App Bug Alerts list doesn't always update - XDA App Bugs and Requests

When the app is open and you receive notifications, the alert tab displays the number of alerts at the top left and bottom right correctly, but the alert list doesn't update automatically.
Note that i get a floating popup notification for each one but it gets dismissed too quickly to click on it

[Q] 5.0 notifications on screen

Is there any way to stop notifications from showing on the screen so they can only be read through the pull down from top menu? Either that or instead of showing the actual messages just have it show something like "WhatsApp New Message"
I'm not talking about the lock screen.
Apparently this is an app issue, WhatsApp and Hangouts display a banner when a message is received, haven't figured out a way to disable them yet though.

note edge curved screen notification problem

Can I chose which notifications will be displayed of note edge curved screen.i don't want my what's app and Facebook notifications on it .can I turn them off?
If you are talking about missed notifications, tap the little tick box on the top of the Briefing Panel, the one with the weather. It will take you to the Edit Briefing Panel settings where you can choose which apps you want the missed notifications from.
On your side panel at the bottom is a ^ swipe it up and click the gear icon. Go to manage panels then look for the panel with missed call and missed message icons. Mine has a missed call with a 2 below it and an envelope icon with a number 6. Right below that you will see a pencil icon, click it then that will take you to a list of what notifications will show up. Find the ones you want and check the box. Uncheck the boxes you don't want to show up.

Show full SMS Message in notification

Hello guys,
In my old phones, when an SMS comes in, I slide down the notification panel, I can see the entire content of the message.
But in the Mate 9, I can only see the first two lines.
Problem is when using my banking app. When I request TAC, it comes as SMS the moment I switch to the message app to get the code, the banking app automatically logs out (that is how it has been programmed for security purposes). The banking app also doesn't allow split-screen.
Is there a way to get the notification show the entire message when I swipe down the notification panel?
Thanks
Have you tried swiping down the notification panel with one finger to open it, then using a two-finger swipe-down on the sms notification itself?

Just tried. Didn't work.
Thanks for the tip.
It seems that there is no way to get the notification show the entire message when we swipe down the notification panel.
I think it is maybe by design for security purposes.
It doesn't seem like it's for security if it's still showing the first line. I've had no luck replacing the default messaging app with Signal, either, which should have fixed this problem -- the phone lets me change the default, but then I stop getting any SMS messages at all until I change it back.

Enable banner notification for received e-mails?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0.
I use the Samsung Email v5.0.x app.
When I'm using the phone, if I receive an e-mail, it doesn't appear from the top of the screen in a temporary banner-style notification.
I simply hear the audio notification, the icon appears in the notification bar and the notification appears in the notification tray.
Some other apps produce a banner notification (e.g. Messenger).
I don't see any options in App Notification settings.
Any idea how to enable this?

[Annoying] WhatsApp Notifications...

Every time a message is received on WhatsApp, all the previously unread messages too show up in the notification area.
Anyone who uses Notification History would see all these old WhatsApp messages before the other recently received notifications. The notification history becomes a mess because of this.
Is there a way to stop these old messages from showing up again (without reading them)?

When a new message is received on WhatsApp, it is common for the app to group the notification with the previous unread messages. However, if you don't want the old messages to show up in the notification area every time a new message is received, you can try the following:
Open WhatsApp and go to Settings > Notifications.
Scroll down and select "Group notifications".
Under "Notification tone", select "Silent".
Under "Message notifications", select "No sound" and "No vibration".
Under "Light", turn off the toggle for "Use high priority notifications".
Go back to the main Settings menu and select "Apps & notifications".
Select "Notifications" and then "Advanced".
Turn off the toggle for "Allow notification dot".
By following these steps, WhatsApp notifications will no longer make any sound or vibration, and the app won't use high priority notifications or notification dots. This way, when a new message arrives, it won't group with the previous unread messages, and they won't show up in the notification area again. However, you will still receive the notification in the notification shade, and you can read the new message there.

Lovely. I think this may work with some tweaks.
I will try and 'mute' or archive individual conversations (since some of these are from individuals too) and see if that helps.
This is indeed something for WhatsApp to sort out in their app so they don't show previous unread conversations repeatedly in the notification area. This gets annoying very quickly.
