[Q] Skinomi products

Anyone with experience with these products?
I'm interested in this one, but I never used any of their prodcuts before.
How hard are they to install/remove, and how long do they really last/protect/look good?

I've bought several Skinomi products. Love the screen protectors. If it was a kit containing side/back protection, I tossed those. They looked/felt like they would do the job but I didn't want them on my device.

I hope you know that's for the Z3C

Skinomi is my first choice for screen protectors, they feel fantastic and protect really well. Only downside is that the protectors are a touch on the thick side, and don't always get along with some of the tighter cases (I couldn't use a Cruzerlite Bugdroid with one).

Good point, I picked the wrong one. Question still stands, as there are Skinomi products for the regular Z3 as well.

My friends use Skinomi on their iPhones and they love it. Fitment is perfect and the plastic feels soft, which helps holding the phone. They highly recommend this product to me, but I'm not the type to buy such things on my Xperia Z3.. I like it naked.

Are they pretty resilient or prone to peeling?

got the ultra for my s6 and i like it but the crystal shape and slimness is also appealing..
Thin Fit is out of question not enough lip on the front

I would go for the crystal one simply because it offers better protection. Hopefully they will do one for the z5 Premium as I'm looking to get the Z5 Premium when its released.

I'm debating as well. Would like someone to post a video review on the Spigen cases first.

I ordered an ultra from eBay but it seems like its going to be a few weeks before its going to be delivered.

I got the Crystal case -- seems to warp the phone pretty nicely, the back is not pure clear, it has "dots" on it, so it makes it seem slightly cloudy (which I prefer tbh)

I bought the gunmetal one and should be getting it tomorrow (friday). Unfortunately I won't be receiving my Z5 until either Saturday or sometime next week. I will be sure to take pictures of the case once it gets here.

I managed to get the Thin Fit case in gunmetal.
It fits extremely well. There's no movement or creaking when pressure is applied. Unlike some other thin cases, this one gives a little protection to the bottom of the device aswell.
There is a small lip on the front. However, it's not massively clear in the attached images as I have the Spigen glass screen protector on my Z5 aswell.

Nice!! How do you like it so far? Was thinking about picking one up but I'm curious if the buttons are easily accessible, especially the fingerprint scanner.

Can't complain so far. Protection is minimal, but it's nice that it curves over the top and bottom of the device a little for some extra protection.
The buttons are about as good as they'll get with a case. The power button is more recessed than before, but doesn't impede operation in any way. You're just aware there's a case on when touching the fingerprint sensor as you can clearly feel the edges of the case.
It really feels like a premium case, which is often difficult to accomplish with a single piece plastic shell ?

Hybrid = > Safety

I have the ultra hybrid and its great!

I got the ultra hybrid as well.
For my other phones, I've always just gotten the slim fit case from Spigen but opted to change it up this time and I'm very happy with it

Also using the Hybrid here... very happy.

still waiting for mine to arrive... how is the power button is it easy to click ? i have a moko clear tpu case and the button is a little hard to press sometimes

Moto Z bumper case

Hello everyone, sorry for opening new thread, but I have question. Do You know where can I find new bumper case (the same like one included with phone or other)? I want to have style shell on back, but I want to protect sides also, because It's hard to handle with phone like with egg for me.

Yeah the one included is pretty easily broken and is hard plastic but instead of TPU

The one from Incipio is the best for protect the phone but only works with the battery mod and the style mods, does not fit with the rest of the mods.
I used the Verizon bumper but it made some scratches arround the phone maybe due to the semi regid plastic, nevertheless it works with all mods (jbl, hasselblad and proyector.

It works also with the 1st Gen speaker (sometimes minor misalignment with the buttons) and if you're keen - I've put the turbo power mod also (with it the buttons are hard to press but I use the fingerprint for power on \off and Bluetooth for audio, so I don't really care )

I would like to ask those that bought it how is the bumper case faring for them?
Mine broke at the bottom (the USB cutout is after all the weakest park of it ) in less than 6 months. I swap mods a couple of times a day though ...

About 7 months on mine. Incipio was kind enough to ship a replacement.

I love the Moto Z but it's the slipperiest phone I've ever seen. I had an otterbox for my Moto X but the otterbox for the Moto Z doesn't line up properly. I have the basic model. Any suggestions?
I'm also having a problem finding screen shields, I've taken to buying the ones made for the Moto Z Force, close enough.

I buy my screen protectors ( tempered glass ones ) on Aliexpress and these fit perfectly ( no bubbles since they cover only the screen portion of the front width and not the curved glass ). They're brutally cheap when compared to 20$+ protectors and they're quite scratch-proof too.
As for cases, I also got a "carbon fiber" one on Aliexpress.
With those two the phone hit various floors several times without dying ( one screen protector cracked once ).

Accessories Best Shockproof case for Xperia 5 III?

Looking to buy the 5 III but I'd really like a case to protect it from drops. Are any case recommendations that would protect the screen and back from drops? Something like an otterbox basically. The spigen ones I've seen reccomended look OK but don't look like they'd protect the phone from a drop
I saw one by Elcom on Amazon JP which was tempting.

I've bought "Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case Compatible with Sony Xperia 5 III Crystal Clear" and "Spigen Rugged Armor Case Compatible with Sony Xperia 5 III - Black" (and a Tesrank - but never used that) case along with my Xperia. I have a screen protector film on the display (not glass) in addition.
Started using the Rugged armor case at first (looks better) but finally stuck with the ultra hybrid. My phone fell a few times already (almost always to it's screen), but that case did it's job. Actually it's edges seem to be thick, which overreach the screen, so the screen itself did not absorb the drops.

Not cheap though.

Nice, I got it too, and used this screen guard on my previous phones! This protector sticks well and is good with the fingerprint too!

Yes, I've applied it on the factory protector and the touch works perfectly fine!
