Accessories Sharing some good deals for case and screen protector - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Hi everyone.
I thought I'd share some good deals on some accessories that I bought for my S22 Ultra. These are for owners that are located State Side.
- AmFilm Galaxy S22 Ultra UV Gel Screen Protector [amazon.com]becomes $19.79 after 50% coupon code and 5% discount after using coupon code NZEOAM9J. Make sure you choose sold and shipped by TECHMATTE and not Amazon before you checkout or the coupon code will not work. As many of you know AmFilm along with Whitestone are the top 2 glass screen protectors and rarely go on sale that much anymore. This one will sell out quickly.
- Ringke cases on Amazon have a 30% code that you can clip bringing them down to $9.79 and up depending on the kind you choose. I remember a few years ago these could be easily had for $5 but times have changed..
- Ringke [2 Pack] Dual Easy Film protector is currently $13. Not really on sale but it's cheaper than the AmFilm. I've had this on my N20 Ultra for 2 years now and it has been flawless. I haven't even had to use the second one that comes in the pack.
- Nillkin Galaxy S22 Ultra Case is currently $15.29 after clipping the 10% coupon code. This is also one that's been on my N20 Ultra for a long time now and it has survived falls by protecting not just the phone but also the raised camera housing with its excellent slider cover. I'll probably grab this for $8 on Aliexpress since I won't mind the requisite 30 delivery or so it usually takes from there and rock the Ringke in the mean time.
Hope this helps!

Let me share this screen protector from Gadgetshieldz which is good at protecting the display from damages and has self-healing tech that heals the scratches that occur on it! So I'm getting this for my upcoming S22 Ultra phone.

Good deal? They are overpriced.

Paid 2x for Amfilm TPU protector but it is worth it! Not lifting on corners or edge and been a couple days with using it with case on.
Ringke protector lifts off the edges sadly.

Amfilm TPU is worth it, Ringke TPU is not as it lifts of the edges/corners.

@randylahey786 Thanks for the recommendation. Which screen type did you go with for the Gadgetshieldz protector from the 4 options below?
Also, did you order the body protector from them as well? I've ordered both the Samsung S-View Flip Cover and the LED View Cover cases, so I'm guessing I'll go with either Casefit Matte or Ultra Clear.

What's people's thoughts on tpu VS glass protectors these days? Used glass for past few generations of phones but seems like glass is still not great with the on screen fingerprint sensor?

If you're using a case you can go with the case fit option and I ordered the Ultra clear for the front and matte protector for the body. It sticks well I'll share some images.

@randylahey786 thank you for sharing that info. I was just about to purchase them, but alas, shipping to Chicago is more than $30 I didn't realize they're shipped from India, and don't seem to have any tie-ups with vendors in the US. I'm guessing I'll go with the Armorsuit potentially, but I did like the fact that Gadgetshieldz had a matte back protectant.

Yeah, the shipping cost is there when it comes to foreign countries, you can try applying the discount given on the website because it was less than $15 for me to Canada cause I went with airmail delivery and will get the product after 20 days!

I heard the Note 20U film protecters work on the smaller 6.8" S22U. I will test tomorrow when my device arrives.

SGP Screen Protector - Ultra Crystal

hey guys! i've began ordering things for the S4 in anticipation of it releasing here shortly.
today i got my screen protector in the mail so i thought i'd share because SGP has done something i haven't seen companies do for a while in regards to Android devices [that i've owned, anyway]...
there are cutouts for the earpiece and home button. yep, you read right. there are cutouts.
after i receive the phone (likely thursday) i'll happily update the post with a photo of the screen protector installed (unless someone beats me to it!)

nice. i opted for just clear. the SGP rep said it would have the highest hardness rating of them all. i wanted to make sure i wouldn't get little dents on the screen protector from accidentally tapping with a fingernail or etc.
may end up getting one of the glass ones just to check it out
Don't most screen protectors have cut outs? And I was able to get a free one when ordering the Neo Hybrid. I currently have one on my Nexus 4 and they're great screen protectors. You can easily go six months or maybe longer without having to replace them.

Yeah the Ultra Crystal does have the hardest rating. I have used them before on my iPhone and Nexus 4. I got the Oleophobic one to reduce fingerprints and smudges. I was looking at the Glas.t screen protector too but since its a 1 time fit, I will probably end up f*ing it up and getting angry!
I had the Ultra Nano and Ultra Crystal on my S3. The Ultra Nano had oleophobic resistance but it got scratched up in weeks because of the 2H hardness rating from Spigen. The Ultra Crystal didn't get scratched at all, but it seemed to really degrade the image quality much more, and the fingerprints accumulated really quickly. I'm hopeful that the Ultra Oleophobic will be the perfect one with a 3-4H rating.

no, they don't always. the S3 didn't on most. the Galaxy Nexus didn't on most. i think the S2 did.
in particular, SGP did not have cutouts. on my S3 sitting in front of me i have an SGP Oleo and it does not go all the way around the home button and earpiece.

i was thinking the same thing about the Glass.t. if you mess up, though, you can send it back and they'll send you a new one. just means you might not have anything on your phone for a little while unless you have a spare lying around.

this. so much this. i didn't know how to explain this, so thanks. but yes, i have a ~2H rating on my S3. it's a Nano. it has little dents in the screen protector all over. you can tap the screen lightly with a finger nail and it'll do that to it
the Ultra Crystal is totally clear so it shouldn't degrade the image unless you meant because of finger prints. i wipe my phone off from time to time already so it shouldn't be a problem. i'd like to know how you're liking the Ultra Oleo when you get it in. thanks!
I had the Ultra Oleo on my Galaxy Note 1 but it still smudged and scratched too easily.
Gonna go for the Ultra Crystal this time and hoping for the best.

How is the fit and finish of the ultra crystal? Any image degradation? Any complaints?
Any chance we can get those after pic too
I'd like to know as well. I'm particularly interested in the image clarity. I bought the Ultra Fine...while the anti-fingerprint matte finish is EXTREMELY impressive the image degradation is not. So it looks like I'm back on the hunt for a new screen protector.
in sgs2 with ultra crystal almost no image degration if any at all.

yeah any time you get a Matte protector, there's going to be a good amount of image degradation. this isn't a Matte protector so there shouldn't be any even though i believe the description says there is. it should be totally transparent on the phone.

I got my Ultra Crystal on Friday and applied it. So far I'm perfectly happy with it as the fit is spot on. As far as image quality......WOW! I had not viewed the screen on phone without the Ultra Fine protector as I put it on directly out of the box before I even put the battery in.
Needless to say the Ultra Crystal truly showed me how beautiful this screen is. The jury is out on how tough the protector is. I'm a pocket guy so I should know in about a month.
Can anyone that has installed this screen protector see if it interferes with any of the sensors/gestures/etc? I noticed it doesn't have cutouts for those (though it might not need it). Boxwave screen protectors though (similar to the SGP ultra-crystal in my experience) leave the sensors (and front camera) uncovered:
http://www.boxwave.com/samsung-gala...-crystal-2-pack-for-galaxy-s4/bwpdd/cvt-zmgm/
I got the ultra oleophobic and had it installed on my s4. in my opinion, it's one of the best fitting screen protector I've seen. the cut outs are spot on, leaving very little gap differences between the screen protector and the exposed area. here's a picture of it. pardon me, the lighting wasn't good for a clear contrast.

I can't say I've noticed any issues with the sensors. Hand gestures all seem to work fine as well.
can anyone confirm that the ultra crystal will work with a TPU case? on the S3 some screen protectors get peeled up by the tight fitting edges of a TPU..
Specifically, i bought this case:

Verizon's S6 Tempered Glass Screen Protector

I haven't seen mention of this, so I thought I would share. Verizon is selling a tempered glass screen protector for the S6 on their site. I'm not sure of the brand, but it claims to be only .2mm thick, possibly the thinnest I have seen. I have ordered one with my pre-order and can report when it arrives:

I didn't have to pay for it (corporate plan) so that wasn't a factor for me.
Not all glass screen protectors are created equal - the .2mm thickness would be worth the extra price for me if it is really that thin.

I don't think you'd notice the thickness once it's on. I've got a .3 on my Note 3 and it's like it's not there. It's perfectly flush with the home button ... no accidental presses
No need to pay that much for tempered glass. I've had tempered glass screen protectors below $10 that are just as durable and thin as the ones that cost more than $20

on the Note 4 and the S6, the screen curves - because of that - most glass screen protectors have a halo effect around the edge. Icarez released a .15 glass protector for the Note 4 and it was the only one I have seen (and I have looked at a bunch) that did not have a halo.
The reason? The thinness of the glass screen protector - the thinner it is, the easier it can adhere to the curve that slopes at the edges of the screen.
None of the glass screen protectors cover the entire screen -even the .15 thin one - but with a case on it, you can't really tell.
The .2 thin one from verizon may just be thin enough to avoid the dreaded halo effect. I havent seen any thin ones lke this for the S6 yet so I am going to try it. I do have the Icarez .15 on my note four and I LOVE IT!

The POINT Here is that the Note 4 and the S6 are different from the NOTE 3 - that is why they get a halo effect when you use a typical glass screen protector. If you don't beleive me, go ahead and waste your money buying a one of the usual glass screen protector for your new S6 and see what happens -
I discovered on the NOTE 4 that a very thin glass screen protector (.15 thin) does not leave a halo effect - it stands to reason that if he S6 also has a curved screen - like the note 4 - then if you use a thin glass screen protector on it, it won;t have a halo effect either. I know for a fact that if you use a normal style glass screen protector, you are very likely almost guarenteed to have some halo effect. I am not sure if the .2 thin screen protector that Verizon is promoting is thin enough or not - but I am hoping it is. From my experience (and that of many others on XDA) is that most screen protectors of .3 thinness (most of the ones on he market that I have seen) is too thick and will cause that halo effect.
The curved screen on the NOte 4 and the S6 makes it very difficult for the typical glass screen protectors to adhere to the edges - so you get a sort of HALO effect all around the edges of the Glass Screen Protector. (By the way, I am not talking the really severe curved screen of he S6 Edge -I am talking abut the normal S6 - and the way the glass curves all the way around the phone on the edges.
When the glass screen protector is very THIN you are not as likely to get the HALO effect because the thin glass screen protector is more flexible and less rigid than the thicker screen protectors.

I bought the screen protector from Verizon - and it is a very good one - there is a very slight halo effect - very slight - but it is the smallest halo I have seen from any of the glass screen protectors for the S6 - my experience on the note 4 was that until you get down to something like .15 thin, you are likely to get a halo effect with any glass screen protector - at .15 the glass is thin enough to avoid that from happening - but I don't think there are any .15 thin screen protectors for the S6 - as such, I am happy with Verizon's (Icaraz) at .20. Very nice.

LG V10 Tempered Glass Screen Protector

I just reviewed the LG V10 Tempered Glass Screen Protector from Supershieldz®. Nice Fit, no bubbles, no lifting edges. Check out my review
MOD Edit: Referral links not allowed and have been removed
Got mine and it installed perfectly. It covers the view screen area but i do wish that it goes all the way on both sides since the side rails are elevated. Would have been easier to align it with the sides flush. The screen is flat so i dont think there would be any halo effect. Ill live with the gaps for now.

Did I see correctly that the protector goes over the two front cameras? Don't most screen protectors leave a cutout for the cameras? Doesn't having a glass placed over the the camera deteriorate the camera quality and the pictures it takes?

I actually did want to try out the SuperShieldz screen, but for whatever reason, they aren't available through Amazon Prime. I can't wait much longer for a screen, and the expedited shipping ended up being more than the price of the protector itself. And since basically every other screen is out of stock, I jumped the gun and ordered this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0154RS59Q
Truth be told I'm not going to expect a whole lot out of this one. I'm just getting it to tide me over until Zagg comes out with a protector for this phone, because I'm really not comfortable using the phone without one.
But who knows? Maybe it will end up being a keeper - it even comes with a lifetime warranty. I'll be sure to let everyone know if it's good or not when it comes in.

But who knows? Maybe it will end up being a keeper - it even comes with a lifetime warranty. I'll be sure to let everyone know if it's good or not when it comes in.

I have Supershieldz bought from eBay.
Installation is rather easy, but it has some space on left and right sides.

Pleson now has TGSP for V10 and it looks pretty nice !
I ordered the Tauri. Not sure on the brand, but will give it a go and see.
Spigen is $10 at eBay.
This is what I ordered, it's hell waiting for it to get here.

Wow those thin edges over the cam usually break, wonder how it will hold up. Nice design tho.

Wow, 0.26mm is indeed the thinnest, just wonder will it be very easy to break and can it still protect your phone , as other brands usually don't make that thin
Don't forget the easy clean (oleophobic) layer.
Some fade rather quickly that makes the surface pretty nasty.
So far Supershieldz looks OK.

Awesome Hard Back Cover: NILLKIN Super Frosted Shield

Price: 7$ (incl. shipping)
Link: Mod edit
What I liked about it:
It protects the phone but still keeps it slim.
All ports are fully accessible, I can plug in any cable; other cases can't do that.
feels good in the hand
looks good

Update:
I have been using it for a bit now and have to add that it gives good grip.
The glass back of the Xiaomi Mi5 slippy and this case makes it better.
can you make some pics from bottom and top? wondering if it protects frame from scratches and drops.

I think so, only bare metal is visible.
Also, I ordered some more, that fully cover the phone. Will post pictures as soon as those arrive + one NILLKIN Bluelight-filter thing Tempered Glass is on the way and should arrive soon, will post that one too.
What's on the way to me:
Mod Edit
I wont make a drop test, but can tell you that the sides of the phone are covered and so are the edges.

Cool, thanks. Will try to order this case
Just got today nillkin soft case, fits perfectly, buttons really comfortable. Price 7$ with free shipping (mine delivered in 2 weeks from China to Lithuania)
Here's link: MOD edit
I have very similar case (Nillkin frosted) for my HTC One (M7) and it is great. It did saved my phone couple of time including dropping it on a concrete surface from 1.5m. The design is very similar and will protect the screen also (it has raised edges which should absorb the hit). One disadvantage is that it doesn't protect the bottom/top side of the phone (where connectors are placed) so after a few years I got my phone heavily damaged in those areas (I'm not particularly gentle with this one). Ordered similar one for my Mi5
i already put nillkin tempered glass on my Mi5 and wear it a nillkin frosted shield.
but the frosted shield push the tempered glass, and the tempered glass is opened so often.
do you have similiar case like me? how do you fix it?
Confirmed. This case feels awesome in the hand!

so far it didn't destroy a single one of mine. Using it formore than two months now and had no problem
I did change the temepred glass inbetween, tried one of those "blue filters" -> what sucked. So went back to a normal tempered glass.
But anyway: did not break my tempered glass with this thing.

Mine wasn't placed properly, bit more one edge.
I've had a Nilkin hard shell for my OnePlus One for 2 years and it's still in great condition and the phone is immaculate because of it.
Glad to see they make one for the Mi5!
You should definitely check the Ringke Fusion case as well. I got the Fusion smoke black for my black mi5. It looks good with this one too and it feels well protected. I replaced the Nillkin Nature TPU case which I had been using The Nillkin Super Frosted shield looks good too though.
I also have the Nillkin tempered glass installed (for about 3-4 days ) and I can spot already some minor scratches on it. I never had the phone in the same pocket with my keys.. I hope it will last more than 4-5 months before it needs replacement..

I am using the same NILLKIN super frosted Shield, no extra thickness whatsoever, feel premium, and above all, retains the beauty of Mi5.
Today, I have ordered Graphene Armor tempered glass protector, with a minor doubt whether it will fit or overlap with the back case.

How do you like it? Would you recommend?
People should put temperate glass with nillkin frosted on MI5 for perfect alignment.
No issues here.

Hello, Nillkin producted their 0.2mm glass already (H+ Pro), also available for back cover. Here is the link to their goodies:

No offer yet, but they will come
Nice, they got good looking accessories
Like the Samsung Galaxy S7, its front and back is sealed in glass, protected by a coating of Corning's scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3.

Nilkin have great screens as i have heard from many reviews before.
I have tried many of TGSP from different manufacters but Nillkin is my favourite. Always right fitting, great price and nice coating top of glass. Second favourite is British Orzly but they are bit more expensive.

its a tad smaller and leaves a tiny gap round the perimeter of the phone. I ll try to post a pic to see the result later.
I still havent found one tempered glass that fits perfectly on curved displays yet. Tried most of them on Note 7, iphone 6s, Note 4 all suffer of that tiny gap.
The only solution that works 100% are the wet application screen protectors, but they are not glass sadly..
Just purchased the nillkin protector off Amazon (http://amzn.to/2csOs7V) Will report how it looks once I receive it tomorrow!

Nillkin Honor 8 Tempered Glass
Received everything today! Package comes with the front glass as well as a plastic film for the back of the phone.
The glass tries its best to go as far to the edge as possible with minimal halo effect.
I'm completely satisfied with it! Pictures attached.
Paired this protector combo with an iVoler TPU case from amazon (http://amzn.to/2cPFJcD) photo of the case also attached
Overall 10/10 satisfaction with this protective setup! Total cost for me was about $22 dollars on amazon for both items.

Totally agree. Its such a shame. Doesnt seem to be any option unfortunally =/
Hey guys I have an update!
SO my nillkin protector cracked about two days ago, right where the edge starts to curve. I contacted the seller on Amazon and they are sending me a new one no charge. Thing is, it was coming from china instead of Amazon Prime, so I ordered this off of eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/182275291510
I didn't realize this at first but, the Nillkin protector is only a mere 0.2mm thick! It's probably while the edge chipped and a hairline crack appeared so fast... The Nacodex from eBay is substantially thicker, probably either 2-3 times as thick.
I then measured them with my cheapo calipers, the nillkin was advertised to be 0.2mm, and I got a reading of ~0.21mm. On eBay, there was no specification as to how thick the Nacodex was, and so I measured it to be about ~0.5mm.
Hopefully the Nacodex lasts alot longer than the Nillkin!
Photos are attached.
In the photo of them side by side, the nillkin is on the right while the nacodex is on the left.
P.S: I also purchased this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/232058327844 just to review it, as it was the cheapest one I found on eBay (Coming from the US)
I've bought the Ultimate Shield tempered glass screen protector.
Will report back if you wish
