How To Guide The correct way of unlocking the bootloader - Samsung Galaxy A12

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES DONE BY YOUR MISHAPS
Unlocking the bootloader on modern Samsung devices have some caveats. The newly introduced VaultKeeper service will make the bootloader reject any unofficial partitions in some cirumstances.
Allow bootloader unlocking in Developer options → OEM unlocking
Reboot to download mode: power off your device and press the download mode key combo for your device
Long press volume up to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe your data and automatically reboot.
Go through the initial setup. Skip through all the steps since data will be wiped again in later steps. Connect the device to Internet during the setup.
Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and is grayed out. This means the VaultKeeper service has unleashed the bootloader.
Voila! Your bootloader now accepts unofficial images in download mode.

Nexus 5 Bootloop, Bootloader locked, No recovery, No root, No Emergency Mode...Help!!

Ive been asked by a friend of mine to fix his nexus 5 that is stuck on a Bootloop, I've opened it up to have a look at the power button and that wasn't the problem, the device has not been rooted, the Bootloader is locked, there is no emergency mode and there is no recovery. I am however able to access fastboot and when I try unlocking via fast boot it does unlock but then requires a full reboot and as I've said before this cannot happen because of the Bootloop.
Any suggestions!?!?!?!
After unlocking the bootloader, does the bootloader relock itself? If it does, the memory chip is damaged and requires a replacement motherboard.
I've had this problem when I corrupted my recovery by using FlashFire and my bootloader was locked. Though I was able to restore my device using Fastboot. I had unlocked my device and instead of flashing the stock recovery when unlocking the bootloader I had flashed the Team Win Recovery Project recovery and when I tried to boot up to TWRP recovery it would stay for a couple of second displaying that it couldn't wipe the data partition and then reboot me back into bootloader mode. I fixed that when trying out the following steps:
1= Download the latest firmware of the device found Here .
2= Boot the device to Fastboot mode (aka Bootloader mode) plug the device in and unlock the bootloader (of coarse confirm when asked by the device).
3= After seeing that the device has stopped wiping data indicated the text "wiping..." in the very bottom of the specifications in the Fastboot Bootloader REBOOT THE DEVICE IN FASTBOOT BOOTLOADER MODE by navigating using Volume buttons to scroll down and highlight the option "Reboot Bootloader" and then pressing the Power button.
4= Using the provided scripts for Windows , Mac and Linux flash the device with the firmware.
VERY IMPORTANT: WHEN YOU SEE THAT IT IS FLASHING "userdata" and after that "cache" HOLD DOWN THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON THIS WILL FORCE THE DEVICE INTO FASTBOOT BOOTLOADER MODE.
5= When you see that the device is in the Fastboot Bootloader mode scroll down (again using volume buttons) and highlight "Recovery Mode" then boot into Recovery and it should automatically start wiping the ("userdata" partition) Data once more that the bootloader said when it displayed the "wiping..." message after being unlocked.
If not wipe data factory reset the device manually by using the recovery and reboot to the system.
Optional: 6= IF the device has successfully booted up power it back down and lock the bootloader again using the fastboot tool additionally before locking the bootloader you can reset the warranty tamper flags.
This tutorial explains in detail how to flash a firmware to the Nexus 5 and shows how to restore the tamper flags.
I hope that I helped in some way.

Yes after unlocking Bootloader and restarting the device into the Bootloader it relocks and I'm back at square one
The motherboard needs to be changed. I recommend looking for a used Nexus 5 with a smashed screen and a working motherboard as this may easier than trying to find a new motherboard.

Thanks for the suggestion but I've tried this already and it doesn't work because when I unlock the bootloader and reboot into the Bootloader it locks itself again making impossible to flash the system image

Bootloader unlocking: https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html If already (previously) enabled OEM unlocking in developer options.
You need xiaomi account associated with the device]
Boot into Bootloader; or fastboot mode: Press and hold power button and vol up button simultaneously during reboot . Follow Unlock procedure first.
If you have account issues , then you may not unlock using the above.
Official firmware must be flashed first.
Download fastboot drivers : https://miui.blog/any-devices/xiaomi-adb-fastboot-usb-drivers-tool/
Install the drivers first.
Download fastboot rom:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OLjrB9I3e1Ee0H_rB-DKYQBNlPc6K-Eh/edit (Older, but safe to try)
OR
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.5.0...HINXM_20210111.0000.00_10.0_in_a80e87d485.tgz
Extract files in to a folder. (Suggested: No space in path address)
Go inside the .\Firmware and click flash_all.bat
Wait to complete the process.
(Present files in the device will be overwritten. )
Then one can proceed with OEM unlocking systematically again.
[Alternatively, you can use : MI Flash Tool.

Pixel 3a - OEM Unlocking is active but no option to unlock bootloader

Hi Everyone,
I'm having some difficulties unlocking my Pixel 3a to install a ROM.
I have activated developer options, activated OEM Unlocking, but when I get into the bootloader, there is no option to unlock the bootloader itself...
The only options I have are :
Start
Power off
BarCode
Recovery Mode
Restart Bootloader
I have no idea what's happening and haven't found anything online that would even hint at what is wrong. Does anyone have any idea about what is going on with this ?
Thanks for your help.
when booted to bootloader you need to execute the command
'fastboot flashing unlock'

How to Unlock the Bootloader on Your Pixel 3a
The first thing you'll always have to do before getting your customization game on with most phones is to unlock the bootloader. Doing so opens the true potential of the device, allowing you to root, install TWRP, Magisk, custom ROMs, and other mods. No matter your wants or needs, there's no way...
android.gadgethacks.com
To Unlock bootloader
- Install adb and fastboot on your PC. https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
- Run through the initial setup if you haven't already, if you haven't don't bother logging into your google account.
- Enable dev options(settings>about phone>build number>tap it 7 times).
- Go into settings>system>advanced>dev options>oem unlocking, click the toggle.
- While still in dev options scroll down a little and enable usb debugging.
- Plug your phone into your pc. If or when the phone asks you to trust the computer make sure to check the "always allow this computer" check box.
Open up command prompt type into the cmd window
adb reboot bootloader
The phone will reboot into fastboot mode.
Now type into the cmd window
fastboot devices
See if it lists a device, if not you need to install the drivers I linked to. If you had to install the drivers try the fastboot devices command again after installing them, it should list the device now.
type in:
fastboot flashing unlock
You will then have to use the phone to select yes to the unlock. you use the volume keys to select and the power button to confirm.
Your bootloader is now unlocked and you follow one of the root methods.
reboot your phone

Help unlocking Bootloader for flashing stock Rom

So I had actually posted about this phone already but I wanted to get a seoerate discussion on unlocking
I am currently trying to flash a stock Rom to an Asus ZenFone 5Q ZC600KL X017DA with a Qualcomm chipset
The issue with the phone is that it's stuck on the logo when turning on it will say powered by Android then goto Asus then stops there
Factory reset is out of the question as the hardware keys only bring me to CSC fastboot mode
Now here is my problem the bootloader is locked and when running device info command in fastboot on laptop it will say something along the lines device unlock false same for unlock critical false
To unlock the boot loader everywhere is telling me I need to enable the slider for OEM unlock in developer and also enable USB debugging and Asus has an unlock tool but it's an apk file
Now as phone is stuck on logo when turning on I obviously cannot enable the OEM unlock it even enable USB debugging
So my goal right now before I proceed with flashing stock Rom is to get the bootloader unlocked
Is there any way to do this any software I can download with instructions or any options to unlock the bootloader via EDL mode
Is there an option to wipe out the bootloader and reinstall it from a firmware
Or is there something like TWRP that I can flash over to the phone under EDL that will give me options to unlock
Thanka

"SECURE CHECK FAIL : boot"

I just unlocked bootloader on my S7 and was installing magisk and did everything and got the AP patched magisk file etc, and got to Odin and started flashing only for it to fail with this error
Im not sure what to do as this is the correct verison firmware, I unlocked the bootloader, and flashed everything occardinginly
Did you follow the Magisk Installation Instructions?
After unlocking the bootloader, you have to let the device boot and confirm that OEM Unlocking is still available. Vaultkeeper/Knox Guard are still active even after unlocking the bootloader.

Hmm yeah that's what I thought but thought it was already so because...
I unlocked bootloader in dev options but when I boot into download mode it doesn't give me the prompt to fully open up the device it's just normal download mode :/
I tried booting into recovery and "restart to bootloader option" doesn't even exist, so I had to do it via pc
What should I do?

The OEM Unlocking toggle in Developer Options does not unlock the bootloader on its own. It's simply a "safety" that when enabled allows you to unlock the bootloader.
When you're in download mode, do you see "OEM LOCK" near the top of the screen? Does it say "On"?
To unlock the bootloader, unplug any cables and shut the device down.
Then, hold both VOLUME buttons, and while holding them, insert the USB cable from your PC. The device should start with a prompt - Volume Up for download mode, long press Volume Up for unlock mode, and Volume Down to cancel. Follow the prompts to unlock your device. This will wipe all user data.
Once you've unlocked the bootloader, follow the instructions in the link I posted to ensure Vaultkeeper/Knox Guard are fully disabled.

When I boot into download mode it just shows a normal download screen with no text in the top left, no nothing, it's just normal download. I don't get the option to unlock the bootloader as I've said in my last post
