Nillkin CP+ tempered glass screen protector - completely covers the screen - Galaxy S6 Accessories

i found this on Nillkin's website. it looks like they made a version where it covers the complete front of the screen, even below the home button. this is the only glass screen protector i've seen that completely covers the front of the S6. all the others leave a noticeable gap at the sides, top, and don't cover the area under the home button. it looks like a complete replacement for the glass, but one you stick on.
unfortunately, i can't find it for sale anywhere ... yet. if someone does, please post the link.
update:
they're starting to show up on ebay. search for "samsung s6 glass full" and/or "samsung s6 cp+"

below is the "standard" version i ordered. notice the difference:

Will be looking into this in the coming week. One of the biggest thing besides the typical responsiveness and screen clarity priorities was this:
the tempered glass CURVES to fit the curved edge of the S6's screen. This is huge and I am hoping to god it fits perfectly and flawlessly as they claim. i'll keep you updated

The tempered glass does not curve to fit the edge. The 2.5D refers to the edge of the tempered glass being cut to have a curve instead of being flat. They do this for feel and durability. Also, screen protectors like these haven't been very durable (sides chip easily) on the iPhone 6/6+ since they don't match the curvature of the phone's glass. The reason the bezels on this tempered glass are colored is to hide the halo that would otherwise be present around the edges if it were all clear.

didn't realize that what the reason for the colored bezels. but just as long as the screen protector covers the entire screen and doesn't lift, i'll be happy

Yup! That's why its colored. The side effect of that is you get a solid color on the front and more protection. If its made well, I'm interested. Problem is some of the "colored" screen protectors only use adhesive on the colored portion. So the clear area is just glass floating on glass. Effects touch sensitivity. I'm hoping that's not the case as I would prefer a full screen vs a smaller fit.

i read the reviews on the versions for the iphone 6 and they say that the adhesive is only on the screen portion, not the "colored" parts. consequently, dust gets under the screen protector and it starts to lift. i'm hoping they improved the design with their "arc screen technology."
i've only found one seller on ebay so far: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nillkin-9H-...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item2a4e9ec83c
the price is about $5 bucks cheaper than caseinthebox.com and they both ship from China. however, the seller is relatively new and their rating is 98.7%. YMMV

i just came across this "full coverage" glass screen protector from a brand called Benks. i've never heard of it, but the claims appear to be identical to Nillkins'.
Benks adopts the latest development technology for the curved screen, by which glass protective film can cover the curved edge completely and perfectly.

I got mine in yesterday in black, it completely covers the front you would think it was a black s6 if you didn't know I put it on there. Clarity is very good too, now to see how it lasts for day to day use. For the most part though I was very pleased with the results, the only thing was at the start the edge kept lifting on one side a bit but I woke up this morning and it sealed down completely around the edges.

I had to use my old nexus 4 work phone to take pictures so they are pretty terrible but as you can see it goes to every edge and piece of the phone perfectly. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my screens and I can comfortably say that it impressed me (especially that I got no dust or anything under the screen or bubbles)

Nice. I just wish they didn't color the glass.

Looks good, thanks for the pictures.

Would have been nicer if it was clear but you can't complain about the coverage I guess

Is there adhesive on the actual display area or is it free floating like the Moshi?

I honestly don't know when installing there was film on both the edge and main screen portion with a slit in between for what I assume was for the screen to curve to the edges

Does anyone have experience with Martin Field´s Screen Protectors?
These
This looks like it is a one piece for the front, so the buttons also are coverd. Don´t know how this effects the buttons.
Howßs about Brando´s Protectors, had very good experience with them on normal phones. But they are pretty thick (subjective) don´t know how this effects the touch functionality. Altough the protector supplied with the Diamond from HTC is not bad as well.

Actually i have some Martin Fields protectors on order for my diamond, my experience with them on other devices is that they are AMAZING, they really are fantastic. Very very clear and as thin as you could ask for. By the looks of it, the protector will not cover the centre button/touch sensitive area, and only covers the hard buttons... so it should not effect functionality... i will update after i have received & applied mine.
I've used Martin Fields screen protectors on my last 3 or 4 devices. Couldn't recommend them enough.
hey
ok well got my martin fields protector today and applied it, i have only applied the screen portion of the protector and not the (bottom 1/3) button protector yet (coz i already have a MOMAX protector on the buttons) The screen is good, i would say there is a bit more resistance when swiping with your finger around compared with the 'in box' protector, but that is intentionally designed to help with stylus precision. the clarity of the material is fantastic, as with all martin fields products. the screen is still very responsive with the protector on, so it is not too thick or anything imo. the only real criticism (which i have noticed b4 on martin fields stuff) is that the area that is cut out for the ear speaker is not as cleaner cut as i have seen in other protectors, but it is overall a very good protector, and is easy to apply.\
Note also the protector is (as expected) rather fingerprint prone - to more or less the same extent as the in-box protector.
Ok thanks for that review but I have one further question. Depending on the thickness and design of the edges of the protector, with the originial protector applied it happens that when i put my Diamond in the Pouch the edges sometimes stick with the inside of the pouch. So that dust and lint can come under the edges and that makes this ugly and the edges will become used so that sooner or later the whole protector will get off.
How does the MF protector behave in theses situations and especially the protector on the buttons. Because the buttons are not protected by the frame of the diamond, like the screen is, so the edges are more easily bend over during usage?

No the protector is like a half mm less wide and less long which shd help with that, also i feal it is attached to the device more securely than the original SP. you may get some small bits of dust sticking to the edge, by that i mean the thickness has some adhesive on it, but lint will NOT get under the protector in my estimation. Also MF has a good way of removing lint if its under the screen after application, watch their vids on their website. its pretty good overall, the only flaw is just the slight increase in resistance when swiping yr finger around the screen, bt im used to that already.

Hey yeah these are MOMAX protectors, they are not bad BUT the fit is not as close to the edges as MF or the original SP. Also the bit of glass above the top speaker is not covered by the protector, its just left open and so susceptible to scratches... also i found it is not attached the the device as strongly as the competition
good value tho

I have just brought the EXiM SPUC not the spoc. Cost under 7 pounds from ebay. Used EXiMs for years now for my psp to all my touch screen phones. Never have a complaint compared to the cheap pack of 10 versions kicking about. There is a reason why you get 10 in a pack 'cause you prob have to scrap half of them or they are scratched already!

Clarivue Screen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [Mini Review]EDIT:PARTIAL REFUND

EDIT: 8/1/13; Escalated via Paypal today and got resolution today for a partial refund of $20. I Clarivue offered a screen protector as a replacement and I declined. However, I requested a partial refund of $20.
EDIT: 7/29/13; I have been in email conversation with Clarivue and they are not on the up an up. Point being when I ordered, there were no pictures, no claims that the screen protector was made smaller to accommodate the curved glass of the N4. If there were such pictures, why did I ask if there were cut outs for the prox sensor and front cam? They will not even give me a new one to try out again without shelling out another $10 bux. They have lost me as a customer at this point and I suggest that people take heed in this my review and take it for what it's worth. Unfortunately, not worth 27 bux. It's a shame. Like I said, the glass is smooth, but the size just kills it for me. Clarivue claiming that all of this was disclosed when the glass was posted for sale on the site. I know what I did or did not see on that site.
Clarivue screen protector for the nexus 4. Not horrible but the protector is too short and not wide enough. It just covers the width of the screen. So I had to lift to readjust and because of that the side adhesive does not seat on the screen anymore as you can see in the pic. I am back using the iloome screen protector which I took off to try this and it stuck right like it was brand new.
Bottom line, if you have a TPU case or Seidio case of the same sort that has a large lip covering the screen, this may be the perfect protector for you. Using the phone with it was actually pretty responsive, I say a tiny bit better than the iloome, but that's just using for a few minutes.
I was so hoping this was THE protector to get. It's not for me. I mean it just barely fits and does not cover the entire screen like the iloome does. I can foresee dust and debris digging in there pretty easily, especially for me if I kept using it with the sides not seating anymore.
I will place an email to Clarivue. I have spoken to Alex before purchasing this and was told there would be a "restocking fee" but no refunds on these. I'll report back on what he/they say.

I seem to be having the same issue with the protector, it just won't adhere to the sides of the screen. I have removed and reapplied it but nothing has improved. I will talk to them and see what happens since I have bought two of these.
I just want to be clear, The adhesive was fine when you first applied it but once you remove and reapply the adhesive becomes weak? or was it weak since the first application?

It handle's fingerprints pretty good actually. The sensitivity is good as well. If I can use PIE UI, then it passes muster in my book , but the size of it or lack of it IMO holds it back from being a recommend from me.
I'm more upset that you're cheating on your Nexus 4 with an HTC One...
LOL! JUST KIDDING!
Yeah, I mentioned that it looked WAY too short all around from the press shot which is why I wasn't even considering buying one but thank you for the review.
I think I'll try iloome + Ringke Slim. Do you think the iloome will fit well with the Ringke Slim? Thank you.

That HTC One is my wife's work phone . I have the diztronic ultra slim and try that on Monday when I get back in the office with the iloome.
Thanks for the review. Two important things for me is how the screen reacts to fingerprint marks and touch sensitivity. Well, although the size is not really optimal, this protector is one of my favorite choices now.

OP Updated with the latest Clarivue news. Bottom line, they will not give me a replacement without shelling out 10 bux. And this screen protector being utterly useless, I just wasted $27.
Remember the sides not adhering properly? I though it was me. Apparently I don't think so anymore. Check out their pic on their own site with the adhesive not on the screen on the bottom right.
Yeah, this one looked worse that the Marulabs to me which is why I immediately ruled it out as an option. Just poorly designed and bad adhesive.
They really should refund your money. If I were you, I'd do a charge back with your CC or dispute with PayPal.

I see the slight bit of lift around the edge it doesn't bother me tho. With the screen on you can't see it. And it is convex at the edge, and with the screen off it makes it look a little wider than it really is. Also it does stick to the edge but its not quite as tight.
It doesn't have an adhesive backing it is a protective silicone layer. Its not sticky at all
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app. The glass goes from edge to edge on the displayed pucture
Overall your not gonna get any better with a flat piece of glass since it runs perfectly between the display under the glass of the screen

I am glad you like it. I for one do not. Ok if it's not adhesive, it doesn't fit flush on the screen then. Even the picture from Clarivue shows that effect, which fails for me. If you like it, that's all that matters right?
Looks like Clariveu read your review and did some more editing in their product description that I don't remember seeing before.

The reviews are also very misleading, not because they are fake but because they encompass not only the S6 but for every single phone model they made the tempered glass for.
For S6 specific reviews, use the drop down list for the "All formats" filter and you can see only S6 reviews.
S6 specific review
You will find a little more info about the tempered glass
/
Okay, but let's take a big step back here and talk tempered glass meta at the present time. First, the S6 isn't even "officially" out yet. Isn't it possible that manufacturers used approximate dimensions based on prototypes? Yes. Isn't it possible there are only a few tempered glass factories (in china of course) that mass produce these for many, many phone accessory businesses? Yes.
My advice, don't purchase any tempered glass until a manufacturer specifically announces a revision has been released. I would wait another month or longer in all honesty because i estimate that's when they will be reordering more from their vendors and that is when they can request a better, WIDER piece of glass. My glass width didn't even cover the display fully. I know the bezel is nice and narrow on the sides but there is still 1-2 mm of room the tempered glass could've covered if it was wider.
TL;DR: wait for the next reiteration of tempered glass products for the S6, the dimensions are still wonky and I suspect most brands will have this problem because they all get their glass from the same few factories.
That's about average for rounded glass screens. To prevent lifting. Maybe a little larger..but not much. Your not going to see that much better.
There aren't any that I've seen that cover the entire face of the phone when it's a curved display
that's unfortunate. i ordered one from Nillkin. i hope theirs offers more coverage, but i doubt it. after looking at their promo renders more closely, they're exactly like how your pics look.
do your fingers catch on the screen protector when sliding in from the sides? looks like that would be annoying

And I got THIS!

As others have pointed out, it's not going to get any better. Go check out the 260+ page thread of tempered glass failures in the Note 4 section. It's because Samsung has decided to use curved edge displays for some retarded reason.
If the protector covers any more it will lift from the screen creating a halo effect.
The one you bought actually looks really good though for the money. Thanks for posting it.
what about those glass screen protector which are 2.5d? like ivoler
i found this on Nillkin's website. it looks like they have a version where it covers the complete front of the screen, even below the home button. it looks like a complete replacement for the glass, but one you stick on.
i can't find it for sale anywhere, though. if someone does, please post the link.

maybe the one you ordered is made that way to be case-friendly?
I notice a lot on manufacturers advertise two versions of screen protectors, case-friendly and normal..

I'm kinda glad you posted the picture you did because I also had ordered the same one you got. I'll be doing a review of both.
I'll wait for the Zagg glass and hop for no halos.
I'd say it looks as advertised (not covering the entire screen).

Was going to say the same thing. And it's actually covering the entire screen....looks like it would provide great protection with most cases.
OP....how does the glass feel, respond to touch, etc?
I ordered the Tech Armor tempered glass screen protector and it's similar to this one. It's VERY narrow fitting to the screen edges so u MUST apply it perfectly to get 100% coverage. And that's just the actual "screen" part of the glass! Not really super happy because it still Halos as well and what's the point of a screen protector that does not cover the whole screen and STILL halos?? They will most likely make a revision and they do have a lifetime warranty so I will see what happens but so far I am not liking the edges and how some call it "case friendly". That's a garbage term IMO... You can see the back protector from Spigen ( a free one that came with a case) is WAAAY to narrow so that's def a no go as well. I will say the oleophobic coating is spot on though and that's a few points for the Tech Armor but the sides are gonna get bad, I can already tell. Good luck getting a good brand and I will be checking out pics so I can find one that does the job I need it to do. Loving the S6 though!!

There are some pics if you wanna see this particular brand and how it fits. I almost got it perfect but I am just a tad off but zero dust particles under the screen protector... :good:

thanks. i think i'm going to wait for a better seller, though.
i got a ringke fusion case today and in the pack was screen protectors for the front and back there is a leaflet with them that say:
"galaxy s6 screen protectors are designed smaller than the actual screen of the device this is due to the curved edges or devices, it will improve installation processes and prevent films from damage by causing it to lift and allow dust in between screen protector and your device. this is due to the nature of the galaxy s6"

Nilkin have great screens as i have heard from many reviews before.
I have tried many of TGSP from different manufacters but Nillkin is my favourite. Always right fitting, great price and nice coating top of glass. Second favourite is British Orzly but they are bit more expensive.

its a tad smaller and leaves a tiny gap round the perimeter of the phone. I ll try to post a pic to see the result later.
I still havent found one tempered glass that fits perfectly on curved displays yet. Tried most of them on Note 7, iphone 6s, Note 4 all suffer of that tiny gap.
The only solution that works 100% are the wet application screen protectors, but they are not glass sadly..

Nillkin Honor 8 Tempered Glass
Received everything today! Package comes with the front glass as well as a plastic film for the back of the phone.
The glass tries its best to go as far to the edge as possible with minimal halo effect.
I'm completely satisfied with it! Pictures attached.
Paired this protector combo with an iVoler TPU case from amazon (http://amzn.to/2cPFJcD) photo of the case also attached
Overall 10/10 satisfaction with this protective setup! Total cost for me was about $22 dollars on amazon for both items.

Totally agree. Its such a shame. Doesnt seem to be any option unfortunally =/
Hey guys I have an update!
SO my nillkin protector cracked about two days ago, right where the edge starts to curve. I contacted the seller on Amazon and they are sending me a new one no charge. Thing is, it was coming from china instead of Amazon Prime, so I ordered this off of eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/182275291510
I didn't realize this at first but, the Nillkin protector is only a mere 0.2mm thick! It's probably while the edge chipped and a hairline crack appeared so fast... The Nacodex from eBay is substantially thicker, probably either 2-3 times as thick.
I then measured them with my cheapo calipers, the nillkin was advertised to be 0.2mm, and I got a reading of ~0.21mm. On eBay, there was no specification as to how thick the Nacodex was, and so I measured it to be about ~0.5mm.
Hopefully the Nacodex lasts alot longer than the Nillkin!
Photos are attached.
In the photo of them side by side, the nillkin is on the right while the nacodex is on the left.
P.S: I also purchased this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/232058327844 just to review it, as it was the cheapest one I found on eBay (Coming from the US)
I've bought the Ultimate Shield tempered glass screen protector.
Will report back if you wish

Glass Screen Protectors

With the FLat Screen on the GOOGLE PXEL and Pixel 4 XL - getting quality screen protectors is going to be much easier than it has been in the past with curved glass screens.
I ordered my screen protector form Amazon - The AMFILM Glass Screen Protector
and I am very happy with the results. Comes with the usual accessories and a 'frame' for installing the screen protector. The box includes 3 glass screen protectors in case something happens with the first one. The price
is very reasonable, just $8.99. Installation was a piece of cake - no bubbles - installed quickly - no halo around the edges and case friendly.
I have used AMFilm Screen protectors on other phones and have always been very happy with their customer service and the quality of their screen protectors. I installed mine and then put my Spigen Crystal Clear case
on and I feel it is nicely protected. Looks great too!

Look for the ESR tempered glass. Black borders but it's full adhesive and fits perfect. has an installation frame so no alignment issues. 2 pack for 15 I think.

It's a 3 pack as well, a little less cost and has the grooved cutouts instead of the straight flat line at the top. Will see how well it applies and handles.

I currently have these on and the fit isn't the best. I get a slight halo on the top cutout and a little on the lower left side. I'm pretty sure if a installation tray was included it would solve the problem. I also gave these a try but the black border covered some of the viewable screen and the case was pathetic so I sent them back. I will be getting the AMFILM like the OP today. Those were great with the 3XL.

I like the ESR TGSP too for the 4XL. I was able to install it bubble-free with the included tray and I like the fact it's full adhesive. This is probably the best one out there right now until Whitestone Dome makes one for the the Pixel 4 & 4XL.

The only issue I have with the ESR is the borders cut into your display so you loose a tiny bit on the edge.

Does your screen protector seem too narrow and not wide enough? I am tempted to get the same one but the reviews on Amazon seem to consistently complain how the screen protector isn't wide enough to cover the entire screen
every TGSP on Amazon seems to have issues with being too narrow...
I also like the reviews which were all written months before the phone was released too! All were 5 stars...

The Pixel 4 XL's screen is curved/rounded near the very edges. This means that any tempered glass screen protector is going to have to be a couple millimeters smaller than the screen, so that it doesn't develop a halo (due to dust & debris finding it's way under the screen protector near the edges where there's little/no adhesion).
In my opinion, the amFilm tempered glass screen protector is VERY precisely sized so that it doesn't develop a halo, yet covers ALL of the viewable/back-lit screen area.
I am very happy with the fit
I've tried a few screen protectors so far and finally found one that has zero halo and covers the visible part of the actual screen. I also comes with an install frame for aligning it properly.

I have the amFilm as well, and it definitely feels too narrow. Not visually, but it's not pleasant to use with the back gesture. Your thumb ends up rubbing on the sharp edge. Other than that, it seems very high quality and fits very well.
I also tried the Pleson screen protector, and I highly recommend avoiding that. It doesn't adhere properly at all. I tried installing two of them with no luck, and threw away the third. Complete junk.
I've ordered the IntelliARMOR screen protector to see how that works.
Edit: Now that you mentioned it and I took a closer look, the amFilm is definitely too narrow, and there are portions of the screen sticking out on both sides. I'm just going to take it off, I can't unsee it now.
