You don't think there is potential for an Unlock? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think keys were leaked?

Considering the source I wouldn't trust any of it.

Root...relock if necessary?

i read somewhere that the nexus 1 had a feature built in (hardware fuse?) that when the phone was unlocked? or rooted?? there was no way of relocking it with the stock rom?
does anyone know if this is the case with the evo? or will we be able to relock and reflash the sprint htc stock rom if necessary for insurance purposes, etc?
Thanks!
Due to a technicality, and assuming Sprint/HTC don't change anything prior to the June 4 launch, you will be able to unroot back to stock, as if nothing happened.

[Q] ICS

With ICS being open source once it goes live do you guys think they will unlock the bootloader for the newer transformer models?

Not really worried to much about the release date. just wondering if anyone thinks they will unlock the bootloader when it does come out.

yes, in dec i think they plan to release the key (if i did understand correctly)
Most of the newer transformers boot's are locked. i was wondering if anyone thinks ICS will unlock them so we can finally root the B70/B80/B90s Revisions.

The OS has nothing to do with the bootloader. ICS will not unlock the bootloader
Yes, but they can push the coding with ICS to unlock it.
nm.... There is no point to it anymore. You can't fix stupid

either way the likely ness of the code coming out before ICS is released is slim to none and just watch the prime is gonna have the same nvflash.

If that was the case they wouldn't have locked it up to began with.

Not sure. But don't know why you would want to. Can break root and block all root and boot loader unlock exploits.

We wait for the devs to check the updates for safety and then flash them. Have never taken an OTA in years. I like root and unlock. Don't want to be stuck stock.

I'm pretty sure you will lose root, so is that worth it to you? Or would you rather wait till all the devs are using the g7 base? Some are already on the G7 base right now.

Is that all that will happen? Or is there a possibility of bricking?
It could brick your phone if you've unlocked your bootloader. Otherwise you will lose root.
If you want to read all the discussion on the ota update do a search for it. There was umpteen threads about the same topic.

How do I know if I've unlocked my bootloader?
Last one, you have to use the search if you got more questions. Or wait for someone else to answer.

Yeah. Standard issue policy for AT&T and Verizon. And just for the interest (I know it's the offtopic), which CPU does AT&T's version of J727 use?
