. Galaxy S6 is down to ~399€ including a cashback that samsung offers here. HTC One is at 450€ - All the 32GB version... So the MOto X is not really a "mid-highend phone with a great price" here in germany. I paied 509€ with Moto Maker. Even the S6 Edge is cheaper
I had the Edge...got tired of the feel of the phone in hand. Curved screen is a gimmick for sure. Had I went with the standard screen to begin with I may not have made the jump to the Pure. Glad I had the Edge because I made the jump and the Pure is by far my favorite phone up to this point. But the S6 is now almost 6 months old! In dog years that's like "ancient" LOL! So I think the price drop is more a result of age than anything else. I also think that's a major reason why nearly all manufacturers are making these things less end user serviceable. They figure with new phones coming out every 6 months who's ever going to need to replace a battery? So they just need to make room for the newest phones now.

Actually, age did not matter earlier. For example, I couldn't find unlocked m8 even after 1 year of its release below 500$. Same thing with S5. S6 price drop has been unusual in my tracking of device prices over the years (since 2008).
I have 200GB of storage on my MXPE.
I can have every app, every game, and whole lot of books, music, and movies, with plenty of room for backups and never have to store stuff in the cloud.
Plus I can OTG another 128GB if I feel crazy.

I get that you love your phone but this is just silly... The S6 price drop has nothing to do with the MPX, in fact the MPX will more then likely not even outsell the S6 though its sales arent as good as previous years, samsung kind of canabalized the S6 sales by releasing the edge at the same time as the S6, also they're about to do the same with the edge after releasing the edge+, but theres also another phone coming out that will outsell every phone out there, you might have heard of it, its called a new iPhone...by your logic the MPX should drop in price too actually all phones should drop in price, since the iPhone will kill everyone elses sales LOL...

Yes, it likely has everything to do with iPhone release.
But in the Android market, MXPE sells for 400$ and is a great phone. Why would anybody spend 600+ if they are looking for an Android phone? I never said MXPE has or will outsell S6. All I said was that S6 may be seeing pressure from MXPE in the Android market. If you don't want the Apple ecosystem, you have every reason to land on MXPE instead of S6. MXPE is just so much a better phone for less. Samsung knows it.

I'd agree with you the MXP is a better phone now but here's the thing that price reduction is from a ebay store, its not a corporate samsung store, u walk into one they'll still charge you the 600+ retail...so while samsung says this is the retail, individuals can choose to sell the device for as high or as low as they want...so my point is i guess this reduction really has nothing to do with Samsung feeling pressure from Moto and more that the individual seller just wanted to get rid of his own S6 stock.
Probably has more to do with this... BTW on that sale there is no warranty from manufacturer...

You don't say? There will be a S7 in the Spring?
Seriously the phone markets are in flux right now. First, upgrades are pretty minimal. Second, subsidies are non existent for man. As such, people are starting to think twice about buying $800 devices, especially when many of their bucket wish list items are getting removed.
So it is no surprise that people are starting to not upgrade for big bucks and hold off or looking maybe to spend 40% less and still enjoy an upgrade.

Persuade me to get the s6 + which model

Hey there,
I am looking at the xperia Z5 aswel as the s6, I am able to get both for roughly the same price. I am torn between the two and I feel I need you guys to persuade me to sway towards the s6 asmote and more reading on the z5 has made me want to get it instead of the s6. I also need help on which model I should get, these are the only ones available to me for the same price. An S6 32 GB in topaz blue, sapphire gold, an edge version in 32gb black sapphire or a 64gb normal s6 in black sapphire. Thank you.
Forgot to mention that I've twice tried to purchase the s6 edge and both times experienced serious problems/issues, I am currently in the process of receiving a refund from my latest s6 edge purchase. It seems like god doesn't want me to get an s6 lol.
at this point i would recommend you waiting for the upcoming s7...it should be release within 1 or 2 months and will be superior to everything avaiable right now

I would but money is an issue for me. I have a good used phone supplier so that's why I have those choices, an s7 would be more than double of what I can afford to pay.

Who is getting one?

Not much hype around here yet but I'm getting excited. I've been strictly OnePlus 8 pro for the last 2 months or so and am ready to move on. I hope this is a worthwhile upgrade fror my Note 10 Plus or I'll hold out for the fold 2 this year. The next pixel is a no go with the slower processor and I'm sure they haven't improved storage capacity either. Such a shame.
As long as they offer solid trade in value for my Note 10+ I'm getting it.
I am expecting (hoping) for at least $600 in trade for my S20 Ultra. Assuming that happens, I will be buying a new Note 20 Ultra - Pre-Order and can't wait.
In all honesty, the bugs that the S20 Ultra Camera had (focus) are pretty much behind me now and the the S20 Ultra has been an awesome phone - but based on what I hear and have read, the new Note 20 Ultra will be a decent upgrade. Looking forward to seeing the Roll Out -
Nah, I'm getting Pixel 4a this time around to be my daily runner and I'll keep my N10+ for heavier tasks until the Note gets integrated 5G system so, probably 'til 2021/22.
Right now 5G is still not much relevant in my area, why pay more for unneeded hardware? I'm very happy now with Note 10+, after that annoying hit-or-miss fp sensor problem got resolved. Ironically, that problem wasn't fixed by Samsung but rather by inquisitive user – kudos to him/her.
Actually am getting very excited about that Pixel 4a, it has all the goodies I need and for only $350, like NFC, headphones jack and also Titan M Security Module, good camera/processing etc. A good pocket phone, something I really miss since I've had S10e before N10+. Similar overall size to 10e, plastic is fine with me for a pocket phone.
As long as I keep it in front, not the back pocket)

I've heard about the Duo getting the 855 too (MAYBE the "+"?) either way, IMO MOST people would be really hard pressed to be able to tell a difference between the 2, if they aren't sitting in a side by side comparison. I think the biggest difference that will absolutely be noticeable, is the 120hz display on the N20U. I'm really looking forward to seeing that.
I think the Duo is an amazing concept that gets away from the form factor that is not really changing too much any longer. It's a refreshing change in direction and isn't a Galaxy Fold
Edit - Some rumors are saying that the device may ship with the 865
I'm getting one. But what about all these half/value tradein offers? Are any of those worth it rather than buying up front? I got burned by diminishing value on Samsung products years ago but they seem to hold value pretty well now.
I was really hoping the Note Ultra would fix what the S20 Ultra couldn't, being able to use WQHD+ with 120hz. Thats really a let down and kinda makes me want to skip this year.
Just pre-ordered Unlocked White 128GB Ultra
I was on a Note 9 and am a Veteran. I just preordered the Copper rather than the glossy Black. Samsung offered a $550 trade in on the Note 9 plus $200 in freebie accessories . I'll get the new buds and a case. It was too good for me to pass up. I just hope it isn't a dud like the Note 7.

You arent actually buying anything, you dont enter any credit card info. This simply adds you to an email chain for tomorrows pre-order.
I put my preorder in for the White 128 but I may be hard pressed to make it my DD. I LOVE face unlock on my Pixel 4 XL and all the other Googly things that come with the Pixel phone. My Note 10+ got very little time with the SIM card in it after I bought the Pixel last fall. I do like the larger canvas of the Note, maybe the latest rumors are true and Google might release a large screen premium phone later in the year?

Question [INDIA] Galaxy S22 Ultra news + discussion thread.

Looks like India might be getting the Snapdragon this year. How many of you are going to upgrade? I've already sold my S21 Ultra in anticipation for the S22 Ultra.
For me, it's too early to decide based on rumours and conjecture alone. Will wait for a month after the device is out in people's hands before making the decision. I stayed back on A11 on my S21U so phone performance is still very good. Thankfully, i downgraded from A12 before the bootloader update so I was able to roll back. If A12 performance on S22U is similar to the S21U, I would stay clear of it.
As far as chipset is concerned, I don't really have an issue with the E2100. Unlike previous Exynos SoCs, I quite liked the E2100. It's very comparable to the SD888 performance, really closing the gap this year. In some aspects I actually prefer the E2100, especially is thermal performance and stand-by battery drain, when compared to the SD counterpart.
The S22U isn't offering anything more than an inbuilt stylus and a generational chipset upgrade. Not sure if the increase in performance will justify the extra cost of upgrading.
The phone has got to be something really special and miles ahead of the S21U for me to spend another 60-70k (assuming S21U exchange discount, bank offers etc). If I was upgrading from S20U to S22U, I could justify it, but from the S21U, only time will tell if it's worth the money.
Yes this is pain as no one yet know what version release in India
According to some reports southeast countries will get SD so according to this we may get Exynos
I am planning to buy but want to go with international version, as its useless if you develop and no audience there. Let's see.

IMO, i feel the S21U will get atleast 65 to 75K easily in exchange because,
1. S21 Ultra is out of stock at most places
2. S21 Ultra prices, new at places with stock may not go down
3. S22 Ultra won't be much of an upgrade so people may opt to buy S21 Ultra at a lower price
CONFIRMED!
Galaxy S21, S22 Galaxy S21 FE Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Galaxy Tab S8 Will ALL get 4 major android updates AND 5 years of security updates!

I agree, I sold my S21 Ultra for 65k but it took sometime for me to find a buyer. The prices should be in the 55k range for S21 Ultra after the release of S22U. But regardless of that with all the goodies they will give (hopefully), the nett cost shouldn't be more than 30-35k. The nett cost for my Note 20U to S21U transfer was 10k.
Eagerly waiting for S22U/S22+. Will be looking to pre-order from corporate website with +ve news of SD version, 4 major android version is confirmed. Just waiting for prices & offers. Will be upgrading from OP7T, so it should be big upgrade. Looking at the specs s22+ can be dark horse this year.
With SD version being released in more areas, there's high probability of good custom ROM scene.
Has anyone tried Samsung exchange program ? Any experience to share ?

From what i know, SD versions of Samsung devices have been locked down since the beginning with all the custom rom things happening for the Exynos.

That's only with US version, not CH & Hongkong so it will be interesting to know which version of SD will be launced in india.
Model number ending with '0' shoule be rootable but U won't. e.g. 'S9080' can be rooted "S908U" can't.
exynos model usually ended with "B" (in case 5G ) e.g "S908B"
"Note" worthy, with minimal improvements,
For S21U users,
This isn't gonna be an upgrade.
It'll be a "next version released, so buying it" thingy.
Do we think we will have issues with BL unlock disabling cameras?

It shouldn't. Still need to know which version they are releasing in India.
Camera restriction they have applied on Fold3 but later with oneui 4.0 no more issue, so I don't think they will implement again
Why pre-book offer is so useless this time around with a flagship? Is it like "Hey, we are giving you Snadragon this time around, not those hard to convince inhouse Exynos", so stay happy with a smart tag?

I don't think the actual cashback and accessory discount offers will be displayed till the price has been announced and deals struck with banks (most probably HDFC again).
Isn’t it odd that India still doesn’t have pricing or preorder date or retail launch announced even 24 hours past the global launch? Been buying every S flagship day 1 preorders and I can recall all the way back to 7 years when we started getting pricing and preorder info immediately. Anyone knows if pre-reserve can be clubbed with preorder when it opens up later? Last year I didn’t bother with pre reserve but did preorder directly from the Samsung India website for the ultra.

They have done it before too, pre-reserve is just there way of keeping the hype active. Pre-reserve will club with Pre-order as usual. There partner is going to be HDFC or ICICI only as they are with most bankable users who have proven record of buying Samsung Devices.
Yet we don't get the price level of US. There they are giving 512gb for price of 256gb & 256gb for 128gb. We wont have 128gb & base will be 256gb. Pricing may start 1L+ uptil 1.2L
