For download mode on your tab, you need to hold Power and Volume UP (not Down). Otherwise, you get into the recovery mode...

Yes. And you have to press Power or VolDown (I think?) to confirm -- it tells you right there. When you are finally in the download mode, you will see a message like "Downloading. Do not disconnect target..." That's when Odin should recognize your tablet and be able to start flashing.
You press Volume Down and Power. Until it appears the lobo you only keep pressing Volume down and dont power button.

[Guide]How to access recovery on Global Nokia 5.1 Plus

Hey guys,
I just found out how to access the working recovery on the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
Instructions:
1. Make sure USB debugging is enabled.
2. Run adb reboot recovery from your pc
3. When you see the android and the no command statement press power+volume up simultaneously.
5. Say hi to the recovery!
Hope this helps.
Sorry guys but pressing and holding power+volume up turned out to be useless; you need to run the command from a pc.

I meant that trying not to run the command and pressing volume up+power with the device off will not work as it will not bring you the message.

Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down "Volume up" and "Volume down" at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your phone.
> Connect the Galaxy Z Fold 2 to your PC/Laptop via a USB Type-C cable whilst the device is switched on
> Hold the power key and tap restart
> Once the phone begins to restart hold both Volume Up + Volume down together
> Press the Volume Up key on the next menu to enter download mode

How to go to the bootloader of Alcatel Joytab 9029W?

Holding Power and Volume doesn't seem to work and neither does just holding down.
I dont know the model of the phone and its functionalities but i suppose you have to turn it off, and then hold power + vol- or power + vol+

Volume Up puts it into recovery where it shows to wipe the cache or data, reboot, and turn off
Try power + vol- while powered off
If this still doesnt work then:
1) go to https://adb.clockworkmod.com/ and download the adb driver, put it in a folder you remember you are gonna need it.
2) open a command prompt
3) type cd (Here goes the full path to the folder with adb driver)
4) connect the phone to pc and type "adb reboot bootloader"

It seems that it SHOULD go to the bootloader but it only just turns on the device just like how doing adb reboot bootloader does..

Each computer ( Windows PC, Android phone, Apple Mac, etc.pp ) has a bootloader. That's the piece of software that initializes device's hardware components and then starts OS.

Unable to unlock bootloader

Hello everyone,
I am using a Samsung Galaxy A30s SM-A307FN/DS, I enabled the OEM Unlock option in developer mode, I am trying to unlock the bootloader by holding the Volume UP button while in Download Mode but this does not seem to work because I have the new download mode which goes straight in the download mode without asking if I am sure to continue. There is no text saying hold volume up to unlock bootloader
Thanks for anyone willing to help me.
PROBLEM RESOLVED:
To unlock the Bootloader on the Samsung Galaxy A30s SM-307FN do this steps:
Prepare the USB-C cable, connect it to a computer
Shut down the phone, when it's completely OFF, press volume UP and volume DOWN at the same time and after 1 second connect the USB-C cable.
Now, hold for 7 seconds the volume up button, press it again and your bootloader will be unlocked!
Congratulations! This literally took me a day to know :I
