We we moved to Shanghai 3 months ago And my Dutch T-mobile couldn't display the Chinese SMS messeges and I'm also learning Chinese. I have some *** Flash a Chinese rom into it.
To cut a long story short it is not a stabel rom if it powers of reset avantgo won't run anymore etc. And I want to know the posibility's of Chinese mobile networks.
Found the roms in the wiki. BTW anyone knows a enlisch Rom witch also supports Chinese?

The Chinese rom witch is avaiable for download is traditional Chinese. (This is used in Taiwan and before HongKong)
I'm seeking for one in Simplified Chinese.
Or a englisch rom witch kan display Simplified Chinese. (Used in Mainland China, PRC)
@seasky what rom are you using and can it or can it not display Chinese simplified characters?
And My Chinese is not sufficient yet to read the page you linked, but I also could'nt find a rom there.

you may try a software called cestar,it will support simple-chinese quite well
Go to XDA-Wiki, at WM5 section, there is a method you can use to enable your device to support Chinese, without flashing the entire ROM. Just install a 3MB+ cocktail of stuff.
UPDATE: Oops, just notice yours is not a WM5 phone. Sorry.
Salvidas alarm doesn't work on my Chinese mate 8. Please can somebody with European mate 8 try if it works on his device? It's a free app and as long you don't buy additional alarms it will remain that way.
If it does work on European devices it will be worthwhile to convert(flash) my Chinese device to European.
Developer still didn't find a way. So my request remains.

Hi, just return from China, there I found a interesting projector, It looks amazing in build quality terms, image is crystal clear and works great with external devices, but it comes with android preloaded, so It can make more things alone, but the android version (kitkat) is chinese only, theres any way to change or traslate a languaje in a rom with no english option? I can find a offcial rom from the jmgo web page but I think is only for US models.

New with this phone and doesn't matter how I try too change still showing in arabic (I'm leaving in the ME, but the phone is set as US and English), even on Microsoft news shows normal in english (underwood that the feed comes from MS news).
Any Information and help appreciate.

Where did you buy the phone or what region is the ROM? I ask as i know if you have a Chinese version, then whatever you do, the assistant is in Chinese. May be its the same with yours and that you have an Aribic version. If so, i doubt if you can change it. I couldn't on my Chinese version.

I would agree with the above comment - depending on where you bought it from matters, in the past ive owned bought from china devices and i had the same issue, i had even tried to uninstall it and redownload the english version and it wouldnt work
