I could make things works as well, I already did a stable oss with my a70 https://github.com/samsung-sm6150-devs. So I guess could do the same job on samsung's sm8250 if no one is working on it.

can't wait for the full working version . although it would be nice if, for example, the camera apaka or the sound from the voices were at the same level as originally

There's a small error in your s-on instructions. Step 5 says to type "fastboot flash recovery" when it should say "fastboot flash boot" instead. Just thought I'd let you know, most people know better but you're bound to get someone who flashes the boot.img to their recovery partition.

Ha, we really give a job to the phone repair guys . Also, I've found some new things in your build:
1) Dialer is finally not causing any lag while opening the numbers menu.
2) Trying to unlock the phone causes a bootloop - every time.

This recovery feature almost identical to official TWRP recovery for bullhead (including system image and EFS backup) + f2fs support (tested on /cache partition, compatible ROM/kernel needed). Aroma support need more test, AromaFM 2.00b7 working great so far.
Screenshot attached. AromaFM 2.00b7 seems work correctly, wrong color space for AromaFM 1.9.1 .

Tell me You can try it without a flash using "fastboot boot recovery.img" command. Touchscreen issue depend on your ROM kernel version, should be no problem for MIUI 7.2.1.0 or 7.2.3.0 or unofficial ROM with kernel built from Xiaomi source. Maybe I will build fully compatible kernel for stock ROM but currently I still focus on my own device tree source.

Holy, thx but no, I am not a proper developer to build 8.0, I can compile Android and fix errors, but I lack the fundamental skills in order to debug and fix problems. I am trying to learn how to fix broken functions, but it's going to be a long time till I will be able to be sufficient in Android development. I believe that for now, other devs such as Rashed should continue to support the devices, and I appreciate their hard work to bring Oreo to Android. As a matter of fact, all credit should go to these devs, not me. Also, I have one build that is half compiled, may fix wifi, but idk. Also link has been fixed (must have not fixed it properly)
Any chance to port this to RS988?
One day... Shortly after i am finished learning a new language i will be teaching myself rom building and will help... Provided i am still alive.....
