I succeeded in installing this ROM. The only problem I have so far is that the home screen won't rotate.
edit: I cure the home page problem by installing Open Launcher. Got Magisk working by downloading the zip to the SD card and then using Update in recovery to install it. It gave a signature error but I just clicked to install it anyway and it worked.

Can I install them just to check bugs? That is, I can use the rom with a very light use, like youtube, twitch and zingbox?
PS: I do not understand, the title says that it is the unofficial version 141 but later it says that you can not make a rom because of the bootloader, exactly what version of android has the rom?

Unofficial means, that it is not made by the REAL CyanogenMod team. It is currently running the stock 4.4.2 firmware.
I am posting download links for version 2.0, in a bit, because version 1.0 was very broken. And yes, you may use it to check bugs. I give you full permission.

The translation from Spanish to English causes the message to be lost, I installed version 1, I noticed certain problems when downloading the apps, since the settings when saying 7.xx, have problems installing, the same with gapps, does not allow installing The gapps neither version 7.1.7.0 nor 4.4, the rom is very good, light, could you add the Spanish language?
PS: I understand what is an official version of an unofficial version, what strikes me is because you affirm that it is the version of CM 14.1, when in fact it is version 4.4 of TW, could not you simply say that it is A rom of TW 4.4?

I think you can assume it is compatible. Just take back up before installing.
Just try to flash this ROM along with OpenGapps 4.4.x ARM nano and Gapps installation failed.
I get this :
Open GApps nano 4.4 - 20170205
- Mounting /system
- Gathering device & ROM information
*** Incompatible Android ROM detected ***
This GApps pkg is for Android 4.4.x ONLY
Please download the correct version for
your ROM: 4.4.2? (SDK 19?)
******* GApps Installation failed *******

- NO changes were made to your device
Installer will now exit...
Error Code: 20
- Unmounting /system
Updater process ended with ERROR: 20

I put "?" in the log because I have a strange unknown square shaped character at this place.
I wonder if it's linked and if it prevent GApps to be flashed because of a parse error.
EDIT:
Ok... super weird.. When I reboot the tablet nothing has changed.
I'm always on the same ROM I had before flashing (Acheron_ROM_2.3.5_APA1) despite no error have been logged and installation said everything went fine.
@secretwolf98: Can you write a quick installation guide for your ROM? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.. Thanks a lot!

Yes, but I recommend to make a quick backup of everything before you flash any CPU tweeks. In case somethings bad may happen.

The ROM already has pre-installed G-App's. So, it is not required to install any G-App's packages.

Cant use Gear S2 Classic with lineage OS

So, I've just installed Lineage OS on my phone.
Wanted to try a custom rom.
And when I try to connect to my Gear S2 Classic it states in a pop up.
The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way.
and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app.
Check your operating system and try again.
Any idea how to do it anyways?
Installing the safety net fix could help

Could you solve it ??? I have the same problem.
Adding in to say that I too have this issue with LineageOS and my Gear S2 Classic. I remember someone on XDA offered some other (maybe older?) apks which allowed it to work for a while but now it seems after updating LineageOS to a newer nightly build, the Gear stopped working again. I'm on a OnePlus3 running the December 15th nightly.
Hey any idea ? I have same problem
I have the same problem
Updating your build.prop, change all "samsung" references to "htc" and you'll be able to open the app... I'm still fighting to get it to see my Gear 2, though.
I have it working on my Samsung Note 3 with Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 which is Lineage 14.1.
I also had to change manufacturer and another build.prop entry from samsung to something else (htc in my case) before I could download it from the playstore (got the same message, probably due to Knox not being there anymore and therefore Samsung thinking I have a modified Samsung phone which is true).
After that I think I also had to download from apkmirror com.samsung.accessory_3.1.73.71102-317371102_minAPI15(arm64-v8a,armeabi)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk and com.samsung.android.gearoplugin_2.2.03.17121551-2117121551_minAPI18(arm64-v8a,armeabi,armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
It's working like on a original Samsung Touchwiz Rom now.
And of course you have to reset your watch to connect to your "new" phone.
Best regards
Amber
Hi, the only solution that helped me to resolve this issue is well explained in this post (more than 48 hours trying different solutions):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gea...cm-rr-t3743138
My 50cts (or 500 words)
I have used the following to be able to connect my Samsung Gear S2 to my rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 running on lineage-14.1-20180214-nightly-herolte
I use TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-1-herolte.img.tar) as recovery manager to install .zip files onto my S7.
I had rooted my S7 by installing the LineageOS su add-on (addonsu-14.1-arm64), but due to SafetyNet issues which prevented my Gear S2 to connect,
I removed it with addonsu-remove-14.1-arm64.
So I installed Magisk (MagiskManager-v5.6.0.apk) to have Root and to hide Root and (part of) the SafetyNet 'Failing',
so Play Store and other programs will not know it is rooted.
I installed the following Samsung apk files to get my Gear S2 working:
com.samsung.android.gearoplugin_2.2.03.18011941N-2118011941_minAPI19(arm64-v8a,armeabi,armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager_2.2.20.17113061-2117113061_minAPI18(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
com.samsung.accessory_3.1.80.80109-318080109_minAPI15(arm64-v8a,armeabi)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
Via Magisk Hide option I have hidden root from the Samsung Gear application so it would not abend with the infamous "your device has been tampered with..." error
Finally you need to edit the /system/build.prop file and change all 6 occurrences of samsung into [email protected] (or htc if you prefer that),
so the application does not realize the hardware is in fact a Samsung and therefore not running the stock ROM, the bluetooth connection
to the Gear S2 will fail if build.prop contains samsung.
(I use Total Commander editor to edit the build.prop file but I think any editor will be able to do that if you are rooted.
and last but not least make sure the permissions of the build.prop file are -rw-r--rr or 644 in Linux terms because the Lineage ROM
will not boot if the permissions are not 644).
I installed the Samsung Health application from the play store and that seems to work fine.

Hi,
This is the right link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/gear-s2-gear-manager-touchwiz-romscm-rr-t3743138
But you can search it : "Gear S2 (Gear Manager) works on non-TouchWiz Roms(CM, RR, Lineage etc)"
In case anybody has the same problem, this thread solved all of my issues. I have a Nexus 5 with lineage OS, and I could not get google play store to install the app. It didn't show up in play store on my phone, and online it said the app wasn't available for my device.
Fortunately [B @j to the 4n[/B] has made resigned versions of all three necessary apps (gear plugin, samsung health, samsung accessories) - and the Samsung Gear S3 is working flawlessly again.

And a direct link to the drive folder, just in case: https://goo.gl/WjqOhv

Thank you very much @j to the 4n.

Complete Guide to Root and Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Hi all.
Complete noob here - just wanted to document my journey for resurrecting my daughter's Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet to make it usable again.
It had stock rom on it (android 4.0.4) ICS and would not update. Consequently, none of the apps were working and basically it was ready for the trash.
Yes, it's 7 years old, but hey, why throw it in the trash - I thought I'd have a go at rooting and updating. It took me a couple of days but now it's done, it's updated to 7.1 Nougat and working flawlessly.
So here is my Journey - I hope it will help someone. Big thanks to all the Devs out there who have put countless hours into keeping this tablet alive (especially decatf who appears to be very nice person
This assumes no prior knowledge - but be warned - I am not responsible for any damage you cause to your device or if you "brick it". If that worries you do not proceed! By following the below guide, you will be wiping all data from your device so proceed with caution!!
The following worked for me to install Android Nougat on my device - mine is a GT-P7510 but I used the files for the GT-P7500 because when I tried the specific files for the P7510, they didn't work). You might have to get creative here and there to get yours to work!
1) Create folder on your PC / Mac computer desktop to put the required files in;
2) Download the files from here:
- Odin3-v1.85.zip - or do a search for it (this will be for "flashing" twerp onto your device)
- twrp311-20171009-p4.zip
- aosp-7.1-p4-20171005.zip
- P7500-open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20170416.zip
- GalaxyTabHacks.com_SuperUser.zip
- USB drivers if you need them are here: http://gizmoword.com/Files/2017/09/24/samsung-usb-drivers/
3. Instal Twerp / Custom Recovery
Before you can install custom software (Nougat etc) you will need to root the tablet. Before you root the tablet, you need to install TWERP which will allow you access to things like backup and recovery etc.
To install TWERP follow this guide and ensure you make backup before proceeding to step 4 - that way you can always go back to your stock image if there are any problems.
https://theunlockr.com/2012/05/11/h...od-recovery-on-the-wifi-only-galaxy-tab-10-1/
NOTE: in the above, it mentions ClockWorkMod (CWM) - However CWM did not work for me, so after installing CWM - I then installed TWERP (they basically do the same thing). I am not sure if you can simply install TWERP instead of CWM - but I installed TWERP over the top of CWM after I had followed the above guide.
4. Root the tablet: The following guide was very helpful to me;
https://theunlockr.com/2012/05/18/how-to-root-the-wifi-only-galaxy-tab-10-1/
and / or this one:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2361571
5. Now you should be ready to install the custom ROM (Nougat)
Follow these guides:
https://www.droidword.com/2017/11/2...10-1-gt-p7510-to-android-7-1-nougat-aosp-rom/
and here is the source code and infos;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-10-1/development/rom-android-7-0-nougat-t3471350
6. After following the above, I installed Gapps Pico (very small google basic apps needed for tablet boot e.g. playstore etc)
7. Reboot device and enjoy the setup. Congrats - if all went well you should now be on 7.1 Nougat and can download all your favourite apps.
You can also download and install other software e.g. Chrome browser optimised for your old tablet
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t/app-chromium-m56-optimized-tegra-2-t3550210
Best of luck! Note - I am not developer of any of the above. Kudos to all the devs.
I followed your directions and now play store does not work. Can you help me??
I had to experiment with this because some of the files gave me problems. Aside from the aosp-7.1-p4-20171005.zip which does work some the files don't. I ended up using TWRP version 2.8.7.0. (there is no official TWRP for the GT-P7510. Closest one is called "Picaso" you can search specifically for that one). Whichever GAPPS you decide to use must be an "open" Gapps such as, open_gapps-arm-7.1-full-20181106.zip.
After flashing there were difficulties. Google Play apps won't download or install. Google Chrome or any other Google related apps do not function. There are no developer settings. I even tried to download some Developer Setting apks of which none work. The ROM in itself looks and works good except for those bugs. Camera and flash actually work properly.

Hi all.
For a " Nooby " you have achieved an exellent result. I know a lot about PC's, But the Android OS is new for me. I followed your instructions to the letter. The end result is amazing, what a transformation. This article is very detailed and clear, also very well written. My compliments on a job well done. Thank you.

Android 8 or 9?
Great post. I'm also a noob but am going to give it a try since you've laid everything out so nicely. One question I have before getting started is do you think this will also work with the latest versions of Android (8 or 9) rather than Android 7? Thanks much for any advice before I take the plunge!

My curent opinion is that the Android 7 version works better overall.
thread: Complete Guide to Root and Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
ok so most of the roms i have tested are overcome v2.3, nougat AOSP 7.1.2 , cwm clean rom v2 and others on the GT-P7510MA and i must say they are awesome builds to try and ressurect the tablet giving life to it but these Roms seem to dont give it the core functionality of playing games or even being able to handle the YouTube app version came in the pico packages or downloaded from the play store, can you developers from GitHub please work on this tablet. It gives constant crashes on playing games downloaded from the app store or opening certain apps other from that you guys would make my day and i would generously donate cause you guys deserve every penny!!! please fix this and we are ok worked for me but everything except games and the YouTube app. People remember most of these developers don't have the tablets, time or cash so we have to test on our tablets, donate so there cup of coffee doesn't runs out and report to them effectively right before there coffee runs out!
I'm still using mine. There were some similar issues I had and if I remember correctly Google play was the main issue with other Google apps. I think and this is going on memory. You would install the ROM then the GAPPS, but not flash both at the same time. Or Google apps would lock up for some reason and give you some issue. So for it to work correctly you flash the ROM. Turned it on and let it load up. Then you would turn it off so you could start up the TWRP recovery, then you would flash the GAPPS.
But Channel 48 put out a video on this if you get confused. This is the easiest way.

And the update to 8.1 is also an option.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_bsR1Az3Sw&t=312s
Thanks @Casper Young I will take a look at the 8.1
It seems Channel48 has a lot of helpful videos. You can search for your exact model on his search page: for example, I am checking on P5110 here:

Hi, there, everyone
I've been trying to download the files needed, but most of the links no longer work. Where can I find the programs needed?

Multiboot support for devices with Android 10/11 ROM

I've recently started playing around with my phone's ROM. But mostly, ROMs are hit or miss and I dont really like the part where I have to restore the ROM back again.
MultiROM used to support this, but I recently read somewhere that both multirom and dualboot patcher are deprecated with new changes in Android P/Q. Is that true? If any of you know a link/page where I can get info on installing mulltiple ROMs on my phone, please reply accordingly.
I'm using a OnePlus 5 running on OOS 10.0.1 (rooted) right now

Thanks @jwoegerbauer . I tried the page. But it seems to be looping back and forth into the same page with no download option.

Yes
now we have 2 system partition but still only 1 data partition , i dont think thats possible yet
the idea of multiboot is loop mount partition image files, it works quite well for userdata partition, too. just the effective "partition" size is decreased dramatically

I followed the instructions here to put LOS 18.1 on the Uniherz Jelly 2:

So now the main thing I wanted out of the latter is working - a car sharing app works on the phone.
I attempted however to run another mobility app, which does electric scooters and while it didn't complain about Play Services anymore, it eventually opened up some kind of empty browser window with the following text in it:
Unable to process request due to missing initial state. This may happen if browser sessionStoraage is inaccessible or accidentally cleared.

"Cloud Mesaging" in MicroG is not switched on, but doubt it is that. I added no Location modules (backends) as the GPS seems to work so well. Everything is ticked under the MicroG requirements, but I tried to switch on permission to access location in the background on MicroG but it will not let me switch it on. I'm scared to update MicroG from F-Droid to a newer version, since I followed instructions from somewhere to install it from Magisk along with something else which patched the services.jar to spoof.
Any ideas as to how to fix this problem and what things to try, in what order?
