First, you need unlocked bootloader !
If you want to flash safe and secure, go to fastboot.
(Keep pressed keys: Power + Vol.Down and wait for fastboot logo.)
You can find a hude amound of videos in youtube too, about how enter in fastboot and how flash using fastboot.
Certainly, it helps alot.
If you want to flash the original stock vbmeta, download and flash vbmeta.img.
If you want to flash the original stock recovery, download and flash recovery.img.
If you want to root, you need to download and flash the magisk_patched.img to the boot.
You can flash the image files according your MIUI version and it will works perfectly.
If you want TWRP, you need to go to: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...for-merlin-redmi-10x-4g-redmi-note-9.4227759/
REMEMBER: if you want to flash a custom boot, like magisk patched, or a custom recovery, like TWRP, you need to disable verity and disable verification on vbmeta ! Otherwise, your device will be bricked.
Here, you can find PATCHED vbmeta (disabled verity and disabled verification): https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-10x-4g-xiaomi-redmi-note-9.4221075/
So, you need to flash all this for rooting and twrp:
Code:
fastboot flash boot MAGISK_PATCHED.IMG
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.IMG
fastboot flash vbmeta VBMETA_VD171.IMG
For reboot, you can type:
fastboot reboot
Good luck

If you can enter in fastboot mode, be careful for don't bricking it.
It can help to solve your problem.
Well, does your device keep rebooting forever?
Or does it stops on a frozen black screen?

So, you've flashed any file by mistake.
If you can see the word "Redmi" and you can't see the word "MIUI", probably the problem is with boot.
If you can see the word "MIUI", probably your problem is with the userdata.
What were your last steps before it got bootloop?
Can you enter in recovery mode too?
Did you flash vbmeta?

I can see only the redmi name. And it keeps bootlooping.
I flashed the following file in fastboot mode.
PBRP-Note9-V11.0.4.0.QJOCNXM-20210114-wzsx15. I got this in the Lineageos 17 thread. Didnt realise it was the wrong version fo rmy Stock ROM which is 12.0.6
After this, when I rebooted, it keeps boot looping.
Have flashed vbmeta.
Not able to enter recovery mode.

Normally, the recovery partition doesn't break the boot.
Unhappy, V11.0.4.0 recovery projects, works only with MIUI V12.0.4.0 or lower.
For V12.0.5.0 or higher, you need to flash the V12.0.6.0 recovery project.
I think the problem is with vbmeta, because it can break the boot.
Did you flash vbmeta with flags "--disable-verity --disable-verification" ?

You may try my already patched vbmeta: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4218909/
You can flash it without using the flags, it is already patched on its content.

So I tried patching the vbmeta file. Now its stuck on the Redmi screen, not moving forward.
Can you guide how can I restore to stock MIUI rom? Is there a flashable stock version which can be flashed through fastboot?
Once again, sorry for the multiple queries. My issue is not getting resolved. Thanks for the support once again. Request guidance

Any fastboot version, can be flashed through fastboot
Here, you can find original stock rom for Merlin: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/merlin/
If you flash the whole firmware, certainly it will unbrick your device.
If it keeps in bootloop after flashing the whole firmware, you just need to wipe data.

You need to extract it, and then flash manually or using the flash_all_except_data.bat or flash_all.bat
KEEP AWAY of the flash_all_lock.bat this file will LOCK your bootloader again !!!
You can flash it using MiFlash too, see those:

Tried the steps above. The MIflash tool initially gave error that the folder (extracted ROM) cannot be found.
I tried to manually run the .bat file, now it is a black screen. NO response, not switching on or off. When connected to the PC, it does make the connected sound in the PC. But nothing on the screen. I think I hard bricked.
Wasted half my day and yours too. I think ill take this to the Service centre. Cant see any other solution

What was result of the .bat file?
Did it flash all partitions?
If you flashed the ROM and then bricked your device, apparentely this is not the properly rom for your device.
Are you sure you have a Redmi Note 9 or a Redmi 10X 4G ?
Go to black screen, plug usb cable and try "adb devices".
Does it show your device?

Question Proper Rooting for OnePlus 9?

Would anyone be able to direct me or send me the proper information on how to root my OnePlus 9 global LE2115? Because their are to many threads and Im getting confused
You can either use boot.img or you can boot into twrp and flash magisk.apk. 2 options for A11
I have issues rooting LE2115_11_C.44 (Lastest update android 12)
I try patched with Magisk:
fastboot boot boot.img
and that's ok, device is rooted, but when reboot my device don't keep root, so I try:
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
and device go into loop in bootloader then I rolled back flashing stock boot.img
I tried install TWRP from https://dl.twrp.me/lemonadep/ using
fastboot boot twrp.img
The TWRP logo appear and next show "Qualcomm crush dump mode"
I need help

A12 root method is different. Not like A11 where you flash the patched boot.img,it won't work. VBmeta and a vendor.img is used also. Also, TWRP is for A11. If you want root,Use the tool here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...xyysds-root-toolbox-coloros-oxygenos.4341167/
Use option 5 and then 6 and reboot. Magisk will be installed. Click the magisk app and update it.

901SO,Softbank Xperia 5,With camera no working in Android 11

Yes,I have a Bootloader unlocked 901SO
SoftBank doesn't offer an Android 11 upgrade for their custom-built Xperia 5. I tried upgrading via Sony's custom build of Android 11 for other carriers, and the device booted without a hitch, but the camera didn't work.
This situation seems to be related to the oem.sin.I tried flashing other custom versions of Android 10 firmware, using OTA to upgrade, but the system cannot be booted without flashing the original version oem
Interestingly After flashing the public firmware, the camera works fine, but after I fix modem,it strikes again. Is there a way to fix this so that SoftBank versions of devices can be upgraded to Android 11?

Flash to global rom doesn't make your device bootloader unlocked. If you have 'Bootloader unlock allowed: No' you need to unlock it manually with S1 Network Unlock Tool (and you must buy 1 server credit, it's arround £23)
For the guide, you can find it on here

I haven't try J8210 firmware cause it will make NFC malfunction. Alternatively, you could try SOV41 Android 11 firmware and update it through OTA (it will keep your NFC function enable)

Stock boot.img is required for ota. Flash stock boot image then update.
To root again, get the boot.img for the software version your phone is running on and patch with magisk. Flash the patched boot.img and voila you have rooted.
Glad that you did. Any idea about custom rom on Narzo 30 Pro? as Realme excluded this device in her Android 14 update.
I am using Realme 3.0. Any good way to root and unlock bootloader without getting bricked?
Oops! We broke the matrix. Someone call Neo!
getting this error while try to download any file

X50 Pro bricked (wrong boot.img flashed) please help!

Hello, i have the RMX2075 version (not sure what's different with RMX2076 by the way..?) updated it to last version, which is "RMX2075_11_C.25". I wanted to root, for that i needed the boot.img file, i found on andrealmefirmware.com the fimrware "RMX2075GDPR_11_C.25" - GDPR means EU too, so i thought it's the right one. I extracted vbmeta and boot files with OFP extractor and patched the boot with magisk, then went in fasboot mode and entered the commands to root which can be found here.
Problem : phone won't boot, i get the warning "boot/recovery has been destroyed, phone cannot boot". I have had the ozip of an older firmware in the phone storage, but it refused to flash, because older! Not sure it was a mistake but i did format data. Anyway, RealmeFlashTool won't flash that "RMX2075GDPR_11_C.25" firmware, it says "cannot find directory". I'm stuck.. Anybody has the boot.img of that specific "RMX2075_11_C.25"? Or any instructions on how to recover.. Hope to get replies, thanks!
Ok, good news : when i flash the original boot.img of that "RMX2075GDPR_11_C.25" firmware, i don't get the error and i can boot. I still don't understand why it won't boot after i enter those :
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Which i patched with magisk (tried various versions). It doesn't make much sense to me..? Also would like to know which firmware file i need to downgrade to RUI 1.0 (and where to find it).

You need SP flash tool, and mtk auth bypass just download it, bypass mtk auth and go to sp flash tool, on auth file section select mtk scatter file from miui fastboot rom/images folder, and on sp flash tool un select every file except boot or boot.img
And click the download button [ must be sure that you need to only download the boot.img file,no other file.]
After download,you can go fastboot
If you can't understand

And after downloading I have to flash the vbmeta.img before flashing patched boot image? But why? vbmeta is already included in the rom. Can you please explain this.

You need to flash vbmeta for disabled verified boot, otherwise patched boot.img is not verified,so flashing patched boot.img will be fail or will be cause of a bootloop
And as i know on recovery rom you won't get the boot.img file, but i,m not sure if you got on recovery rom then it's also file,i will work, and i,m 100 % sure, and vbmeta is inside the rom for enable verified boot, but you need to disable it to flash patched boot img file, its necessary for most of the devices, but in some device, its not necessary, but why would you take risk of a unwanted bootloop?
Disable vbmeta command
fastboot --disable-verification --disable-verity flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
Any other query's ?, just reply....

Thank you very much. I thought I have to flash using fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img. But now I can understand, the command is not for flashing. It's for disabling verification.

Tutorial Install Custom rom Selene
Requirements :
- Unlocked Bootloader
- PC / Laptop with working adb fastboot, SP Flash Tools
- recovery and fastboot MIUI Stock ROM ( ID, EEA, Global, CN, Taiwan / pick one that work, or your currently ROM Version )
- put your recovery miui ROM & custom rom to Microsd / OTG
How To : (If you never update OTA then go STEP 1, else go STEP 2)
- BACKUP YOUR IMEI FIRST (on twrp and backup it to another storage or cloud)
STEP 1
- boot to fastboot mode
- flash twrp / ofox command type on minimal adb fastboot "fastboot flash boot nametwrpfile.img" (make sure the twrp file on same folder at the minimal adb fastboot folder)
- press vol + & power
- Format Data
- Yes
- install / flash MIUI Recovery rom, check reflash TWRP / OFOX
- reboot to "BOOTLOADER"
After reboot to bootloader,Device will be in fastboot.
- flash vbmeta " fastboot --disable-verification --disable-verity flash vbmeta vbmeta.img " (make sure the twrp file on same folder at the minimal adb fastboot folder)
- reboot "fastboot reboot " ( if success booting up to system go to STEP 2, if not success, read again from start )
STEP 2
- no need to setup anything, you can skip all that MIUI Setup
- reboot to twrp recovery, press vol + & power
- Format Data
-Yes
- install / flash Custom rom with check automatically reflash TWRP after flashing a ROM checked
- reboot ( If you skipped STEP 1 and not booting, back to fastboot or TWRP, then Go to STEP 1 first, if can't boot to either TWRP / Fastboot, Then you need MTK Bypass + SP Flash Tool)
- ( If you DONE STEP 1 but still no luck check SPECIAL CASE )
- DONE
SPECIAL CASE
if your phone bootloop on mi logo, then do:
- reboot to twrp/recovery, press vol + & power (wait it, be patient)
-If not boot on TWRP, Go to Fastboot
-Reflash TWRP [fastboot flash boot twrp.img]
-Now Boot in to TWRP
- install image boot.img on boot partition from miui rom you have used on first step (see above)
- reflash twrp, install image twrp.img on recovery ramdisk
- [Even if you go to TWRP Without Reflashing again, you still need to flash boot.img on boot and twrp on ramdisk]
- reboot system
- setup phone with ur mobile internet data (if the custom rom have gapps), cause ur wifi bluetooth hotspot are died
- go to twrp again, install custom kernel to fix bug wifi hotspot bluetooth (but u can't instal yukina starlight, it will make bootloop, use another I Will Recomend Yukina Stamine)
- done u can reboot system
N.B. - If You are in MIUI 13,Then it will won't Work,First Downgrade to MIUI 12.5.xx
N.B. - Just Do Normal Format,Dont Wipe like Delvik, cache,System,Vendor etc.
N.B. - Try To Take All Files(Twrp.img,boot.img,miui recovery.zip,Custom rom zip, custom kernel.zip) In your Memory card and Avoid Use OTG
