Question Poco X3 Pro (SD860) Supports 5G. Can We Enable It? - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hi, I Read the Full Specs Of SD860 on their Official Site. and There is Mentioned that SD860 Supports 5G. So, My Question is " If SD860 Supports 5G, Is it Possible to Enable 5G From a Software Update or from a Custom Rom ??
I think SD 860 has Integrated 5G.
link of SD Official Site: https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-855-plus-and-860-mobile-platform

5G modem required since 5G is not integrated on the chip.
No way to enable it as far as I can tell without the hardware.

POCO X3 Pro doesn't suport 5G. He simply doesn't have a modem (hardware) that supports 5G, so he cannot be enable by software.
The specs in the Qualcomm website state that, check the full specs (modem can vary)

Can the 10 Pro 5G capabilities be unlocked by a software update?

I believe the 10 Pro is 5G compatible (the 10 [non-Pro] is not). I think the U.S. 10 Pro does not have 5G enabled. Does anyone know if the U.S. 10 Pro can have its 5G capability enabled by a software update (when 5G is more available and 5G SIMs are more available)? Thanks.
Why do you think so? The Snapdragon 855 does NOT! have an integrated 5g Modem, its additionally.
The 5g device has physically different hardware. It's not just a software thing.
What makes you suspect otherwise?

Redmi K30 get global frequencies?

Hello guys,
Unfortunately we still didn't get the Poco X2 for European markets. Here we are needing B8 and B20 for 4G at least. So if I buy the Redmi K30 from Tradingshenzhen and flash the Poco X2 ROM, will I get those frequencies as well?
Also if I buy at tradingshenzhen they also let me choose global ROM which is more expensive. I think they just unlock the bootloader and flash Poco X2 ROM themselves. Don't need it because we can do the same anyway, right?
AFAIK bands are part of the hardware whereas the software just optimizes the use case in that given region (i.e. it does not enable newer bands just by flashing s/w) - you may do further research on this.
Redmi K30 does support LTE B8 (900). Go to FrequencyCheck website to check if it does support your carrier in your country.

How to unlock LTE band on Chinese version K30 pro

Hi Everyone, i bought Chinese version K30 Pro, global version model name is Poco F2 Pro
Chinese version support LTE band:B1 / B3 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B34 / B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
Global version support LTE band:1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28/38/40/41
I want to unlock LTE band 28, Is it possible unlock band 28 with the device hardware architecture?
I think this was possible on older devices but not newer ones, I could be wrong but we would really need someone to know what they're doing with the Qualcomm qpst and qxdm tools, I gave it a try and gave up. I'm pretty experienced with flashing but really didn't want to take a chance and wipe something I shouldn't.
Is this even possibile hardware-wise?
You would need the qualcomm tool for this to be able to unlock bands. As mentioned before for some older device this was possible but for even last year this wasn't available for the 855/k20 pro. So I don't think anyone should rely on this. Thats why poco f2 pro been released. I know the k30 pro zoom is better with the zoom camera but with out the right bands I would go fo the poco. I hope this helps.

depends really on the user and what camera they would prefer, telephoto or macro! The Poco does have more available LTE bands but the zoom has more for 5G. Just now though it's not an issue as all carriers I believe are using n78 for 5g. I would maybe use an app called Kimovil and type in the device and country, this will show all carriers for your country and give accurate network availability. I have the k30 pro zoom which has no band 20 for virgin media and vodafone in the U.K, however this isn't a problem as they both use bands 1 and 3 which both Poco pro 30 and k30 pro support.

XQ-AS62 Anyone from US tried flashing other region Firmware to Check if we get 5G support?

Basically I wanted to know if someone has changed firmware on US based model to some other region and got 5G option working or not. Currently I am happy with 4G only but as T Mobile supports 5G would be nice to get 5G option.
The Xperia 5 II hardware does not support any of the bands used for 5G in the US currently. International firmware may enable 5G on the hardware, but you will not receive a 5G signal anywhere in the US. This is why Sony disabled 5G on the US model and marketed it as a 4G device.

I thought Snapdragon 865 already have 5G support inbuilt and Sony just disabled it for US variant.
Do phone need separate hardware to support specific bands?
Edit: Ah! Got it now that T Mobile's supported bands are not event part of what Global variant support.
But my other question still remains,XQ-AS62 don't have 5G on hardware or it's just software that is disabling it?
Mate I and the rest of Australia can't even get 5G on a Sony Xperia 5 ii or 1 ii handset and these models are 5G enabled.
Sony have stuffed up 5G support somehow. Lots of worldwide reports and no solutions so far.
Annoying as hell.

IDK why Sony is not enabling 5G unless it requires some special H/W (like 5G modem). AFAIK 865 has support for 5G and it has 5G modem: Overview | Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform | 5G Mobile Processor | Qualcomm

Simultaneous 5g + 4g

Does anybody know if the x55 modem in the Poco F2 Pro is capable of providing 5g and 4g on two sims simultaneous?
Just wondering if not having it is a hardware or software limitation, Before I bought my F2 Pro I didnt read or watch any reviews that pointed out this drawback.
In the instruction manual it is also written that with an update Xiaomi would have added the dualsim with a sim in 5G but have not yet done so after a year. It's a shame, I will never buy a Xiaomi smartphone again!
