Replacing boot animation - Motorola One Hyper Questions & Answers

It the boot animation a vital part of starting the phone?
Can I replace with another one or make my own animation file?

You can use MotoBootLogoMaker to make your own https://github.com/Franco28/Moto_Boot_Logo_Maker.
I used an older one https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ker-source-code-included-version-2-4.2848667/ worked also fine. I haven't tested the first one till now.
The warning about unlocked boot loader cannot be removed on the hyper, even if you modify the corresponding image. If you find a solution for this please write a note.

[Q]How To Change, Customize & Create Android Boot Animation

I found this guide here : http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-change-customize-create-android-boot-animation-guide/
My question is, can I use it on my desire s which is not rooted and is still S-On? I don't dare to try it cuz I dont want to brick my phone or something. Please help, thanks!
Hi!, although´you can create the bootanimation in your PC, you will not be able to replace the system file, so ultimately you can't change the bootanimation...
so meaning, I need to root my phone first? in order to change the boot animation?

[Q] Razr HD Won´t Stay After Changing Bootanimation Please Help

Hi Sorry if this does not belong in this tread.
I have a Droid HD XT926 i´ve Changed the bootanimation from the original to the one from the moto x but know it just run the bootanimation but it doesn´t go on. Please Help Me I´m Desperate
i have tried everything i can think of.
Sorry for my poor English
Regards,Rich.
Had this same problem months ago when I tried to flash that boot animation. I still don't know why it happens.
Can you get into recovery or anything?
Happened to mee too (see this post & thread in general: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2393012&page=4). The bootanimation you flashed is just too big for the phone to handle and it eventually freezes. Your best luck is to have a recovery with a file manager installed to delete bootanimation.zip and restore your original one.
I think there is another location you can place the bootanimation.zip i.e. another location that is read on boot to display the boot animation. IIRC it's /data/local (default and most commonly used is /system/media). Maybe you can push a file quickly there using adb and hope it will be used for boot, therefore bypassing the faulty one.

thanks for your answer, by any change does anyone have the original bootanimation but flashable?
Don't ave a flashable zip, if that's what you meant (and I actually have no clue how to create one, or whether it's even possible).
IIRC I had the same idea back when this happened to me, and I was told here (again, it's what I remember, but I could be wrong) that flashign a single file from recovery was not possible.
The only thing that could have eventually led to sth correct was that adb was available for a very short time when booting the phone in "AP Fastboot mode". I was able to adb inside but could not achieve a su prompt.
Don't wanna take your hopes down, but i ended up reflashing to stock rom... Sorry I can't be of any more help. But you should really dig in that thread I mentioned yesterday, maybe there are some more answers than at the time I posted there.

[MOD] [BOOTANIMATION] Google Pixel bootsplashs and bootanimations (black and white)

Hi guys. I couldn't find these on our M8 forum, but I have grabbed the black version of the boot animation from the nexus-6p forum. Also included is the matching bootsplash. Everything resized for our 1080x1920 M8 phones.
*Update* 2017-01-07
As requested adding the white versions. I also made a reversed black version that starts with the "G" and ends with "Google", bootsplash_pix_blk_r.zip & bootanimation_pix_blk_r.zip. I may tweak it if anyone else likes it.
You can flash all zips from TWRP recovery.
Enjoy

Is it possible to add the pixel boot sound to the black boot screen please, that would be awesome, I've been trying to add it myself today but not having any luck, the boot screen zip increases in size I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it but I'm hoping you can succeed where so far I've failed lol, Tia for your time and effort it is very appreciated

Unless something has changed, I don't think you add the sound to the animation zip. I believe it's a separate zip in the system folder.

Well I flashed the pixel experience zip when I first noticed the boot sound and got intrigued and tried to rebuild it with the sound and I found the mp3 within the boot screen zip mate, I couldn't find any other.

This Project is done with the help of people from Oneplus 3 Whatsapp groupThanks to @Nishidh For flashable zips, stock bootanimation & alpha testing.
Thanks to @vasu1312 , beta testing.
Thanks to @Rajeev , no reason .
OnePlus for providing boootanimation.
Google for the bootanimation
Great work bro.. keep up the good work
Cheers? keep it up @niwia
Damn that looks so fine!
Animation is nice but I'd prefer OP logo breaking down and creating Google logo then they jumping on each other like on pixel and then roaming around one circle and at the end merging to form Google's G logo.. That'd be very good.
looks good!
Where is the original bootanimation zip? ?
Thread updated with Oxygen os Stock boot animation. Sorry for the delay.
The break from the bootlogo (that with powered by android) to the bootanimation is still kinda hard.
Can you fix that?

it happens in the first boot for me. and for the rest of the times i tested the animation was fine. beta testers did not have this issue too. you try rebooting once more. also try using 60fps version.
Nice work. :good:

Both are same. Replace zip is to manually place the zip and give permissions. Flashable zip makes it easy . Flashable zip is your option my frnd.

sure. our stock bootanimation shows google logo with made by android in the pre boot screen and then suddenly oneplus logo comes up. no transition is there. for me that's lack of continuity of animation. in my bootanimation ive made it so the google logo from pre boot screen has a transition animation when booting screen comes like is pixel. hope you understood.

QUESTION: Is it possible to change boot logo for realme5 device?

I was hoping if someone here knows how to change the boot logo of realme5. I'd would be great if we can find a way to modify it.

Tried a bunch of tool here sir, but none works. It only shows blackscreen. I even set different file names and file extensions but nothing works. I think what I'm missing is the correct file name of the splash logo set.
