Question Confused on chargers - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE

I just got a tab s7 fe. The charger that came with it is pretty darn slow. That thing has a huge battery. I have seen chargers called adaptive, fast, 3.0, 45w, 25w, and 15w. Can anyone explain what the fe was designed to use? I usually end up buying (and losing) a couple, so a reliable, safe, moderately priced generic charger would be best if someone has a recommendation.

If you want to charge your Tab S7 FE really fast. I would recommend that you purchase a GaN 60W PD charger. As those would be able to charge your Tab S7 FE very quickly.

I agree with iceepyon. I have an Anker GaN charger and it has a 45W port on it that changes the charging speed on my S7+ and S7 FE to "Super Fast Charging 2.0" and cut charging time but more than half of the included charger. Also, I have a Samsung 45W charger that i caught on sale for $20 at Best Buy a while ago. You might find that one on sale for Black Friday. Also Anker has some good sales for Black Friday too.

[Q] Fast charger

Hi
The S6 comes with what they call an adaptive fast charger. Because I am not too happy with the battery life on my S6, I am looking for an adaptive fast charger in an external battery pack. There are lots of portable chargers on Amazon and a lot of them say fast charging but I am not sure whether that is the same thing or they just say fast charging because they are around 2A. Is there something similar to what the phone comes with available in an external battery pack charger?
TIA
I've only seen 2 batteries that support the Samsung fast charge. Officially it needs to be Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 compatible. There is one from incipio that is $80 or so and one from Aukey for $30. The Aukey is out of stock right now on Amazon and I'm waiting to get one as well.
Also if you are looking for a multiport charger or cigarette lighter adapter Choetech make some that work really well and are QC 2.0.

Thanks. I'll take a look at the two you mention.
I also looker before at the Choetech cut I was rather put off by at least three people claiming it caused a fire!
For my car charger, I use my 2015 KIA Sedona's charger adapter that came with the purchase, and it charges just as fast as the charger that came with the S6.
However, the adapter does get a little hot, but not bad. Really surprised at how fast it does charge.

Choetech Fast Charge Wireless charger review (UPDATEd MODEL)

I recently acquired a newly updated choetech wireless fast charger. I was pleased with the updated design as it was not circular anymore. It charges in approximately 2 hours for 0-100%. I was very satisfied with this charger and would recommend to anyone on here looking for one. The one drawback of this charger is you have to have an extra wall brick that supports fast charge. The phone comes with one but for people not like me that will only use the phones charger this would become a problem. They run about $10 on amazon so not a huge deal. At 23.99 this is the best fast wireless charger you can get. The Samsung one costs like $70 and is arguably designed worse. If you guys have questions about it just ask me. Here is a link to amazon.

Interesting this one costs about the same as the yootech fast wireless charger I have, mine is triangular though and works just fine charging the device from 0-100% within 2 hours like the one you have. Amazing how much Samsung can charge for their wireless charger when there are now cheaper alternatives out there that people will actually buy because of the money they will save compared to Samsung's and it works nearly the same.
yea with the samsung charger your paying for the name

Power banks

Hi i have a samsung s7 and i would like to get a fast charging powerbank that will charge the phone at the same rate the fast charger wall charger will charge it
i want a 20000mah powerbank
preferably under $35
Samsung do produce fast charge powerbanks equivalent to the speeds of a wall mount. google "samsung fast charge battery pack"
however, for quality powerbanks with 20000mah under $35 (be it in USD / SGD / BND) is abit far fetched imho.

Im not too sure if it will work though. I own 7 powerbanks including the fast charge. The samsung's powerbank is the only one that sgows fast charging while the rest shows cable charging. Hope this info helps

Question Charging speed

So... Phone is supposed to charge at 45W but, from what I've read, this is not really true...
I do not have the original 45W Samsung charger but a 3rd party multiport 90W charger, with 2 PD usb C and one A port.
Till yesterday I was using a standard usb C to C cable and phone would display "fast charging" with an estimate of 1h from 15% to 100%. Not really a good performance I'd say. Today I bought a certified 100W cable with a display showing charging speed (usb C to C). With this cable two things change: phone displays "fast charging 2.0" and charging speed has slightly improved: less than 1h from 12% to 100%. Still not fast enough for a 45W charging... And as a metter of fact after 5 minutes the display on the cable stops at 28W...
This matches with lots of articles that complain for the same problem...
I also have a Xiaomi 12 Pro with dedicated 120W charger + dedicated usb C to A cable (charger has A). I'm saying dedicated, because with any other cable (standard usb C to A or even the above 100W usb C to C with adapter) the Xiaomi displays "turbo charging" while with original dedicated Xiaomi cable it displays "120W max" and is indeed blazing fast: 15 min for a full charge!!!
What is strange is that if I use the Xiaomi 120W charger with dedicated cable on the s22 ultra, phone displays only "fast charging" without the "2.0".
Now... I'm not trying to compare charging speed of s22 ultra to 12 Pro: Xiaomi can achieve such a speed because the phones have two separated batteries that charge simultaneously, thanks to a power splitter that takes the 120W input and splits it into two 60W, one for each battery.
What I'd like to know is what's going on with the s22 ultra. I understand that a basic cable is not enough to deliver 45W, reason why I bought a better cable, yet I was expecting a big improvement, while it improved charging speed of less than 10 minutes. And as a matter of fact I've never seen 45W on the cable display. Maybe I need an original Samsung 45W charger instead of a 3rd party one?
Search the forum, there is a few topics regarding 45w charging... I have a 65w charger and 5a cable and the charger has all the necessary properties/charging formats needed to fast charge 2.0 the samsung, but it doesn't. i don't even get the fast charge 2.0 notification....In the end the difference between the 25w and 45w is very slim....will be a waste of money to purchase the 45w samsung charger....check the other discussion.....my charger takes basically an hour from 10-100%...it's good enough for now
Well good enough if not compared to the blazing fast xiaomi's 120w charge
Most of the time, it's only several minutes charging time difference when I have a "Super fast charging" charger or a "Super fast charging 2.0" charger connected. 45W charging seems to be over hyped by Samsung and it's not using full power to charge all the time.
I have the original new 45W charger and the phone charges from ~ 0% to 50% in approximately 20 minutes as advertised. It is faster by around 22% in comparison to the 25W fast charger between 0-50% state of charge. Afterwards they both charge in almost same way with the 45W charger being max 10 minutes faster by reaching 100%. You need a PD & PPS charger. There are only some 3rd party ones that manage to do same as checked by androidpolice:

My charger is compatible with FC 2.0 but as I said it depends on the cable. Real problem is that 10 mins faster between 25W and 45W is a real joke. Given this phones is energy hungry then... With the Xiaomi 12 Pro I don't even care: 5 mins and I get 30% of charge, although you need proprietary charger and cable

It depends on what you want. For example I am perfectly happy with my 25W charger which comes rarely in use because of me charging wirelessly and without fast charging over the night but I bought the 45W one to have the possibility to get that extra speed between 0 and 50, and my girlfriend gets my old 25W one for her base S22. Samsung has a different approach to fast charging and for me 120W on Xiaomi or 150W on Oppo/OnePlus is something I do not need although I am curious why Samsung did not make the same move yet. Just split the cells in two or three, give each cell a maximum of 25W and boom, you're in the mix and nobody will complain.
On the other hand they lied to us about last gen 45W charger which was useless so it is fair to say that their battery & charging department is almost on the same bad level as the Exynos software team if not actually worse than them

2 cells is exactly what Xiaomi does
Reg Samsung, that's my point: they indeed lie, it's not a 45W phone. Full stop.
I have two Super Fast Samsung 25 watt chargers. One for my S22U and One for my Tab S7+ and both can charge in under an hour. 45 watt chargeers just wasting your money, and extra wear on the battery for a tiny bit of improvement. Not worth it to me.

Thanks all...
The Nekteck 45w charger specifically stated:
"Supports Super Fast Charging for S22 Ultra but does not support 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0."
So I don't think you want that one.

I have this one and I did confirm with a watt/amp tester that is does get to 45w, but it's only for a VERY short amount of time, at a certain point in the charging cycle, at a certain temp. The charging delivery in these phones is terrible compared to Oneplus. You aren't going to get a blazing charging experience, but this will get as close as it will get.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083J229RJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Edit: similar to above, but cheaper. You can't really plug all of the ports in at once or you'll degrade the wattage so much everything will charge really slow. The one I linked can split 45/15 with the top USB c and one of the lower ports. But I didn't checked that.
