I can't download anything from that site. Linkvertise refuses to give me a link, even with all adblocks disabled and watching their stupid ads.

That site is trash. I tell you that I managed to download the apk, installed and use it. But you can't change between the rear cameras, you can't use the front camera (at leat I don't find a way to do it). So I'll keep using the Sammy camera and play a little more with pro mode.

This config works great on my S20 FE Exynos:- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fr2tTrKMKot_tJNp4wyyR6Vk-5hIXvP-/view?usp=sharing
Place the GCAM folder in your internal storage, open the GCAM app, double tap on the black area around the shutter button and select default.xml
**Please make sure you're using ZGCAM 6.1**
Night Sight is better than stock with a tripod.

I know this is for the S20FE Snapdragon but there is some info on config settings
[GCam] Google Camera for Galaxy S20 FE 5G | GCam 8.1 LATEST (cyanogenmods.org)

I've been playing around with this for a few days now. This is on the latest Wichaya apk which is still on 7.3 but it still works well for me:
Wichaya: GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.1_Wichaya_V3.1.1.apk

I've attached my config file for Snapdragon models. All lenses working with the correct label, selfie is showing the correct framing with no crop. Haven't tweaked many advanced features but for all intents and purposes the app is functioning as if it was made for this phone and I'm fairly pleased with the results. A few cons to this as it is not the latest GCam version and video is inferior but I tend to stick with the stock Samsung app for that.
Snapdragon only!

Have you tried Latest Arnova beta?Do you manage to make work auxialiary lens?I think quality is better with 8.1 version.

You can get tele working by setting tele id to 52. Wide and ultrawide are working oob.

If anyone has a good config for the latest arnova please do share. Snapdragon model. The ultrawide cam output is terrible and I can't tweak it, viewfinder is a bit blurry, autofocus only sosom telephoto takes a photo but gets stuck for a while on HDR+ processing. Sometimes the tele photo saves but it is really poor quality. Main cam works well. Still playing with the settings.

Trying to downloading

somebody posted a thread on reddit with a recommendation for a version of Arnova GCam and a link to both the apk and config.
it appears to be working with all cameras, I've only tested it briefly but if anyone is interested...

Lol thanks yes looks like my config I posted in another thread.

in that case, thank you sir
*tip of the hat to you
EDIT: telephoto performance is abysmal for me. huge lag and what looks like digital zoom.

Here is my latest xml
I prefer a more natural look so have been trying to tone down the saturation a bit. Pretty happy with the results so far. Telephoto should work well.

Best Camera for RNote 7

I've found a lot of topics but none discuss in fact wich is the best camera app for Redmi Note 7 (Global Version).
I love the camera lens, but the stock camera app not so much... Wich one you thing is the best camera app ever for Redmi Note 7 Pro?
Paid, Ported, Free,...
I'm also very interested in this.
I've never installed a different camera app to a phone before, but the default app doesn't seem very good, and if there's better to be had I want it.
I constantly hear praise for Gcam, but it sounds like there's many different ports of it and no real clear answer on which one works the best.
Bumping this question, and ignoring the fact that the OP is talking about lavender and not violet, but are there any good Camera apps for the RN7P yet?
I've got the China RN7P and i've flashed crDroid onto it, but now that i'm looking into it, i'm having trouble finding a good working cam.
All of the Gcam ports i've tried have failed to recognize the 48MP rear camera, and completely hides the "Gcam settings" option so I can't even re-balance the terrible saturation.
I've also tried crDroid's default camera and Open Camera from the play store, both of which also didn't let the rear camera go above 12MP, and the pictures they took didn't stand up to what even the 12MP Gcams took (minus ruined saturation).
So is there anyway to get Gcam with 48MP and functional settings working on a custom rom, or is there any third party camera app that can recognise the 48MP on a custom rom and get close to Gcam's quality?
and if no to both of those, any idea how long it might take for a working 48MP camera to be working on a custom rom'd RN7P?

Excuse the messy living room pictures, and the fact that they're rotated despite being upright on my pc
but there's no difference at all, even in the properties of the images.
Pretty much same image quality, exact same resolution, and the settings still only says 12MP without an option for 48MP.
The first image is from 'camera' and the second image is from 'portrait' (which for some reason always takes pictures in burst mode).
Also I don't really know what level of quality I should be getting from the RN7P's camera, but I get the feeling they shouldn't be this visibly blurred and noisy.

I own the Chinese Redmi Note 7 Pro (Violet)
Back when I was on MIUI 10, the MIUI camera app did recognize the 48MP camera, so it does have it.
Unless I somehow got sent the Indian version instead, in which case, i'd be pretty upset because it also has worse bands for my country too.

I tried both the xtreme and fu24 versions of gcam posted here in the Mi 9 forums, but both of them still only let me go up to 12MP in the settings.
The xtreme version took identical pictures in both 'camera' and 'portrait' mode just like the other gcams I've tried, and the fu24 version refused to even take a picture in 'portrait' mode.

Hey can you try the Gcam 6.1.021 Note7pro
I can't post the download link because I'm a New member sorry. ?
You have to use portrait mode to get full 48MP photos.
Also to get the best possible results increase the saturation to 1.6 in settings and in Gcam settings enable HDR+ for portrait mode and disable Zoom in portrait mode to avoid the crop that Gcam has on it's photos.

I appreciate you trying to help, but I've tried 3 different ports of Gcam 6.1.021 and one port of Gcam 6.2.something
Even in portrait mode, the pictures it takes aren't 48MP, I've even posted examples in this thread.

12MP, and a resolution of 4000x3000

Just a thought here because I might be wrong but could gcam only be finding 12mp because of the pixel binning? Essentially, from what I've read and seen the sensor combines 4x 12mp to create the 48mp. I'm running the rn7 myself and see no difference between 12mp and 48mp in pro mode apart from being able to zoom slightly more on the higher mp shot.

Actually, the main camera sensor is a real Sony IMX586 48MP. The reason you don't see any difference between 12MP and 48MP is because both the photos are coming from a same sensor. It's just that the former one is pixel binned to decrease photo size and capture more light.
I believe True 48 MP mode can only be accessed using proper camera libs. Otherwise you can only get the 12 MP Mode

I'm using the S10 Port and I doesn't give an option for a wide angle lens and any setting with the front facing option will keep crashing upon taking a picture. Everything else seems to work fine, including the night option. . I hope an apk comes out soon, as there is a significant difference in quality vs the default camera on the Note 10 +. After seeing the results, I don't even want to open the default camera. The amount of noise and non-focus is a turn off for me.

I've been using 1+ 7 Pro ports for the past month. Everything works afaik (aside from switching to telephoto manually). Many ports are available in Tele groups where Arnova, and other porters reside. Links to these groups can't be shared on the forum ofc, against the rules.
How can we get access? I have tried so many different version. I'm on Note10+ US Snapdragon.
I can't find anything that supports Wide Angle, Portrait, or RAW. All files come out in 600 resolution when using raw/dng.

[REQUEST] Galaxy S20 Ultra/Note 20 Ultra Camera Port

Hi all,
I have no idea at all about this sort of thing. Assuming there's not a proprietary Samsung framework the Samsung camera app is dependent on, is it at all possible to port the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra/Note 20 Ultra Camera app the the Mi 10? Given the main camera module is much the same, would it not theoretically work?
Thanks,

I assume you probably used old configs \ gcam versions?
Details wise, there is no comparison - gcam blows stock out of the water.
I do think that stock sometimes handle exposure \ colors better , but you can change gcam configurations to your liking.
No, I haven't used my own configs. As I said in my post I've used multiple XML files to load configs.
At 100% crop, the stock camera resolves much more fine detail than gcam.
EDIT: I used the latest versions linked in this thread.
I've since used the Burial version of the gcam app and I'm getting much better results although I'm not sure it blows the stock app out of the water. I'd still be interested to see how the Samsung camera app goes considering they share the same sensor and the Note 20 Ultra photos from the main camera are much better than the Mi 10 particularly in low light.

Here you go, save as .xml file and place it in GCAM/Configs folder. Then double tap in the black area in the ZGCAM app around the camera shutter button and select your config file.
Works great for night mode, and especially in-door photos. Out in the sun, doesn't work as good as stock. And in extreme lowlight conditions, you're better off with stock. This config works best for low-medium light settings.
The ZGCam works (not the front cam) but did not see so much difference generally from stock. Maybe a bit in nightsight.
This latest version of BSG GCam looks promising. not everything works but main cam, ultrawide and night mode (rear) do.
Front cam does not save photos (any solution through settings?)
Its ultra customisable, i got lost in settings....
My main problem is blown highlights in daylight. Exposure slider down gives wrong exposure to view finder, images come dark.
I tried to adjust exposure compensation
Settings -> Modules -> Back 1.0 -> exposure compensation +1 , but this gives me overall darker images, have to use google photos autofix to get a proper day image.
Then there is RAM PATCHER, i got lost in there.
Settings -> Modules -> Back 1.0 -> image processing -> Enable RAM patcher -> Exposure: -Enabled -> Exposure settings: Chaos
If anybody has some tips or created an XML for this latest 8.1 version from BSG MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1r (BSG, 2021-09-08) please share.
Will try nightsight tonight and report.
EDIT: Tried nightsight, found no difference than stock night sight, except that its faster processing. Newer HDR+ didnt do something, trying different models also did nothing. Stock nightmode handles bright lights a bit better.
Tip if you gonna try this mod, leave models as they are. In case you get 2 sliders for shadows and highlights that dont work in the view finder, just clear cache and data and re-set the app. Haven't tried astro (not my thing)

Question Camera - good enough or need gcam?

Coming from pixel pro 6. Love the camera, hate the size of phone. Know I'm giving up some great features by going smaller but what are you early owners seeing with the camera? Anyone planning on finding a gcam ported to it? Heard someone ported google photos also so magic eraser would work.
Thoughts please why I impatiently wait on my phone to arrive.
Good enough. Definitely better than than my Flip 3
The 3 seemed to lack detail and colour for me.
I've been searching xda for the gphotos port with magic eraser, but nothing is coming up for non pixel devices... Let me know if you know where it is plz!
Samsung now has object eraser, works same, however you could try this: https://www.smartprix.com/bytes/how-to-get-pixel-magic-eraser-on-other-android-phones/

I took some Flip 4 pics today to see how it goes, the color rendering seems ok, decent photos in good light conditions. No overkill, just point & shoot camera - things we were expecting from this phone.
The camera on this phone is definitely no Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro; however, I think that should be a given when upgrading. I installed The Greatest GCam port and was impressed. The issue with the ports that I have found is that they don't mimic the new camera software on the Pixels. The one that was closest did something weird with my camera lens and made everything spherical looking.
Been using pixel since pixel 1, the camera is not as good as pixel's, even compared to a pixel 3 (2018).
The picture took by Samsung is more colorful than pixel, more colorful than real.
And the picture took at night is worse than pixel. Pixel's algorithm (night sight) is absolutely needed.
Is there any working G Cam port? Thank you.
Haven't found a gcam port that doesn't crash yet, but Adobe is working on a camera app that is suppose to have similar AI to Pixel, along with some other great stuff. Don't know when it will be released though
The camera is certainly a step up from last year's device but not quite flagship grade.
It excels in well-lit areas absent of any fast moving objects.
A working GCAM port might convince to me to reconsider it as a daily driver (as I literally have no other qualms with the device).

Tried the BSG camera port. The good news is that everything seems to work. The bad news is that I took a number of test comparison shots with the Samsung camera (both lenses, night mode, portrait mode). The Samsung photos were clearly superior each time. If nothing else, makes me feel good about the camera built into the phone.

Can you take the selfie using the front camera? I tried G Cam from all mods and non of them has a working front camera. You can preview from the front camera, but you can't save the image.
As for the "superior", it's just personal tastes. Many people like the raw and real feeling of the G cam. Samsung's camera is too "vivid", the sky is bluer and the trees are more green, FAKE. And often lost the details because of the color management. G Cam, just captures the real world most of time.

Sorry, I've already deleted G Cam, so I can't test the selfie cam. Didn't think to try it.
Came from S22U, so my experienceis not applicablefor everyone.
For sure, the camera is not like in that phone, especially I'm missing the telephoto one. Night shots are more messy and such.
On the other hand though, it's not that bad at all. Night shots are doing what it supposed to do, day photos are great.
In my mind, I can say that the cameras on Flip 4 gets "Decent +" mark
