Provide every single detail how this can be accomplished; if it's secret then maybe try dming me some info or you can ask for my discord. I'd appreciate if there is a way out there + have the given information on how to do it.

There are 2 variants of A53 as far as I can tell. The U.S. variant which can't unlock bootloader and the international variant that can. Patching the recovery will only work on those who can unlock their bootloader, so it won't work on U.S. variants.

I love this phone and have had it for more than 2 years now, and have no plans of upgrading and will use it until it breaks down. Since I don't expect any updates any more, I was wondering if its worth rooting and flashing an Android 10 ROM (any recommendations?) this phone, especially since I want to use the Google camera that only works with Android 10. But as I read the guides and threads here, it seems rooting is more complicated than other phones.
So, is it worth it?

To flash a custom ROM you don't need root but unlocked Bootloader.
If you didn't obtain BL code when it was easy and free or cheap, that is now complicated and expensive (although still possible)- look at some other threads where people asked about flashing and it always comes down to the question about unlocking Bootloader

I see. Thank you. Looks like I'm stuck with stock then. Thank you! It doesn't make sense to me to root if I can't flash anyway since I won't be able to get Android 10. The phone has excellent battery life and I have no complaints about speed. Unless there are benefits to just rooting that I don't know about?

Did I miss, but you didn't mention the most important fact - what is your EMUI version.
Supposing you are on 9.1 or 9.0 since you are asing about Android Q....
For rooting you must also flash (e.g. Recovery-Ramdisk patched by Magisk to get root, on EMUI 9), so it again comes down to the same problem about obtaining the Bootloader code (locked Bootloader prevents Fastboot from flashing) - to get a picture why is it complicated to obtain the BL code, please read like:

You will not be able to do this without a PC, not in any kind of way, a PC is an absolute must if this is what you want to do, Period.
If there is a custom recovery for YOUR SPECIFIC MODEL NUMBER, and your bootloader is UNLOCKED, you can use a PC to flash the custom recovery using a program called Odin for Samsung devices.
It is very important that you verify that your bootloader is definitely unlocked, if it is locked when you flash the custom recovery using Odin, it will brick your phone and then it will have to be repaired. The repair might be simple or it might be very complicated, more likely, it almost certainly will not be simple, an easy fix is unlikely.
When you search for a custom recovery for your phone, do a Google search for:
"TWRP for (your specific model number)"
When you do your research to determine whether your bootloader is unlocked, you will have to use your specific model number and your specific android version/firmware build number, these are what will help you determine exactly which bootloader version you have and whether it is locked or can be unlocked.
Some Samsung devices can unlock bootloader by enabling the "OEM unlock" setting in system settings>developer options in your device's system settings. Do some searches to learn how to unlock developer options and how to enable OEM unlock.
Once you have determined that your bootloader is indeed unlocked, or after you have unlocked it(if it can be unlocked) and you have downloaded a TWRP.tar file for your specific model number(if TWRP exists for your model number), then you can flash that .tar file via Odin. Do a Google search for:
"How to flash TWRP via Odin"
That will give you instructions for how to use Odin to flash the TWRP file onto your device.

Got them both in front of me right now and I VERY much prefer the V50, but can it be rooted so I can use Titanium backup and system app remover etc?

First of all, your title is wrong relating to model number.
If your bootloader is unlocked, then you should install Magisk app manager. Extract the boot.img from the firmware and have it patched in Magisk. Transfer the patched file to PC and flash it to the V50 boot partition using fastboot. That should make the phone rooted.
If you have problem in extracting the boot.img from the firmware, I can help you.

Namely, you want to try the instructions that follow the "Magisk Root" subtitle. That thread is for V50 models without an official bootloader unlock method, so the first part deals with unofficial bootloader unlock. Since your bootloader can easily be unlocked, you shouldn't follow the guide step-by-step. Rather, AFTER unlocking your bootloader, your goal is to:
1) Get your phone into fastboot
2) Take note of the active slot - _a or _b
3) Back up the corresponding boot partition - either boot_a or boot_b
4) Patch the correct boot image using Magisk Manager
5) Write the patched image back to the correct slot on the device
This is not a detailed step-by-step guide, but rather an outline of what you need to accomplish using the information from the guide I linked above. This is just an observation as I don't have this model, and have never performed the procedure in this order. I used this guide to unlock the bootloader on a Sprint V50 and it worked for me. Therefore, if you attempt this, make sure to back up everything you can. I personally would be very careful attempting this since the risk of failure is fairly high.
I could try writing out more detailed instructions but I find your entitlement to an answer to be off-putting. Either way, I wish you luck with this, if you attempt it.

Saw your reply after I had posted mine. I completely forgot European models have firmware files available. It'd definitely be easier to extract a boot image from a firmware file rather than trying to get it from the device using QFIL, so your approach is better. I guess having the Sprint version got me into a scarcity mindset.

After coming from the V30 and how easy that was to root - you have scared the crap outta me with all those steps.
Just soooo wish it was 100% definitely possible.
I don't want custom roms oranhything, I just miss, in Order
1: Titanium Backup
2:System appremover
3: Adblock, proper adblock like i had on my v30 ( sniff, cry)
4: TWRP
Heck, I'd PAY to get my V50 rooted ;-)

Hi, I am not the one doing it. It is one guy called "Remote Unlock Service". He is very knowledgeable and he could help with other issues too. I used him once when I bricked my phone. Rooting and unlocking bootloader is actually easy for the ones that know how to follow guides.

I have a A125U that I can't unlock the bootloader of. There's no OEM unlock option in the Developer Options, there's no way to unistall system updates to try the date/time thing to get OEM unlock, nothing else I've tried has worked at all. I even tried flashing A125F firmware to no avail, of course. I was thinking, the BL file is the bootloader, is there a way to flash a bootloader that's already unlocked? Or is that not how this works?
If not, does anyone know how to get OEM unlock to show on the A125U? It's been driving me insane.

This is the biggest lie I've ever seen in my life!!! of course it,s possible ddd. Everything is possible especially this. Trick to your issue, is just that you have to corssflash to the Canadian firmware on your A125U which is the US model. But that doesn't matter, that's nothing because those 2 phones run on the same hardware so the firmware operates with both. Even the SW_REV value doesn't do anything in that situation. You can take the U models and flash it to W(Canada) but that's useless because then you're locked out of natively unlocking the PBL. Just grab the Canadian firmware and crossflash it via heimdall or patched Odin which is the same thing. Erase old NAND.
Also don't think that stuff like this isn't possible, of course it is. You just have to try harder and harder until you get the result you're stasifed with. There is community with a bunch of us enthusiasts (discord server link is on my profile). Don't be scarred to ask here on xda and there in the server. Also you can dm me for help, I'll help you, don't worry.

The one I'm looking at has the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T processor
I just want to be sure i can remove any factory installed apps, and can install magisk (or similar for tablet) and adblock.
i don't necessarily care about a custom ROM, but lineageOS or AOSP would be a good option, if available.

Not in my case. Without the ability to toggle OEM unlocking in settings, all efforts to unlock via fastboot (and everything else I tried) were unsuccessful.
i gave up and returned it.
Hopefully @jacobobbo has better luck than I did.

I'd use P11 Pro OG if you want to root it because I did it on mine to fix cable content stuttering problem
I don't care L1/L3 because I don't play Netflix on it

Yes, I tried several times. Nothing happened. It just doesn't unlock the bootloader.
There is another thread I've posted to about this with more stories from others.
I don't think there is much risk of bricking your device, but it is just unlikely to get rooted.
But, maybe you find something I did not and you will be successful.
I really liked the tablet, but refuse to be crippled by a manufacturer that pretends to be protecting me from ... I'm not sure what.
I rooted mine and it was a mistake.
I do not really gain anything out of it and now I cannot update my device anymore.
