Can anyone help me get OTA link? (Requires Unlocked Bootloader and Formatting Device sometimes) - Motorola One Hyper Questions & Answers

so, in short.
i want to ask for help to get ota updates link.
To get the OTA .zip update link, you're going to have to do a little tricky thing.
Put the original ROM first version of Android 11 or Security Patch Month 7, 8, 9, 10 or Month 11 of 2021.
Requires Unlocked Bootloader and Original Rom (RETBR)

When searching for the link it might look like this: https://dlmgr.gtm.svcmot.com/dl/dlws/1/

my devices is rooted and i am on 7.1.1 with Android Security Patch Level June 1, 2017
can i use your method to update to Oreo even if my device is rooted?
U can unroot it and follow the steps and can enjoy oreo right now
I first discovered this metod
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74926353&postcount=48
And,you don't need to install Oreo via recovery, just right after you finish with December update, the Oreo OTA kick in,if you registered your phone on Nokia Labs.

Your steps didn't mention about to install only November 13 update, also not everyone is getting the OTA on there phone,
when you applied the DECEMBER updates to your phone, your phone might have the build number 00WW_3_70D, thats only the reason that u find OTA, Indian user get different build number after december update, that is 00A0_3_700_SP02, there fore we dont get any OTA after applying manually update...
My method works for all the phone, world wide, u can try this in case u brick ur phone...or want to updte ur phone to oreo manually.
What if i use this method without unrooting my device? Or fiat install updates and after oreo can i root my device?

For installing OTA through recovery, its necessary to be unrooted, because rooting your device cause some error in binary files that stops system to install official OTA on the phone, there for you need to install it in clean mod and in unroot condition.
after oreo update, i will advice you to do not root your phone as its a beta build and could cause your phone with boot looping
so install it without rooting..
press thanks if it was useful to you.

Yes, I tried rolling back through beta labs but have not received any updates.
Have you given it a go?

Right now i dont want to rollback, cause if we get rollback ota, then also u will lose all you data and roll back to fresh 7.1.2 with December patch
So i have arround 161 apps installed and re-installing them, it tooks a long time...
Secondly we manually can't rollback as there is no recovery option
So i would suggest u that, use oreo for now, in future when official oreo will be available, i would try to give its all steps, procedure, ota etc to install them.. till happy using oreo beta
Hit thanks if this helps u
Thank you mate.
Mine is certified, received Beta Oreo OTA.

Downgrading from latest firmware (ASJA)

.I just want to share my experience with the firmwares (G970F).
First im not against with any updates for the phone but I accidentally press the update for the latest which is the ASJA (Philippines Carrier) and i realize it comes with a new bootloader which is S3 and the stock is U1.
Is there anything I can downgrade the bootloader so I can downgrade the complete firmware also? I want the stock firmware the first one (March 2019) because of my own preferences and I just want to stay with it. Any ways to solve this even on the near future? Glad to hear some ideas. Thanks
I have a similar question. After the recent Feb 2020 security patch update, the bootloader has been changed from 3 to 4. I so wish i had not updated. Is there anyway to go back to Android 9 which has BL 3 via Odin? Help would be appreciated, thanks.
im not sure its possible, moving from u4 to u3. the only possible solution o go back to android 9, is to find android 9 firmware with u4 security bit

Downgrading from Android 11 Developer Preview 2.1 to Android 10

I updated to Android 11 Developer Preview by OTA on my Verizon Pixel 3 only to find that ADB sideloading and any normal path to downgrade has been disabled. Does anyone have any idea of how I would get back to Android 10 now? This variant does not have to option to unlock the bootloader.

As far as I know from my little research you can't downgrade without a unlockable bootloader. You have to wait till it goes from a developer preview to beta then you should be able to downgrade by opting in and take the OTA to beta then opting out and taking the OTA to downgrade back to Android 10, same as prior years.

As mentioned above you have to wait for the public beta and opt into that and take that ota. Then opt out and, if it is the same as prior years, you will get an ota to downgrade you.

Update... Android 12 can be rooted using Magisk Canary
I was able to take an OTA update to Android 12 on my BL unlocked, rooted, custom kerneled Pixel 3! I started the update accidentally by hitting that pop up reminder and after a minute of thinking what to do (i did not want to lose my data!!!), I held down the power button to force it to reboot during the update. I have had this work to stop an OTA update and restore it perfectly to previous state. Anyway, it did NOT work this time, and it updated to A12 perfectly! No loss of data, no loss of custom kernel, but i did of course lose root. Also.... when i checked the update version in settings, it wanted to update AGAIN, from Oct 21 to Feb 22 (which is just an Emergency Dialer patch). My phone still shows Oct 21 security patch in settings, but shows the Feb 22 firmware (...016.C1), which suggests the patch was only a tiny fix to the 911 Dialer and did not affect anything else. So this time i let it update, which i started to think was stuck or looping after waiting about an hour, but finally i checked the progress and it was done, requesting a reboot! So i rebooted it and behold, its now running final security update to the Pixel 3, and all i need to do now is root with Magisk and install SafetyNet Fix. Which is the ONLY thing i can think of as to how it was able to do a factory OTA update while rooted and BL unlocked! The SafetyNet Fix patch may be so good that it bypasses the Google security measure that refuses to allow OTA updates on rooted, unlocked Pixel 3s. Yup, on a GOOGLE PIXEL! I used to have to unroot and install the factory kernel to do an OTA sideload on my old Essential in order to update and not lose data, but i was told that you could not update to new Android versions without losing your data on the P3, so Ii just figured my Sept 21 A11 firmware was the final update until a phone upgrade. Anyway, just wanted to pass on the good news that you CAN perform a factory OTA update from A11 to A12 on the Pixel 3 WHILE rooted and unlocked and with a custom kernel, but I of course have to recommend you do so on your own, and if anyone has an unused or non-daily driver P3 that want to confirm this good news, please do so and help convince the disbelievers ! The ONLY thing i would recommend is that you have the latest "Android 12" version of SafetyNet Fix installed with the switches on in Magisk, which is what i had. Its the only thing i can think of that would allow Google's Safety Net to bypass the security restrictions. OK then, hope a few of you give it a try to show im not a nutcase, lol.
Question kind of related to this... Was the P3 kernel updated in Android 12 to fix that race condition that causes freezes if using systemless hosts? With A11 I always had to make sure I installed a custom kernel before Magisk and enabling systemless hosts to keep my P3 from freezing.

Question How to downgrade from Android 12 to Android 11 with locked bootloader?

There was a huge performance drop on Android 12, so I want to downgrade to Android 11.
Can I flash the file mentioned in this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/asus-rog-phone-5-raw-firmware-flash-file-fastboot-ww-rom.4268331/) on a locked bootloader?
Hello, I suppose you are on WW-31.0810.1226.91 firmware, so in order to go back to A11 you should use the provided firmware from ASUS, which is named ''Version Android 12 to Android 11''.
You download it from this page https://www.asus.com/supportonly/ROG Phone 5 (ZS673KS)/HelpDesk_BIOS/ and will have this name UL-ASUS_I005_1-ASUS-99.0840.2201.226-1.1.102-user.zip and you rename it to a later version like UL-ASUS_I005_1-ASUS-100.0850.2202.227-1.1.159-user.zip that is a completly arbitrary name but will allow to install an older update over a newer one. I can not guarantee this will work or doesn't break your device, because with RP5 is a matter of luck.
Wish You good luck and let me know.
