Question S22 Ultra and Android Auto (wireless) issue - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Does someone else also experience issue with Android Auto?
- When using the cable, it only charges, the S10+ works flawless with AA with the same cable
- When using AA Wireless, it is very laggy, while the S10+ is running smooth with AA Wireless
Any ideas how to fix this?
Saw similar issues on Google Support:
Compatibility with Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
Android Auto does not work on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and 2020 Škoda Scala
Update 25-2-2022:
I was able to connect with wired AA by using another USB-C cable, while the USB-C cable that came with the AAWireless device works just fine with my S10+.
But with AAWireless and with Android Auto wired, the screen is very laggy. I don't know if it is related to Samsung's hardware/software or Android 12.
Android Auto Known Issues (Updated: 2/21/2022)
To make AA work, try these steps:
Remove your new and old phone from your car's list of Bluetooth devices
Clear Cache/Remove storage data of the Android Auto app
Uninstall/remove updates Android Auto
Go to Google Play Store and install/update Android Auto
Turn on Passtrough option in AAWireless (works for me without, but it always disconnects after 5 mins, also on the S10+)
For Wired AA, try another cable, that worked for me!
For other detailed steps, try these (thanks to gadinaveh):

My problem is I use Android Auto wired - because my vehicle is dumb like that - and I've never had issues... used the 22ultra for the first time today (wired) and the Android Auto connection kept dropping... no idea why.

AA wireless won't even setup for me. I see my phone greyed out on my AA screen in my car, but it doesn't do anything otherwise. I haven't tried wired yet, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Gotta have AA!

Mine won't even connect wired. I plug it in and my car doesn't recognize anything plugged in. (T-Mobile Snap)

Android auto doesn't work properly on my pioneer head unit as well. It tries to set it up and the head unit ends up with a black screen until I disconnect the phone.

Same for me - does not connect to wired or wireless (thru AAWireless). Tried to remove all devices from

Same for me. my S21 was working great before on my AAWireless and with cable (Honda Pilot). I tried to connect with S22 - wired does not work, neither does wireless. Removed all devices from the car and retried - nothing still. very frustrating.
I did see something else that might be related. I can successfully connect my S21 to my Dex on Desktop running on my mac. The S22 will not detect the same Dex (same cable, same laptop). It will successfully work with an external monitor with Dex and with Wireless Dex on my Windows laptop.

So has anyone tried uninstalling AA? Then reinststall?

I have the U.S. Unlocked and after removing my S20 Ultra Unlocked from my 2020 Honda CRV the S22 Ultra connected without any issues at all. Make sure you remove the old phone and the Bluetooth connection settings for old phone before trying to connect with the new phone. Worked for me but then again this is the Snappy version. I have had it 24 hours and not had a single issue yet and I used Smart Switch to setup phone exactly like the old one so they look identical.

Thanks Paul for the info.
I used smartswitch but initially did not remove the phone from the car., when nothing worked, I removed all previous devices and cleared storage/cache for AA on the new phone.
Did you (confirming)
1. remove the devices from the car
2. remove the bt connection from the new phone
am i missing something?

My old phone was in there twice in the settings and had to remove both entries. But I didn't do anything to the new phone. I just plugged it into the entertainment port with a cable and made sure Bluetooth on new phone was on and the car recognized the new phone.

Started the same steps on the other honda (civic 2019) and was able to connect with Cable (yay ;-) ).
I then tried to use AAWireless, and while it shows successful connection (phone shows "use AA on your car screen", AA icon shows up on the car screen), AA does not open on the car. In addition, when going into audio when AA is the selected audio source, I see a message of "Loading..." and is stuck there.
Any idea or suggestion will be appreciated

Just received my s22u unlocked. Aa working fine wired, and wirelessly on my Dodge

With AaWireless i had the same issue. Until I cleared storage and cache of Android Auto and then Disable Enable it, and then uninstall it. Then i Installed/updated it from the store and it worked with AAWireless, unfortunately still not working wired. Will try removing new phone from my car and then plug in with usb cable.

I have no issue with the connection but the battery drain so badly when using Wireless AA. I did connect through Motorola MA1.

After I got the cable to work, tried the AAW, did not work (I did remove it from the car andn bt earlier), so not sure why this did not work. Before that I cleared storage from AA, and running the latest beta for AA (7.4)

It seems that AA should NOT be transferred from the old phone - after I cleared cache data for both AA and AAWireless it started working albeit VERY slowly - not sure what's up with that. If you are getting just a blank screen - wait for awhile it might come up with the setup screen.

I cleared storage andn cache, and then tried AAWireles (with the AAWireless device) after successfuly completing the cable connection. I was able to connect to the AAWireless device, the phone had the two persistent notification that AA is connected, the headunit showed the AA icon, but when pressing it - AA will not open. So not sure how to fix this or whether there is a step I am missing

Also having problem with aa wireless. Works great with pixel 6 pro works great with s21 ultra. S22 ultra loads in the car but it will not show up on the screen and I can't figure out why. I have deleted the old phone, factory reset head unit. Cleared catch cleared storage. tried many other things. My car is a 2019 Honda Accord. Wire connection works fine

Used wired AA fine today with the S22 Ultra
My current car doesn't allow for wireless AA

Pioneer AVH-4000 NEX connecting with App Radio and ARUnchained

Okay, so instead of hijacking the ARUnchained app I decided to create a troubleshooting thread for fellow Pioneer 4000NEX owners to get their phones to connect with basic App Radio and ARUnchained.
In your replies please try to include the following of your phone
Model Number:
OS Version:
Kernel:
Type of MHL cable used & WHERE you purchased it ( I think this is a big issue as well that I have read on many forums lots of bogus connectors)
My setup is the following and these are my Phone specs:
Galaxy Nexus (Roger Canada)
Android Version 4.3.1
Cyanogen mod 10.2.1-maguro
Kernel - 3.0.101 Franco Kernel Knightly
Here is my Car Start Up Procedure.
I make sure BlueTooth is on my Nexus.
I start ARUnchained
Turn my car on and make sure the BT is connected for phone calls.
I plug in my MHL Cable (MonoPrice MHL adapter)
I hit the Home button to go to the layout to bring up which source you want to choose and I make sure i see the HDMI lit up
I can see that my apps button on the touch screen is available
I got into the apps with mirroring automatically.
I hit back or exit button on my touch screen of the deck to exit out of appradio and it goes to mirroring.
This worked for 2 days but all off a sudden I am getting the Red X and the pointy finger. For No reason. So now when I leave work I will try rebooting my phone and trying that again.
I don't think this phone has KNOX.
Please Help!!

Did you ever find a solution to the problem?
I am running...
Model Number: SPH-L900 (galaxy note 2)
OS Version: 4.4.2
Kernel: 3.0.31-1561791
Cable>> CableMatters MHL converter from Amazon (Thinking this could be the main problem)
The only mods done to this stock note 2 from Sprint are: rooted and disabled KNOX. I initially had a bt connectivity problem, where after running aru and attempting to connect it would just show disconnected after about 10 seconds.
I somehow got this solved after multiple reboots and permission fixes through rom manager. I was also having the same problem you are having now with aru giving me the proverbial finger. The fix permission and reboots also solved this problem.
The problem I am having now, is the touch functionality is not working on my HU. The bt stays connected, rotation works, and everything mirrors smooth, but I have to use my actual phone. It let me calibrate the screen during the initial setup, but when I double tap mode the only thing that changes is the toolbar to the left goes away. Touching the display on HDMI mode only activates the HUs normal functionality (down arrow in top left corner to change input, etc.)
Have you or anyone else had this problem? Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this? I've been at this for some time now an getting pretty damn frustrated.
Thanks in advance!

Huzzah I figured it out!!
Okay here is the issue. My phone already had AppUnchained running in the background in a sleep function. See that little icon next to my phone missed called? Thats the BT function waiting in AppRadio. This means that as I hooked up my phone. AppRadioUnchaine was already running.
Notice how my functions on the right side are greyed out? That's when you get the Red Finger of X.

Here is my Screen Mirroring but look.....Greyed out menu on the left Meaning again Red Finger of X
Here it is running in the background on my phone as well..in the background
Here is what I did :-
I put it in Hibernate using Greenify.
Then I fire up ARU and hit the Home Button and looky here, My HDMI is lit up and my APPS is hilighted now meaning it can run Apps off the phone
I Hit Apps in the Head Unit and volia No Red Finger and I know that because the Left menus is now available.
I exit the App on the HU touchscreen. And Voila full touch screen controlling my phone. You know you will NOT get the Red Finger of X because the Left Menu is now touchable.
Any question ask away. But I think this is the issue. APU not closing properly. Seems that the HU Likes it only on a fresh new instance of ARUnchained. otherwise Red Finger of X. Remember , You might have to unplug your phone a couple of times for ARUnchained to start up and detect it. It's something to do with the MHL Cables.
I forgot to mention on this unit that you have to set the function of AV Input to OFF, or else you will get a side menu on the left (even with screen mirrored) every time you attempt to touch the screen. Also Clicking on the HDMI just tells the HU "Go Show me whats being displayed" and every time you go to touch it, you will get a AV input overlay which is useless.
You have to get it to be in Apps mode for your touch and screen mirroring to work.
I've found that all you need to do to get the touch working... is plug in your phone first and THEN connect your bluetooth. Then touch works fine every time. You don't need to keep restarting ARU.
Also, anyone know a way to get rid of the left side menu so the phone mirroring and touch is full screen?

I tried this and had no luck. The 4000NEX starts to demand a BT or HDMI Source. When I say HDMI source it goes a mirrored screen in with an AV output overlay which is not available to touch control.
I retried my method this morning, Made sure ARU is in Hibernated states. Hooked up my phone to the deck via BT and then plugged in my phone to the MHL cable.
I hit the home button, then went to the Apps touch button on the HU and voila full mirroring with touch control and no Red Finger of X.
This could be something to do with my Nexus (2011 Model) and this deck but it is confirmed working with these steps.

I have a Note 2, Installed the Jedi ROM last night, Mirroring and functions work great with genuine Samsung MHL cable. Flawless.
I would lean towards getting a Jedi ROM working on your phone.

Damn Chromecast is not compatible with both my Nexus and Note2. So looks like my cable method is my only choice
Well I am using a OnePlus One now. I was able to use Chromecast (connecting to my OnePlus via WIFI Hotspot) and was able to mirror my image . I am able to get touch working etc but the only issue now is the image is too big on my 4000NEX. Anyone have an idea?
Greyed out HDMI
I have the Avh 4000nex. Everything works well with the system. The only problem I'm having is that the HDMI sign is greyed out whenever I plug in a HDMI cable. I've tried 4 different HDMI cables all high speed but it won't connect with my phone at all. I have the Galaxy Note 2. I do have a pioneer bypass installed but it works fine. What can be the problem?
Hi all,
Today my AVH-4000NEX got installed and I came across this thread. I need a advise.
My understanding is that I need to buy one of those bypass cables to be able to use MirrorLink while driving?
Also, other then original Samsung MHL adapter (ET-H10FAUWESTA) I will need usb cable (kind that is not only for charging) ?
Just want to get the list of things I will need in order to get it to work.
TIA
Kooljazz. I'd talk to the installation guys. This doesn't sound right. What are you plugging in on your side of the cable? mhl?

I have a MHL and a Samsung AllShare cast hooked up. I called a pioneer rep and they were saying that it doesn't work because phone is running 4.4 kitkat. The head unit only works for 4.3. I also successfully rooted my phone ad it still doesn't work.
I used the Jedi X Rom so that I could use the Franco kernel. It allows the phone go to permissive SE Linux. Stock is okay but fire me a PM to test this later. Last I used my Note 2, I had it working perfectly with Franco kernel and Jedi X Rom. Stock Note 2 Rom is very locked down. Pioneer are dumbasses and will never firmware this to work. They want you to buy a new deck.

I have an HTC one with HTC mhl adapter. What settings should be used in the head unit? I got to input settings, smart phone, and then I choose "other" in place of iPhone. Below is an option for USB, HDMI or BT Wireless. Should I set it to USB or HDMI? Also, should I be selecting the "aha" source or "HDMI" source? HDMI source just shows my screen on the unit with no control. I have latest at unchained and root. Thanks in advance.

USB Audio

Hi all,
Just brought a Pixel 32gb coming from the 6P. With the 6p, I'm able to use USB-audio to my cars radio no problem. However, with my pixel - it doesn't want to work. Upon connection, it cycles through the USB modes (Charging, PTP and Audio Source,) which interrupts the connection process. With the 6P, it's a constant 'audio source' USB mode.
I should mention, that the times I've got it working, I've had to wait for the connection to time out, and cause my radio to throw up an 'Android error' (unable to connect.) Then I simply went into developer options and selected 'audio source' as the default method. When this worked, I wasn't able to use the radio buttons (pause / play and seek.)
Nexus 6P - 7.1 dev preview
Pixel - 7.1
Radio: Kenwood KDC200UB.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance,
Chicken
It doesn't sound like your head unit is demanding "USB audio" and I don't believe it should.. It sounds like your 6P is connecting as a hard drive and you're able to use the head unit to control the tracks. This is how pretty much all after market head units work, I don't believe there are any head units that act like a USB DAC (straight thru USB audio controlled solely by the phone with an analog/digital output).
In my case with my DEH4800BT, my Pixel automatically mounts as storage and the head unit reads the music content and is able to play/pause/skip directly from it. This should be what happens in your case, I had to play with mine a few times in order to get it to work.
Edit: I'm going to play with the OTG adapter and a male/male USB cable to see how my head unit connects. Just as an experiment.
I can assure you, my 6p is not acting as a hard drive due to the radio not supporting MTP. It's a Kenwood KDC200UB. It's using USB-passthrough, and yes, the radio does support it and many others do too.
You may search the radio google, and you'd find a feature called 'hand mode.' This allows Google play etc to pass audio.
You are right, I should have done the research. However your head unit is using AOA and not USB audio in the traditional sense, it's allowing the head unit to be a human interface device and not (just) a DAC .
Your Kenwood head unit technically requires the use of the Kenwood Music Play app however my pioneer also states it needs an app but I don't use one. I did have to cycle my device into midi mode once before it worked you could give that a try or maybe your head unit needs a software update? Are you using the cable that came with the Pixel?
Thank you tho, I never would have fully understood AOA if you hadn't suggested that I look it up.
Last firmware update was last year, the nexus 6p wasn't on the supported device.
It did try to connect to an accessory, which I thought was strange
mine did too the first time, which is why i shuffled thru the usb modes. When i was reading about AOA i found out that its now depreciated, so there wont be anymore updates for it.

I'm sure AOA2 is still being worked upon, no?
Just an update: popped into a car audio Centre, and tried roughly 40 headunits. Didn't work on any of them. I'm almost positive this is a 7.1 issue
I believe you need to change the way it connects to your USB port in the car. I changed it from charging to reading files. Pull down the notification bar and click on the USB notification to select how it connects to the car. Worked for me.

I'm guessing your using MTP connection, which does work. However, after trying 2 pixels, and a Pixel XL - as well as having someone in America try with a similar head unit - it's definitely a pixel bug / issue.
To reiterate, MTP works fine - but using Audio out VIA USB does NOT

While I understand what you mean by MPT, you might be confusing some people since it isn't listed as such on my phone and probably for others too. It is listed as "Transfer files" as in my screenshot below. Perhaps it is a brand specific issue related to proprietary software, or a mod or app installed. I bought mine directly from Google and have never had this issue once File transfer is selected, but my pixel seems to default to "Charge this device" every time even if I change the settings.

What is the drawback of starting using the method that works and stopping using the method that doesn't work?
A moment of nostalgic want for the old days?
If AOA is depreciated, 7.1 has forgotten it so it is not technically a bug but unsupported.
I get it is annoying if you're losing features to use the current working method of MTP / file transfer. Is that the case?
If AOA is depreciated, you may need to adapt to continue.

It works on the 6p with 7.1 Dev preview.
Google's guidelines for nougat were that devices MUST be compatible with AOA. It's a bug.
Having this issue too and it sucks. I had a Nexus 5 and a Pioneer MVH-X380BT and it sounded great with the usb cable. Now with my Pixel my deck says error-19 every time I plug it in. I've tried going into the dev settings and changing the usb configuration and the app SoundAbout and it didn't make a difference. It was a pretty big difference in sound quality on the Nexus 5 between usb and bt and it's lame that the Pixel doesn't have the same audio support.
It would be amazing if Google backported aoa or someone made a mod to add it. That would be worth rootingng my phone for.
I also tried to connect my phone through USB, but it's not successful. Why google didn't provide an easy solution for such a long time?
I have a Pixel 2 and cannot get Audio out of phone to AOA device.
https://source.android.com/compatibility/android-cdd.pdf
In documentation it reads:
SHOULD NOT implement AOAv2 audio documented in the Android Open Accessory
Protocol 2.0 documentation. AOAv2 audio is deprecated as of Android version 8.0
(API
level 26). (page 102)

Has anyone gotten Dex to work? I have tried on two Macs, and a Windows machine. It doesn't launch when I plug in my phone, and if I manually start the app, it doesn't show anything. If I unplug the phone it closes.. I do not have Dex disabled, so, I don't know what's going on? Any suggestions?

start the dex program on pc/tv
choose where you want it displayed
plug in the usb or choose wireless
authorise the connection on your phone

Windows 11, working fine.
I've gotten to work on Windows 11 and a Samsung smart TV (both wired and wireless).
You have to make sure Link to Windows is turned off to make it work with Windows.

S2AVDC - Verizon. No it doesn't.
if your device isnt registering in windows for file transfer, it appears that you have a driver/usb issue, try updating samsung drivers, and using a different usb port, if that doesnt work try checking your device manager, plugging and unplugging to see if it updates when you plug it in, we can go from there fo further tests if device manager doesnt update
edit....
gernerttl i noticed that u quoted my message to gettinwicked, so this message was in response to that

Make sure you are using a good USB cable. Cheap charging cables do not always have all the pins wired so data transfer will not work.
I have the correct drivers installed on both my Windows VMs. Transfer and ADB work fine. I also have good USB cables. I tried a couple just to be sure. I'm not sure I have the driver for Mac though? I'm having trouble finding it online too. If someone can point me to a place to grab that, that would be great.

I can see the phone on my PC when connected via USB. I thought you meant connecting wirelessly.
In both cases it tells me to turn off Link to Windows.

yeah strange, as you can see in my screenshot above windows link is on and i can connect just fine
For me wirelles Dex for Windows works very well. I just downloaded Dex for Windows and installed it on my computer. Windows 10
I connected my phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi network and that's all I did. I have not installed anything more, except that the option in Advanced features/ Samsung DeX s active.

I had this same issue with my Note 10+. It would only turn on DeX if Link to Windows is turned off.
Which variant are you using? For both my Note 10+ and my S22 Ultra, I am on the Verizon variant.
SP1A.210812.016.S908USQU2AVDC
To be fair. I don't use DeX all that much when using my Dell desktop or Surface Pro 6. When I'm either of them, I prefer Windows Phone Link to DeX. I like the ability to receive and respond to text messages. It takes up less screen real estate, where as DeX takes more space and, for me, doesn't provide anything I can't do on Windows.
I prefer to use DeX on my Tab S7. I have the keyboard cover and I can connect to a monitor using USB-C to HDMI, or wirelessly if it is a smart monitor or TV with Miracast built in. That combination works fine when I am someplace that I don't have my Surface Pro, but need more than just a tablet environment.
my device is in my signature, i dont use dex or phone link either really, i prefer to use teamviewer accross all my devices apart from my 8k tv which i just send and receive via bluetooth using the tizen inbuilt ui

What version of Link to Windows are you on. I'm on: 1.22041.186.0-beta.
I signed up for the beta program. I'm wondering if that is why I can't run DeX with Link to Windows turned on.
Update: I noticed that Link to Windows was just updated and now I am able to start DeX without turning off Link to Windows.
Update to the update: I tried to start DeX on my phone this morning and it said I had to stop Link to Windows. I restarted my PC and before I connected via Phone Link, I started DeX and it started up.
Evidently, you can run both Phone Link and DeX at the same time, but you have to start DeX first then Phone Link. If you shut down DeX then you have to disconnect from Phone Link to restart DeX.

Can you pls describe why you would want to run Phone Link and DEX at the same time. They both are doing almost the same thing but in different ways. I'm a long time DEX user and just tried out Phone Link again after a few years and noticed it is much improved over the old Link to Windows version. I think MS and Samsung got it right with Phone Link and I'm considering just not using DEX anymore. Phone Link connects without any effort (no connecting cables) and I don't need to be concerned about DEX stations or multi-port adapters. Plus, I always hated to have my phone constantly charging while using DEX. It still appears to not work when using a VPN on my phone though.

I don't normally use DeX and Phone Link at the same time. I usually just use Phone Link. If I need to transfer files to or from my phone, I just plug it in and copy then via Windows Explorer.
Normally, when I use DeX, it is on my Tab S7 with the keyboard cover.
My testing was originally to help the OP troubleshoot his problem.

Both phone and TV are connected in the same wifi network.
I can make Dex work between my phone and my PC
I can make Dex work between my TV and my tablet.
Why the hell my phone-tv Dex isn't working?
Plus, i remember that I could make it work (not used much, TV is new) and suddenly this started happening.
I tried reseting dex app cache, as well as phone cache and dalvik.
Also tried formating the TV. Didn't tey formating phone because of the trouble it is.
The phone seems to remember the TV. How can i delete Dex data so to start freah again? There is no option in settings.

Try rebooting your phone into recovery mode and clear the cache partition then connect again. If that doesn't work, try turning off your WiFi on your phone; a WiFi network is not needed to use DeX or Smart Mirror.

Try connecting to your TV via Smart Mirror. Based on your OP, it works on your PC and it works on your tablet, but not your TV. It seems to be the TV end, not the phone end. You should be able to clear out the devices your TV. If not, then try factory resetting your TV.
You also try cold rebooting your TV.
How to discharge or cold boot your Samsung TV
When your TV is not working properly, it could be the product of a strange glitch caused by a residual electric charge. This guide will show you how to discharge your TV.

Smart mirror gets the same problem.
The phone-pc works. Phone-tv doesn't .
However tablet-tv works, that is whats weird...
I thought it was a TV issue, but it works with my tablet, so idk what is.
Already tried factory resetting tv, didn't work. Also tried removing from power socket. Gonna try cold reboot with the remote, but I don't expect this to work.
I was asking how to make Dex app from the phone to "forget" the TV, but idk how.

I don't think there is a way to make DeX "forget" the TV. I don't think DeX actually "remembers," nor cares about what it is connecting to. It only cares if the connecting device is compatible with it.
Since you are getting the same issue with Smart Mirror, it still leads me to believe it is the TV end.
Do you have access to a different smart TV? If so, try connecting to that one and see what happens.
If Link to Windows is turned on, turn it off.
Unfortunately, I can't replicate the problem. I have an older 2016 Samsung smart TV and I have no issues connecting with DeX or Smart Mirror. I've also connected to my 5 year old Samsung smart 4K BD player, and 6 year old Sony smart BD player.

I think it's on the TV end as well. But why does it work with my tablet?
I don't have another TV to test, just my PC. I have in total 4 devices with Dex: PC, TV, phone and tablet.
Dex seems to remeber because it says "previously connected" under the TV name.
Is there any way to get a log to see whats causing this issue? Idk how to filter the logcat for this situation.

Ok. I THINK I found out how to clear DeX's settings.
Go to Settings -> Apps
Tap the sort icon to the right of Your Apps.
Toggle Show system apps on and tap ok.
Scroll down until you find:
Samsung DeX
Samsung DeX home
Samsung DeX System UI
From there you can clear cache and data. Caveat to this. You can clear cache and data on Samsung DeX Home, but only clear cache on Samsung DeX and Samsung DeX System UI.
Let me know if that works.
Update: I just cleared cache and data on Samsung DeX Home and cleared the cache on Samsung DeX and Samsung DeX System UI. When I turned on DeX all my devices were cleared. It was just like I turned it on for the first time.

That I don't know. It would be so much easier if you had access to another TV.
This may sound like it's coming from left field. Is Link to Windows turned on? If so, turn it off. Link to Windows has caused me problems. It wouldn't let me turn DeX on at all.

I don't think it is a router setting, but it won't hurt to check. If it was a router setting, then it should have worked with the phone's WiFi turned off. Somthing is not letting the wireless traffic go through properly. It could be an app on the phone or on the TV.
Do you have Developer options enabled? If so, did you make any changes from the default settings? In particular the WiFi settings.
I did find this. But it doesn't seem right. You don't need a WiFi network for DeX to connect to a smart TV or monitor. That I have already stated and shown.

Also tried connecting the TV and phone in same frequency 2.4 GHz amd 5GHz. Didn't work for both.
I went to the mall today and tried to connect to a samsung tv in a store. After granting permission from the tv, got the same error.

Question Android Auto stopped working after Android 13 OTA

Hi,
I just updated to the Android 13 OTA on the S22 Ultra (VZ, USA). All of a sudden my android auto stopped working. Wireless completely. Before AA wireless would connect to my car within a few seconds of my head unit booting up. Now it just waits at "Connecting". It knows my phone is available, but doesn't seem to want to connect.
If I plug in the phone, it works for all of ~20 seconds before disconnecting. If I just simply reconnect the cable it works again, 20-30-40 seconds before disconnecting.
Before the 13 OTA, it was working perfect, no disconnects on wired or wireless. So I 100% know it's not the cable or my headunit. Literally last night it was working, now it's not.
I checked sleeping apps on the phone and AA or Maps is set to never sleep/not optimized. Not sure what else might have changed.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled/cleared cache etc of AA on my phone. still nothing.
I fully reset my headunit to factory settings, I've done the network reset on my phone multiple times. I'd -really- like to avoid having to fully wipe my phone and try from there...
Has anyone run into this on their newly updated S22? Tips?Suggestions?
Thanks!
Me too. S22 ultra. Car is Mercedes A250 e. It's only a few days I have the car and I was able to connect only with usb cable in Android 12. I don't know if it is a limitation of the car not to be able to connect in wireless mode. Yesterday after OTA upgrade to android 13 I get the error unable to connect to android auto in the MBUX of the car.
