Question how is gaming on emulators - Xiaomi 12

Simple question. How does the phone handle EMULATORS. Most likely Dolphin, maybe PS2 is it OK hitting 60 FPS, how is the temperature and battery please. As much as I appreciate any input, I am personally planning on playing ONLY emulators with a gamepad is any games. Thank you!

Well apparently the global version doesn't overheat. It does on my Chinese model. Personally I'd wait for a Gen 1+ phone.

Hello,
I just purchased Tronsmart MK908 and was wondering if anybody had experience playing video games on android sticks. I am thinking about getting Spectral Souls cause I really like TBS games. Have anybody tried playing this game or other cool games on these type of devices (doesn't have to be quad core)? Would keyboard and mouse work for most games out there?

deadhp1 made a review about this stick.
he wrote that:
"Performance:
I was able to run Antutu on the MK908 and scored a low score of 13844 and a high score of 14973.
All in all you can tell that this stick is blazing fast. Apps open instantly. Web pages are very fluid.
With 2GB of ram there is plenty of memory to spare.
The experience is much better than the previous dual core sticks. It's a great step up."
So it will have probably no problem to run all thos kind of games. Most of mouse and keyboard are compatible (bluetooth or wireless).
You can even use your ps3 or xbox remote if you get an app.
"Update on 19th April, the Droidmote can work on Tronsmart T428, tested by Geekbuying! so you still can use your PS 3 controller to play cool 3d games with this powerful quad core mini pc!"
T428 and MK908 are pretty similar!

Yeah I saw a few reviews out there but was kinda hoping that somebody who have used this type of device can tell me if it works well with games first hand.

I got it at geekbuying.com. It is also available at amazon.com. Considering that this device just came out like 2 weeks ago, there won't be any ROMs for it for a few months. Unless it becomes extremely popular http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Thinking of getting this device

Any thoughts from long time owners? (Anything you can think of) I'd appreciate it. I hardly play games on my phone so...
Would appreciate any replies. Thanks!

[Q] Help a potentially new owner please

Hey guys. Looking to get a shield now as I love android gaming but my JXD S7300 starting to look a little long in the tooth. Games are struggling on it now so time to upgrade.
I did have a Sony Xperia z + gameklip combo but it just didn't feel quite right so I decided to sell and just go Shield!
Firstly, does anyone know where I can get one in the UK without having to sell my car first? The overinflated prices are ridiculous. Also, hows game compatibility? Another thing that annoyed me about the Xperia z was the amount of games that came up 'not compatible' which is why I went back to my Xperia play. Was tempted by a JXD S7800 but long term the Shield is probably a better investment.
Any help would be most appreciated guys.

For the compatibility, a lot of new games are fully joystick supported, for the touch only games, the mapper app works great. And a lot of the non compatible games, can be easily sideloaded and work almost perfect, and some of them, with joystick support.

Pretty much every game on google play is compatible now that we have the gamepad mapper. They are working on an update for the gamepad mapper to fix fps games that just use the whole right field of the screen to look around and aim. I haven't looked at ebay prices if that's what you're saying about overinflated prices but that's one option. I believe there is a way to purchase it in america, have it delivered to an intermediate usa location then have them ship it to the UK. You'll probably need a proper adapter though since the UK is 220v.

Thanks for the replies guys. I never like stock mappers but am familiar with Tincore and have seen that it works with the Shield so thats good news. Do many games see the controls natively though like with the Xperia Play or Moga?
Yeah, ebay was what I was talking about kieso. I cant get one on there for less than £350, either from one thats in the UK already, or one that needs importing with customs taxes! Thats like $550 or maybe more (not sure what conversion rates are atm).
Thanks again

There are some play games that are natively supported. Some gameloft games and others but I couldn't give you a number. The gamepad mapper is nvidias creation. A lot of times when you open a game the gamepad mapper detects that there is already a profile available for that particular game and it prompts you to download it. I think (don't quote me on this) that profiles are automatically shared among all shield users. If you don't like the given profile you can edit and save it.

With my app you can simulate other controllers as well. (converting your gamepad into a different one) But i think it is just a matter of time that most of the games support a "default" gamepad.

Oh wow that's your app! Youre a talented programmer! I don't know what gaming devs are waiting on. We've been trying for at least a couple years trying to map to controllers. It should be a standard by now to automatically include controller support. Do you have any other apps in the works?

It is a rather new feature. I think I added it about a month ago. I think that Mode P could be better in some cases to get L2 and R2 recognized.

Is the new Nvidia Tablet worth it??

Hi, I saw today that Nvidia are releasing a refreshed tablet, with the same specs, but just without some features.
It doesn't include the pen (even though you can buy one for 14.99£), it only comes in 16GB (MicroSD), and there is no usb and plug with it, for me that is fine because I have at least 5.
But the price!! Only £149.99 for pre-order (199$ I think). Nvidia is pretty new to me (apart from their graphics cards), so is it really worth it? I plan to use it for streaming apps (If I can still do that since it runs Android) and stream BO3 and FIFA 16 from my PC and play with the controller (49.99£)
So the question to you owners, is it worth the £149.99 or should I get a Tab S2 for £250.00?
Thanks

Thanks, I was hoping that the performance was better, even though the S2 had 3GB RAM (TouchWiz ruins it).
How different is the UI from Stock AOSP Lollipop, and does it still have the Play Store.
Sorry that I ask such stupid questions, I do not want to spend over 100 pounds on a item I am not familiar with.

Its not only Touchwiz, as i know the S2 hasn't the exynos 7420 like the s6, so everything else isn't as powerfull as the K1.The Shield runs stock Android 5.1.1 with sime little gimmiks from nvidia, i find it even better as pure stock. And 6.0 should arrive untill the und of the year, but isn't really sure if.
I have shield tablet 1 and I can clearing say its 100% stock just like a pure nexus device, a little bit of unnecessary apps, nothing major compared to touchwiz. You can always root and remove things if you want.
The tablet runs flawlessly hardly experienced any lag in apps or loading of apps, compare that to touchwiz phone or tab, you will get lag of some sort
My honest opinion is that it's a great tablet, probs the best I have had. I have streamed a few games eg, MK10 and Batman Origins, run great and smoothly.

Yes, I live with the struggle of Exynos and its development... Pure stock however sounds amazing. I am sure to get it now with the controller. £200 for the tablet with a controller, how convenient. Probably have to add another £20 for a 64GB Class 10 MicroSD Card...
Thank you for explaining everything At least this has CM.

It should be since it has the same hardware. It might need like a little patch but I'm pretty sure it'll still work
I know some people probably wanted an upgrade with the new tablet, rather than essentially the same thing, but I think it would still be a great buy at $199. That's just an outstanding price point (and really kills the used market for the first tablet, Swappa and eBay sellers must be pissed).
It's still one of the most powerful tablets out there. I assume they've worked out some of the hardware quirks from the first model, and even with the first model the software issues along the way (like the crappy 5.0 update) smoothed out with the last couple updates.

I called Nvidia and they say it's the same, so I cancelled my order and will wait on the improved version with better screen and processor
It's the screen that's bugging me on this thing...every review of the new and old one said that it was hard to see in daylight. My most common use is on the bus, so if I can't read it in daylight, it's of no use!
At the same time, my current tablet is the 2012 Nexus 7 and it looks like it might have a worse screen, so maybe this tablet is a screen upgrade?
Bugs me that they make this announcement out of nowhere. Means there could be an upgraded version just around the corner and we wouldn't know it...
I'm glad managed to sell my replaced tablet for £180. Btw the charger of the tablet is one of the bests stock charger I ever had.

no better alternative with this price
I bought a nexus 9 2 weeks ago because there where no shield Tablet available. But I switched to the k1 and after 3 Days I'm still very happy to its the decision because yeah it saved a lot of money.

why nvidia use this processor caped to 32 bits? or this is what i know... and other tablets use the k1 with 64bits?

Performs great. No issues in my device of any kind.
Heat? What heat? Huawei have achieved very good heat dissipation with this phone. Not sure how but they have. It also plays games just fine.

No issues so far and it doesn't get hot as other phones after long periods of gaming.
According to AnandTech's review this phone is a monster in GPU benchmarks. Should not have any issues. (Can't post link though as I'm a new user, but Google it)
Games work fine except for Dream league soccer 2016. On firmware version 126 it was obvious that something is wrong with graphics, but it was playable. After upgrading firmware to 138 game keeps crashing after max. 5mins of playtime.

Hardware is not a problem, nor heat is, but you have to take in mind that many games developers don't support Kirin processors and when they detect a Kirin processor, they just display ugly graphics.
I have tried many games with Mate 9, and all those with Vulkan run flawless, but if you try some other games, for example, CSR2, you will see the difference against a Qualcomm device. Is matter of time until the developers start giving support to Kirin processors and/or enable high quality graphics for them.

Okay so i won't play Dream League Soccer 2016 then as I've a good interest in soccer but i will manage with other soccer games.
No problems with any games I play.
I play hearthstone for hours and hours at a time.
My phone never gets hot. I remember when I used to play that game on my nexus 6 the phone would heat up so bad lol.
