Hi.
I did a project the system (based on PASTT) to be translated into Polish LewaOS.
You can now also create a translation into any other language.
On the basis of this translation seems LewaOS port for Newman N1 - but they translate when you move to another port on the other phone will work.
My changes:
Polish language add (and PL, DE, ES, HU, IT, SK, CS, NL, PT, TR, FR, EL) for system and application system
system boots from the default language of English (no need to click on the bushes to find an option from the Chinese to You language)
Chinese apps removed
Chinese stamps ejected from the lock screen
Left Recovery removed from the original package - it was only in Chinese .......
Currently built in language ROM: [EN, ZH, PL, DE, HU, ES, HU, IT, SK, CS, PT, TR, FR, EL]

I gave it a try. Not much feedback yet because I have very little time, but here is one issue:
If I connect-disconnect my bluetooth headset several times, usually 2-5 times, the bluetooth "hangs". It will not work and if I turn it off and then back on it simply freezes and becomes unusable.
I'm only add translation to ROM - not porting from other ROM phone to Newman N1, if misc function not working - We must waiting that chineese programmer this fix it.

How to sort the installed apps in the app drawer by name?
Browser isn't in original Lewa ROM and my version also - install Your favorite browser.
To sort and other more personalize app drawer install another Launcher - stock LewaLauncher maybe not this function (i'm not using LewaLauncher).

Which drawer do you recommend?
I'm using ADWLauncher EX - few months ago was in promotion 0.10$
In other phone use HoloLauncher - it's good.

Installing the course of recovery (I have LewaRecovery-2.0EN but CWM it should be installed), install the wipe because before I had the official beta 4.1.2, if someone had Lewa-4.1 should also run an update on the previous version.
Recommend to take a back early to do in case of errors wipe and upload the data from the backup.
Flashing your own risk, do not assume any responsibility for the damage.

Deepsleep work fine, GPS not testing jet - must go aout of home, but very very raining now...
GPS checking - work good, with EPO fix ~10-15 sec, without EPO - 1-2 minutes.

No, i'm not translate to other language than Polish - but i'm share translation tools for all interested add self native lang to ROM.
Dutch translation was beginning, but user using automatic google translator - mass of errors and the impossibility compile app's.

First if all i would like to say thx about ROM, but i have a little problem .
It works well without the Sim card but when I insert/plug it gives me a pop up window wich says: we are sorry but com.androidphone apk force closed.I have read a solution at one of the Chineese forums i should change the device to 2G network ,--> restart and when its on the 2g i can change back to 3G.If the card is not plugged in it is not possible.(no network , cannot change any settings) but when the card plugged in there is the same problem because of the pop up windows,with error messages etc.
I would like to ask you for some help, suggestions or solutions

Existing strings please check very carrefoul because this imported from earlier translator - using GoogleTranslator and is much error in compile.
Read the attention in above tool - some char make error in compile.

Installed this great rom but stock email and exchange are not working. I can install my account but is stays on synchronise and i cant see my mail.
Tried to replace a couple of apks but that make no sense.

Before i tried many roms but de last was the Official beta 4.1.2 from Jiayu. I tried to wipe data/factory, dalvik, cache and battery stats but it's still not working.
Connecting and wipe it by flashtool won't work as well so i do everything bij leaw recovery,
i hop you can help me..
I can confirm deep sleep isn't working, also the stock email app doesn't work with hotmail/outlook.com stuck on "Waiting for sync"
Deep sleep working perfectly - in attachment screen make a few second ago.
Stock app email - i'm not use, I'm have all email sync to GMail, later register account in outlook.com and testing.

I use UMI_XI_4.1.2_13.01.18

Maybe version 1.0 not flashig this rom, i have a problem with LewaRecovery 1.0 - in my phone v.10 not mount SDCard, upgrade to 2.0 and all working ok - but i have a JiayuG3 - maybe to Umi is too version 2.0, or CMW or TWRP
Or ask user @ja_ma - hee flashing and testing before public release
i used CWM but i had bootloop it's why i chaged to lewa.
do you have some link for the v2 ?
I have na JiayuG3 - not UmiX1, recovery is different.

I recompile new version LEwa20130419 - but not publish - is buggy in font's.
Not show native language char's like "ż, ę", fonts in this rom is idenity like in 20130402 but not working correct with national char's.
Yesterday version (20130426) is fix bug in national char, and first post new link: LeWa_UMI_X1_JB_ROM_13.04.26_by_JDStar.pl.zip
