No local update option on unlocked 8T - OnePlus 8T Questions & Answers

Anyone else have this issue? I downloaded an update from Oxygen Updater, but I can't install it without the local update option. I know it's there on other OnePlus phones.

Looks like local upgrade is not available on OnePlus8TOxygen_15.O.14_GLO_0140_2009181155 but after updating it to OnePlus8TOxygen_15.O.16_GLO_0160_2010150057 it's available to me
It's odd

So sit and wait? No way to force this?

Use Oxygen Updater from playstore. Problem solved. =)

not this time. the issue is there is no local update option on this phone to use the update downloaded via oxygen updater.

Is OnePlus trying to quash Oxygen Updater? I used it all the time on my 6 and 7 Pro. Worked great. Hope this is not the case. However...I'm not too concerned. I can wait for OTA if necessary.

Anyone looking for Odin flash files, they are available thru samsung firmware tool, just search xda for it. It's about 2gb to download.

Getting mine too
Hey guys, I have a question I hope someone can help me out with. I have the sm-g935v which I flashed to sm-g935u. I'm considering flashing it to sm-g935t since the unlocked firmware will be getting quarterly updates which is unfortunate, and I would like to use samsung cloud, FM radio, and now Nougat. Would I have to factory reset my phone back to the verizon firmware before flashing tmobile's, or can I just flash from my current unlocked firmware straight to tm? Prior to Nougats release, I had downloaded the latest tmobile firmware and tried to flash it with no success so not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OTA
Won't taking the OTA update certain partitions we don't necessarily want to update? Like the BL, for example? Could this prevent rolling back to 6.0.1 if there are issues? Or does this not matter since we don't have an unlocked BL anyway? Thanksssss
Apparently I do not see that update on my phone as of now

The update is for T-Mobile users using the T firmware. You are on the US Unlocked firmware.
I got this also and updated this morning. Very smooth and loving it! Did OTA update and one thing i noticed after updating i wasn't able to clear my cache like before. When i power down, hold all 3 buttons (power, home and up key) get a screen more like a warning saying installing other firmware's or roms can damage my device. Not the exact wording but similar. Has anyone else tried doing that and got the same warning msg?

Roll Back update

US Version MHA-L29C, fully stock, never been rooted...
I installed the US update yesterday (B167) and curious if I wanted to roll back to the previous version (B138) how I would go about it. Would I have to use funkyhuawei or is there somewhere I can get the full download and install it through the stock recovery?

There something wrong with B167?
I'm trying g to determine if HD voice is truly working and if they just removed the HD icon on the call screen. I also am getting some very inconsistent battery. One day I get 10 hours sot, the next 6 sot with the same usage.

Apparently it's a phased roll-out, and my firmware is still stuck on CRE1 since I have the unlocked model firmware, so I'll patiently just wait I guess

Yes need to wait, I hope this will be fixed.
Yesterday I was planning to post:
I find it still hard to understand all the updates from Oppo.
I had CPH2025VF_11_A.26 with 5 may security
then i went downgrade CPH2025VF_11_A.23 with june patch
Now i miss some features like filming with wide angle and smart power save...
any idea if i can undo the damage?

But I guess here I have my answer. I'm new to oppo and as far is I can see there are more frequent updates so far than when I had samsung.
Just wondering why though, must be a bug inside the module that checks whether there's a newer version or just poor administration on their side?

No way I'm sending it away because of there faulty rollback files, all we need is for them to update there website with the latest version, I don't no if they'll ever update it because the UK version on there website is still on may

Type in on Google, coloros/roms.
And select india or some country that has June update, or you can try using a VPN to Italy and get the July update, but vpns don't do nothing for me

I'm on a.25 as well and nothing for me, some people who didn't install the beta still can't get updates maybe we just have to wait longer than others, I don't no why they just can't roll it out to everyone at the same time as we use the same phones

Also, I never had that region setting disappear, from what I could gather it only happened to those who tried the Android 11 beta then used the rollback file to Android 10?

I had no region out of the box and have never updated to android 11... Am on. 30 on my firmware am very confused by oppo and their updates
I was on A.15 since out of box, no OTA received, I have updated manually to CPH2025_11_A.23.
Now again everyone is talking about A.30 but no OTA for me even via VPN.??
Region is UAE. Model CPH2025 global, 5G and volte is working no issue...
Any clue why not receiving OTA at all.
Well this is there response to me.
Ino we are at are own risk installing these builds but not to have a dodgy rollback file that they send to us! So now apparently we all have to send are devices away.

Don't assume you've got a "bugged" version of software. Remember up until today those of us on A.23 couldn't get the update, even by using the VPN method but it didn't mean we had faulty software. Today the update then appeared for us as an OTA as normal.
Perhaps your A.25 version just needs to wait a bit longer and you'll eventually get the update sent to your phone as usual.
