Question Good Tempered Glass Screen Protectors that also work with the FP Sensor? - OnePlus 9

What Glass Screenprotector also supports fp sensor?

All of them...
There is no difference between a 1.99 or 29.99 glass, none of them are 9H and they all protect the screen and work with FP. They all lie.
Only ones that would be different if they were genuine sapphire but that would be stupid to spend that kind of money.
Just get the $10 ones that come with pack of 6.

The Mi4C uses Concore glass which is a product of Gorilla Glass but has the LCD and Digitizer fused together. That means if the glass even slightly cracks you'll have to replace the entire LCD/Digitizer assembly. Even though the Mi4C has a good repairability score, it might be difficult or expensive to get parts as this a phone for the Chinese market only. Using some form of screen protection is essential.
PS: Just google a few guides on how to apply a screen protector properly, I've done so many times without any dust or bubbles creeping in.

Thanks, I'll definitely use one
Make sure to get the tempered glass variety, as the plastic-based ones are often grippy (making swipes more difficult as your finger kind of sticks to the screen) and more reflective (more difficult to see in the sun), as well as less transparent (screen seems dimmer, and sometimes has artifacts). Tempered glass screen protectors are more expensive than the plastic-based ones and sell for about $5. That said, I've seen suppliers offering the display now, they sell for about $60.

Ye I have a tempered glass one, always used a plastic on my old phones, which is much slimmer but as you say, you can feel the difference :good:
I hear the standard mi4c screen doesnt have such a great olephobic coating, so its a fingerprint magnet. can anyone confirm or deny this statement? sounds like the best screen protector is a tempered glass with good olephobic coating. can anyone recommend a good one?
I applied the standard screen protector that came for free and have one bubble but its on the bezel so I can live with that. Only problem is it attracts a lot of fingerprints

Yep, I confirm. No or poor oleophobic coating, it is a real fingerprint magnet
I don't use a screen protector, not even the free platic one that came with the phone... just don't like them.

Nillkin have a tempered glass screen protector for the Mi4i/4c, called NILLKIN Amazing H. I've heard they're one of the better ones, since Nillkin is also a big brand when it comes to cases and screen protectors.
You can find it on AliExpress for 7-10 dollar. It's probably available at other places as well.
I see nillkin also has an Amazing H+ version.. www.nillkin.com/english/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=0&tid=0&cid=1&scid=&id=5584&page=1

Just comparing the product pages, The H is 0.33m and H+ is 0.3mm. H+ looks to have 2.5D edging craft, whatever that is.
I only use nillkin for all my phones. They fit great and applying them is very easy, because they pack a lot of extras in the box (like wet and dry wipes to clean your screen, tape to remove dust particles, microfibre cloth...). I always need just about 2 minutes to apply them without any bubbles or dust. If there is a dust particle left after applying, just lift the screen protector carefully and use the tape to remove the dust
i found that Edge Control goes crazy when the phone is connected to the PSU and charging. After some minutes of using the Edge controls suddenly do the "back" function all over again. This happens when i just hold the phone in the left hand (not tapping with the fingers - just holding it on both sides in one hand). Can you confirm this? I am using latest sMIUI 5.11.5 (clean installed). If i unplug the typ c connector - all goes back to normal within one minute.

(INDIA) Tempered Glass - Top Brands Vs Low Cost ?

Has any1 used top brands tempered glass like iloom or spigen ??
What would be better to buy 2000 Rupees Spigen or local glass protector from ebay that 200 Rupees .... that like 10 for the price of 1 branded....
Although from what i have used these local ones start chipping from the sides after 2 months or so ....
Please advise ...
Or should i just go for a deal that would be like buy 10 pieces of local glass for one seller and ask for a bulk discount on ebay cause they will chip and break after a couple of months of use....
Please share your experiences ...
:good:
I had the spigen's Glas.tr, it was bulky and the cut out was just bad. Replaced it with Nillkin's 9H+ Pro, it's over a month now and I don't regret it. Sturdy and seamless. Costs about the same (800-1000Rs).
Tempered glass, they protect from shatter well.

I am using foso costs around 350/- but I highly recommend you to use it I promise you won't regret it. Do read my real review there tho.

Anyone using tempered glass screen protector?

can anyone suggest a tempered glass screen protector that works good and does not interfere with the fingerprint sensor? I purchased one and although it does fit perfectly and works well, the screen protector is thick enough that it interferes with the fingerprint sensor, it basically is too thick and when touching the sensor it only reads a partial fingerprint unless I press on it really hard to squish my finger in there.... anyone using one that is thinner or maybe the hole for the sensor is larger and not having this issue?
you got to change the temperglass

i had that issue so i replace with one which doesn't obstruct my finger print sensor. only drawback is that the temper glass will not provide full protected coverage like the one you have.
The Ringke Invisible Shield is what I am using. No issues with the fingerprint sensor. Have used Ringke products before and not had any issues.
I got an AVODA branded one free with my G6, from B&H Photo/Video. Haven't used it yet. I'm still rocking the plastic one that comes with the phone, the piece that has a white tab at the lower left corner. Once that looks heavily scratched to me, or is just about ready to pop off from another trip to a pants pocket, I'll put on the tempered glass protector.
Installed this a few days ago:
SPARIN Moto G6 Screen Protector, [NOT for G6 Play & G6 Plus] Tempered Glass [Leeway for Case] [Full Coverage] [Bubble Free] Screen Protector for Moto G6- Black
happy with it so far, although thumb taps do sound noticeably, at least at first, louder than the Nilkin tempered glass I used on my G4.
I've had this protector on for 3 months. I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't interfere with the case or the fingerprint sensor. The cutout is precise around the earpiece, camera and sensors. I would recommend this protector.

I use Supershieldz
It doesn't have any space on both sides; however, you must install exactly on the center or the viewing areas are not fully covered.
So far I am satisfied though it has very little touch degradation.

same here, I debated ordering up a tempered glass plate, but decided to wait and see how the film does first. I've had good luck with SuperShieldz brand. I have a film-type protector on my S7, which is basically bulletproof as far as scratches and dings, but I don't care for the faintly rubbery-texture it gives to the screen.

Question Screen protector

What is the best screen protector for s22 ultra?
A good case with slightly raised guards on all sides like the Zizo Bolt or the display will likely get broke.
Easy to apply hygrocell screens like the Gorilla IQ Sheild work well, are inexpensive and last 6+months.
Also, be careful using the glass protectors (non hydrogel), because they can interfere with the fingerprint reader. I had a bad experience with this, and now I'm using only hydrogel that works fine.
Hidrogel protectors are a very good option, they are cheap, no need to buy from expensive brands, because they are very cheap, you can buy several, and replace them as often as you desire, they are really easy to aply, and no bubbles after some hours after the colocation in case some remain at the moment of placement, I bought 6 of them for 3 dollars in aliexpress

Do you all have a recommended screen protector from amazon that I can buy?
some time ago, I used armor suit protectors, they are made in England, but are of the "wet" aplication method , those protectors are slightly thicker, and have an "orange skin" like appearance whe the screen is off, are self healing to some degree, I think they were 8-10 dollars for front and back set
I'm not searching for something thick, I'm searching for something strong.
I can't find hydrogel with good reviews on amazon, there are some on aliexpress.
Can someone send me a link to a good sp?
Just get this one and thank me later EGV Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
I think you can get this on aliexpress. Hydrogel film that protects front sides and back. it's what I'm using for myself and my wife.

Question Tempered glass

Has anyone found any good tempered glass? UK owner here.
I have the Spigen - Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Screen Protector GLAS.tR EZ Fit (2-pack). The fingerprint reader takes a major hit with glas protector vs with naked. But it works alright if you don't have super dry fingerstips. I do have Samsung's own plastic screenprotectors waiting on the side. I hear they work well with the fingerprint reader.
I have the glas paired up with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus 5G - Black. It's a great combo.
So it's better to just stick with the TPU protectors to avoid problems with the fingerprint scanner?
You need to delete your finger prints and reregister after installing a glass screen protector otherwise it won't work very well

That's true, but still the fingerprint won't work nearly as good as without a screen protector glas. Fingertip must be a little bit moist for it to work well. If it's dry, it won't work at all. I'm tempted to remove this and test out the Samsung's own plastic screen protector.
Don't forget....
Settings > Display > Touch sensitivity > Toggle on

Hey, did you stick the glass on first and put it in the case or first the case then the glass?

The glass first because the easy fit system won't fit with a case on.

Surprised that fp still sucks on the galaxy series. Op 7T I'm now, fp works 100% of the time with and tempered glass.

That is the way with the ultrasonic sensors, they don't like glass protectors. On the other hand, they are faster and better (most of the cases) with plastic protectors or without protection. On the other, other hand...they suck with dry fingers. My wife can't use the reader on s22 at all and for me it is lightning fast.

Oh noes, I'm coming from a 7T without a screen protector and I use my fingerprint sensor probably 100+ times a day lol. I ordered a Spigen tempered glass screen protector. I hope I can get my fingerprint to recognize relatively accurately..
My phone should be here tomorrow but the screen protector won't be here till the following day. Not gonna run my new galaxy naked, my 7t has a couple micro scratches that bug me.
had no issues with the fingerprint on mine, although ive not got a protector on yet. I might not bother as i really like this phone without one.
I don't pay more than £10 for TG but since Samsung struggles with it, I may get the Spigen one

I got X glass from Gadgetshieldz which is really good and sticks well to the screen. This glass protector covers edge to edge which is what I expect in tempered glass and it is smudge-free too, also good with the fingerprint sensor as I tested it out as many times as possible!

I'm using the AmFilm tempered glass myself. Works really well. Initially, it was a bit spotty after I put it on, but then I just deleted and readded my fingerprints and it works super fast. I also really liked the applicator kit that came with this. It has a HUGE dust remove sticker that covers the whole screen, so my application is crystal clear.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMF5R4SL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
The only time it hiccups is when my fingers are either really wet or really dry - and TBH, that's no different than how the scanner worked before the screen protector was applied.
I don't know if they have Best Buy in the UK, but I picked up their brand of tempered glass. It was 2 for $15 USD. Other than a tiny bubble on the left side you can only see when the screen is all white, I'm really happy with it. It also seems to be staying pretty clean. My fingers don't smudge it up too badly. I almost paid $40 for the Zagg but decided to give the Best Buy brand a shot. So far so good.
I use the spigen ones as well and have for multiple devices over the years. I like their camera lens protectors also. Amazon prices are much cheaper than their website prices.
