Question Samsung phone direct from samsung read - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

So I bought a galaxy z flip 3 from Samsung UK via the Samsung website but under settings the region, CSC is eux not BTU for the UK what does this mean?

It means you have a European edition. That's the blanket code.

On new phones, Samsung is done with country specific csc's on unlocked phones. All EU phones have the same csc, except the ones purchased through carrier.

Samsung Pay

Hi,
I purchased my S7 from UK recently but am based in Singapore. Is there anyway to get Samsung Pay on it?
I have a local Singapore Bank account and can use it with the Samsung Pay as I understand the Samsung Pay is tied to local bank accounts. I wish to do so without tripping Knox (no root to do it - as i might utlize warranty when i visit UK occasionally), and apparently getting the Samsung Pay download can be via changing the CSC. How would one go about doing it?
Also, will changing the CSC via Odin trip Knox?
Thanks!

Hi mate
You are right you need the correc CSC in order to get Samsung PAy to work ( as long as is available in you country)
two options flash a stock rom from your country from sammobile
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Or check this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3369431
Flashing stock firmware with odin will not trip knox.

I don't really understand how home country firmware affects the use of SAmsung Pay. I have a duos S7 with United Arab Emirates firmware, which is not part of the list of countries where it is available according to Samsung site, yet I'm able to successfully sideload the apps and use S Pay here in the U.S.A. Maybe that's just a quirk of the duos S7?

Hi
Not so much the firmware but the CSC ( Country Sales Code) may play a role as Samsung Pay is not available in all countries
http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/samsung-pay/
In your case been in USA and in a USA carrier may had been decisive
In the case of the G930F and G935F seems to play a role

UK Firmware for Galaxy S8+

Hoping to get a hold of the generic firmware for UK Galaxy S8 Plus.
Doesn't seem to be avaialble at the usual places. Not sure if anyone with the S8 Plus arriving today can even do an extraction of the firmware for all of us with branded devices in need of flashing.

Keep in mind, most European countries are now part of the Multi-CSC OXM.
My country Netherlands (PHN); Belgium (LUX) and Germany (DBT) are receiving a firmware-update now as we speak (OTA only) -> they all have Multi-CSC OXM
If Ireland is also part of OXM and UK too (BTU), than you can't change your CSC to BTU...

Wich one is the internation "Generic" firmware for G955F

Hi, i have a s7 edge and the "generic" internation version of the exynos variant was the BTU from Uk, the one that i think got the oficial updates faster.
In the case of the G955F im not sure about that cause i think BTU did not even have the pink screen solution firmware but Netherlands got it before, is PHN the new "generic" faster csc to get the updates for the exynos version like it was with BTU for s7 edge?
Im trying to get the g955f firmware that get the oficial updates faster.
Tnx.

Don't think BTU will be around anymore. I believe XEU is the CSC for UK and Ireland.
PHN is probably a region specific CSC.
Samsung has grouped quite a few CSCs and made a multi-CSC code called OXM, so you can flash whatever (as long as it isn't carrier branded), insert a local SIM card from your country and go through the setup menu as you would normally when you flash a new ROM.

Switching Firmware on Galaxy S8+

Today I tried switching my s8+ which is an Italian unlocked model (ITV) to a United Kingdom unlocked firmware (BTU). I followed all the steps as this is not my first time flashing firmwares with Odin. I found a thread online saying that since BTU is a multi CSC , I need to flash a ROM that's is outside the multi CSC , so I decided to flash a O2 ROM , straight after flashing the BTU hoping that it would change the CSC , but it didn't instead it stood on ITV, the country/region is still on Italy too. Can anyone explain what I done wrong pls ?
Why do you even care about csc ? Install rom for your coutry "global", not branded soft and that's all...
BTU is not branded, it's unlocked with no carrier. Updates are also provided directly from Samsung. I would like to change the ROM for faster updates and features

Read msg #1 #2 #3
So according to what I read it's impossible to change the CSC to BTU on the Galaxy s8 unless you have a UK Sim. This used to be possible on the s7.

But NOT possible anymore on the S8/S8+
ITV & BTU are both part in OXM. When you flash BTU-ROM, your device will stay ITV because both are in OXM...

Yes, S7 didn't use the multi-CSC, each region had it's own CSC.
But the Euro S8 has Multi-CSC, so it won't change region until you put in a SIM from that new region.
Thanks guys for helping. I just wanted to change the CSC for quicker updates and for region specific features like Bixby Voice when it gets released in the UK.

Note 20 Ultra CSC Code change

Hi, I bought Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5g from Malaysia. There is no 5G network in Malaysia yet, I moved to Hong Kong and registered 5G Hong Kong sim card but the phone cannot get 5G connectivity, also the samsung pay is still the Malaysia version, I cannot add Hong Kong cards in the samsung pay.
Will the above problem be solved if I load Hong Kong firmware to change the CSC using Odin? I checked in sammobile the firmwire is available but the PDA version differs. Can I still proceed? or is there any other option to resolve the problems?
If I update the HK firmwire using Odin, will the phone be considered jailbroken? Can I still use KnoX?
Hi, I just do it by flashing XID firmware with odin
