Question keep bluetooth off! - Moto G Stylus 5G

Ive had this phone for 3 months or so now and so fat i love most things about it. But my most major anoyince with it, is that i always have to turn bluetooth off twice! i cant find a setting anywhere for that. Is there a way to disable that feature? I got mine though Cricket if that makes a difference on anything.

Auto lock when phone put in pocket

Hello everybody
Tried searching the forums for something that will auto lock my HD2 when I turned it UPSIDE DOWN(not face down)and put it in my pocket.I saw someone mention using such a feature in a post somewhere but couldn't find it again.
Then found Gsen and Gyrator but they both look like kinda old and I'm afraid they'll mess up my phone so I prefer to avoid em,unless you can correct me on this.
Help anyone?
Auto lock!!!
+1 on this. I would appreciate this too.
yes, that would be so nice, useful tool !
bouncy bouncy...nobody knows?help?
Haven't really seen this around, but I think it'd be kinda hard to make since so many factors that would contribute to you putting your phone in your pocket would make it lock in moments you might not want it to. Gsensor would be a good one, but also proximity sensor would be another good way for it to know when it's in your pocket.
Trying gsensor!
I want the thing to lock my phone whenever I put it upside down and since upside down doesnt come unless I put it in my pocket(And I did see a post bout it I did!) it seems a good choice.I'll try the proximity approach too.
Thanx!
this is the only app I am aware of : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624206, drove me mad though only used for a day
Well then, after trying all the mentioned software above I'm willing to settle for something that will allow me to turn off my screen manually without disconnecting the call, thus allowing me to call people using my bluetooth headset without having to walk with phone in hand like an idiot.
I go much cheaper this time!Help?
I think this works with "touchlockpro" !!
PocketShield can do this. You can even set if its set to the proximity of cloth or a pouch-lid to the phone or if its just put upside down into a pocket.
Just quickly google it or search this forum!

[Q] Bad ESN Mesmerize, few questions

So I got one for $34, delivered today. Looks perfect other than a couple scuffs on the bottom corners. The seller said it was working fine (despite listing saying it was for parts/not working). I don't have any usable cell service where I live without getting a booster and antenna of some sort, so I don't care about activating it. I plan on using it basically as an internet tablet to check email, etc.
I do not have an sd card, charger, or data cable yet, they should come tomorrow. Since the battery is close to dead, I can't find out much. It turns on fine, gets to the home screen and has that "too many pattern attempts" screen (screen looks perfect, not a single scratch by the way) with the google login. I know not to try a full hard reset with the battery being about dead, but I have tried to bring up the menu option so I know how to get there when I do get it charged. I have tried every key combination method I can find with no luck, keys ~seem to all be working from what I can tell, read in the comments that a few people had no luck. One time I got that screen with the android and shovel, waiting for download. I was wondering if that is from the factory, or if that means it's been rooted?
Basically, all I really want to do is restore it to stock for right now. Maybe something better down the line, I'd just like to use it for now since I've never even really seen a smartphone before, because nobody has one with the poor cell service here. I have the EE19 build downloaded, and I see the restoring to stock thread. I want to do it the right way. So, if it has lagfix installed, I see I need to disable that. Any other things I should know about? I was just wondering if it sounds rooted, if I need to do something else if it is. I don't have a lot of time on my hands to do research, although I did a little already, and I have a very limited internet connection so I can't download a lot of things, I wasn't expecting to need to do this when I communicated with the seller.
Thanks for any advice or tips.
Edit: I was also wondering the best way to go about checking the ESN, or if I should try. Like I said, I don't care to activate it on US Cellular, but if I'd resell it or something. I know I could use PagePlus, but the Verizon tower is 30 miles away, so not much chance of that working well either. I don't think it should be stolen or anything, but was thinking if the account ever got settled or anything....
Well I got it, posting from it now. Only problem is unsuccessful download errors in app market, after download is almost complete. On wifi. I tried every solution I found for that with no success. Other than that, no problems.
Tried every fix for the market, deleting cache, changing permissions on vendor.apk, etc. Seeing it was a common problem with few solutions that work, I flashed CM7. That worked great, apps installed fine, but of course wireless cut out constantly, not usable for long. Saw that was common, tried everything with no luck. Went back to stock, then airplane mode, now market works fine. It fails whenever not in airplane mode. So I'm sticking with this for now.
Can't activate anyway, but best I saw was -104db, but mostly no service. My LG tracfone does a little better with reception.

[Q] Using Tablet As Phone?

Does anyone know if Verizon will be allowing us to get a tablet with a phone number? I'm not up for a new phone for a couple of months yet (I've got the HTC DINC) but I think that it would be nice to just get a tablet in place of a new phone but still be able to make calls from it.
tablets arnt made for calling people.
Technically it should be possible to make calls on a tablet since they obv have speakers and also a mic (currently used for voice recording) but i dont know if anybody has found a method for it yet. The only problem with having a tablet for a phone would be that it is too big to be mobile (like fitting in a pocket) and idk if they have ringtones or notifications so youd have to use an app that does an led notification on the screen which would be a problem since youd never hear it when you are getting a call. It just does not sound practical at this time, IMHO. P.S. sorry for the wall of text
I completely agree with the portable argument because most people would want to be able to carry their phone easily, but I have a bag with my 95% of the time and don't think that I would mind carrying it the other times. It just feels like I'm going back to the times of carrying my cell phone and my ipod and now it's going to be my cell phone and my tablet.
I didn't even think about the technical aspect. I figured with Ice Cream Sandwich and the convergence of the phone and table distros it wouldn't be a software issue.
Thanks for the reply.
Do tablets have all the needed hardware to work as a phone in a GSM-Network?
I know that many tablets have a simcard slot but thats for mobile internet.
I just assumed that if they could do 3g/4g the could do data too. It doesn't sound like it should be too difficult to do, but maybe it is on purpose to keep people buying multiple device.

exactly. I activate data plans at work for tablets all day. They have to reserve a phone number. Often, they have 0 minute voice allowances but unlimited texting (wtf?)

[HELP] possessed touch screen

so this is a problem ive had on and off for a long time. Basically my phone has these moments where its like the touch screen gets really confused. i touch one place, it registers another place. i tap the screen and it decideds im long pressing. other times it just spazzes out completely and i couldnt even begin to list the different things it starts to do. in the past, the only time it happened was when i plug it into an aux port in a car, in which case it would usually just spaz out in the music app i was using, now it tends to call and end and call and end the call a lot too. it wouldnt do it when i plugged normal headphones in though. used to, i would simply reflash or change roms. and the problem seemed to subside for a time. lately though, its gotten really bad. even on android revolution (stock and stable, no mods or anything) it just does really crazy things. lol i cant ignore this issue anymore, and when ive searched for the problem, i cant find anything specific to the inspire 4g. could it be a rom thing? or possibly just a shotty screen and wiring or some other hardware problem?

Sounds like improper grounding of the digitizer or something.

I had this same issue with my mytouch 3G slide. Eventually it stopped working completely. There were times for awhile that the only way to get the phone to work was to beat it against my palm. Then one day I was texting and it suddenly stop. I tried replacing the digitizer but come to find out it was one of the ribbons.
Your best bet is to go back to pure stock. Unroot. Do whatever it takes to get your back to factory as you can. A fresh start. If the problem is still there (which I'm going to assume it is) us the phones warranty through HTC (not your carrier) and tell them your problem. They will either send you another inspire for free or send you the next best thing. The inspire is on the EOL list as of the 24th so u may get the next in line.

Just clean the screen. It happened to me also.

Just got the S4... some questions

Hi,
I just got the S4 (SCH-I545 - Verizon) and so far I love it. I do seem to have a small issue with wifi were it will not connect until I turn wifi off and back on again. This happens in multiple location so its not like its just my home router. But its not all the time, some times it will connect automatically like it should.
Also I read a lot how people never use the air gestures after the first week. I have had it for about a week and I am starting to see why but personally holding your hand over the phone for a second to see the info screen never gets old and seems to be one of the best features I have ever seen! Its very useful and makes you feel like a jedi! I love the hand move to go through your pics in the gallery. I think the biggest problem with air-gesture is not enough other apps support it so its hard to get in the habit of using it.
What other cool things should I check out? I did the face recognition but when I figured out I could unlock my phone with the picture on my work badge I stopped using it. I know you can turn on the blink thing but it just seems kind of lame.
:good:
