Question Wow unreal - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

Guys I dropped my phone on a deck. It had siliconr case and it is stuck it won't unfold. It's blinking as if the lid is u broken. I've never been so unimpressed in my life wow

Unreal... I'm literally celebrating... this Is an embarrassment. Never again samsung.

I dropped mine when getting into my car, but it survived. The case I had on it did the job thankfully

Case? I bought this phone for its size. No case here, only Care Plus to cover these disasters. Sorry to hear it broke on you. Reports on durability are coming in as pretty good.

Yeah I actually dropped it on a deck, waist height as I was talking it out of pocket. I had the silicone case on it and it completely failed the hing. had the phone for 2 weeks and it died catastrophically. Hing mechanism completely failed and I tried opening the phone more and it caused the panel to fail. complete trash.

I like my Samsung silicon w/ o-ring, the o-ring gives pretty firm hold(silicone by itself is kinda slimy by touch) from the moment I reach for the phone into my pants pocket my left hand index finger slides right into the o-ring so it's easy to pull the phone out and unfold it having an extra grip leverage.

Latercase on mine.
Super thin

I just had the phone with a case on and dropped it once, nothing happened to the flip and I ordered phone skins for it. It'll come by tomorrow and I'll post some images after applying it!

Latercase is awesome, closest thing to the Aramid case for the Flip 3.

Indeed, I think the Aramid feels a bit nicer though. The Latercase has a kind of chalky finish.
Still, closest thing to going naked!

I got the skins from Gadgetshieldz applied on my Flip 4 and it is so good-looking! The carbon fiber black and white combo look great and other brands only give one color for both the top and bottom...

That case sucks so badly. I returned it two days later. the rubber around the hard case edges peels and gets messed up after moderate usage putting in and out of pockets.
The white case-mate has been holding up for me perfectly fine. Had it 2 weeks now, looks as good as when I bought it.

SGP speaker cutout is not perfectly aligned, but it does not affect speaker volume at all. I've got the black one. I also bought the TPU case and Otterbox Impact case. The SGP is my favorite of the three. I returned the Otterbox & keep the TPu as a backup.
Keep in mind the SGP is perfect for someone who removes the case from the phone on a daily basis. Literally takes 1/2 a second to do.
But on the flip side, it's not a super tight fitting case. More like "adequate".
I ended up getting a clone of the SGP off Ebay for $9. It fits perfect. But it adds alot of bulk to the phone which I do not like. I think I will probably go with the ghost armour

Then it's not much of a "clone", since the SGP adds no bulk at all.

I have this white Casemate case from AT&T. It fits great and feels great when holding the phone. My only complaint is that the auxiliary cable that I use in my car cannot make a connection (no connection at all!) to the jack due to the hole in the case being too small. I don't want to buy another cable to fit the case. This was the only case AT&T had for this phone, too.

Yeah! I enjoy the hell out of mine, and the customer service, and quick shipping is awesome.
I received the white rearth usa case for my skyrocket early this week.
Very nice Case. I had to chuckle because the headphone plug is actually a bit too snug I think I'm going to have to gouge it slightly I have spot to grab on it to be able to more easily remove it to plug a headphone jack in.
I also wish it didn't expose the chrome side strip like it does, but its still a nice case. Very happy with it.
edit: Just realized when the plug is put in correctly there is a white tab that sticks out on the back to grab... whoops.

UAG or Obliq - tough question

Hey guys!
For the past 4-5 days im searching a good case for my new Galaxy S4.
I wanted to buy a Element case Atom green but its too expensive for my budget. Thats why im now more into UAG or the Obliq Xtreme.
I saw a lot of videos and review about the UAG (amazing Droptest!) it looks really nice and sturdy BUT! where i live i can only buy the rust or aero version.... I wanted the black or white version because the orange is too flashy and the blue aero is just dull...
So i checked The Obliq...
Its a nice case i like the design but not as much as of UAG. Theres no video drop tests for this case so i dont know if it will survive a 6'6 feet drop (my height) but has a really neat screen protector. And i can get it in all colors!
I also heard problems with buttons and problems with case removal when ie switching battery.
So could you tell me which one to choose? Is there someone who has both of them?
Thank you!
Uag all the way. Had it for my s3 and now I have 2 for my s4 the uag Scout and uag Maverick

I like both, but currently purchased the Obliq in Gun Metal color which looks like Robocops phnoe or chest plate. I like that it keeps the slim profile yet feels nice and sturdy now in my hands. I also prefer the keyhole style cut out for camera/flash that the Obliq has vs the UAG seperate cut outs. Which I feel can interfere with the amount of flash when taking pic.
I also like the TPU rubber material used in Obliq that is much more rigid and slides into pocket or jeans easier with no pull or resistance when taking out. The front lay on table lip is about the same on both.
The corners on the UAG are extra padded which is probably better for corner drops but also makes it a bit wider and taller overall. The back plate hard plastic on the Obliq is very strong and feels unbreakable and doesn't flex much.
I have dropped my phone several times with Obliq case from different heights. Once from about 4 ft taking out of chest coat pocket. Once flat on it's face off the toilet tank cover which is about 3 feet high. Once from taking it out of back jeans pocket on it's back.
All times it didn't crack case or my screen. As for the power button and volume rocker buttons, yes they are stiff but it was a matter of doing the same thing that UAG did. Which is simply making a few slits on either side of button with an Exacto knife and all was good after that.

I've Gone NAKED!!!!!!!!

I bought a leather backed MX14 and then what did I do? I bought a bumper and 2 cases for it. Why? Because I didn't want to scratch it, lol! Stupid I know.
Then today I was taking the Incipio NGP case off to put the Case-Mate Hula bumper on so that I could at least feel the leather and I scratched the leather back with my nails. I gasped in horror but really it is a good thing b/c now it is not pristine and I can wean myself off of these cases.
The leather is really a nice feel in the hand and it isn't slippery at all. The metal frame is a bit slippery but with the grip of the leather it is not too bad.
I think I may buy a sleeve to put it in when it is in my purse.
The leather is really cool and well worth the extra $25 but the black is so unfeminine. I like it when I am dressed up in black clothes but other than that, it looks like a man's phone. I wish they would do a white leather but then, that would likely get dirty so they would get a bunch of complaints.
I think I will get this sleeve
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005TH59NW/ref=twister_B00TKU81CU?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I wish Sena Cases would make cases for the MX14. I would love a real leather wallet.

Yup, that was my issue. I started with the phone naked for the same reason mentioned above (feel in hand, looks, etc.). I've also had both the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 before this, both of which survived multiple drops each other than a slight bend in the metal. With the Moto X, on the other hand, I dropped it once onto a granite floor and the screen broke instantly. I bought a replacement and kept it naked...then dropped it again on some linoleum and broke the screen again. $240 in replacement fees later, I bought a case for the third one. The way the screen is set up makes it break instantly upon hitting a corner, which wasn't the case with my previous devices...I just don't trust this phone to survive any drop.
Yep, looks like motocare is a good investment in this case. Mine was a less than 2 foot drop from my pocket to the concrete steps in the garage. My old Galaxy S3 survived worse than that, in fact this is the first time I've had a screen crack since owning the original Galaxy S, and my phones are always naked. Worst before was dropping my Note from chest height onto dirt trail. All that did was pockmark the screen.
Speaking of naked, we have no proof the OP is actually going naked. So far I've only seen mention of a naked phone

It was $90 after sales tax for me and the deductible being only $39 would bring the cost of a new phone to $140. Even if my phone doesn't break, I am sure I will use it for a new battery when it gets close to the 2 year mark as I use my phone for WiFi MHS and that takes a toll on the battery. By then of course I will have a MX16 but it is still good to have spare phones as a backup device in case you lose your phone.

hahahahahaha, I am going to take some pics of my naked phone soon along with the cases I bought. I have a small dent in the leather now and haven't scratched it again, not bad. I do keep it in a Seidio spring clip holster (S5), so technically it is not naked. I guess I couldn't wean myself completely from my cases but the back is naked!
I really like the Hula Bumper. I bought it after the phone slipped out of my hand. I agree the metal is rather slick. A full case is a bit much considering I want to see and feel the wood on the back of my phone. That was one of the main reasons I picked it up.

What are the best cases for the red OP6?

Hi all, I bought the red OP6 a couple of weeks ago and have been using the clear case that was included. I have some mixed feelings about it, the positives for me are the raised corners to protect the screen (I just wish they would have done something similar for the camera), all buttons work perfectly and is clear to show off the amazing red color. I just have one negative issue which for me is very annoying, just at the middle in the back it sticks to the phone like if it is wet, which looks very bad, and creates the rainbow effect to the sides. So with this in mind, I am looking for a new case which hopefully doesn't have this issue.
Which would be the most recommended? And if any of you are using them please post some pics, I can´t seem to find any of the red OP6 in a case.
Thanks guys!

Pretty unclear and confusing as their images show the volume switch on the wrong side Also don't think it would do much in the way of protection.

There are little nubs on each corner of the Ringke to prevent it from hitting the desk or table when you put it down which eliminates a lot of the scratching. I used mine for a week and don't see any scratches in it. In the second to last photo the Orzly is on the left and Ringke is on the right. The last photos is the Ringke on the phone.
I have the Ringke clear also *I'm kind of a horder with cases lol* and because of the back being such a hard plastic it has grazes all over it. Dunno if its from being in the pocket with something else or whatever really. Also the cut out for the volume notch is totally off placement. I just can't find one that I'm like wow awesome atm. Although the Spigen case is pretty dam good but I have a dbrand skin on and it isn't a clear case unfortunately as you also would like. Would you consider a bumper case like Rhinoshields? I am awaiting mine to try out.

The Rhinoshield looks similar to the Orzly. I'm also a case hoarder and have 7 cases for the OP6. Every time a new one comes out that looks good I buy it. So far the Orzly is my favorite.
i dont think you should use a case on a red oneplus but no doubt the official red case is nice but my most used case if the nylon case which is so damn perfect... looks nice but also adds lots of grip and protection

Would not recommend it. I bought it, and the back doesn't sit close enough to the phone. At the camera cut-out there is about 1-2mm of space between the back of the case and the phone. If u don't have any skin on it you will scratch the back of your phone from all the dust and partials that can get through it.
Recommend these for the RED OP6. I own the first one.
# Good Quality. Fits well.
# Rubberised in and out.
# No room on the inside to cause scratches.
# Transparent Back.
# Decent lip on the front. Not the best raise, but certainly helps when flipping the phone over without having the screen touch the surface. Might be a problem for phone with a tempered glass. Check comments on Amazon for more info.

Thanks for the feedback, I too heard that the scratches in the Ringke came from evryday use and just having it in your pocket, whic is what worries me.
I do want to try the Rhinoshields bumper, I had one in my iPhone and an S7 and really liked them, but I am not sure how it would look since there is only black or white, and I think it takes away from the red phone aesthetics.
The Supcase might be the one, it looks pretty cool, except maybe for the black bumper. If ti were red or clear it would be a total winner.

Cases for the XZ3

Anyone thinking or get a case yet for the XZ3? I was looking towards a thin and transparent case. I got the bordaeux red one, so if anyone could recommend a nice clear case, that'd be great.
i will probably go for the official one, the Style Cover Touch CT70 for Xperia XZ3 but i am waiting for a review. I am really concerned about the strength of the transparent part being glued to the back part. I used to have the original for the compact x. It was super functional and beauty but after a couple of months the transparent cover detached (no hard use). On Monday i will go for something like this
https://gr.mobilefun.com/olixar-sentinel-sony-xperia-xz3-case-and-glass-screen-protector-68745
from a local store (much cheaper) until i find out more about the original, the only descent bordaeux red so far. I got a black phone by the way.

from a local store (much cheaper) until i find out more about the original, the only descent bordaeux red so far. I got a black phone by the way.

Lucky mobilefun has a US website.
Anyways, I was looking to get the Olixar clear one, but only the snap on case is available in the US. I might just get the Roxfit case instead, however it's not yet in stock; have to wait a few days. Thanks for these!

i will probably go for the official one, the Style Cover Touch CT70 for Xperia XZ3 but i am waiting for a review. I am really concerned about the strength of the transparent part being glued to the back part. I used to have the original for the compact x. I have the ct70 and it's my first cover case... I'm torn because the cover blurs the beautiful screen.
Can't find many in stock options and ringke already told me they won't make one. Spigen were vague so... Waiting for now

That sucks! I was looking forward to Ringke cases. Hopefully skinomi will come out with techskins so I wouldn't have to use a case anymore. I did, however get this case on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNFDXLK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's a nice, slim, and cheap case.

Yes I really like ringke too. For now I'm waiting on a roxfit soft case. I'm super sceptical about a glass screen protector with the curved screen

I purchased a glass protector from mobilefun, made the screen really unresponsive. So back to no protection.

Yep! It fits well. I ended up buying the Ringke Fusion X case. This case fits better. It's more snug, so hopefully no dust will get underneath the case. The front is raised too so you can place the phone face down. Corners are also well reinforced.
Just get the smart cover

if it was exactly like the one of XZ2 Premium... look how beautiful it is, and also it has 2 color options: clear and smoke black!
Why are there so few cases? And like no screen protectors at all? I got the impression the XZ3 was a public success.
I have the silver model and it's hard to find nice looking defense for it. Idk about the official flip cover, it doesn't look that safe really. And I've like never ever had a flip case, it might turn out being unfit in some circumstances.
I like original Sony Style Case Touch 'SCTH70' with Window and really love it
Happy New 2019 guys
I ordered the official Sony flip case from Amazon.
I posted in another thread... but I hope it works with the full screen protector I ordered. Also, as protection goes, it's hard to tell just how effective it is when dropped.
I got a Roxfit 'made for Xperia' hardshell - protection is fairly minimal tbh but it stops the phone sliding off everything!
