Question 120 watt hypercharge - Xiaomi 13

I know it comes with 67watt charger from box but has anyone tried to charge it with a 120watt charger? Can it technically work?

It is intended for a 67w fast charge, you risk damaging the batteries with a 120w.

I charge it all the time with 120w, it's automaticly say " Mi Turbo charge 67w max" so basically with 120w you still get the max 67w.
I don't think there is any potential damage from using the 120w.
the phone take the max and the charger limit the amount of power it deliver.

Okay I see so it's just locked to 67watt, that was my question.
Thanks for the response

Any idea the 67watt is a software lock? Maybe with a custom kernel this could be unlocked to 120watt

Y lo cargo con un 33 por miedo xD... aunque la verdad no necesito más velocidad. Saludos.

And I charge it with a 33 for fear xD... although the truth is I don't need more speed. Greetings.

How charge Mate 8 normally instead of quick charge?

Hi.
There was a (little big) charger inside phone box and there is " HUAWEI QUICK CHARGE " label on it.
When I charge my phone with this charger it will get hot and fully charge takes about 45 min.
Now how can I have a normal charge instead of quick charge?
I couldn't find any option in the phone to switch between normal charge and quick charge.
Here some details of the charger:

}
Thanks.
"When I charge my phone with this charger it will get hot and fully charge takes less that 40 min."
This of course is completely impossible
Any way, how can I charge my phone normally?
Just use a normal wall charger, I'm using my old LG charger while charging at night ... you don't need to set quickcharge or something else ...
Or use a crappy usb-cable. Or simply keep on using Fast Charge, which doesn't overheat the phone, here, at all.
So there isn't any problem if I charge Mate 8 with my Xperia Sp or other charger? (OUTPUT : 5.0 VDC - 850mA)
Why there isn't an option to switch between normal and quick charge? (That's too bad).
No, there's no problem when using a different charger.
Why do you want an option? I dont understand ... what would be the benefit of such an option?
Quick charger would damage battery in long usage, wouldn't it?
nope
OK.
Thanks.

They have two different SoC though dependant on region. They won't offer a different charging solution if their in house chips don't support it. The difference between QC2 and the QC4 isn't huge. You're talking about minutes. All the current flagships have a fairly similar charge time with not much in it.

0 to 100% charge in under 20 minutes?
Result: Exploding batteries and reduced lifetime of battery if it was true
As of now it looks like were getting QC 2.0 according to whats sent out with tester units in Europe(http://imgur.com/a/aGG0F). S7 had chipset that would support QC3.0 but had 2.0. No phone out supports QC4.0 yet since the S8 will be first phone with the SD 835. Highly doubt we'll get 4.0, possibly 3.0, most likely 2.0.

I have my phone 11 months now and it shows 78%.
Yesterday I tried accubattery pro and it showed 85%
All this time I charged phone with slow 1amper charger and maybe 4-5 with warp charge.
Is it normal?

Those things are not entirely accurate. For example blp699 that is the battery for this phone has 15.40wh that is 4000mah times average voltage of 3.85. But even these aren't entirely accurate, because the voltage rises as you charge the battery from let's say 3v or 3.3 to 4.4v.
When you charge the phone on a charger, the average voltage becomes 5v +- a few milivolts. So if you get the rated 15.4wh of the battery and you divide it by let's say 5 volts you get 3.08 Ah or 3080mah.
This math is done without involving heat disipation from the phone and charger, and whatever current is lost from the fact that maybe your device is powered on.
Use the oneplus diagnostic app. It shows the battery health like iphones.

Original charger

Hey there
Does anyone know if the charger included with the phone has the capability to reach maximum charging power (33W) or we need to buy it apart if we want the quickest charge

It charges my phone very fast (a bit over 1 h from 0%-100%) like they advertise it, so I think the charger is a 33W one.
I tried quick charge 3.0 the yellow usb and I got fast charging only not turbo charge and I think is using only 18w on fast charge and 33 for turbo charge

Not every rom support fast charge. You need ask to developer about fast cgarging.
1 not all the roms support fast charge
2 if the cable or the charger are not xiaomi certified wont charge using turbo charge
3 get always originals parts to can use all the xiaomi features
