Wpt500 wikipad rooted jb 4.2.2

Hi there, I've managed to root Wikipad on newest update
Works only on windows7 ( I used VMware ) unless you find a driver for windows8
1. Install driver in package
2. reboot PC
3. make sure you've got dev mode enabled with usb debugging on
4. read README.txt file
readme states:
1. power off device; RECOVERY : once off hold VOL+ and power for 5 s; pressing VOL- choose fastboot protocol pressing VOL+
2. run 'insecurebootflash.bat'
3. once rebooted go to fastboot protocol again
4. in Windows process manager kill adb and fastboot .exe
5. run 'cwmrecoveryflash.bat'
6. in developer's mode on device enable USB debugging and connect your Wikipad
10. run 'run.bat'
you're rooted
cortex69 via insecure boot made by myself

If anyone wants to use it or edit it go ahead. I have only built insecure boot.img
if you're not sure about you can try just to boot to boot.img
fastboot devices
fastboot boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
If anyone who has 4.1.1 installed and rooted Wikipad and is able to download but NOT INSTALL update firmware and pull it out, I am waiting for that someone. I will gladly take over the firmware and do my best to make it customizable and rooted. Might even take a look at kernel

HTC 5G Hub - ROOTing

Hi everyone, posting some info about this device, which for us down here in a third world country help us a lot.
I´m sharing first the method I followed in order to root it, the one I got came from US Sprint.
like before, follow at your own risk
download the following folder, with the files root.zip and twrp-3.4.0-rtxspr.img
https://mega.nz/folder/1Ql1FRqD#gS3_4-btiyKMS3k0Z-WiBA
- make sure you have usb debugging enable and you have the bootloader also unlocked (this one is pretty easy)
- also make sure you have adb updated and working because you will need it.
1. Reboot the device into bootloader: power it down completely, then power it back on with a toothpick inside the reset hole in the rear of the device until you see something like the screen shot bellow
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. plug a USB cable to your PC and the device.
3. inside the folder with the files you downloaded before, do a right click and open a command prompt then type in the following command: fastboot boot twrp-3.4.0-rtxspr.img this will boot the device into twrp recovery.
3. from twrp go to WIPE -> Format Data -> type in yes This will wipe and erase everything from your HTC 5g HUB, do not reboot, just go back to the twrp main screen.
4. from the folder in your PC move the root.zip file to the HTC device, once done, go back to the HTC.
5. then now go to install -> you will see the root.zip file there, select it and click on install image.
6. wait until everything is done, once complete reboot your htc 5g hub and you should have now a rooted device.
