[HELP] Changing ROM - Lenovo Legion Duel Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I have Legion Duel for about 2 years already with 12.0.073 ST and didn't get updates even once. I bought my phone from online in hongkong and delivered here in middle east. Eversince my problem was I can't make calls, everytime I tried making calls the network is crashing and losing signal.
Then recently when I met my friend here who bought his same phone online here in middle east he's receiving updates and didn't encounter any issues regarding his phone. Right now, he does have 12.5.338 ST.
Can I change my rom from 12.0.073 to the same with him 12.5.338? And how?
Thank you in advance.

[Q] Telephone from another EU country not working???

Is this some kind of standard now, that the phone I bought in Germany is not working in Slovenia and it is not locked in any way.
This is my third HTC phone with this problem. The GSM network is not found and sometimes it is but the signal is weak. It is like the reception would be weak. So 50% of time I am unaccessable (no networks found) and half time I have one line in the signal strength.
I tried SIM cards from 2 of our operators and same problem :-(
Is there any setting/program I could try, I can not believe the radio part of the phone is country specific.
First phone was HTC ONE X, didn't work, when I bought it in my country it did. I bought now HTC Rhyme Lila for my wife, same problem. I exchanged it, the new one is not from France but from Germany, same problem :-(((
Any ideas please?
I have importet 2~3 phones from spain und I had used it in germany without problems.
Last time i was in the UK i got problems but it was a german sim card in the roaming mode and in that case i had problems too. No signal or if I had signal i could not make a call.
Well but if you want to use it for the rest of life in your country have you think about flashing a rom? A custom or a rom of your country? It could help. But bevor flashing read a lot how to do it. In this forum are alot of tuts.
Regards

No network access on 3UK pay as you go

Hi guys!
I have recently got myself a galaxy tab 2 with 3g and as a personal carer I've been using my tablet to get me around to find pharmacies and addresses etc. I had been relying on this for the last week however this morning I was shocked to find three uk has blocked my 3g. I received an error message stating that the sim card is supposed for mobile phones, not tablets. Considering I use this as my phone I cannot understand the purpose!
Does anyone know of a way where I can trick my network into thinking this is a phone?

Go to 3 and ask for a new SIM (not MicroSIM) and also tell them about your problem

Lumia 1020 (RM-875) no calls on LTE

Hello all, hopefully somebody can help me with this, since it's making me crazy.
I have one 920 and recently got a new 1020 from Movistar (Telefonica), RM-875 with 64GB if storage. Everything was great until they launched their LTE network, and when I got a new sim card, I found out the ROM the phone has, comes with 4g-LTE disabled. Off course I did what anyone would do in this situation: I flash my phone with another ROM and I got my LTE working.
After a couple of days I noted that I was only getting SMSs telling me that somebody called me. Then I tried to call myself from another number and it went straight to voicemail. When I changed it to 3G again, calls worked fine. I know LTE doesn't support voice, so the phone should get a "notification" from the network to change to 3g to get the call, but my phone is not reacting to it. I tried the same SIM with the 920 and this one works as expected, when on LTE it changes to 3G to get the call.
I've spent the last two weeks downloading new ROMs to see if any of those can help me, with no luck at all. My last resort is to flash back to the original ROM and bring it back to the shop to see if they can help me. Oh and it's not hardware problem since a friend of mine with the same provider and the same phone, he is facing the same issue.
ANYTHING you can tell me to fix this, will be greatly appreciated, since is like a disappointing to not being able to be on LTE with my 1020.
Thank you!

Samsung G925-F repair - Emergency calls only

Hi everyone,
Few months ago, I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S6 EDGE sealed, nobrand, simfree from a shop here in Italy
After few weeks the phoned stop working only in the telephonic part (Emergency calls only - Not registered on the network) because the Italian operator Postemobile blacklisted the IMEI code for theft
(Evidently the phone had got outlaw origin and the shop cheated me; the IMEI results as blacklisted)
I brought back the phone to the shop and they, without giving me any advice, rooted the phone and changed the IMEI code, to make the phone work again
I got the phone back working, keeping android5, with root, different IMEI and different kernel (called "S6_UniBase_NOg8_v2 glthedingo # 1")
At the moment, the electronic IMEI code of the phone is different from the one wrote on the box
The phone kept working since, when Android 6 went out, I wanted to update the phone (the phone couldn't be uploaded with root) and to remove the root
I flashed the Android 6.0.2 firmware with Odin3; the updating was successful
Since the moment i updated to Android6, the phone stopped working with the telephone part (Emergency calls only - Not registered on the network)
One minute before i did the update telephone calls were working and after the update telephone calls didn't work anymore
I can't understand why the telephone stopped working
(Maybe the changing of IMEI code need any modifications to work and updating the phone i lost these modifications)
- How can I get phone calls work again?
Thanks

You should have backed up your old firmware in case something happens. (and it happened)
Anyways, you sure you flashed the correct firmware for your region? If so, try using Smart Switch.

Problems with reception in Australia

Hi there!
I am experiencing some problems with reception in Australia. I just bought a Honor 6x in Spain and it was working well there with my Spanish operator. I arrived in Australia and I am using my Telstra SIM card and I am having some problems. I can use my data and send and receive SMS, but I can not receive phone calls most of the time and if I try to make a call I normally can not. In many areas in town I have no reception at all. My girlfriend has a Huawei Y6 and is having the same issues.
Last year I had a Motorola Moto G3 and it was the same, I thought it was something with that phone, but now I see it might be something different. People from here having different kinds of phones donĀ“t look like having this problem and friends from other countries never told me something similar. I do not know if it is something with Spanish phones here or if there is any setting I could change.
Please let me know if anybody knows anything about this! Have been looking around in forums and having found anything helpful. I really need some help here...
Thank you!
