Question Keyboard isn't showing up. Is factory reset my only smart option? - OnePlus Nord CE 2

So, I'm pretty desperate. The other night my phone had shut down. The next morning I tried to open it, dialed my pin and next the phone asks for my password. Well I couldn't type it in because the keyboard wasn't showing up. I restarted it, reboot it in recovery mode, drained the battery just to see if it helps. Nothing. It just won't show up. Went to show it to the shop where I bought it, they didn't really help me much. My brother tried to connect his keyboard with usb-c cable, but the phone didn't recognize it. He also wondered if I could use some sort of USB to get it write the password automatically. I didn't save my stuff in cloud, so yea, no backups. I'll learn. I'm basically weighing my options before factory reset...Do you guys have any ideas?

Other than a factory reset, If you can get into recovery adb sideload your latest firmware and restart the phone. if it continues with the issue go back to recovery and factory reset.

[Q] Connect to Computer and get Code 43 USB Malfunction

I've had my Transformer hooked up to my computer before, and it's been fine, now I hook it up and i get code 43 USB device not recognized, device has malfunctioned. I really haven't done anything to it lately, but i did have the power go out at the house when it was plugged in charging to the wall. I didn't really see anything on the net and i've done all of the normal stuff, restart, unitstall, reinstall, and manually delete out of registry, everything, factory reset, different ports, different computers, different houses even, it's weird. And i'm a computer tech, I ususally don't post because I eventually figure it out or find it on the net, but i'm stuck. Unless i have completly overlooked something, BUT I'm pretty sure I didn't.
I did have a problem over the weekend where my vol - button got stuck and kept going into recovery and i couldn't get it out. Finally fixed the button and got it to boot and got stuck at Android "Enter password" which i don't have any clue about, or know the password figuring out that it wasn't related to my google account, so I went into recovery and factory data wipe and been stuck with the USB problem since.

Driod XT1080 Maxx - No Recovery, No Factory, And No USB Connection To PC

XT1080 Maxx - no recovery, no factory, and no USB connection to PC
I am trying to fix my brother's XT1080 Maxx, or at least get his photos off of it. This phone is stock, as my bro is not tech savvy at all.
He went to bed one night. I am not sure if the phone tried installing an update while unplugged or what happened, but when he woke up in the morning and tried turning it on, it stuck on the droid eye screen. He tried rebooting a few times and was finally able to get to the unlock screen, but once unlocked, everything crashed, like motolauncher, gapps, acore, media, etc.
We took it to several Verizon retailers, some official stores and some authorized retailers. Everyone said they could not help.
At this point, he gave it to me to work with. I tried recovery from fastboot, but it says boot failed. After lots of turning on and off, I was able to get to the unlock screen. After pushing OK to the millions of crashes, I was able to get to the settings screen. I tried everything from clearing cache to factory resetting within the settings. Nothing would work. Anything to do with data would bring up a .media crash. The best I got was turning on the Bluetooth, but nothing useful can be done with it. I also tried NFC, but could never complete a transfer, which didn't matter because I could not get to his gallery anyway. I booted in safe mode a few times and always got the same results.
I tried every option possible to connect the phone to my computer. The USB never did a thing, no matter what driver I tried using. I downloaded all kinds of programs from these forums. The computer would not recognize it in fastboot either.
I told my bro he was screwed and tried a fastboot factory reset. All it does is boot the phone in the normal way, which either sticks on the droid eye or finally makes it to the unlock screen. At this point, I am raging mad.
I decided to disassemble the phone to see if removing the battery would somehow magically allow me to connect it to the computer. I currently have just the board and battery connected to a PC. I had a fastboot driver to come up for a split second, but I have no idea how or why. I am not sure if I bent the board just right, which allowed a contact to be made, but I have not been able to replicate it.
Does anyone have any ideas? The phone is screwed for sure, so if there is anything extreme I can do to save his pictures, I will do it. Thanks in advance.

Samsung J7 Prime G610M - FAP Lock + weird usb problem - Urgent

So, something very weird started happening to my phone. Out of nowhere, about 7 hours ago, it would stop charging whenever it was on, charging only when it was off and connected to my laptop. However, I thought it was just something wrong in the dev options, and I went to change whatever was the USB option to "charge phone". With this, I did accidentally forgot to activate the OEM option, and had to reboot not long after. You can probably see where this is going now.
Now I have a phone that bootloops on the FAP Lock message, and whenever I go to download mode to fix it, my PC just doesn't recognize the Phone. I've tried different USB cables, all of them are only recognized when the phone is shut down. So it isn't a hardware problem, because the Phone actually charges when it's shut down, and it isn't a problem with my USB ports or cables, as anything else I use with it works fine. And the worst part is, I need this phone today for a serious bank matter, and I can't afford to lose any data on it either, there's some very personal important stuff from yesterday that wasn't backed up yet. And keep in mind that paying for it to be fixed is the last option for me, as I can't afford it (besides, I fear they might end up getting the phone in factory reset mode, and I can't lose that data as I said).
Any kind of suggestions on how to get either the PC to recognize the phone, or flashing in a different way that doesn't need the PC to recognize the device? Thanks in advance.
Edit: Whenever I try to connect the phone via USB, it doesn't even make the Windows "USB connected" sound, it's just like it isn't there at all. One time, I got it to show, but it was as a "unrecognized usb device", and I haven't been able to replicate it yet.

Frozen Screen; Retrieve Pictures?

Out of nowhere my S6 stopped working. Each time I restart my phone it gets stuck on the "LTE Plus" screen. I need to figure out a way to retrieve my pictures/videos. I didn't back them up. I checked my Samsung, Google, and One Drive accounts. Below is a list of things I can still do on my phone and things I've attempted. Let me know if you have any ideas.
1. I can soft restart my phone
2. I can restart it into download and bootloader mode
3. I can not start it up in safe mode
4. I wiped cache partition
5. I can connect it to my laptop via USB but it only shows as a bluetooth device. It does not show any options to open up files. The phone was not debugged prior to the phone breaking.
6. I've tried trial versions of Fone Lab and 2-3 other similar programs. Each time with no luck.
Would love to hear your thoughts or ideas. I really don't want to lose these pictures/videos. Thanks!

Troubleshooting USB problems

Hello, I have a Samsung A51 through T-Mobile. Recently my phone has only been charging and won't do any data transfer or bring up the menu to select what to do with the connection. After trying many different things I found out it will connect with data transfer only when I restart the phone while it's plugged in. Once I unplug the phone and plug it back in nothing. But if I leave it plugged in and restart it again it shows up.
Any ideas? All help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked around and cannot find anything regarding my issue.
Thank you
Try a known good cable.
Make sure the phone pop up enabling the data connection is enabled. Without permission each time access will be denied... at least on my Samsung.
Access the drive directly in Device Management; hit scan for new devices.
Check Event Viewer for errors logged.
Reload the drivers on the PC.

I can do all that. But only after restarting my phone while it's plugged in. It's not a cable issue or a USB port issue. Ive tried multiple cables and ports. And also tried same cable with different phone. The port on my phone is fine. If I plug it in, restart my phone it shows up as it should. Once I disconnect the phone and plug it back in, nothing. It's very odd. I think it may be an update issue from t mobile. But figured I'd check here.
Thank you for your response
Also, the pop up to allow access only shows up when phone is plugged in and I restart it. I unplug it and plug it back in. And it will only show thats charging and there isn't a prompt or selection of what to do with usb (transfer files, images, MTP, tethering etc.

Try this troubleshooting steps https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-the-Record-of-USB-Plug-in-Equipment and that https://www.partitionwizard.com/disk-recovery/the-last-usb-device-malfunctioned-windows-10.html from time to time my Samsung devices have some kind of issues with Windows 10.
Also you should try with adb commands pairing both and allow the access always when the prompt appears, it could be some kind of permission denied or malfunctioning that either Samsung is not asking correctly to PC or the permission from PC is not coming properly to device, this should happen due to some old logs or a filled directory in the USB hub in Windows that needs some cleaning.

Check Developer options>USB default configuration
Try clearing system cache on the phone.
Try a hard reboot on the phone.
If you unplug the phone from the PC you need to reauthorize it via the phone pop up after you reconnect it... each time.
If you always leave the PC on, reboot it.

Like I've said. There is no prompt unless I restart my phone while plugged in. This isn't my first phone. I understand how it "should" be working. And it only acts as it should when I plug it in and restart the phone. Once I unplug it and plug it back in its as if I'm using a charg only cable.
Thanks for the response

Meh then play with it... you know the drill.
Goggle it and look at other models/OS's that had the same issue as well. A lot of the same issues keep reoccurring so this tactic is helpful with newer models too.
Either it's settings, the load got screwed up or it's hardware maybe the port. Worse case... a mobo failure.
Try it in safe mode.
I probably do a factory reset* especially if it's an old load. If that fixes it but the issue returns latter, it's a setting or 3rd party app causing it.
*if it persists after a factory reset it's possible the firmware version is the problem or the firmware got corrupted during the flash. Reflash firmware.

Thank you. I'll start with safe mode and go from there. I appreciate your response.
It's frustrating. Find a usable work around for the time being if you can.
Most times the solution is staring you in the face, step back and rethink it. When did it start? What was done before it started?
Try clearing the data in the Android Setup apk (Android Setup com.google.android.setupwizard Android).
Use a 3rd party app like Package Disabler PD MDM to clear it as doing it in Settings leaves a Null* (presumably) and can't fix it sometimes. I know this particular app (PD MDM) works because I had it happen to me with a USB popup issue a while back.
Clearing Android Setup apk data completely resolved it. If you see Android Setup as a cache app it is the culprit; normally it never runs except during initial setup.
*when data is reported as zero, Nulls are apperantly not reported but still there screwing things up.
