By doing that.....it enables developer options.....which i have already enabled.....but when you search for power menu....it shows in search results......but the actual power menu option is missing in the developer settings...

I mean under phone specifications, there you see ram,cpu and so on.

Maybe is rom dependent and is disabled by default. I'm on global and have the same problem but from what I can see is only to monitor FPS, which you can probably use a different app for that

yes.....this option is for monitering fps......
also there are more hidden/disabled options such as paper mode(which i discovered from activity launcher).......performance mode....etc

There are a lot of features disabled on global stable that probably will never be enabled unless you use China or EU rom

OxygenOS/Adroid Pie keeps autokilling or refreshing background apps

So ive been having this issue recently where the phone will turn off apps that i want to run in the background and i cant figure out a way to fix it. The biggest issue is with AdGuard. When im using it, the phone will randomly kill the background process and the vpn will turn off allowing all the adds to come pouring in. I've mentioned this issue on the oneplus forums and nobody there seems to know how to fix it. I'm considering moving to a custom rom once i find one that works well with my needs but first i want to make sure this isnt something that i can fix on the stock rom since i dont really need all the custom settings that come with custom roms. Im running the latest stable 9.0 pie/OOS.
Thanks for any help in advance
When you open the recent app tab press on the 3 dots right above the app. The press lock. That worked for me
did you set it to not optimize in battery settings?
under battery optimization. disable advanced optimization.

Ive enabled the lock and it still clears it and i have to reopen the app and re-enable the lock
Ive also set background process limit to be unlimited in the developer options. I cant think of anything else to do except maybe install adguard as a system app???? I've seen that this problem occured with the OP5 as well and people modified build.prop to increase the process limit, i've since found out that the option thats in the build.prop file is gone in the OP6 so i cant do that either. This is driving me crazy and i dont even know if its related to the os or the kernel.

Ran into the same issue. Turns out it's the always on display. Turning it off in the settings wont work the only way to do it is disabling it entirely. The only way I found do it is disabling the app with adb or buying package disabler pro online and disabling it with that app.
Hey Jazz,
You hit the nail on the head. I went directly to the PluginAOD service and disabled it.
I really appreciate the help!
What app are you guys disabling as I cannot find it in all apps list
What's the app or service name?
Thanks

I'm using CCSWE App Manager (Samsung) from the Play Store.
Look for "Always on Display" and then disable the PluginAOD service

Does this allow you to still use Always on display?
Edit: I answered my own question, nope.
Hello Folks,
I ran into the same issue for my Note 10 + and I think am on the track of resolving this gracefully. I know of a developer who has created custom AODs which can disable a lot of elements of the system AOD, like clock battery etc for Note 9.
I have just contacted him here on the forum requesting for a paid version to fix this issue. It's just about removing a few lines of code from the AOD app which will resolve the issue.
Can you please support my post here and request Mr. Ash Man for help ? I am sure he will be able to fix it. Pls go here to support and read about his AOD mods. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80135868&postcount=223

There's a work around where you don't have to disable AOD or install any other apps. It's posted in one of the other half dozen threads about this issue. A quick search, or even just browsing the thread titles, and you should find it pretty easy.
Wow, what a helpful post. Thanks for providing no help or guidance to these answers with a simple link. If you can't halp, then don't comment
There is an option now to turn it off now (not sure if it is in android 10 only). Go to
Settings -> Display -> go to the bottom and search "Show charging information"

Developper Menu unlocked but won't open

As per the title, I've enabled the Developer Options menu by tapping the build number 7 times, the entry appears in the Settings menu but when I try to open it I get a message : "You must first Enable Developer Options". Is there another setting hidden somewhere else ? I can't find anything by using the built-in search engine.

Hello, No there isn't.
Reboot the phone, tap build number again 7/8 times and see if it works again. If your on branded firmware it's sometimes disabled.

I already tried this several times before posting here, and I'm running the stock Samsung ROM. Weird thing is it used to work some time ago.

Tasks and background processes automatically killed

Hello,
I am using Poco F2 Pro with official global rom 12.0.3. I am facing the following issue:
I have some apps with background processes but the background processes are automatically killed after some time. For example the tool 'Screenshot Touch' needs to run in the background so that I can select it in the menu to make screenshots. But it is killed after some hours.
In the battery optimization, I have already excluded this app. Also, I have disabled the 'MIUI Optimization' in the developer options.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thank you and best regards

Try to make this tweaks
1.In settings go to apps-find the app what you want and click on it-at battery saver select no restrictions -turn on autostart option
2.press the button to enter in recent apps- find your app-long tap on that app and press the lock
Personally i use this for notify for miband

Yeah, for now just lock all apps that you use often, that works most of the time until you open GCam or the stock cam then it goes to sh*t again, I hope they fix this soon.

first disable battery optimization for the app, then long click your app, go to app info and allow automatic restart.

Battery optimization is disabled. But I did not find the option allow automatic restart.
But what seemed to have worked is to lock the app
Thanks

even locking isn't enough sometimes, automatic restart(I don't use English ROM) or automatic start is what you need, it is there in app info page.
i will try!

"More dark mode options" not showing list of individual apps

Hello there,
as written in the title I am trying to figure out why the settings app does not show the apps list to turn off dark mode for sigle applications.
CONTEXT:
MIUI Global 13.0.1 (Android 11), Dark mode enabled.
Some minor (no root/no roms flashing) tinkering has been made on the device, including:
Uninstalled some community-recognized bloatware via adb
Revoked some highly-sensitive intrusive permission for some system/not-system apps from Settings > Privacy Protection > Special Permissions, however no permission has been revoked from the "Settings" app
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR:
Opening Settings > Display > More dark mode options shows a list of apps (under "Individual apps") for whom you can disable the made-in-miui dimming.
OBTAINED BEHAVIOUR:
The "individual apps" list is empy, as shown in the screenshot linked above.
ALREADY ATTEMPTED (AND DIDN'T SOLVE):
Rebooting the device (disappointed, I expected this to work)
Accessing the dark mode settings from the notification area
Opening the settings in split-screen with another app
Opening the settings after opening as many apps as possible to fill the RAM
Waiting 5+ minutes in the "More dark mode options" screen
Swiping the line just above "Individual apps" up
Accessing the settings page while mobile data and Wi-Fi are turned off
What are the other possible ways to solve this? Is there a particular system app who is responsible for the app list showing in this setting? Or is there a way to completely turn off Individual apps dark mode while keeping dark mode on?
Thank you in advance for the replies and screw Xiaomi for making no option for this and making this "in-app-enforced-darkmode-wannabe" enabled by default for every app.
Hum..., bump?
Unfortunately all I can add is I'm experiencing the same issue and haven't found a solution. I think it must have been introduced with an MIUI update as I know in the past the dark mode app list has been populated.

Still not working for me. I did find this thread for a different Xiaomi phone with the same MIUI issue. Seems someone has made a Magisk module if you have a rooted phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...t-miui-13-redmi-note-10.4404923/post-87160523
However I haven't rooted my phone (in case I had any issues with e.g. banking apps) so haven't tried this myself. I'm just hoping Xiaomi eventually fix it in an update.

That is absolutely crazy, how Xiaomi messed up their own software. It has not been showing the apps for me for long now and it is so annoying to have to switch dark mode off entirely every time an app doesnt display elements correctly, just because Xiaomi forces their weird dark mode adaptation into apps that dont support dark mode natively. I dont get how they thought that feature being on by default for every app was a good idea...
EDIT: Also thank you for the link but I don't want to root my phone either, too many security related concerns.
It is working, the UI just stalls when loading the apps list. when you open the "More dark mode options"
place your finger on the line that says "individual apps" and swipe up. if u did it right it will show the list., just keep swiping up from that line until the list shows
This issue was discussed in the xiaomi forums (c.mi) and this is the only way to access the dark mode page.

I tried this several times and in multiple directions (I can actually swipe the interface up), swiping the line app to the top, but it keeps showing no app; there keeps being a problem on loading the list of apps for some reason
