Question Non magnetized cover of my new Tablet turns the tablet off (but I can't turn it back on) - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE

I bought a cheap hardcase cover with a leather like cover. So when I turn the cover all the way to the back the tablet turn off. Which I wouldn't mind. Excepet when I push the power button I can't turn it back on!!!
I need to unfold the cover in order to turn it on again. I did the following. I removed the case from the tablet and I place the tablet on top of the "top side of the cover" (it's black). This is the part that would "cover" or touch the back when I flip the cover around. And if I do this, again the tablet turns off and will not turn on again untill I lift it up. But I open up the case and place the tablet on the inside of the flip cover (it's gray part) then the tablet does not turn off. I can't find anything that is magenetized on the cover itself, so I don't know what gives.
The tablet works fine in all other circumstances and I'm afraid of just buying another cover because how do I know it won't happen again....
Any Ideas?
I would really appreciate any thoughts.

You could just disable auto on off in the Accessories settings. I doubt your case is actually non magnetic if it works like that.

Reply I solved the issue buy making to black bars (made out of carboard and the painted black) of 1 CM height and gluing them to the back of the case. The case if effectively magnetized (but I only figured it out because It say so in the description of the item that I bought) this prevented the top of the cover from touching the back of it, when flipping it and had the added bonus that I can safely store the pen and lay the tablet on the table with zero issue.

Placed a magnet under the mic/camera and the screen rotated.

I was wondering about the dock feature in other phones so I wondered if the dock had a magnet like the droid series phones. I placed a neodymium magnet and with the screen locked to portrait mode I moved the magnet around and in between the camera and speaker the screen auto rotated to portrait mode.
G2 still says it's not docked but I wonder if this could be something to look at for a car or home style dock.
Anyone else try this?
I placed a neodymium under my G2 when the screen was off and it turned the screen on
I think the phone uses a magnet to sense whether the keyboard is open or not. So its waking and rotating the screen b/c it thinks the keyboard is open, not b/c its going to dock mode.
If you hold a paperclip to the underside of the screen, the part that is exposed when the keyboard is open (but not exposed when keyboard closed), the paperclip will stick to the internal magnet.
I put an M5 magnet next to a powered down G2, and it got up, walked to the kitchen and made me a pastrami sammich.

Hammer meets nail. I tried the paperclip under the screen and found the magnet. 100% correct on your reply. Bummer on my half because I wish this had a docking feature.
Thanks for the answer!
when I stand my phone on the lower left corner of my laptop, my laptop goes into hibernation, and when i remove my phone, it wakes back up haha.

Anyone have an official S View Cover?

Is it meant to stay shut? Via. a magnet or something?
My mom just bought one and as soon as she closes the front, it pops up again (which means the screen becomes active).
Is this normal?
That's normal
Yeah I bought mine from Wally World on clearance for $5, so I basically had to buy it. It does open some though, sometimes enough to make it become active, sometimes not so much. The only thing I did, and it works, for a while atleast, is set something heavy on it (just the case, not the phone) for a couple hours.
I have an official S-View Cover and when I bought it I was thinking of buying the little magnetic clipfrom Spigen but when I put the S view cover and realized it stayed correctly closed without activating the screen, I didn't buy the clip. Howerver if your cover keeps popping up, you might wanna get it.
After using
After putting in my pocket and abusing it, lol. My case stays shut now. I did have the same problem as you at first.
I got mine from the samsung store it self and it works perfectly and nicely. That's normal for the S-View to be on active once you've closed it anyway it will turn off and put on standby after a seconds.

Nillkin Sparkle View

I bought this today for $9 http://www.nillkin.com/english/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=0&tid=0&cid=1&scid=&id=5000&page=1 and I successfully registered it and the app, but the problem is if I close the flip cover completely, it unlocks my screen instead of showing the kview. The kview appears only if the case is partially opened like 5-10mm. Seems like a problem with the way it interacts with the proximity or a service. Anyone got an idea?
Since it shows the smart view when not completely closed, I can't use the smart shortcuts..
I just bought this case after reading your post. It doesn't work correct for me either, I have a feeling it's because of the magnet placement, top left corner on the front of case. I cant use the case even without the app, as if I close it while screen on, it simulates a long press of the back and menu button.
I guess this is indeed the problem! Wasted myself $9 since I bought it from another region! I need to figure out a way to remove that glass plastic.

Bezel is magnetic?

The bezel must be magnetically activated and not mechanical. The side of my surface pro 4 has magnets to hold the pen and whenever I'm holding it as a tablet, the screen activates if I get close and as I move my hand around, the screens flip back and forth changing my display.
At first, it was hilarious, but it's actually getting annoying. Guess it's not really a question, or even a statement.
That being said, anyone that works in a hydro electric power plant, go have some fun.

Replacement button caps?

The black button covers/caps/pads have begun to fall off my watch. I managed to notice when one fell off and glued if back on, but the other has now fallen off and I cannot find it. Does anyone know where to get replacements?
Had the same issue.
Use some blck hard rubber, cut it in form and glued it on. it also has a structure on top, so looks very similar to the original one
