Any info on curves of the ultra? Is it more like s20 or note 10? - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

Hard to tell from the photos. I do like how the s20's are mostly flat besides the corners.

It's pretty much identical to the Note 10+. I actually compared it to the S20 Ultra today, but didn't think to compare the amount of the curve. I THINK the edges are a little less drastically curved than the S20 Ultra. The actual corners of the screen are almost square. They have a much lower radius curve than the S20 phones.

Anyone notice the small gap between glass and bezel on note 5? annoying dust collecting, my is the black version from T-Mobile. Defect, or design as is, as Samsung cliams? Thanks!

I have the gold one and I don't notice any dust collecting in there or I just can't tell bc it's a light color. I'm pretty sure they are designed that way bc even the my N3 and my N4 have a very small area between the bezel and the glass. It's far better on the N5 then previous models imo. I don't really even notice it on the 5.

plastic display??

ehi guys! just moved from my old S7 to my pixel 2 and i love most of it, but i'm really surprised about the display! it feels so plastic even compared to my almost 2 years old S7! is it normal? i read lots of review and no one complained about it.. i'm really really disappointed about it! it feels so mid-range compared to the premium feeling of the s7
It is gorilla glass 5...all of the 2017-2018 flagship phones have it so it should feel the same as a Samsung S8, HTC U11, LG, etc. It is designed to be softer than previous gorilla glass for better shatter protection...but reviews indicate it is more prone to scratching. Maybe it affects feel as well. I recommend getting a 9H screen protector with the nice premium feel you're after.
As above, it's this year's Gorilla Glass. Don't know why you think it feels like plastic: I'll be surprised if your fingers can tell it's slightly softer (it's still harder than the metal of your keys, after all), but maybe it's smoother, less sticky or warmer, something like that that you are interpreting as plasticky?
To be honest the 9H screen protector I put on mine (more as a "sacrificial" layer to reduce the risk of shatter than for the scratch protection) doesn't feel noticably different from the glass of the screen to me.

How good is the Gorilla glass protection?

Hi,
I recently bought the note-10 and I wanted to use the phone without any screen protectors/tempered glass to make the best use of the beautiful display.
My one-plus 6 held-up pretty well over a period of 15 months that I used it for, but since this a higher grade display...I wanted to know if by keeping good care the note 10 will do well too.
Your thought?

Every generation of Gorilla Glass scratches at 6 on Mohs scale. Expect there to be nothing different than any other generation.

I have read some reports of some users that the screen seems to be a bit easier to scratch then older models

I found that true in my case where Note4, after all these years, has no visible scratches despite having no screen protector (but within case) and yet my, now replaced with N10+, Note 9 had a tiny scratch across oleophobic coating after a month of use.

That's because they soften the glass to improve overall durability from drops. This makes it softer in most cases. So it may not shatter as easy but may scratch more easily.

Curved display or not?

Anyone know if the display screen has curved edges or not? I haven't head this mentioned in all the reviews that I saw.
Curved screen is difficult to put screen protector, at least from my experience with Google Pixel 2 XL (my current device).
Not curved
It's 2.5D. There is a slight curve on the edge, although it's nothing like Samsung and OnePlus phones have been. It's pretty comparable with the previous Pixel screens' curves.

So, it is like Pixel 2/2 XL then. And for that, I found it difficult to get a good tempered glass screen protector because of the slight curved edge.
At the end, I bought from WhiteStoneDome which was very expensive.
Oh well .............
Yeah make sure you get a glass screen protector that doesnt go to the edge or else you will have gaps rising up. I have one on right now that none of the edges stick at all.

Question S22 Ultra in graphite. Plastic back?

Got my S22 Ultra in graphite today. I am almost 100% sure the back is plastic. I got ahold of support and they said it's supposed to be gorilla glass. Has anyone else gotten an exclusive color that can comment?
I got the same one, it's not plastic.
Brass won't scratch glass, plastic it will.

What makes you sure that it's a plastic back? Have you compared it to another s22 Ultra of another color?

Same on my N10+'s. Been a while since Samsung used a plastic back panel on their flagship line.
I think it just feels like plastic and whatever is inside is making it sound like plastic if you tap it.
I think it is very simple: people confuse matte glass with plastic; I can assure you Samsung is not lying when saying Gorilla Glass Victus+ for back also
SMH, just throw it against the floor and you will see it's glass.

It actually cool it's textured glass. That's an improvement but it's not a ruggedized phone and needs a case. So in the end it doesn't matter.
My 3 yo N10+'s have better form factor; 7 mm thickness with spen on the right side. And in the bloody sim card tray is a SD card slot.
Samsung is looking as goofy as Korean graffiti lately... idiots.
Are you guys being serious at all? It's CLEARLY matte glass.
