After you apply all these settings you will find shot captured in Portrait mode is better and has less noise than normal camera
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*Please I need "Thanks"

Thanks!! The back camera settings worked perfectly for me. Capture speed is waaaay faster than ZGCam, for example. With indoor pictures, noise reduction is also working very well.
Front camera, otherwise, doesn't have the same quality. In the regular shot function, the colors are kind of washed out, and in portrait mode the picture ends up too bright. I'll see if I messed up some settings.

Google Camera pink tint fix for Omnivision sensors(MIDO)

A few days ago I was browsing reddit r/Xiaomi section and commented on this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/77p2va/i_have_a_note_4x_with_an_omnivision_sensor/dot4b9e/ about the pink tint issue that we are experiencing on Omnivision sensors. To make it short, a redditor (GeorgeKiarie) asked to post samples of the pink tint issue.
I was providing him samples of photos with pink tint and basically running some tests for him. Right off the bat when he saw the photo with pink tint, he came to a conclusion that the black levels in the camera libraries are incorrect. According to GeorgeKiarie, the default black levels was 16 16 on the Omnivision camera libs which is incorrect as it should have been 64 16.
The fix: GeorgeKiarie has modified libmmcamera_ov13855_qtech.so and change the black levels from 16 16 to 64 16.
Requirements:
- TWRP Recovery
- Root(to enable camera2 api obviously)
- Camera2 API
- GCAM version 4.0(attached)
Disclaimer: I have not done extensive testing on this fix. I have only tested this on my device (16/3gb RAM variant) so I cannot guarantee that this will also work for you. I am not responsible for any kind of damage (if any) that it may cause once you've flashed the fix but I will provide a flashable zip to revert back to default just in case. As usual, flash at your on risk.
I've also NOT tested the fix on other GCAM versions besides the one I've attached and the latest GCAM 5.1 but in theory, it should work on all GCAM ports for mido. Take note that most of my tests were done with gcam 4.0. I've also tested it on gcam 5.1 and it seems to work fine but I've only took a few shots with it.
Steps:
1. Download the attachment "Pink Tint Fix.zip"
2. Reboot to recovery and flash zip.
3. Download and install Gcam 4.0 from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6OCKwxBBePEQmowWm5mRUR3Tk0
4. Enable HDR+ and enjoy good quality low light photos
Bugs:
- Camera crashes after taking photos in good lighting conditions but only when HDR+ is enabled.
- Random camera crashes even in low light conditions
- Camera stuck in "processing" when taking a photo under good lighting conditions
- Shutter button is greyed out and/or not responding when taking a photo under good lighting conditions
- All other bugs present in Google Cam 4.0 port.
All the above mentioned bugs only happens when HDR+ is enabled. It seems that HDR+ does not work when enabled under good lighting conditions. Please do not ask me to fix it as I am no developer. I only helped in testing. Hopefully someone smarter than me can fix these bugs. Please feel free to post fixes If you've found one and I'd include it in the OP.
All credits go to redditor GeorgeKiarie. I only helped in testing the fix and creating a flashable zip. If you wanna thank him, just visit the reddit link above and message him or something.
PS: As mentioned above, I am not a developer so all these has been written the way I've understood the issue and how it was fixed, I'm just relaying the information provided to me. Please feel free to correct me if you see something wrong and I'd gladly edit my post.

I don't have that problem, else I would test it.
On a technical note, what the guy has done is to to change the values at offset 12798 (0x31fe) from "78 41" to "80 43".
Just tested and it works but on latest version it has a slightly white tint that blurs the image

I did not experience this when I've tried the latest version. Probably the settings? Then again I haven't tested thoroughly on the latest version.

Let me explain: the latest test version from the guy that ported the camera to other phones has removed the pink tint that was previously present, and replaced it with a slightly less obnoxious white tint.
It's not great still, but also with the fix you posted my camera crashes a lot, sometimes it snaps on hdr+ sometimes nothing happens and it freezes. So the basic idea may be right, but someone can hopefully improve it

it worked. but the photos will get some coloros in the low light/at night,it's normal?(you can see the photo below, plz ignore my poor camera technology).maybe it will work better in the daytime(so i will still test it tomorrow)
anyway, it's better than the pink photos, and better than no HDR+ .
and thank you very much for doing this.:good:

Ok @chickentuna the google hdr+ is working.
Using the magic manager to install google camera patch fix the slow motion error.
BUT.
What about the dark video recording?

I have a modified apk(gcam 4.2) which came from GeorgeKiarie that has the fix hardcoded in it. I'm currently testing it and it seems that it produces much sharper HDR+ images. However there are no extra settings and you use is as it is. No HDR+ configurations just HDR+ OFF, AUTO and ON. It still crashes randomly but I think it's much stable than modifying the camera libs. Colors are rich and look better too. Perhaps I should add it in the OP for you guys to test?

Google Camera ported app on OP5T

As some of you know the Google Camera app with HDR On is great to shot low light pictures. However OP5 users as myself aren’t as lucky when using the modded Google Camera app as as users from other devices.
With OP5 we have bugs that seem to be applicable only to our case: touch to focus not working along HDR & dots pattern issue visible when you zoom in certain pictures shot with the modded camera.
Therefore I would like to ask for a favor to the first OP5T owners:
Download and install this modded camera app (I pick this version because it’s simple without tons of settings)
Test if touch to focus work when HDR is enabled and if the picture is saved (do not confuse touch to focus with touch to change main point of exposure)
Shot some pictures with low light
Feedback in this thread
If someone want to try one of the last versions of the app, then you can download it from here (shout out to Kisakuku).
The last modded version as per today 21st November is "MGC_5.1.016_7.0+C2API_v.1.3a_AllinOne.apk", but as I said the new new versions contain lot of settings that make it really time consuming to find the appropriate ones for each device.
That’s why in the OP I posted just the last version of Google Camera app with the minimum edits needed to get the HDR feature working on any Android 7.1.1 / Snapdragon 835 phones.
Yeah I dl "MGC_5.1.016_7.0+C2API_v.1.3a_AllinOne.apk"
No working focus touch
The picture is saved
They both seem pretty bad but I'm not an expert.

Are those 2 pictures that you uploaded shot with HDR On? Which settings are you using?
In OP5 depending on the combination of settings used in the app touch to focus can work or not work, but usually it’s hit and miss so it can stop working randomly.
Do you notice small dots when you zoom in on the pictures shot with GoogleCam and HDR On?
I just would like to know if OP5T has the same bugs with the ported GoogleCam has the same bugs that we have on OP5.
To make it more clear on which version and settings to use:
Please test this most recent version: https://drive.google.com/open?id=149yvCKyk2F75z_snuSjbivKF5PiWtkT9
with these settings from the screenshots: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74417844&postcount=1215
In "Advanced" settings, enable HDR+ control right at the top!
Afterwards restart the camera app (completely swipe it away from recent apps), restart it and set the HDR+ toggle to "HDR+ Enhanced".
It is also important to get some shots in daylight, as the OP5 had issues with a constantly visible dot pattern in light areas.
Also please do not upload the shots directly through the forum, as they get downsampled and compressed. Use an imagehoster like abload.de for example, or even Google Photos.
Of course it is even better to additionally post a similar shot you took with the stock camera app, so we get a better picture of how this mod works on the OP5T.
Thanks for testing!

Seems gcam's got a tendency towards a cooler white balance..same thing happens on the Essential phone. Which would you say best matches reality, color-wise?
I don't know about color but the OP is suffering from pretty major loss in detail. There's a couple of spots of light creeping through that's clearly visible in the GCam but not so much in the OP. The OP is also suffering from a lot of graininess... the top left corner next to the suitcase is a good example.

Yes, all settings are as mentioned in #5. I don't believe Touch to Focus is working, all it's doing is changing point of exposure (although I've never used TTF before so I could very well be wrong). Also the post-processing is incredibly quick with HDR+ Enhanced enabled. Coming from a Nexus 6p where it used to take ages, I can't tell if the OPT5T is just that fast or the HDR+ is just not working on the GCam app.

You could set the processing to medium or super high to see if it makes a difference in speed.
Should take much longer on the highest setting.

Dear owners of an OnePlus 5T and maybe 5 too,
please grant me an answer to a really important question: Is the Camera2-API bug fixed for the OP5T or is it still valid and OnePlus didn't do anything against it?
Please do following:
Download Open Camera > Go to settings > Scroll down > Switch on Camera2-API > Cover the rear camera with your hand > Read the values at the very top of your screen:
• If ISO 799 and 1/16,7 is still here: Nothing was fixed. Please leave a reply.
• If values differ from those values (ISO 799 1/16,7) OnePlus finally fixed the Camera2 API. Please also leave a reply.
Thanks in advance.

A couple more from my apartment with considerable sunlight (the first is stock, the second with more overexposure of GCam with recommended settings)

Working Pixel cam with HDR+ and standalone portrait on s8 (exynos-nougat)

This is not my work. I'm only providing links of others work, and hope someone can develop the app further for s8.
This is the version I found that has working front and back camera included tap to focus.

Config cam: Nexus 6 hdr+
Hdr+ parameter: High

My findings: Great detail( good for portraits), preserves highlights, some more noise, pinkish/purple edges in very low light, some halo/rainbow effect in some pics, fast shutter (great for capturing movement out and indoor).
Update1. Portrait
Working Portrait mode for back camera only. In this version tap to focus i slow.
Tip for the full experience is installing this version with AppCloner app (change name to portrait) and have both versions installed at the same time. Use this version just for Portrait mode.

(settings: see added pics.)
Is the the latest version of Google cam or the old version of Google cam?
Yes, One of the latest working cam on s8. You could try newer versions ( se "Kisakuku" s other uploads and see if it works). There seem to be small difference in photo quality among different versions.
Thanks
There is a newer versione with portrait mode. but here on my G950F don't works. Hope to get it very soon. Probably it's working for snapdragon version.. hope we will get on exynos too!! https://www.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-portrait-mode-port-non-google-android-oreo/
Try this mod with your setting. I worked very well but very slow when i took the picture. Due of the hdr + is this normal ? Sometimes the image is freezing or black for few second.
Yes,hoping for a working portrait mode. Also that some of the other issues mentioned get fixed.
The app isnt perfect but I'm thrilled it works so well on an non pixel/snapdragon phone. One downside is the processing time and shutter lag. That isnt the same as slow capturing the moment. The shutter is fast when taking picture and freeze movement more often than on stock. The pics for me turns out great. Even better results than the same app on s7 (installed on my girfriend's phone). Both picture quality and the image stabilization function. I now even use this app more than native S8 camera.
A tip is to install BxActions and use doublepress on the bixby button to open the camera.
Yep i wanna try some shoots someday for comparisons.
Honestly i don't even know we can capable working hdr + on exynos.
So thanks for this ?

Arnova8G2's Google Camera Port got updated days ago with a new version : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79011638&postcount=1333 - I'm on Oreo Stock.
When i install it (not the TinNeun version, the other one), the app doesn't crash but screen is black.. Perhaps a little tweak and it'd all work?

Here is a full working Google Pixel Camera V.5.1 with HDR+ and 4K Video Record (30FPS) for the S7 Exynos modded by IDan1109 :
Video only works in 1920x1080p (Full Hd) I also set the Picture Quality from 97 to 100 and Picture back camera to 16/9 and i set "Remove the ISO limit in dark conditions" - on
FOR 4K VIDEO RECORDING and Hevc activate hevc in devloper options from Gcam app and install the Magisk Modul Samsung UHD Camera2 Fix and ARCore from Playstore
Tested on S7 Exynos! Dont change to 60 FPS in video Mode otherwise you must uninstall and install the app again for video to work again. The pictures with HDR+ are much better compared with Zero Camera Mod HDR.

The 6.1 gets forced closed when i open it and it does not have all that options (settings) like V.5
I get a v. 6 to work but compared with v.5 the quality in 5 is much better!
Please tell us which v6 fully works for you (night mode..)

I can't even go to settings : it crashes at launch..! I'm using stock oreo. Do i know to install some patch (magisk or else)?
I am currently quite impressed by the GCAM xenius0 mod version provided by ExpressLuke. I guess it is still based on 5.1. Nevertheless, night shots look great. Besides Lens Blur, all works fine on my S7 Exynos (stock ROM). Here is the download link (scroll down to Google Camera Port): https://expressluke.ml/pages/extras.html
Best, maris

Interesting, never heard about that one before, i hardly imagine a v5 better than Irdn though, would you mind telling us what's better with it?
My feeling is that pictures at night are less noisy, and flash-light indoor picture are more homogeneously illuminated. I am using the default settings.

I have been taking pictures with this version for a while, I would recommend setting ON the "reduce contrast" for better shadow detail and adding in "Advanced setting HDR+" options, 1.2 in highlights saturation.
Just test it.

Google Camera 7.2 Astrophotography For Realme X2

I making this thread for Realme X2 Gcam 7+ because the settings and tweaking are a bit different from the the 6.2 and 6.3 Here
This is to avoid confusion as I won't have time to do tweaks on both 6+ and 7+ so, that it.
After trying over 25 different Gcam ports, I finally got a Gcam 7.2 that works for Realme X2 but you have to tweak the settings like I did to get the best.
The full tutorial is on YouTube Here:
I will drop some camera samples and the screenshot of my settings here incase you don't have time to watch the tutorial.
While you are there, you can also watch Adobe photoshot camera for Realme X2 too. I was surprised it worked fine.
It blew away the stock cam in Night sight there is no need to talk about the Astrophotography and I didn't bother uploading the samples comparisons between Night scape and Astrophotography - it's not a fair fight. But you can see it in the video.
Low noise, more details, close to real life color reproduction, and ability to tweak makes this 7.2 a thing of joy.
Still no 4k video but 1080p 30/60fps works fine.
No slow motion and wide angle lens too.
Apart from these, everyother thing works fine.
Great credits to @Urnyx05 who ported the camera for ( several devices) of which realme-x2 isn't one of.
I added a new seperate Youtube video tutorial Mastering Gcam v7.2 Advanced Settings for Realme X2
So you can watch that if you want to get the best images from your Gcam.
I am adding the direct link of the of the Gcam 7.2 by Unryx05 I used to be sure some people don't download the wrong one and have other issues I didn't experience. As I said in the video, I've tested over 25 different Gcam ports so make sure you are using the exact one I am using so as to Easy replicate the issues you are experiencing with my device. And talking about devices mine is Realme X2 EU Version (8/128G) RMX1993.

Turn off motion pictures and make sure your
Google photos is up to date.
Clearing app data might help.
Also let me know what operation you carry out before it crashes.
Hmmm Curious, when I toggle on, enable 2nd and 3rd lenses, I cant even open the app. I have to reinstall.
Added additional screenshots of my settings and tweaks. When I am less busy I'll write the full details here but until then, you can watch the video tutorial for now.
Interesting......
I grabbed the lastest from celsoazevedo, and I was using the latest Urnyx: Urnyx05: GCam_7.2.010_Urnyx05-v1.5.apk
but yours is v1.4.
v1.4 works.
I wonder what the small change is....(rhetorical)
still cant get the wide angle to work. But i found out by clearing cache I dont have to reinstall it....

Hi, thank you so much for the detailed guide and feedback, I'm waiting/looking for a version with slow motion and wide lens working, but still had no success. Please let we know if you find something.:fingers-crossed:
For those who are looking for a working Gcam, I am working on one with the great devs for Gcam including Urnyx05. The problem with Realme and BBK devices are they do not have correct color for gcam to process. Arnova helped greatly to fix it, and Cstark's apk works somewhat now. Also we will never be able to access the ultrawide lens or any other lens as Realme did not grant camera2 ID or access to them. Potentially root could work, but I am rooted but nothing works. We really need a kernel dev for our devices.

I said earlier that the secondary lenses don't work and will make the camera crash.
Just clear app data to use the camera again - it's quicker than reinstalling but you will lose your settings

It took a lot of testing and trying with plenty crashes and issues to come up with the v1. 4 as the best for Realme X2 for now. I am still trying and testing more especially for wide angle...

I almost gave up on Gcam because of that 'annoying' color processing from realme. But once I learnt to tweak it, I got a higher saturation with Gcam more than the stock cam, I knew that the Realme X2 has a great future with custom Roms. We just have to wait at least for Indian lunch on 17th Dec and maybe the customization will bloom.
