Best Gcam 8.0 Advanced Settings - HOW TO MAKE GCAM 8.0 WORK FOR YOUR DEVICE - Realme X2 Themes, Apps, and Mods

The Gcam Advanced Settings Masterclass is back! Welcome to Gcam 8.0 Advanced Settings where a little tweak can make all the difference...
That Gcam doesn't work perfectly after install doesn't mean that it won't work well as you will see in this Video.
I was disappointed after installing the latest Gcam 8.0 Mod from BSG as the whole thing looked worse that the previous update.

As you can see in the image above both the color was off (completely lacking magenta) and the camera preview freezed the only good thing was that the video was working properly with sharp and accurate colors.
So with the video aspect working fine, I decided to do a step by step guide of how I fixed my camera issues so that it can help some one out their get it right.
First step:
#1 TURN OFF MOTION PICTURE - While motion picture is a great feature for Gcam, it depends more on Google photos and can cause some problems if the Gcam settings is not set to use Google photos, or Google Photos app not being installed or out dated so, the first step is to turn.
That didn't do us any good in this case so I moved on to next.
#2 TURN ON SHOW HDR CONTROL FROM ADVANCED SETTINGS -
This one seems to work the 1st magic. Always Turn on the show HDR control from the settings or in most cases, from the Advanced Settings. This is because if other settings are not right, turning on HDR will make things worse. And immediately we turned it off, the camera preview unfreezed but the color didn't improve.
#3 DEVICE INPUT SETTINGS
If you install a Gcam and some things are not working properly, changing the device input option can be of a great help. By default it was set to Pixel II but from my experience, Pixel IX (Coral) is most compatible for my device Realme X2.
I also tweaker a few things on the preview settings you can see it all HERE

I can't replicate this on mine.
Well, i have received an explanation from a bro, which have find the same situation. He just think that it related to brightness. When the sensor detect the brightness is enough, the 2X camera will run, if it detect brightness is not enough the camera will change to 1X camera. Sothat, when the light in a embarrassing situation(no brightness enough and also not realy dark) this issus will happen, two cameras switch and switch, realy quickly and also again here is a kind of explanation ,so am i.
Try video Pro

Yeah I see what you did there XD. Neat trick.
High light/contrast on the computer screen and no light on the Keyboard...you're asking for problems.
Have you tried using the Pro video app. That's going to get a better shot than the standard camera app.
While I can't possibly see the reason for attempting this kind of shot in low light conditions. I have sort or re-created it on mine but the camera wants to focus on where i hold my finger/thumb; which has next to no visual queues for the hardware/software to recognise so it will do what your are seeing.
I agree that the camera has become a little sluggish in 2X mode in low light. But to be honest I wouldn't have bothered until you posted this.
It's doing exaclty what I would expect it to do under the conditions.

For Front Camera = (16:9) 4.1 mpx

For Night:

Enjoy !!
It doesn't have night mode. And I had to set the shadow saturation from 1.6 to 1 to have normal looking picture.
Thanks, it works great for meeeee}:‑)
It:s just me or i jave notice a way better wide angle when using this app ?
With normal camera, it works ok, but when using this app, the picture and the viewfinder it get way better, like you have wide angle option.... It just take a bigger angle pictures...
I have to say, this is the best camera i have use so far for this phone. It takes amazing pictures with the HDR+ Mode on

Hi @CygnusX2, this thread is being closed since a GCam thread already exists. Kindly continue the discussion in this thread. Having multiple threads for different versions of the same mod is not productive, and it's better to have one single thread where the discussion can take place.
Have a nice day!

[GUIDE] Enable Pixel only features e.g. Background blur, Portrait light, Black and white portrait in all phones using Magisk

Hi there,
If you love the portrait light feature Google introduced with their Pixel 5 and 4a phones and want to install it on your device then you are in luck.

}
You need to be rooted with magisk to do that. All you have to do is fake your device model and you will get this feature almost immediately!
Steps -
1) Install Pixel props magisk module for your phone. If you are using Android 11 download it from here
2) Get portrait light magisk module from here
3) Download NgaResources app from here
4) After downloading the three from above, go to magisk, flash Pixel props magisk and Portrait light module.
5) Then install NgaResources app.
Reboot your phone and install Google Photos afterwards.
6) Open Google photos. After google photos loads up all your pictures. Select one of your selfies and try editing it from there. You will see a notification "updating photos editor". Keep your internet on, it might download some stuff.
7) Get out of Google photos or keep it minimized.
2 or 3 minutes later you will see portrait, portrait light and black and white feature on Google photos.
Note :
1) If it doesn't work. Reboot your phone.
2) If you have Google Photos installed already then clear it's data and follow from step 6
This method will also enable other Pixel features e.g. background blur in old pictures.
Have a nice day!
Does this also enable using the Pixel launcher on e.g. a Samsung device?

No. Only for the features included in Google Photos. You can get pixel launcher from the internet, install it separately or go to magisk and search for Pixelify magisk module.
It will install other pixel features on your phone.
I'd love to install this but none of the files are available?
links down :c can you reupload please

Hi there,
I'm so glad I came across your post. I've been trying to figure out how this feature works in my unrooted Lenovo M10 HD 2ndGen tablet. I see it in Settings/Sound/Sound Enhancement with only one solitary setting and when enabled, nothing changes. Sound is what it has always been, the same, then and now. I've had my tablet for a year now. My question is how does this feature work ? What does BesLoudness require in order to work ? I have disabled certain features of my tablet for security and privacy reasons, for the same reason, some apps are disabled like Maps, Social Media apps. I have also disallowed certain permissions for certain apps that I felt no need to allow since I never used the feature the permission was required for. Somewhere along the way I might have disabled certain settings, or disallowed permissions that unknowingly rendered BesLoudness not to work.
This BesLoudness Volume Booster for Speakers has stumped me for a year now. Thank you for reading this.

General Camera Still Lacking 60FPS For 3rd Party Apps

Hi all,
So I've just updated to the new April release, and have discovered that Samsung are STILL not giving us access to 60fps via the Camera2 API.
I know this is a super longshot, but is there any way of getting around this?
Many people are after this, some for using apps like Filmic Pro, others (like myself) want to utilise the phone as a portable camera, that can use NDI to broadcast video on a wireless network, for use in broadcasting. (This works perfectly in 4K with my current setup, but is lacking of 60fps which would provide much smoother video)
I have contacted Samsung about this, but every time I ask I get NPCs responding to me telling me that it's the App Developers fault, when it most definitely is not. After using an API prober I can see that Samsung do not give any access to request 60fps, only frame rates of 30 and below are allowed to 3rd party apps.

The front and wide angle camera work in 60fps and 120fps with quick video recorder. The powerful main doesn't.
There is a app called "SetEdit" which when given permission via adb, you can add a variable that allows 120hz camera.
Found the forum post.
S21 Force 120Hz!
So this is a huge discovery I made! Myself and many others are annoyed at the fact that Snapchat drops to 60Hz whenever the camera is activated. I found a workaround that allows it and other applications to remain at 120Hz even when the camera is...

Tried it and don't seem to find those settings on my s22U
