Question POCO X3 PRO GLOBAL (THEMING/TURN ON MIUI OPTIMIZATION) GONE - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hello guys, i need help i can't install vance yt because the turn on/off miui optimization is gone in developers option. I recently updated my poco x 3 pro 12.0.2 global to 12.0.4 global after update its gone. I can still search it but i cant find it once im in developers option. Any advice or help will kindly be appreciated.
Tried formatting/ download latest package/choose update package .
Still the theming and turn on miui optimization gone.

@cwapasion Are you using Xiaomi.EU ROM? If so, they completely disabled option for turning ON/OFF MIUI optimization for end-user. You can enable it by using any Android terminal, Termux for example, as superuser, but you need to be rooted.
If you're rooted, paste these commands into terminal:
su
setprop persist.sys.miui_optimization false
Then Optimization settings is back in the menu. By the way, Youtube Vanced doesn't require you to turn off MIUI optimization for a long time now. Are you using Vanced Manager from their official site vancedapp.com?

Is there even a way to install a Xiaomi.EU ROM yet, without TWRP?
Anyway, I tried using Vanced Manager on MIUI 12.0.4 and I was getting a "permission denied" error when installing anything from the Vanced Manager, I could install microG manually but installing Vanced itself was a no-go, until I disabled MIUI optimisations. Only then it went through. It's the recommendation I got on their Discord server as well.
What's interesting is, why the option to toggle these optimisations has disappeared for OP, but I still have that option on the same MIUI version... Region related??

POCO X3 Pro Global V12.0.4.0.RJUMIXM
POCO X3 Pro EEA V12.0.4.0.RJUEUXM
OP has Global version, in Europe there is EEA rom.
I am curious what other changes have been made in software by Xiaomi?

@TheReduxPL Well crap, I've mistaken OP's phone with regular Poco X3 NFC model. It complicates things, then. But, there's ADB workaround for this, which should work.
Check it out, OP @cwapasion

Yeah, i don't know if it's a bug because I'm the only one experiencing it since update? I also noticed that my phone has been encrypted after update and the option is gone in dev options.

I'm supposed to get my phone in the mail tomorrow (US based member). Do you know if there is a root method available for this phone?

I updated mine and have the same issue. I am trying to root mine but the wait 168 hours option was the result of unlocking the bootloader for me. So i guess 7 days of waiting

Sorry to hear that, I didn't realize it won't work without root access. I just did the quick search ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It seems like you would need to "su" first (I'm not 100% sure if that's the case though, maybe something else is to blame) which means your device needs to be rooted. But, since there are no custom Recovery for this phone yet, we all have to wait.
@urbanman2004
The best idea is to wait for any official/unofficial releases of TWRP or other recovery projects for this model on XDA thread/s or other forums.
Also, don't forget to start unlocking your bootloader. With Xiaomi timers, you can wait some time ツ

Strange, I am on the exact same version and I have it at the very bottom of the developer options.

Little strange indeed....
But note the version code from MIUI as is different.

Google install on EMU 10.1.1.xxx

Hello
Im searching for a solution to install Google on a devie with EMUI 10.1.1.146
I have a P40 Lite 5G and i was trying some Videos from YT but every time se thame problem.
LZ Play doesn't work wih this EMUI.
I think that is a Global problem with this new EMUI.
Have anybody an idea ????
Thx
Just bought a P40 lite 5g myself on ebay and I'm having the same problem. Like an idiot I updated EMUI when i first started the phone, and now I can't roll it back or install google services as LZ Play won't work. Really nice phone, I think I will just sell it though and get a Xiaomi Pocophone F2 instead. Too much of a headache messing about for days with these youtube video instructions that don't work.
Hi.
wait some time i think it will be a New method.
All other phones will get the Update an will have se same solution.
That's while i think there will be a new solution.
The Phone is realy nice.
I think to have Google on a Huawei Smartphone is interest of Google <=> Huawei
Huawei want to sell phones
Google want to earn money with apps
you can try this
And soon I will release this tool
hello.
I have tried it with the date but it doesn't work.
got the same mesage.
Your Tool in the Video looks amazing.
i hope it will Do a good work.
did You test it on a device with the newest emui like my Phone?
thx
Do you have some screenshot of the error? Just to check what's happening
Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
That's the error
OK, try this
make sure you have:
-no sim card inserted
-language is set to english
-factory reset (because I see you have previously ran a manual installation and services and other components are installed as normal apps) - or delte them manually
-connect to wifi
-restore the "chinese app" using hisuite
put DATE back to 20.06.2020 and disable automatic time
run the "chinese app" and try again
I'll retry with the procedure because I need to FR anyway for the development, can't remember if that was the message I got (your device is not supported when translated)
What Backup to use from Match oder April?
thx
Use the one from this video
this restore should give you a valid lzplay with data
So i have done all
Frist Tab ... error message
changing date
second Tab...error message
The error mesage says that the device is not compatible (trabslate with Google from Chinese)
I think that the Main Problem ist the EMUI 10.1.1

is there a way to test it with your solution?
I think the Problem might be:
1. EMUI (closed Backdoor)
or
2. Unsupported Device

No, this will not fix your phone sadly, it relies on LZplay as all of them, LZplay was that "backdoor" that allowed it. You can try to find some downgrade rom or tutorial (maybe this one I linked, can't be for sure since I have the older emui)

Thank You for Your Support.
With the HiSuite i can't go back toa a previous Version of the EMUI.
So i understand that in the moment i'ts difficult to find a solution.
Today i will try it a few Times with the solution you told me yesterday.
After some tries today still the same.
It doesn't work ?
Yeah, sadly you can't do anything there, unless there is a firmware (older one). One could try downloading adb, running "adb logcat -f /sdcard/log.txt" , running lzplay and after the error pops up press Ctrl-c in command prompt. Maybe the log will tell more

Any way to uninstall/disable the Mi Getapps app?

It's causing battery drain issues and I'm unable to uninstall it like the rest of the Xiaomi bloatware.
You could disable it through adb?

I'm not sure you can. I've used the Xiaomi Fastboot tool to disable all the other apps, but this wasn't in there.
Hi, as I come from Huawei phones, I use this tool, Multi-Tool for Huawei, there web site is HERE and a link to the download is HERE. See screent shot attached and how I disable apps a little easier. Worth a try
If you successfully disable it, you will not boot, The only way to get rid of it is flash global ROM

I thought it might be something like that. I will flash the EU ROM once my bootloader has been unlocked which should solve the problem.

Apps won't install on my rooted Poco F2 pro

Hey guys!
This is urgent!!
Since I've rerooted my android with magisk, I've had a problem. Sometimes when I want to install an application of the internet, it won't install. It will download, yes, but when I want to install it into my phone, it prompts me to open it in another app or share it. When I click that, it says there was an error. But the thing is, it shouldn't even ask me that. Normally I should be able to directly install the app but it won't. This problem doesn't happen always, but it occurs now and then and more frequently lately..someone please help me and tell me why exactly this is happening?? I can't install any apps like this.
thanks
my device is also rooted with magisk,i never had any profile.May be problem is safety net, use safety net fix module and restart the device

I download the stock Rom of rjmixm and extract the boot.img.
Then I install Magisk manager and click on" select and patch file". I choose the boot.img and click on "let's go". After magisk patches it, it got renamed to something like "boot_patchedVmK" or whatever. I copy it to my computer and flash it via command - - > flash boot boot_patcherVmK...img". After successful flashing of the patched boot.img onto my phone, I restart it. Then my phone is rooted.

I'd experienced this same "Share" issue.
Go to Settings - Developer Options and check to see if the "Turn on MIUI optimisation" is ENABLED.
I found that fixed the "Share" issue for me.

Rooting Oneplus 7 Pro using magisk soft-bricks my deivce.

I tried rooting my oneplus 7 pro using magisk with two different boot.img both time the device got soft bricked, wi-fi stopped working no volumes at own. i did get root access but i loose wi-fi connectivity and audio of my device.
I tried factory reset after rooting but it won't fix issue either.
I am currently on Oxygen OS 11.0.1.1.
Anyone having same issues? Or your magisk root works just fine? Any other way to root my OP7 pro.
A device's Android is rooted when SU ( AKA root ) is present.
Since Android 6 by default Toybox is part of any Android distribution. This Toybox release is restricted, means SU subcommand isn't supported. Hence all you have to do to get Android rooted is to replace pre-installed Toybox version by Toybox v0.8.5 what isn't restricted, will say contains SU support. Only requirement: ~200KB free space is available in /vendor/bin directory.

There is no TWRP for our device afaik yet. I think you have to place the ROM file in the root folder, go to Settings -> My Device -> MIUI Version, then press like 10 times on the big "13" icon, then press 3 dots under the battery icon and select "Choose update package".
That didn't work for me though for some reason, but you can try.

Magisk supports android 13 afaik, so yes, you can reinstall it.
Just installed via fastboot and I dont notice any huge differences although I am now failing CTS on safteynet which I wasnt before I updated.
i'm not going to type it out again but if you search my posts in this forum there is an easy way to download the file to your phone, use a magisk module and tape on miui update like 10 times and then you can flash the file through the phone updater without having to hook up to computer
sigh, apparently hard bricked my phone. Can't get fastboot to pop up even... Will EDL method revive my phone? Recommend anyone for the service?
Could anyone tell me if it is worth upgrading to MIUI 14? What are the new features on the Fold 2? Does it have a taskbar like Samsung Fold? Are all Magisk modules compatible? Does Pokémon Go work?

Same **** with mi 11 ultra
They are extremely stupid can't gave us good ROM
With new features
And smoother experience
They can't make good ROM for fold 2
So you're telling me I waited for the new Android 13 and it's nothing new. I was hoping for a better experience with the phone, so now I have to wait for someone to make a custom ROM with TWRP.
