[Q] Fastboot mode

i don't see any valid method to boot in fastboot mode like G4.
Right ?!
You can boot into DL mode like the G2, no fastboot mode available yet.

Backup 1st:
dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/laf of=/sdcard/laf.img
Zero Out
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/laf
Enter bootloader (now fastboot mode): Turn off, press and hold volume up, plug in cable.
Restore Laf:
dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/laf

I don't know, I'm stuck in ATT System, but you can try it with the commands above
Check Enable OEM unlock option in Developer Options... then try this code in fastboot mode
Code:
Fastboot getvar unlocked
what bootloader lock? the kernel or system? Does it check both? why can we edit sysyem partition and bootloader dont stop booting?
I think custom roms is possible right now, but Im not familiar with lg to try it, and if bootloader kills my boot, how to recover system without fastboot or recovery...

I cannot boot into fastboot.
enable the oem unlock option, then adb.
adb reboot-bootloader
phone reboots, but no fastboot, reboots normally

Cant flash any updated Recovery; Rom is Bricked

Hey, so I went to install Android 6.0 on my OPO, but there seemed to be some driver issue with the Wifi.
So I wanted to go back to my original OS, that I had backuped. I had the same Problems on this one too - as soon as I would enable WiFi, It would just crash and reboot after a few seconds.
Then I thought, perhaps with a updated Recovery it would work. So i tried to install a newer version of TWRP.
This is what happens:http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3627932&stc=1&d=1454171784
Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

How exactly do you mean that?
I issued the command "fastboot oem unlock" prior to trying to flash.

Try this: fastboot oem device-info, and show us what it says.
fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img
Don't need to erase recovery it will overwrite existing recovery

Hi all
Iam trying to unlock my bootloader in moto m to root the device.
when trying
fastboot oem get_unlock_data>> it shows as failed remote unknown error
also i used command fastboot oem unlock,it says as unlocked
then tried to flash it with twrp recovery image>it says as done but I cant able to go to twrp.

Once you have flashed the twrp image, can you boot into android? Does adb work? If yes, try and run "adb reboot recovery" and report results.

3 easy steps:
1. fastboot oem unlock in bootloader mode. Accept the message on the phone's screen. Read carefully.
2. Fastboot boot twrp.img
3. flash / sideload latest supersu.zip

Fastboot commands problem.

If using windows, make sure you are using command prompt in administrator mode. If using linux, use sudo fastboot ******
Just a thought

I would say either you're trying to reboot to bootloader (adb reboot bootloader) with the phone on and not in storage mode and without debug on...
Or you're in bootloader and it's already locked.
Other than that, I'm clueless.

I dont know how....(XT1952-6)

I am just glad it wasn't my everyday phone..I am new to the whole "rooting" process, i was trying it on my old moto g(7) play XT1952-6, and i wasn't have very much luck, i finally was able to fash it and tried to install a custom rom, when my phone rebooted it is now stuck on fastboot mode and my bootloader is now locked again...It is showing different specs on the device now also, when i looked it up it in reading as an M92 Desktop (ThinkCenter) type 2119ABF...I can no longer turn the device on and with the bootloader locked i can not flash again..the (LMSA) is not able to rescue it either...is there anything i can do to fix it?
can you enter fastboot?
