[?] 80% threshold charge limit on rooted S8+

Hello,
I need to obtain some clear information regarding the 80% limit charging.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus SM-G955F (EU), and I'm about to unlock its bootloader in order to root it.
Question : does the 80% limit apply to the Snapdragon (US) or Exynos (EU) or both model ?
Does this limit also apply to newer Samsung devices (s9, note 9,s10,note 10)?
THANKS

As far as I know the 80% charge limit applies to Snapdragon ( US ) models.when rooted. The Exynos version does not have this limitation.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but it seems that this concerns Verizon S8+ phones, so US version, so Snapdragon One.... Am I Right ?
For record, I own a eu s8+ powered by an Exynos chip

I've rooted every phone since the note 2. You need exynos for rooting and ROMS. Some Snapdragon variants can be rooted too.
Sent from my BlackBerry Bold 9900
Do they have a root our for the Verizon Samsung note20 Ultra

Which experience do you have and which smartphone you can recommend to me?

realme phones have good developer support (if its a famous one)

Well snapdragon Samsungs that America variant (second hand)like XXXXU, XXXXT, XXXXU1, XXXXT1, XXXXP can not unlock bootloader and hence cannot flash roms. Only XXXX0 does the job.
Xiaomis are fine if you have patience to wait 7 days for bootloader unlock.
I have no idea about realme phones as I do not buy them.
Famous exynoses are also supported like the 'unkillable' Galaxy S II I9100.
ya but you know how hard is exynos to develop any ways it depends.................
The commom agreement is Huaweis, especially those released after 2018-06, are out of the selectable list.

because unlock bootloader forbidden Offical way and can be only done unofficially with patch below 2018-06
Most important for me is: Root, Privacy, VoLTE and VoWiFi (and I love LineageOS)

then blacklist GSI roms only devices like J7 Pro(j730) as those broken volte and some even sim
blacklist old phone like S II too as those probably does not even support lte.

Privacy means for me = AFWall+, AdAway + that I can set permissions for the apps, i.e. the LineageOS is already enough for me, that already brings a lot with it

Roms

Hi,
I want to get my bootloader unlocked for snapdragon version but I there are not many roms available.

Snapdragon can't be rooted past bootloader 2. As far as roms go, there are only stock roms, but somewhere on the forum its mentioned about GSI roms, but VOLTE is broken because its always been a samsung issue and not much work being done. I'm sure there are a few people out there working on personal builds, but nothing released to the public that I've seen. (Aside from Exynos)

There should be no reason why rooting would affect the camera in any way.

Z Fold 3 disables camera and I found a user here with A22 5G which had camera not working after rooting
Can you link that person here? Could be just that person with the problem, never heard of anyone else having a rooted A22 5G with camera issues. Assuming you'll use Magisk, try it out and see if the camera is affected. If it does happen for whatever reason, you can easily uninstall.
Came by this thread by accident.
For what it's worth:
I've got an A52s 5G which has the same behaviour (it's also a known 'feature': https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-root-samsung-a52s-sm-a528b-ds-with-working-camera.4408963/ ).
Managed to get it working by following the steps above (Should be more or less the same as for the A22 I guess), but I also had to install magisk hideprops and force basic authentication and spoofing the device fingerprint as a Samsung S21.
EDIT: it's not the rooting which affects the camera not working on A52s 5G, it's the unlocking of the bootloader.

Guide to root Galaxy A22 5G, unlock bootloader and flash official firmware (noob friendly)
Your warranty is now void. If you root your device, Your KNOX status will be tripped. You can still pass the safety net after you root if you follow the instructions. I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards although it is not...
