mine is a global on postpaid att
Go into dialer settings #*#*4636*#*# phone info and make sure Nr is selected
AT&T doesn't have the OP9 as a certified phone on their network. There is no way around this, either. I've tried everything and even selecting NR doesn't yield 5G on the device. It has something to do with the bands AT&T users for 5G.
Do you get the 5G symbol or does it just stay on LTE?
You might be able to change "carrier_policy" using the Qualcomm .exe and QTSP .exe on the computer.
I have done it on other phones. there's a guide for it....

Modify OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, 8 and 8 Pro, 9 and 9 Pro NR/LTE-A band combos - MT-TECH.FI
On this instruction we will modify OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, 8 and 8 Pro band combo profiles with Qualcomm software. OnePlus has limited 5G access and 4G+/LTE+ Carrier Aggregation combinations and this instruction help you to unlock. However this instruction doesn’t unlock hardware defined combinations...

You will not get 5G on ATT with this phone. Blame ATT.

This right here. As a former AT&T employee (corporate office, not retail level), I can tell you that it is most likely that the handset does not use the same 5G bands as AT&T.
AT&T primarily uses the n260 band (39GHz mmWave) and the Global OnePlus 9 does not use that band. In fact, none of the models of OnePlus 9 use n260. Now, from what I understand, AT&T *does* provide low-band n5 service in some areas so it IS possible that some users may report having 5G service on their OP9, but it's purely because they're in a low-band n5 area and as soon as they move into a more populated area where it switches to n260Go to and see, their phone will drop back to LTE.
What I can tell you from my real world experience is that 5G is really nothing to write home about. I live in one of the largest markets in the US and 5G is really not any faster than LTE most of the time. In some cases, it's actually SLOWER.

The LE2115 OnePlus 9 has AT&T's low band and C-Band 5G bands, with no mmWave, the LE2125 9 Pro has all of AT&T's 5G bands yet AT&T does not want to whitelist it for 5G access on their network. Verizon certified it for their 5G (OnePlus 9, nationwide 5G, and you can use QPST to enable C-Band on the 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, nationwide 5G, you can use QPST to enable C-Band on the 9 Pro, and mmWave), why can't AT&T?

Tweaking modem and enable 5G

Based on a long, annoying and useless conversation in a thread on Lenovo forum, it come out that Moto Edge will support 5G only on specific mobile operators, based on mutual tests between Moto and the operator (...).
Given the fact that now Edge 20 series has been released, there's almost no chance that Moto would ever enable 5G on every operator.
Does anybody know how to tweak/reprogram modem to activate 5G?
I can guarantee that the phone is 5G capable: in a location where 5G is available, I used the SIM of mine and the one from another operator, resulting in mine not connecting to 5G at all although it's enabled in my mobile plan.
thanks in advance for any suggestion may come

Question 5g on ROG Phone 5

I am having trouble with 5g on my ROG Phone 5 I have verified and reverified that I have 5g coverage with t mobile, that it's turned on in the phone, and that all the imei info on my phone is right. Get 4g but no 5g. I am rather new at this so if it's obvious I'm sorry but I didn't see this in any threads I searched for so I'm at a loss.

Are you in a 5g zone? Do any of your family or friends have 5g in that same area?
Even if all of that is a yes, the RoG Phone 5 only has two (out of 4) 5G bands on tmobile (n41 - 2500 and n71 - 600) so you would only be able to get 5G if the cell tower is using one of those bands in your area.
If the tower is using one of those bands and you still dont have 5G then I am at a loss. You can check tower info by using an app like "Network Cell Info Lite & WiFi" or something similar.
The 5G SA/NSA support for TMB and other US carriers are not good due to the lack of bands supported by phone itself (2 out of 4 for US variant, 1 out of 4 for EU and None for CN). had the same problem. No quick fix for it as you'll likely have to swap to a US version to be semi-fully compatible.
Sometimes you'll also need to enable SA in settings for it to have reception.
Another deep hole: even thought both regarded as WW, EU and US var actually have different supports and it's really hard to tell the diff

Yea ASUS is really weird with their versions and one of the hardest phones to figure out. Assuming OP has the US versions, he would have better luck with 5G on Verizon (5 out 7 bands). The global versions and even if you converted a CN version to WW will practically have no 5G.
I have the RoG Phone 5S Pro which has the same version issues as the regular Phone 5 and 5S. I have the US versions and use Verizon so I get pretty decent 5G service in the US.

Question [INDIA] Airtel 5G connectivity

Hey guys ,
Just wanted to check if anyone was able to latch on to a 5G tower in india where Airtel recently rolled out the service in select cities.
The Airtel Thanks app shows I am compliant - city wise and software wise, but I am unable to connect to the 5g network after switching network types. People seem to be lost even in the Samsung Members app.
If you were able to connect, please share tips and a possible location where you could connect, may be helpful to others as well.
Cheers !
I am in Mumbai, where 5G is available. I stay on 20th floor, where 5g does not latch. When i move down my building, i get 5g network. So guess it depends on where you are staying and if that location has 5G

Thanks for the info ! I guess it's just not available in my area yet, then
I could connect to 5G in Varanasi Airport. Speed was anywhere between 600 to 800 Mbps.

Question Unlock 5G

Hi folks,
I am not able to get 5G on my Samsung S22 Ultra here in India, which was imported from UK, so has the Exynos 2200 chipset. Although it supports all the 5G network bands required here, for some reason it does not switch to 5G. Is it because of any pending updates or so?
Could you guys help me out. Is there any way to unlock the device or something.
Thanks
